The Judo athlete Doo-young gets severely injured in a recent fight. The injury harshly damages his optic nerves, turning his eyes blind forever. Doo-young’s parents died when he was young, and his elder brother eloped from home. Go Doo-shik, his elder brother, is jailed for fraudulent activities. Doo-shik secures parole by showing his willingness to take care of his blind brother.

When Doo-young and Doo-shik were together, they resent each other due to the contrasting characters they share. But this time, they enjoy a fantastic brotherhood together. Doo-shik starts taking care of his blind brother and helps him adjust to his new life. He takes him to the public bath and helps him wash up. Later, he helps him dress like a gentleman, who can woo women just by his appearance.

After a few days together, Doo-young starts to get along with Doo-shik. He supports Doo-shik when he picks up an argument with a random man in a textile shop. After giving a lecture about how to woo girls, Doo-shik takes him to a pub. When Doo-shik is not around, a girl approaches him, claiming that she is a beauty goddess and kisses him. Watching the two make out, Doo-shik interrupts them, though Doo-young is surprised because of the kiss.

Doo-shik starts loving his brother unconditionally when he recognises cancer has already eaten up his good time on earth. To secure a safe life for his blind brother, Doo-shik prepares him to live a self-supporting life. He encourages Doo-young to win the Judo competition at the Olympics.

However, just before the final competition, Doo-young finds out about the illness of his brother from Lee Soo-hyun. Heartbroken by the just-known truth, Doo-young calls his brother and promises him to win the gold medal. On the other hand, admitted in the hospital, Doo-shik is watching the Olympic games on TV. After winning the gold medal for Judo in the Olympics, Doo-young sits near his dying brother in the hospital.

After the death of Doo-shik, Doo-young sits in a silent place, listening to the recording of the final words of his brother.

The sour relationship between Doo-young and Doo-shik in ‘My Annoying Brother’ turns into a touchy one. Family and the feeling of brotherhood are the most discussed and evident themes in the movie. The estranged elder brother of Doo-young returns to him when he learns about his injury and the loss of his eyesight in its aftermath. The elder brother, Doo-shik, is suffering from terminal cancer. Foreseeing the future of his blind brother alone in the wild world, he trains Doo-young to live the happy life of a gentleman. The agony endured by the dying brother to secure the life of his blind brother is presented precisely.

Also, ‘My Annoying Brother’ tells the inspirational story of the character Doo-young. The blind Doo-young continues to pursue his career as a Judo athlete for his dying brother. The film underlines the importance of encouragement and support in a person’s life. The encouragement of Doo-shik is the force that led Doo-young towards success. Furthermore, through the final audio note of Doo-shik, he assures the security of the family to Doo-young.

Put one on the computer that says, "Computer." Find his change jar and label it "143 cents." He'll be so confused.
• Play innocent. If he tries to chase you out, tell your parents you just tried to ask him a question and he got mad for no reason.
• Hold his belongings hostage. Say, "Oh, you need your phone? I know where it is. Give me a ride to the comic book store and I'll tell you."

• Go crazy: whistle, blow raspberries, make fart noises. The world is your oyster.
• Make sure your parents are in another room, so you can stop in enough time before you get into trouble.

• If you don't know where the router is, ask your parents to show you, because you're curious. Don't let on that you want to mess with it. Just say, "How does the internet work? Can you show me?" They'll be impressed.
• Just be sure to do this when he’s not in the middle of something really urgent that might get interrupted or ruined by resetting the router. Only mess with his internet access when you know he’s doing something trivial

• If he has an alarm, reset it for like 2 hours earlier than he would normally wake up. Nobody should have to wake up at 4 a.m. Except your older brother.

• Try to learn as much as you can from him. Older siblings usually know a lot more about their younger siblings than younger sibs do about them. Instead of annoying him, try to understand why he does what he does.

Telah dinantikan My Annoying Brother versi Indonesia di produksi oleh CJ ENM, bersama dengan Lifelike Pictures dan BASE Entertainment.

Trailer film My Annoying Brother sendiri telah tayang pada 26 Agustus 2024 kemarin dan berhasil meraih respons positif masyarakat Indonesia dan akan segera tayang pada 24 Oktober mendatang.

Pada film Versi Indonesia dari My Annoying Brother ini menampilkan Angga Yunanda dan Vino G Bastian sebagai pemeran utama yang menjadi saudara.

Penampilan keduanya diharapkan mampu menyampaikan dinamika persaudaraan yang khas dan menghadirkan nuansa yang emosional sekaligus menghibur bagi penonton Indonesia.

Sinopsis My Annoying Brother  

Kemal, seorang atlet judo berbakat, mengalami kecelakaan tragis yang menyebabkan dirinya kehilangan penglihatan.

Kehilangan ini merupakan pukulan besar bagi hidupnya, namun Kemal tidak menyerah pada keadaan.

Meski menghadapi keterbatasan fisik, ia tetap bertekad melanjutkan mimpinya untuk menjadi atlet judo profesional dengan tujuan mengikuti Paralimpiade, ajang olahraga internasional bagi atlet dengan disabilitas.

Di sisi lain, hubungan Kemal dengan kakaknya, Jaya, awalnya tidak begitu erat.

Jaya, yang menjalani hidupnya dengan cara yang lebih santai dan cenderung cuek, tak pernah benar-benar terlibat dalam kehidupan adiknya.

Namun, setelah kecelakaan itu, situasi berubah drastis.

Jaya tergerak untuk membantu Kemal melalui masa-masa sulitnya, dan perlahan hubungan kakak-adik yang sebelumnya renggang mulai terjalin kembali.

Seiring waktu, Jaya yang sebelumnya tampak acuh tak acuh, mulai menunjukkan dukungan yang lebih besar untuk Kemal, baik secara emosional maupun praktis.

Perjalanan mereka bersama penuh dengan momen-momen hangat, tawa, dan pelajaran hidup, yang akhirnya memperkuat ikatan persaudaraan mereka.
