My native place is a peaceful, noiseless, pollution free and beautiful small town. For its location and cool environment, one can enjoy the beauty of nature. Due to scarce population, people do not reside too close to one another. Even our cottage is at a distance from other cottages. Flowers, fruits, trees, small plants and vegetables surround our cottage. All this makes the surrounding look green and fresh. One can see mountain at a distance touching the clouds. This further beautifies the surroundings.

During this vacation, I visited to my native place to spend a few days with my grandparents. I have many friends waiting for my return in vacations. I play and run with them for the entire day, especially on the big ground that lies behind our cottage. We play many traditional games such as hide-andseek, police-thief, kabaddi and chasing each other. This year I had carried a couple of cricket bats and a few balls to play cricket with my friends. Daily we played until the sky got dark.

During this year’s visit to my native place, an unforgettable incident had taken place. Gaurav was my classmates when I used to study in one of the local school there. By watching him, I started assuming that students who got bad marks must be bad in their lives. Even Gaurav was the one who got poor grades in our class. He always failed in doing his homework. He was frequently scolded by the teachers. For that reason, my friends and I believed that he was an unhelpful and a bad boy. Thus, we stood away from him.

This year during my visit to native place, one day after playing, I was returning home. Suddenly, I saw a small child who was about to drown in the well. I was shocked at the sight. People were standing surrounding the well and shouting for help. Nobody dared to jump into the well to rescue the child. Suddenly somebody jumped in the well and with great difficulties rescued the drowning boy. After trying very hard, he succeeded in bringing the child out of the well. However, the boy who saved the life of the child was completely exhausted. I was so amazed when I saw him because he was nonanother than Gaurav.

This year’s visit to my native place has taught me a good lesson of life. From that day, I have started thinking twice before building an opinion about any person. Whenever I visit to my native place, it always reminds me about my initial school years. Living among such friendly and simple people, is certainly a real pleasure to me.

The villages are mostly farmers or labourers. Some are potters, weavers, blacksmiths, fishermen and so on. There is a big market in our village. It is the heart of our village which throbs with the activities of the villagers. There are some brick-built buildings such as the mosque and primary and high school building. There are also a post office, a health-care centre and community centre. Our village has a good road, which links the village with the highway. The village is rich in cultural activities like Jatra, Jarigan, boat-race and bullock-race. Our village is also famous for cottage industries. Allah has sent us in this world for some time and we have to live in a fixed place for a certain period. In this certain period man first lived in village. Village is a very small town situated in a country area. In the foreign country village is used for a small place in another states that seems more old fashioned than a town. I have my native village.

Description: The name of my native village is -------------. It is in the district of Chittagong. It is a nice village situated on the bank of a river. My village is near about the high road. On one side of the road there are fields and meadows. On the other side there stands the rows of houses of the villagers. The inhabitants live in the village in peace and happiness.

Historical interest: The village is very old and has a long historic tradition. On one border of the village is to be found the ruins of a building. That spot indicate the reign of Mughal. There was once a very old aristocratic family in the village. But the family has long been destroyed. The house of that family which was once a centre of wealth and luxsury is now a mass of ruins. Wild animals and poisonous snakes now lived there.

Life of the villagers: The inhabitants of the village are simple, innocent. They are generally poor. Only a few Muslim families are well-off. They are very kind to the villagers and do everything in their power.

Occupation: Agriculture is the main occupation of the villagers. Jute and rice are the chief agriculture products of the village. There are also some weavers who made handloom cloths. There are few shops owned by some of the villagers. They supply all necessary to the people. On certain days markets are held in the place set apart for the purpose. At these markets people come here from villages for the purposes of buying and selling things. The goods in our village market are mostly cheap.

Educational Institutions: The percentage of education is 70% percent in our village. In the village there is a high school which provides education to the youth and children of the villagers. For a long time it was the only school within the distance of eight to ten miles. There is also a Free Primary School attached to the high school. The village has a post office which has got wire connection in it.

Communication: Communication to and from our village are easy. A good road runs from the district headquarters to the village. There is also boat service from the village to Chittagong.

Sanitation: The sanitation of the village is good. As the village is kept neat and clean. It is rarely visited by the epidemics. In the village there is a small charitable dispensary run by the District council. Besides there are some good physicians in the village.

The place where someone was born is called his native place. Some people live in villages and some people live in town. I was born in a town and have been living there since then. The town where I was born is famous for historical and cultural importance. My native town ‘Kritiput’ is situated to the South-West part of the valley of Kathmandu, the capital city of my country. It is situated on the bank of the two holy rivers, the Bagmati and the Bishnumati. The town is densely populated. Around fifty thousand people are living there. Moreover, many people are emigrating here from other parts of the country. By the result, the density of population is increasing swiftly every year. Majority of the population is covered with Newar people but there are other caste and sub-casts, too. The people belonging to Hinduism and Buddhism enjoy different modes of cultures and religions. Unity in diversity is candidly practised as the people have not been broken down into distinct fragments with varied dignity. Most of the people live in modern buildings and enjoy various types of modern facilities. As most of the people are well-educated, they are employed in various jobs belonging to different sectors. Some are doctors, engineers, professors, teacher’ and some are business employers and employees. Road transportation, electricity, clean drinking water, etc. are the basic facilities people have been enjoying for ages. People have been enjoying for ages. People are used to enjoying modern facilities. In the surroundings areas of the city, some people are farmers. They grow a lot of vegetables and supply to the people dwelling in the town. Kritipur stands as one of the famous historical places of the valley. One can enjoy historical and cultural architecture visiting here. Some traditional buildings seem rally beautiful and unique in art of religious, cultural and historical significance. They are kirti Vihar, adinath temple, Bagbhairab temple etc. The largest and oldest university, Tribhuvan University, is in Kirtipus. The hypotonic natural beauty and scenery of the university allure many people every year. Similarly, one can enjoy the worth-seeing mountain peaks to the western part of the city. The peaks are full of natural beauty. The way-out of the Bagmati and the Bishnumati is really strange and worth-seeing. Because of over population, urbanization and industrialization, the city is getting polluted. The holy rivers have already got polluted; the solutions and measures to these problems are being implemented. I feel I am fortunate to be the inhabitant of the city.

Calcutta is my native town. It is a very large town. Such a town is called a city. It stands on the left bank of the river Hooghly. The river is commonly called Ganga. Extent, population

Calcutta was once the capital of British India. In 1911 the capital was transferred to Delhi. Calcutta then became the capital of undivided Bengal. It covers a large area including the suburbs. The population of Calcutta, including that of the suburbs, is about seven millions. After the partition of Bengal in 1947, many people from East Bengal came and settled in Calcutta and its suburbs. So the population has much increased. Calcutta is a metropolitan city. Here we have people from all States of India and many parts of the world.

City of Palaces

Calcutta is called the city of palaces. Here there are innumerable palatial buildings. Many buildings have ten to fifteen storeys or more. The Secretariat building on the bank of the Hooghly river is thirteen-storeyed. This is one of the highest buildings in Calcutta. Besides the Secretariat building there are many other multistoried buildings, such as Jeevan Deep, Tata Centre, Nizam Palace and so on. Innumerable Government offices and offices of the mercantile firms are housed in very large and spacious buildings with many storeys. There are very bigmansions of rich men for residential purposes.

Educational Institutions

We have every facility of receiving education in Calcutta. There are three Universities in this city. One is Calcutta University. It is the biggest University in India. Here we have the opportunity of studying arts, science, medicine, engineering, technology, commerce and other branches of learning. Centre of Industry and Commerce

To carry passengers from one part to another the trams and buses are not enough to meet the growing need. Considering this the Central Government has introduced new methods of transport like the Metro Railway and the Circular Railway. After the completion of the two it is expected that the problems of transport will be solved to a great extent. Some fly-over bridges and subways have also been constructed to minimize congestion of traffic.

Arrangements for amusement

After the day’s hard labor people want recreation. In Calcutta there is ample provision for that. There are many theatre and cinema halls. Many people go there and enjoy the play and show. The radio and television sets in many houses are a source of amusement. There are also many playgrounds for outdoor games like football, cricket, tennis and hockey.

Objects worth seeing

In Calcutta there are many notable things. There are the Museum, the Zoo, the Victoria Memorial Hall, the Governor House, the Kidderpore Dock, the Howrah Bridge, the Pareshnath Temple, the Kali Temple at Kalighat, the Kali Temple at Dakshineswar, the Dhakuria lake, the Maidan, the Fort, the Eden Gardens, the Birla Planetarium, the Nehru Museum, the Jhilmil, the toy Train in Rabindra Sarobar, etc.

There are many advantages of living in Calcutta. Here we can get everything if we have money. But poor people are gradually finding it difficult to live in Calcutta. They can hardly meet the expenses of living here. Still Calcutta is the cheapest city in India.

He was interested in chess and coding, and had recently received an associate’s degree in engineering science. High school classmates remembered him as an intelligent student who had few friends, but who never exhibited any glaring red flags. The nursing home where he had a job helping with meals said his work gave its staff no reason for “concern.”

And in an era when other people his age put troves of personal information online, Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20, left few clues about who he was, what he believed, or why he decided to drive to a Trump rally in western Pennsylvania on Saturday and try to assassinate the former president.

On Sunday, federal investigators said a gunman they identified as Mr. Crooks had used an AR-15 style rifle purchased by his father to open fire from a rooftop outside the rally where the former president, Donald J. Trump, was speaking. In a series of new details, F.B.I. officials said they were investigating the incident as a possible case of domestic terrorism, and that the gunman had left behind explosives materials in the vehicle he drove to the event.

But many other details of Mr. Crooks’s life and motives were still unclear. Federal authorities said he had no apparent history of mental health issues or previous threats, and had not been on the radar of federal law enforcement.

Investigators were scouring his online presence and working to gain access to his phone, but so far had not found indications of strongly held political beliefs. In fact, the clues he left behind were confusing: He was a registered Republican but had also donated to a progressive cause in 2021; his parents were registered as a Democrat and Libertarian.
