Developing a Healthy Lifestyle Campaign Essay

  • As a template for you assignment

The health of society is determined by each individual’s health and is an essential component of the development of social infrastructure. A healthy lifestyle includes the following main elements: fruitful work, a rational mode of work and rest, eradicating bad habits, optimal motor mode, and personal hygiene. Bad habits like smoking play a significant role in the deterioration of people’s health. Therefore, developing a program aimed at prevention and eradication is crucial.

The first step is the company’s name, which should be easy to remember and relate to the campaign’s theme. AntiSmoking may be suitable for these stated purposes. Another critical step is to find out the target age group. Since the problem of teenage smoking is now quite acute in society, this would be an appropriate group (Kumboyono et al., 2018). Adolescents try to smoke not only out of curiosity but also out of a desire to imitate significant adults or peers and to be accepted into the company.

Moreover, if such functions as facilitating communication and adulthood are attributed to smoking, a teenager, overcoming the unpleasant sensations from the first trials and fear of punishment, can start smoking, and smoking will satisfy his essential needs. The cognitive abilities of adolescents are characterized by the regulation of attention, an increase in the mnemonic capabilities of memory, further activation and enrichment of speech, and the development of logical and abstract thinking. In this regard, it will effectively influence them through modern sources of information such as social networks and TV. The selected target group is most influenced by their peers and celebrities who may become their idols (Soh et al., 2018). Because of this, the main message that the campaign should convey should be proof that smoking is not an indicator of growing up but instead demonstrates naivety and ignorance about its harm. As mentioned above, social networks will be the most effective means of conveying information. In addition, organizing anti-smoking flash mobs can be an effective means of influence.

Summing up, the fight against smoking in any age category is an integral part of the formation of public health. It, in turn, has a positive effect on the activity and productivity of people in everyday tasks. It is crucial to convey to the younger generation that bad habits significantly impair their lives and harm the establishment of social ties.
