Tumkur University Admission for the 2024-25 academic year has started for various offered programs on its official web portal. Candidates who complete a bachelor's degree with 50% from any recognized university can take admission to the postgraduate degree courses at Tumkur University. The university is starting the counseling for postgraduate courses on 07 November 2024 and the last date was  20 October 2024.

This University also has 12 postgraduate departments and 2 constituent colleges. It also provides a research center. There are 29 research centers.

These research centers promote advanced multi-disciplinary research. This university provides education in four categories Commerce and Management, Arts, Science and Technology, and education.

Tumkur University Eligibility Criteria

1. That applicant who takes the  Tumkur University  Admission 2024 in PhD courses then requires a master's degree with 55% marks from a recognized university.

2.  The applicant who has the degree of M.Phil from the same university or other recognized university in the relevant subject then also applies for admission to  Ph.D. Degree course.

3. A candidate who has not cleared the  UGC/ CSIR (JRF)/ SLET/ GATE exams then the university takes the admission based on entrance exams conducted by the university.

Tumkur University BA Admission:  The candidate should have passed 10+2 with a recognized Board with 45% marks in Arts, Science, or Commerce.

Tumkur University B.Ed. Admission:  Students have to secure a minimum of 50% marks in the science stream from a reputed board.

I will be staying in Adler during the Olympics but going frequently to Rosa Khutor for the alpine skiing. Any idea what is the best public transport to get there? Is the train to Krasnaya Polyana the best solution? How long will it take? Best thanks your advice!

Founded in the middle of the 19th century, this village only consists of two streets and two lanes. Circled by a picturesque chestnut forest, Aul Tkhagapsh is surrounded by many visually-arresting natural landmarks – a mysterious rock formation called “the canyon of a hundred crying eyes”, beautiful waterfalls with organically formed stone basins and the Tiger cave, which is called so because of the whimsical clay dripstones. Despite its tiny size, the village itself has a lot to offer. You can see the only wooden mosque on the coast, learn about the customs and traditions of the Adyghe people, try on traditional clothes and taste authentic food and local wines.

If you love picturesque ancient ruins put the Loo Temple on your must-see list. Drowning in the lush greenery of the Sochi National Park, Loo Temple is the remains of a 10th-century Byzantine temple, that’s been ruined and reconstructed multiple times. The temple was used as a place of worship and a fortification over the years.

Aibga Ridge

This spectacular mountain ridge stretches for 23 kilometers and has the Rosa Khutor Alpine Resort nestled at its feet. The ridge comprises of 10 peaks, with the four tallest being the best known: Aigba peak I (2391 m), peak II (2450,5 m), peak III (2462,7 m) and Black Pyramid (2375,3 m). Save a day or two to explore the ridge, full of rapid rivers, alpine meadows and waterfalls.

Achepsinskie Waterfalls

To admire the spectacular views that Achepsinskie Waterfalls offer, you’ll have to endure a pretty tiring trekking route through the Achishkho Mountain to the Achipse River. But those striking panoramas are totally worth the sweat and while the trekking may be tough going, it has a very decent infrastructure.

Lake Kardyvach

Arguably the most popular tourist spot near Sochi, Lake Kardyvach is simply breathtaking. Situated 44 kilometers from the Krasnaya Polyana resort at the altitude of 1838 meters, the lake stays frozen for seven to eight months a year and even in summer the water temperature is never hotter than 12℃. The water in the lake changes its color depending on the time of year: in spring it turns green and in autumn it becomes dark blue, and no matter what season, it’s unbelievably clear. Akhshtyrskaya Cave

A unique monument of prehistoric architecture, Akhshtyrskaya Cave is set on the right side of Akhshtyrskaya Gorge, about 120m above the Mzymta River and 185m above sea level. The cave begins with a 20m corridor and then gets divided into two halls, 10m and 8m wide. The cave has been heavily explored by archaeologists, who discovered traces of Neanderthal culture dating back to 40,000 BC.

Sochi is a unique destination. The combination of the Caucasus and the Black Sea gives the opportunity to develop winter recreation in the mountains and summer activities in the coastal zone in parallel. Sochi evolved as a spa resort in the beginning of the 1900s and gained its specialization as a health resort for mass tourism in the 1930s. Consolidation and saturation stages took place in the 1970-80s on the rise of domestic tourism when Sochi turned into a year-round resort for seaside recreation. Sochi went through decline stage in the 1990s it but was able to recover when the city of Sochi had the honour to host the Olympic Games in 2014. Now Sochi combines diverse opportunities for tourism development, including events and business tourism. The Sochi Olympics were not just a sporting event. Huge funds spent on preparation for the Games, and the priority of the Russian Government, which was used by the city, were to serve two main purposes: on one hand, to give impulse to regional development, create a modern infrastructure and turn Sochi into a world-famous winter resort and, on the other hand, to present to the whole world a new image of Russia as an open, modern and attractive country. The games were intended to be a catalyst for the development of Sochi as a winter resort and, together with its reputation as a summer holiday destination, turn this area into a year-round tourist destination. The study focuses on the legacy of post-Olympic tourism in Sochi, its preservation, growth and effective work in relation to the life cycle of the tourist zone of Sochi. Historical perspective and field studies, statistical and content analysis supported by in-depth interviews of tourism subjects reveal the key tourism development problems and ways for their solution in the post-Olympic period. Further improvement of the year-round tourism product of Sochi requires additional efforts in marketing promotion, smoothing of seasonal fluctuations, organization of work of the operator company on management of Olympic facilities and expansion of new types of tourism activities.
