In vocational education the teacher is facilitator. ICT usage in learning can minimize facilitator failure. Provision of media with technology by facilitator can be applied to PPLG majors in Basic Programming which abstract and complex concepts are studied. Abstract and complex systems can be explained through technological media that implement the concepts of analogy and metaphor. Learning media that used technology can facilitate the improvement of 4C skills, especially critical thinking skills. This research aims to develop learning media that utilizes technology, in the form of adventure games that apply guided inquiry models to improve critical thinking on conditional, looping, and array materials. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D), with a media development model adapting the ADDIE model. The research design used a one-group pretest-posttest. This research was conducted to X RPL 1 students of SMKN 13 BANDUNG. The research results include: 1) design of adventure game learning media that applies inkuiri terbimbing model and semantic waves framework, 2) critical thinking improvement value through n-gain test of 0.319, 3) students' responses to adventure game-based learning media with a score of 94.545% (Very Good). Based on the research results, the adventure game-based learning media can be utilized in vocational high schools for majors with abstract and complex content, such as PPLG in basic programming subjects. This study recommends expert validation at each stage, the development of cross-disciplinary content, increased student participation, expanded platform compatibility, and the integration of group and multiplayer features in the adventure game-based learning media.
