For 20 years now, the National Foundation for Women Legislators and the National Rifle Association have joined forces for the Annual Bill of Rights Essay Scholarship Contest, which provides six female high school juniors or seniors a $3,000 college scholarship, an all-expense-paid trip to NFWL’s Annual Conference, and an award that will be presented at the event. To apply for the scholarship, students must write an essay on one of three topics announced each spring, get a letter of recommendation from a currently elected woman (on the state, county, or municipal level), receive a letter of recommendation from a school employee, and submit a resume. The NFWL believes that women are the strongest leaders of our future and they need to be encouraged and empowered to come forward and lead the world with their knowledge and potential. With over many years of experience, the NFWL has provided scholarships to various candidates from attending the top universities, finding non-profit organizations, and pursue their dream careers.

Given that, in order to prepare young women for the future to lead the world, the NFWL is presenting to you a 2021 Essay Student Scholarship Contest for the young female citizens of the U.S to participate in and win a chance to receive some exciting awards. The candidate must be enrolled in an accredited college or university in the state of Tennessee. The candidates will use the nomination form to nominate themselves and once nominated, NFWL will reach out to the student and ask for the remaining requirements. Once the requirements are satisfied, the NFWL will review the submissions and decide the final 5 winners of the scholarship. The winners will be awarded a one-time scholarship amount of $1,000.
