The ICSE Board Class 10 results have been declared. The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) released the ICSE Class 10 results on May 6 2024. The ICSE Class 10 2024 results have been declared. All the students who appeared for the exams can visit the official website of the Council for the Indian Certificate Examinations (CISCE) to check their results. The table below will help students calculate the A Grade percentage in ICSE Class 10.

How to Calculate ICSE Percentage for Class 10?

To calculate the ICSE percentage for class 10, students will have to choose the scores of the best 5 subjects out of the 6. ICSE Class 10 results were declared on May 6, 2024. The below-listed steps will guide students to calculate their ICSE percentage for class 10.

• In ICSE Class 10, there are a total of 6 subjects.
• Students will have to select the best 5 and not consider the one in which they have scored the least marks.
• Then you have to add the marks of your best 5 subjects, divide them by 5 and then multiply by 100 to get your percentage.

Here is an example of how you can calculate your ICSE percentage: 

• English – 81
• Mathematics – 85
• History/ Civics – 88
• Science – 83
• Geography – 85 and
• Computer Applications – 75

Add the scores of the top 5 subjects. In this case: 81+85+88+83+85 = 422 ÷ 5 x 100 = 8440.

ICSE Total Marks in 10th Class

The ICE Class 10 exams were conducted from 21 February 2024 to 28 March 2024. ICSE Class 10 includes a total of 6 subjects, where each subject carries a total of 100 marks. The minimum passing mark in each subject is 33. The duration of each exam was 2 hours, and there were both objective and subjective questions. 

A.1 To calculate the ICSE Class 10 percentage, students have to select the scores of the best 5 subjects out of the 6. Add the scores of 5 subjects, divide it by 5 and multiply it by 100 to get your percentile.

A.2 To check your percentage of marks in Class 10, divide your marks by the maximum marks and multiply the score by 100.

A.3 ICSE is the best of 5 when it comes to calculating your percentage. There are a total of 6 subjects, out of which you are required to select the scores of the best 5.

While preparing for board exams along with textbooks, previous year's questions are also important. The more questions someone practices, the better they will score in the actual exam. Memorizing all the theories is no easy task, but if you practice these questions you will get familiar with the theory and gain some experience in solving the papers. 3. When is the right time to start solving the previous year’s question papers?

If theorem A was asked last year, it does NOT mean it won’t be asked this year. It also does not mean theorem B will certainly be asked. Don’t fall for such assumptions and steer away from such judgments of your own. Treat the papers as just a testing ground for your self-analysis and nothing more than that.

5. Is it necessary to ‘solve’ the papers or just going through them is enough?

Put simply, it is best if you solve the papers and not just go through their solutions. While it may be difficult to finish all of the previous year’s papers, it is advised to finish at least 4-5 sets for each subject. Anything more than that will be like giving yourself an added advantage. Also, try to solve them under timed conditions and in an environment closely emulating that of the final paper.

In the ISC and ICSE exams, more boys appeared compared to girls. Here are the total numbers of candidates who appeared

In the CISCE 2023 results, girls outperformed boys in both ICSE and ISC classes. Among ICSE candidates, 99.21% of girls passed compared to 98.71% of boys. For ISC, 98.01% of girls passed while 95.96% of boys passed. This trend mirrors the results from 2022, where girls had also performed better than boys, with a pass percentage of 99.52% compared to boys’ 99.26%.

The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations ( CISCE ) is set to announce the ISC and ICSE results today at 11 am. Students have less than half an hour left to access their scorecards.

Anupriya Sinha, from Lucknow, emerged as the top performer, scoring 98.8% in ICSE class 10th, which translates to 494 out of 500 marks. With ambitions for a medical career, Sinha plans to delve into Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) during her 11th and 12th grades.

In the previous year, five ISC students clinched the top rank with each scoring 399 marks. These students were Riyaa Agarwal, Ipshita Bhattacharyya, Mohd Aryaan Tariq, Subham Kumar Agarwal, and Manya Gupta.

After the results are declared, CISCE will permit students to request re-checking and re-evaluation of their marks.

The Class 12th Psychology examination was rescheduled from May 27 to April 4 after a question paper packet was reported lost at one exam center.

The ICSE and ISC exams had begun on Feb 21 and were originally planned to conclude on April 3. However, the exams were extended till April 4 due to the rescheduling of two papers. The Class 12th Chemistry paper, initially to be held on Feb 26, was postponed to March 21 due to unforeseen circumstances.

Last year the pass percentage for ICSE students stood at 98.94%. Among ICSE examinees, girls achieved a pass percentage of 99.21%, whereas boys achieved a pass percentage of 98.71%.

Here are the steps to follow for accessing results on the Careers Portal:

– Upon logging in, click on the ‘Examination’ tile.

– Navigate to ‘ ICSE ‘ to access the ICSE (Class X) Year 2024 Examination Results or ‘ ISC ‘ for the ISC (Class XII) Year 2024 Examination Results on the Menu Bar.

– Select ‘Reports’ from the ICSE / ISC menu.

– Choose ‘Result Tabulation’ to view or print the School’s Result Tabulation.

– Click on ‘Comparison Table’ to view or print the same.

The Tabulation Register will be accessible on the CISCE Careers Portal for schools to view or print. Schools can access it by logging into the Careers Portal using the School Principal’s login ID and password.

The names of the ICSE and ISC toppers will be unveiled simultaneously with the results announcement at the press conference. Stay tuned with us for fresh updates.

In 2023, 14,149 Scheduled Caste candidates participated, with a pass percentage of 98.36%. Additionally, 8,248 Scheduled Tribe candidates sat for the exam, achieving a pass percentage of 96.92%. Among the candidates from Other Backward Classes, a total of 53,251 individuals took the examination, with a pass percentage of 98.98%.

CISCE will make the tabulation register for ICSE and ISC results available on the CAREERS Portal. Schools can access it by logging in with the school principal’s login ID and password, as per the council’s announcement.

To access their ICSE and ISC exam marks, students must log in using the following details:

– Unique ID

– Index number

– Captcha code displayed on the login page.

Schools can reach out to the council’s helpdesk regarding any inquiries concerning the ICSE and ISC results via email at helpdesk@ cisce .org or by dialing 1800-203-2414.

Apart from the board websites, CISCE will also publish the Class 10 and 12 results on DigiLocker, accessible at results.digilocker.gov.in.

Beginning this academic session, CISCE has ceased compartment exams for Classes 10th and 12th. Instead, candidates now have the option to take improvement exams in a maximum of two subjects to enhance their marks or grades within the same academic year. These improvement exams will be held in July.

For ISC, the exam was held in 47 written subjects, including 12 Indian languages, 4 foreign languages, 2 classical languages.

ICSE and ISC exams started on February 21 and were supposed to end on April 3. However, the exams continued till April 4 as two papers had to be rescheduled. The Class 12 Chemistry paper scheduled for February 26 was postponed to March 21 due to “unavoidable circumstances”. The Class 12 Psychology examination was also rescheduled to April 4 from May 27 after one exam centre reported the question paper packet was “lost”.

Candidates can apply for rechecking of results at “ Public Services” on the CISCE’s website: cisce.org. The recheck module will be activated after the declaration of results on May 6, 2024, and will be available up to May 10, 2024.

“No further request for recheck of results of the ICSE / ISC Examination Year 2024 will be entertained thereafter,” the board said.

For both classes, the fee will be ₹ 1,000 per paper.
