My favourite season is Summer. As the season is characterised by long days and short nights, there are ample daylight hours for outdoor activities. During the summer season, children in north and south India are free from school for a couple of months. They go for summer holidays to their favourite places with their parents and make these days their memorable childhood memories.

Summertime brings refreshing and water-packed food like muskmelon, cucumber, and peaches. These nourishments help the body get hydrated and benefit the body. Also, we get to enjoy ice cream, cold drinks, and other chilled refreshments. So, I enjoy this season thoroughly with friends and family while enjoying refreshing fruits and drinks.

Winter brings festival time to India and among them, Diwali is a major celebration. The festival comes with lights, decorations, and a spirit of togetherness. All these warming features make the festival a joyous occasion for families and friends.

250 Words Essay on The Season I Like Most

The allure of autumn.

Autumn, often referred to as fall, is the season I find most intriguing. As the transition between the scorching summer and the chilling winter, autumn stands as a symbol of change and transformation.

The Visual Symphony

The visual appeal of autumn is undeniable. It paints the landscape with a vibrant palette of red, orange, yellow, and brown. The leaves, once green and lively, transform into a myriad of colors before they descend, creating a picturesque carpet on the ground. This visual spectacle is a feast for the eyes and a source of inspiration for many artists and photographers.

The Harvest Season

Autumn is also the season of harvest, a time of abundance and gratitude. It brings a bounty of fruits, vegetables, and grains, marking the culmination of the agricultural cycle. This aspect of autumn has deep cultural and historical significance, celebrated worldwide through various festivals like Thanksgiving.

Symbolism and Reflection

Beyond its aesthetic and agricultural appeal, autumn carries profound symbolism. It stands as a poignant reminder of the impermanence of life. As leaves fall, they remind us of the cyclical nature of existence, encouraging introspection and acceptance of change.

The Comfort of Autumn

Lastly, autumn provides a comfortable climate, a respite from the extreme temperatures of summer and winter. The mild weather encourages outdoor activities, exploration, and the simple joy of a warm cup of coffee on a crisp morning.

In conclusion, the allure of autumn lies not just in its visual appeal, but also in its symbolic richness, agricultural significance, and comfortable climate. It’s a season that encourages reflection, gratitude, and the appreciation of nature’s artistry.

500 Words Essay on The Season I Like Most

The changing seasons of the year offer an array of experiences, each with its unique characteristics and charm. Among them, the season I appreciate most is autumn, the transition from the sweltering heat of summer to the frosty chill of winter. The balance of temperature, the vibrant colors, and the sense of renewal make this season particularly endearing.

Autumn’s Aesthetic Appeal

Autumn, often referred to as the “season of mists and mellow fruitfulness,” is a visual treat. The landscape transforms into a palette of warm hues as leaves change from green to shades of yellow, orange, and red. This spectacle of colors is not merely aesthetically pleasing, but it also stirs a sense of tranquility and introspection. The leaves’ fall, a symbol of letting go, teaches us the importance of shedding the old to make way for new beginnings.

The Balance of Climate

Autumn’s moderate climate is another reason for my preference. After enduring the intense heat of summer, the cool, crisp air of autumn offers a refreshing contrast. The pleasant weather is ideal for outdoor activities such as hiking, picnicking, and photography. It’s a time when we can enjoy nature’s bounty without the discomfort of extreme temperatures.

Harvest Season and Festivities

Autumn is synonymous with harvest season, a time of abundance and gratitude. This period is marked by several festivals worldwide, such as Thanksgiving in North America and the Mid-Autumn Festival in China. These celebrations foster a sense of community and shared joy, making autumn a season of togetherness.

Autumn and Literature

Literature and poetry have long celebrated autumn’s charm. From John Keats’ “To Autumn” to Robert Frost’s “Nothing Gold Can Stay,” the season has inspired profound reflections on life, change, and impermanence. This literary association adds a layer of depth to my appreciation of autumn, making it a season of intellectual stimulation.

In conclusion, autumn is the season that appeals to me most for its aesthetic beauty, balanced climate, festive spirit, and its resonance in literature. It is a time of transition, a pause between the extremes, filled with introspective beauty and communal celebrations. Autumn, with its vibrant colors and mellow essence, is a gentle reminder of life’s transient nature and the beauty inherent in change.

Here in this lesson, you are going to learn to write short essays on the topic ‘My Favorite Season.’ Here, I will write three different sets of sample essays on this topic that will cover different word limits important for various exams.

Table of Contents

Feature image of Short Essay on My Favourite Season

My favourite season of the year is summer. It begins in April and ends in June. During the summer season, days are long and nights are short. The skies are clear and the sun is bright. We get month-long summer vacation and can stay at home with our parents and family without having to worry about school. We usually go to visit our grandparents in the village during the summer season.

In the village, I get the opportunity to play with the neighbourhood kids in mango and guava orchards that surround my grandparents’ place. They teach me new games and I always have a great time with them. Summer is also the season of mangoes. We get to eat so many varieties of juicy, delicious mangoes.

My favourite season of the year is winter. The Winter months are very cold as the temperature drops low. It also snows in the northern, high-altitude parts of the country. We wear a lot of warm clothes and eat hot foods to keep us warm. Our metabolism increases during the winter season and thus, we can eat a lot of delicious food. Hot drinks like tea, coffee and hot chocolate are also welcomed.

During the winter season, we usually go on a week-long vacation to hill stations to enjoy the snow. I make snowmen with my parents and siblings and go ice staking as well. There, at night, we create small bonfires to warm ourselves and chit-chat with each other. Winter is also the season of festivities as we celebrate Diwali, Christmas and New Year in winter.

My mother always bakes cakes for us on Christmas and they are warm and delicious. When I don’t have school, I like staying in bed covered in a thick quilt and reading my favourite storybooks. I also go out to play cricket and badminton with my friends every afternoon as it warms my body and keeps me active. Due to the cold weather, we don’t sweat much and can play for a long time. Because of all these reasons, I like the winter season.

Out of the four predominant seasons, my favourite is the monsoon or the rainy season. It starts to rain heavily all over the country by July. As it rains, the water washes away all the dust from plants and trees, making them look green and beautiful again. As the rain hits the dried-up ground, the smell of wet earth fills the atmosphere and makes our hearts dance.

New seedlings begin to sprout and grasses and plants begin to grow all around us. Our surroundings are covered in green and look very mesmerising. As India is an agricultural country, the rainy season is very important for us. Rains irrigate fields and help crops grow. Without rain, most of our major crops will fail, causing loss of business and even starvation. As my grandparents and uncles are farmers, I have experienced the joy that the rainy season brings to farmers very closely.

I also like the rainy season because when it rains heavily, I do not need to go to school. Sometimes, even my parents take leave and then our whole family gets to enjoy the day together. My mother makes delicious fritters with tea which we enjoy while playing board games like ludo and carrom. My father is very fond of flowering plants and we have a lot of plants in our garden. During the rainy season, our garden looks majestic with hundreds of blooming flowers in many different colours.

My friends often come over to my house and we enjoy playing in the garden when the rain stops. We make paper boats and put them in water puddles. Sometimes, we also compete to see whose boat would go farther. Sometimes our parents allow us to go outside when it is raining and then, we enjoy jumping in puddles, getting drenched and playing in rain. It is very fun to play in the rain. After that, my mother makes hot soup for us to warm us up.

When it rains at night and electricity is cut, we get to enjoy our food in candlelight. After dinner, we go straight to bed and tell each other ghost stories. I and my siblings always try to scare each other. When it rains for days, I like to sit by the window and read my favourite books while watching the rain. The rainy season is very special for me and when it ends in September, I wish for it to come quickly next year.

My Favourite Season essay: There are six seasons in India. In this article, you are going to learn how to write an essay/paragraph on my favourite season or the season I like most. Here, we’ve included essays/paragraphs on all the six seasons of India. So, let’s begin.

Table of Contents

Essay on My Favourite Season Winter

Winter is the best of all seasons and I like this season the most. December, January and February are the three winter months. The weather at this time is very pleasant. In this season we can work hard but do not get tired. We put on warm clothes and enjoy the bright sunshine. The nights are very cold. The night in a warm bed under a quilt is very comfortable.

Paddy is harvested in this season. Colourful seasonal flowers grow in gardens. Fish, vegetables and fruits are also available in plenty in this season. They are very cheap also. This is the most suitable time for holding picnics in the open air. We can go out and hold excursions in winter.

Various types of fairs are held and festivals like Saraswati Puja, Christmas, and New Year’s Day are celebrated in this season. While we enjoy the cool comfort of the winter, the poor people suffer a lot during these months. They do not have warm clothes to protect them from cold. Overall I love this season very much.

My Favourite Season Summer Essay

Of all the six seasons, my favourite season is summer. It is the hottest season of the year. The summer season starts in March and ends in June. In this season the sun shines brightly. The best part of this season is summer vacation. This is a great relief from a hectic schedule, home works, and exam pressure. I enjoy the vacation by going to a beach or a hill station with friends and families. In summer I like to have cold drinks, lassi, ice cream, and coconut water.

We get many fruits in this season like mango, watermelon, litchi, jackfruit, pineapple etc. Many festivals such as charak puja, Rama Navami, Baisakhi, Rabindra Jayanti, etc. are celebrated in this season. There are varieties of fruits and vegetables available during this season. Many beautiful flowers like Lilly, Marigold, Roses, Dahlia, and Sunflower bloom in this season. Summer is just a wonderful season with so much fun and enjoyment.

my favourite season summer essay

My Favourite season Rainy Season

The season I like most is the Rainy season or monsoon. In India, this season begins in mid-June and ends in early September. Rainy season comes after the scorching heat of summer season and gives us relief. Clouds float here and there in the sky. Lightning and thunder occur frequently. People can be seen with umbrellas and raincoats. Dry rivers and lakes become full.

Farmers plough their fields. Children become very happy. They make paper boats and dance in the rain. A variety of fruits, vegetables, and crops grow in this season. Beautiful flowers blossom in this time. Beautiful rainbows can be seen in the sky.  This season brings a lot of festivals like Raksha Bandhan, 15th August, Teej, Janmashtami, etc. We can enjoy various types of dishes in the rain.

But sometimes heavy rainfall brings the flood. Flood causes many to lose their lives, houses, and livelihood. On the other hand, if there is no rainfall for a long time, drought can occur. This causes extensive damage to crops. So, the Rainy season is an important season for us.

During the rainy season, the sky remains overcast with clouds. Rains fall continually. But, with autumn, the clouds are no more. A deep blue sky spreads, like a deep blue sea. The white patches of clouds float like little fairy boats.

The day looks golden with the sun shining. The night has a silvery moon, with its silvery luster. The millions of stars, too, sparkle. Now and then, rain begins to fall thick and fast. But then suddenly the rain stops and, again, a deep blue sky smiles. In autumn, the rivers are full to the brim. The fields are all green and golden with crops. Men and women are busy among them, reaping the harvest. Nature and man seem to unite in one mood of peaceful gladness. Autumn is my favourite season.

The Season I Like Most

Bangladesh is the blue-eyed child. of nature and that is why she has embellished our country with fascinating sights, sounds and colours. Depending on these, we have six seasons in a year. Every season appears with its own hue, beauty and charm and I have a special fascination for the rainy season.

The rainy season sets in the month of July and continues till the end of August. This season has a great impact on the life of the people of Bangladesh and the whole nature. The season appears after the sweltering and humid weather of the summer. The roars of thunder with flashes of lightnings followed by heavy precipitations are the special characteristics of this season. In the season sometimes it pours with rain and sometimes it drizzles. Rain refreshes the whole nature.

In this season our countryside takes on a spectacular look. Rivers, canals, ponds, marshes, etc. are filled to the brim. Sometimes, water overflows their banks and reaches the very edge of our homesteads. People move in boats. In this season there is a plentiful supply of fishes. Catching fish with nets and rods is a common sight in this season.

The clattering sound of rain on tin-roofs or the pitter-patter sound creates an air of romanticism. The dark clouds in the sky veil the sunlight. People love to stay at home and enjoy special delicacies. Enchanting flowers like Keya, Kadam, Hasna-hena, Jui and Togor bloom in this season and spread their sweet fragrance all around.

In this season, the urban life also becomes attractive. The dust and dirts are washed away. People enjoy the soothing temperature. But it is also true that the torrential rain creates sufferings and difficulties to the poor shelterless people. In spite of the disadvantages, the rainy season has so many charming advantages and so, I have a fascination for this season.

Question:

Write a composition on The Season You Like Most / Your Favourite Season

The season i like most/ my favourite season  .

There are six seasons in Bangladesh. I like all the seasons but I like spring most. Spring is my favourite season and perhaps it is favourite to all. Spring comes to us with many pleasant things and bautiful scenes and sounds.

I like this season for many reasons. The summer is a season of terrible heat. Everybody feels uneasy. During the rainy season the roads become muddy. There is water everywhere. People can not move easily. They face many difficulties. During the early autumn and late autumn these

disadvantages do not wholly disappear. Winter also brings troubles. People shiver in cold. There is dense fog everywhere. The sun is hardly seen. The poor suffer a lot. But spring has none of these disadvantages. It has many attractive scenes and pleasant things. So I like the season most.

After winter the spring season comes with her lovely appearance. Spring is called the queen of seasons. It comes with pleasant sights and sounds. Fields and meadows become green. Flowers bloom in different trees. Birds sing from behind the new leaves. We hear the cuckoo singing sweetly. There are village fairs on various occasions.

During spring bees are busy in gathering honey. A gentle breeze blows. Everything looks gay and cheerful. It is also a season of fruits. Mango, black-berry, jack fruit, lichies have buds on them. Farmers also sow the seeds of jute and paddy.

Spring is the best of all seasons for its attractive sounds and sights. Our poets have praised this season.

Essay on “The Season I Like Most” Complete Essay for Class 10, Class 12 and Graduation and other classes.

The season i like most, 3 best essays on “the season i like most”.

Essay No. 1

Seasons change with the change in nature. Summer, Rainy, Winter, and Spring are the seasons in our tropical continent. The summers are so hot that people eagerly wait for the monsoon. The rains bring relief. The winters are cold and many parts of northern India experience snowfall. The ‘queen of seasons’, Spring is also the ‘season of festivals’. Every season has its own characteristic features.

During the summer season, the intense heat and the scorching sun rays are cures. People prefer to stay indoors. Many areas face the problem of water scarcity. Almost every year during summers epidemic breaks out. But despite the various drawbacks of the summer season, it is the season I like most.

The end of the Spring is the beginning of summer. I welcome this change as it is a sign of fast-approaching summer vacations. These holidays are always awaited. They are a relief from the heavy book load, tedious study schedule of school difficult assignments, and brain raking examinations. Holidays mean no fixed routine and I can spend my time as I please.

Playing and splashing in the cool waters of the swimming pool in the company of my friends is what I enjoy most.

Many delicious fruits come only in this season. Watermelons, grapes, and the king of fruits-mangoes are my fond temptations. I love ice-cream. As there is little fear of cold and coughs  I eat plenty of it. Nothing can hold me back from cold coffee with ice-cream and ice-cream soda. Thanks to summers, I can fulfill all my desires in taste.

“ In fact, the summer season is the time when I can be my own self and I enjoy its every moment.

Essay No. 2

The Summer Season

Generally, we call two seasons in this world Summer and Winter. The Indian Summer is the hottest season in the whole year. The rays of the sun fall on cancel and make India very hot. Actually, India has six seasons. Summer is one of them. May and June are the months of summer. We have to heat to bear. The plains of India are hot while mountain areas are not so hot. We feel uneasy in this season. It becomes difficult to walk in the day. At mid-day, nobody lies to go out due to intense heat. Rich people make use of fans and coolers. The greater part of the day is wasted in laziness and rest.

Schools and College hours are changed during summer. Early morning hours are understood to be the best period to work. So all institutions work in the morning. Educational institutions are closed during summer vacation. Chiks and curtains are used in every house. Khuskhus curtains are kept wet during the day.

In summer we feel a scarcity of water. Small rivers, ponds, and tanks become dry. The level of water goes down. The grass becomes withered and dry. There becomes a problem of water – supply. In cities, water is supplied for a limited period. In the village, the condition is not very good. due to scarcity of water, the villages life become a curse. We need water for drinking purposes. In addition to it, animals suffer for water.

During summer beasts pant for breath due to heat. They seek shade and sit under it for rest. They do not like to wander in the burning heat. The birds hide in the branches of trees or holes of walls. The earth becomes hard and hot. It is so hot that one cannot walk barefooted. The wind is hot and dusty. We drink water again and again. We like cold water to drink.

The other side of the summer coin is fruitful. We get the best fruits in this season in our country. We get mangoes, watermelons, muskmelons, blackberry, mulberry, and sweet violet, etc. in addition to fruits, this season is the base of the Rainy Season, Monsoon Rainfall depends on the season. Both Monsoon Rain takes water from the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea. Besides it, early hours – from 4 to 10 are useful to cover the whole day’s work. Early morning is very pleasant and charming. It is quite a free-form heat of the day. We have a cool breeze in the early hours. We can enjoy the chirping of birds. the days are long. We sleep in the day to take a rest.

Rainy Season depends on the summer season. Rainy Season is the base of Indian Agriculture and other fields. Every coin has two sides so is the case with the summer season.

Essay No. 3

The Season You Like Most

Like most people, I wait for the rainy season most eagerly. Life is miserable during the summer season. There is a scarcity of water everywhere. Grasses, trees, and plants die due to the heat and lack of water Dry, hot winds blow the whole day. Many people die of thirst and heat-strokes. It is therefore not surprising that the clouds are a welcome sight. They bring with them the life-giving rain and coolness.

Rains are nectar from heaven. Vast deserts turn into fields of flowers and green grass. Trees soon give out new leaves and fruits. The crop in the fields starts swaying with the cool wind. Nature once again rejuvenates itself. It is because of its life-giving properties that rain is regarded as God in India.

The rainy season is undoubtedly the best season. Spring brings with it beauty, but rain sustains it. It is a fact that the beauty of most plants, flowers, and other living beings would vanish in the absence of rain. The rainy season is like a mother who nurses her children with precious food and nutrients.

The rainy season is not only useful but also beautiful. There is greenery all around Birds come out in large numbers to feed and to breed. Flowers bloom and so do other life forms. The black clouds look wonderful against the blue sky. We often come across a rainbow. If we are lucky we may come across a dancing peacock.

Poets and writers have discovered music in the falling raindrops. To them, big raindrops sound like a thousand drums. The thunder sounds like a bugle. Frogs, too sing in great joy. Although to many of us it may not sound so sweet like that of a cuckoo.

Rains clean the dirt accumulated by nature and mankind. It restocks the water bodies. Rains are indeed a blessing from the Almighty God.

English essay on “season i like most” complete essay, paragraph, speech for class 9, 10, 12 students, season i like most.

Every season has got its own specialty. In summer, it is too hot and in winter, it is shivering cold but I like most the spring season for its beauty which gives joy and pleasure. Even a stone heart can be melted by its beauty in this season.

It is said,” The spring is the queen of all. It provides enormous joy and happiness to everyone.” Barren and uncultivated grounds turn like a bride in a red garment. Trees shading brings for the new buds. Bees and butterflies dance and it is made pleasant by the song of the cuckoo. Pretty cold disappears and everywhere moderate climate is seen. Rivers look transparent where fishes dance and attract everyone. In such a beautiful scene all the people enjoy this season and so do I.

Seeing the beauty of spring, many great poets composed their poems in praise of the spring. Shakespeare, Milton, Johnson all described its beauty in their poems. It is the season of affection and love. It is a meeting place in the grass of the garden.

It is also said that this season is the best for getting marriage. It is the holy season too because Lord Ram’s incarnation was held in this season. The most precious puja for students also falls in this season.

Finally, this season is the symbol of joy, pleasure, happiness, beauty, and love and the whole nature looks beautiful and everyone likes this season very much.

Essay on My Favorite Season Spring

By: Haque , Words: 225, For class 6-7

There are six seasons in Bangladesh. One of them is the spring. The season which I like best is spring. It comes after the winter season. The spring months are, in fact, Falgun and Chitra. These two months are warm by day and cool at night.

The cuckoo heralds the advent of the spring. As days warm up, nature begins to river. Fresh grass grows and gives a green look to meadows and unploughed fields. Trees and plants put forth new leaves. Mango trees burst into blossom in this season and so do a number of other trees and bushes. They charm both the eyes and nose. They attract butterflies which add more color and charm. The air becomes heavy with their fragrance.

Spring is the most melodious of all the seasons. The cuckoo is of course, there with its, sweet song. Other birds, too feel a fresh pulse of life and look more lovely. They fly from branch to branch and from tree to tree in pairs and coo with liveliness.

Spring is a charming and refreshing season, but its pleasure is sometimes marred by this outbreak of some dreadful diseases like smallpox and cholera.

The spring is really the best season of all. The weather is favorable and nature is colorful. This season is not cold or hot. These are some reasons why I like spring most.

Essay on My Favorite Season Winter, The Season I Like Most

By: Haque , Words: 400, For class 11-12/HSC

Bangladesh is a darling child of nature. There are six seasons in this country. Each season has its own color and beauty. We welcome the seasons and enjoy their change and diversity.

The six seasons, like in Bangladesh, are not felt so intensely anywhere else in the world. The six seasons of Bangladesh are Summer, Monsoon, Autumn, Hemanta, Winter, and Spring. Of all the seasons I like the winter most. It comes after the late autumn.

The late autumn or the Hemanta is followed by the winter. The Bengali months Poush and Maagh comprise the winter. It comes wearing a coat of cold. It is a season of fog and mists. This is also the season of freshness.

Winter comes with a lot of fog and mists with her. The winter mornings are full of mists. In the morning dew-drops fall on the grass and look like glittering pearls. The rays of the sun fall on the dew-drops and create a beautiful sight. The sky is clear and blue. Children and old men bask in the Sun. In the winter season, cold wind blows off and on and men cannot even dare to go out of doors.

Winter is the season of plenty of crops, vegetables, and many other kinds of nutritious foods are available in this season. Cabbages, cauliflowers, tomatoes, and potatoes are found in large quantities. Oranges are cheap in this season. In the villages, date juice is collected from date trees. Children take date juice with great joy.

Winter is comfortable in Bangladesh. In this season people prepare different kinds of cakes and we eat them to our heart’s content.

Students of various institutions and other people also go out for a picnic mostly in this season. Above all, winter is the season of enjoyment and pleasure.

The season of winter is not free from its demerits. In this season, trees become bare of leaves. They lose their beauty owing to the bitter cold, men suffer a lot. It is a terror to the poor. They do not buy warm clothes to put on. Some persons even die in severe cold. In winter, nature looks dead and gloomy.

In spite of having some demerits, we cannot neglect this season. This creates an ever-lasting impression on our minds. After all, it heralds the advent of spring.

Essay on My Favorite Season Rainy Days, 300 Words

By: Haque , For class 9-10/SSC, 16-01-’22

Introduction: Bangladesh is a country of six seasons. The rainy season is the second season in this country. The monsoon season consists of the months ‘Ashar’ and ‘Shravan’ in the Bengali calendar. However, sometimes the rainy season starts a little earlier and lasts longer. Of the six seasons in Bangladesh, the rainy season is my favorite season.

Reason: Monsoon comes due to monsoon. The wind that blows over Bangladesh from the Bay of Bengal brings a lot of clouds. That is why it rains heavily here and the rainy season begins.

Description: The sky is cloudy during the rainy season. Sometimes so many clouds float in the sky that the sun cannot be seen all day long. It is raining heavily at this time. Even sometimes it rains continuously for several days. Then the roads became muddy. Rivers, canals, and ponds overflow. The fields go underwater.

Advantages, Merits, Importance: Monsoon is definitely a blessing for our country. Because Bangladesh is an agricultural country. Most of the crops in this country are dependent on rainwater. Rainwater makes the soil fertile. In addition, rainwater washes away all the dirt from the earth’s surface. It also purifies the atmosphere. The people of the village can then easily go from one place to another by boat.

Trouble, Demerits: But the rainy season is not always a blessing for all of us. As a result of rain, the roads become muddy and slippery. The poor day laborers suffer in this. They can’t go to work. Due to the inundation of grassland, there is a food crisis for cattle. Besides, it spreads various diseases like cholera, typhoid, etc. Floods damage our crops and submerge many homes.

Conclusion: Despite these detrimental aspects of the monsoon season, it enriches our country’s production and economy. It gives a new life to nature. So, we always welcome the rainy season and enjoy its beauty.

A Rainy Day Paragraph

My Favorite Season Paragraph, 100 Words

By: Haque , For class 4-5/PSC, 13-01-’22

My favorite season is spring. It is the queen of seasons. Spring is a calm and beautiful season. This season is not as hot as summer, not as rainy as monsoon, not as cold as winter. Flowers bloom in spring. The heads of Shimul and Krishnacura turn red with the abundance of flowers. The mango forest is filled with the fragrance of buds. Cuckoos sing, butterflies fly. In the spring I go for a picnic with a group of my friends . The weather in spring is very friendly. That’s why it’s the best of the six seasons. This is the reason why spring is my favorite season.

A Paragraph on My Favorite Season Monsoon, 100 Words

I confess that by nature I am somewhat lazy. So, the rainy season is my most favorite season; carried on the wings of imagination in this season, I roam in the realm (kingdom) of fancy, in the dreamland as patter—patter the downpour goes on outside. In this season Tagore’s dulcet sweet tunes on monsoon—its invocation, adoration, and valediction (farewell)—are most pleasing to hear. As a matter of fact, there is a sort of affinity (kinship) between the rainy season and Bengali temperament. So, the monsoon is the special favorite of Bengalees in general and my humble self in particular.

More from this Exercise

The season you like mostIn India we have four seasons–summer rainy winter and spring. Each season has some special features. In summer the days and nights are very hot. In the rainy season. we get abundant rainfall. The winter is the season of cold. Each season is good in itself.Different people like different season. Everybody has his own likes and dislikes. Of all the seasons I like the winter season most. There are various reason for it. In winter we get vegetables and fruits in plenty. These are comparatively cheap in this season. We can work hard in this season. Our body does not sweat. We are not easily tired. We can digest our food easily. We put on warm clothes. The sunshine is very pleasant in the morning and afternoon in this season. We find this season the most convenient time for holding picnic in the open air. Other seasons have their usefulness but I think winter gives us greater comfort and pleasure.

Describe Your Favourite Season [IELTS Speaking Part 2]

Here in China, the weather just turned very hot! Where I live, there is practically no spring. One day it is winter and the next is summer! Last week I needed to use my heating and this week it is almost time for air conditioning. It got me wondering about this IELTS speaking part 2 cue card: Describe your favourite season. (Or, to use the American spelling, Describe your favorite season.)

Months and Seasons

In English, we have a slightly more complicated system of months than other languages. In some countries, it is very easy to learn the months – they just go “first month,” “second month,” “third month,” and so on. However, in English all our months have unique names with old origins . Unfortunately, you need to learn them all and be able to name them without too much hesitation.

the season you like most essay in 150 words

  • Autumn (or Fall, as it’s called in America)

So that’s only four words to remember – or five, if you remember the American term too.

Of course, the seasons will fall into different months depending on where you are in the world. Where I grew up, winter lasted from November to February. Spring was from March to May. Summer lasted from June to August. And autumn arrived in September and lasted through October. As the topic of seasons may come up in the IELTS exam, you should be able to state this basic information quite readily for your country.

Note: Remember that some places also have hot seasons, rainy seasons, and dry seasons!

Describing Climate

The seasons bring with them different sorts of weather. Another way to say weather is climate . As you may be asked about seasons or climate, you should be able to talk about both. At the most basic level, you should know the different kinds of weather:

  • sun (sunny)
  • rain (rainy)
  • wind (windy)

These, of course, would only get you a quite low IELTS score. Instead, you should aim for a flexible and advanced grasp of language for describing seasons and climate. You should try upgrading your language for variety and specificity.

Hot weather could be described as:

and cold weather as:

You could be more precise and talk about the temperature:

  • It rarely gets about fifteen degrees Celsius.
  • In summer, it can reach forty-five degrees Celsius!

You could also mention factors like humidity, precipitation, aridity, or wind chill. All this builds up to a more interesting and accurate description of the climate. You can actually find some great examples of this by looking on Wikipedia for places to describe. Here’s a link to my hometown. It contains some great language for describing climate!

the season you like most essay in 150 words

The Effects of Weather

This is something that’s a bit overlooked but nonetheless very important in describing weather. Think of it this way: How does weather make you feel? Go beyond the basics – happy or sad or uncomfortable – and think about its physical and mental effects. Let’s look at some descriptions of how weather affects people:

  • My teeth are chattering. (very cold)
  • I’m drenched. (very wet)
  • I’m sweating like crazy. (very hot)
  • I’m soaked right through. (very wet)
  • I’m frozen to the bone. (very cold)

In the IELTS, when asked about weather, there’s a good chance it will be a personal question and so you should be able to talk about your reaction to the weather. Think about how it made you feel and then describe that sensation.

Moreover, what about your habits? Do you stay indoors on rainy days? Do you go out in temperate weather? Do you prefer hot or cold weather? How do these affect what you do in daily life?

Here’s a possible IELTS part 2 question about seasons:

Describe your favourite season. You should say: what the season is and when it occurs what the weather is like during this season what your typical activities are during this season and explain why it is your favourite season.

In analyzing this question, you need to think about what vocabulary to use and also how long you can reasonably talk about each part of the question. I think this is actually a quite difficult question because there isn’t that much to talk about. You could easily mention the month and weather in just ten or twenty seconds, and then have to talk about your activities and reasons why you like it for another minute. So think of anything extra you’d like to add.

You don’t want to stray off topic, so anything extra you might say should be related to the material above. You could talk about the effects of the weather on yourself or others, or anything related to those activities and the season. You may want to also mention any interesting facts or ideas about the season you choose.

Making notes

Remember that making notes is vital to success in the IELTS speaking part 2. You can’t write down too much because you only have one minute to prepare. So you should just note down some important vocabulary and structural ideas. Note down phrases that could help you to speak for longer – ie keywords to spark your memory. Practice this at home often and remember to time yourself with a watch or your phone.

the season you like most essay in 150 words

Your notes might look like this:

  • spring = march, april
  • mild weather, rising temps (range=15-25c)
  • flowers in bloom
  • activities possible (ie hiking)

That’s all you really need. As long as you have important vocabulary and ideas to spark your imagination, you are all set!

Sample Answer

Here’s my sample answer to the question.

My favourite season is spring. Where I grew up, spring usually falls in the months of March and April, although depending on the year it may begin or end earlier or later. It is a brief season, but it is a pleasant one. People tend to be in a good mood during this time of year because it has a pleasant climate, with mild weather. After a long, cold winter, the warm spring temperatures are a welcome change. They rise to a range of between fifteen and twenty-five degrees Celsius, which I think is much more pleasant than the freezing winter or sweltering summer. In the springtime, I do many things that are impossible in winter and uncomfortable in summer. I like to go outside and do activities like hiking and rock climbing. The spring weather is perfect for this because the high humidity has not yet set in. It’s also really pretty in spring because the flowers are in bloom and the animals are giving birth so there is a sense of colour and life in the hills. Moreover, spring in my country is pretty dry and so you don’t have to worry too much about carrying an umbrella. People do a lot sports outdoors at this time of year, and I find it’s the time when I get the most exercises too. This is probably why I like spring the most. It’s just an all-round pleasant time of year when you can do what you want without worrying about harsh weather conditions.

Here’s a video of me reading the above sample answer. 🙂 Please give it a like and subscribe to the channel!

Essay on Season I Like Most: For All Students

Essay on Season my Favorite season

Season I Like Most Essay-1

TOPIC- [The season,  Its characteristics, Why I like it.]

Essay on Season I Like Most – In Bangladesh there are six seasons. Each of these seasons stands out with its own characteristics and appeals. But as a matter of fact, everybody chooses from among them only one as the most favovrite to him or her. Likewise, there is one season I like most—the Rainy season. My liking may differ from others’ in this regard, but I have specific explanations to justify it.

The months of the Ashar and the Sraban consist of the rainy season. But the reality is that this season spreads itself through the month of Aswin-including about four months in all. This season is characterized by continual rainfalls. During this season the flora and the fauna of an area that were previously unbearably tormented by the scorching heat of the summer gets new life and youth. New lively buds come forth out of dried seeds; the dried and thirsty throats of men and animals get the blessed touch of the thirst-quenching heavenly water. The sky is almost always cloudy, looking pregnant with heavenly blessings. The cracked soil comes back to life with firm commitment to grow more trees and crops. There is life everywhere. Nature, clad in green trees shrubs and herbs all around, devotes herself to her own prayer. Rivers, ponds, and canals, excited by the fulsome presence of boutifulness, leap out of themselves to overwhelm the earth. Everywhere the presence of serenity cleanliness and chastity is seen in nature. In a word, everything seems to be reborn.

I like this season most for a number of reasons. Firstly, this season brings life to us, to the whole nature. But for its mercy, nature would have to dry up and die; men and animals would have to starve and die of thirst; nature would turn into a lifeless desert, devoid of all her beauty and charm. But fortunately, the rainy season revives everything, redecorates nature’s withered face with countless deep-green leaves and wildflowers. Secondly, this season is the only season which makes the dirty world clean and holy by washing away filths and dirts. The environment is rendered superbly hygienic. The atmosphere is endowed with a tonic effect. And healthiness being a part of and pre-condition to beauty, the goddess of beauty touches everything around with her magic beauty-wand. As a result, an affluence of beauty is seen all around. Thirdly, the rainy season makes me feel, think, and imagine, when I remain sitting on my chair in the narrow balcony, and the rains fall incessantly causing a rythtmic sound, overwhelming the conscious layer of the mind and leading it into the sub-conscious, I have the rarest opportunity of feeling the past and the present at the same time. Then I feel like seeing life in its numerous uniappened alternatives. I leave myself in the hands of wayward imagination. I become care-free, can feel the inner truth and beauty of life in its perfect form. I feel the thirst of the flesh, the religion of the blood and the bones. I happen to think of love-the only goal of life. A romantic inner atmosphere energizes me from within. Temporary flashes of unmaneuvred images swing before my eyes—those images are formed of what I have always desired and loved most. They can be felt, smelt, and seen. Time halts for a moment, as it were. Then it seems that the entire values of life are to be found in such short but sef-sufficient moments.

Don’t Forget to Check: Essay in English

Much can be said about this benefit of the rainy season, and yet little will be expressed. This season makes, me a poet, if for the time being. And this, in my opinion, is why I like it most. The thought-arousing capability of this very season has created great poets like Kalidash, Biddapoti, Rabindranath and many others. Truth to tell, it besmears almost everyone’s heart with a soothing balm of pleasure which, with its temporary sparks of creativity, makes his/her heart wide and tender. Keeping this aspect of the capabilities of the season, it can be said that it brings life not only to nature and bodies of human beings and animals, but also to people’s minds. It quenches the thirst of the body and increases that of the mind.

There is another reason why I like the rainy season most. Here I refer to the opportunities of journeying by boats. A journey by boat in the rainy season along a river or ‘ beel ‘ or canal is far more interesting than in any other season. Such a journey can give one the opportunity to enjoy the real beauty of Natı re. And perhaps everyone will believe the notion that to know one’s country best one should first feel and enjoy the natural beauty of the country, whereby one can truly love one’s country.

I must say that I like other seasons more or less. And what is more, I also dislike some aspects of the rainy season. But its merits and capabilities attract my liking more than those of any other season. And that is why I like the season most.

Season I Like Most Essay-2

(Introduction, My favorite season, Description, Disadvantages, Conclusion)

Essay on Season I Like Most – Winter is one of the six seasons in Bangladesh. It comes after the late autumn. It begins from the middle of November and lasts up to the middle of February. It covers the two Bengali months- Poush and Magh. In winter, the days are short and the nights are long.

To me, winter is the best of all seasons in the year. There are various reasons why I like winter best.

In winter, we get various kinds of vegetables and fruits in plenty. To speak the truth, these are comparatively cheap in this season. The vegetables that are grown and supplied in plenty are the beans, tomatoes, cauliflowers, cabbages, turnips, potatoes brinjals, radishes etc. They add to the variety of our taste and palate. During winter fishes too are available in plenty. Home-made cakes, date-juice, fried rice etc. add to the enjoyment of a winter morning in our villages. The molasses made of date juice, the most palatable Bengalee food is available in plenty. Orange, one of the desirable fruits found in this season is cheap. Various types of flower such as marigold, sunflower etc. bloom. We can work hard. Our body does not sweat. We are not easily tired. We can digest all types of food better this season. There are crystal-like dew drops on the grass which look very beautiful. The roads & streets even open meadows are not visible in the morning due to mist and fog in this season. A warm bed at night in winter gives us great pleasure and comfort. We wear warm clothes and feel comfortable when going out. Winter is a dry season. We can move about freely. The roads are dry. It is free and easy to walk along the dry roads. The sunshine is very pleasant in the morning and afternoon this season. We find this season in the most appropriate time for holding picnics in the open air. We can play many outdoor games such a cricket, badminton, tennis etc. this season. The rain can not mar our joy and pleasure. Moreover, epidemic diseases do not break out in a serious form in this season.

It is a painful season for the poor who can not manage warm items of clothing. Vagabonds and destitute suffer greatly from cold. Nature looks dull and gloomy. Leaves of trees fall off. Most of the birds migrate from here to there.

In the end, we can say that other seasons have their usefulness. But think that winter gives us greater comfort and pleasure. So I like it best.

Season I Like Most Essay-3

Introduction: Bangladesh, the darling child of nature, is supposed to have six seasons– Summer, Rains, Early Autumn, Late Autumn, Winter, and Spring. Let me first narrate the good and bad sides of the seasons clearly. Each season has its features, advantages and disadvantages. Despite these, I like summer — the first season of the year. This may seem strange to all but it is a fact for me.

Characteristics of summer: Summer is the first season. It is not an unmixed blessing. The sun in this season grows intensely hot that becomes unbearable. People feel easily tired of it in summer. What with the hut, the sweat, the dust and the flies at times, it is positively maddening. General health usually remains good. The suffering and humid heat at noon are usually compensated by the refreshing air that blows at evening. There is thundershower that brings the temperature down and gives pleasant respect.

Why dear to me: Summer, the intolerable heated season, makes itself dear to me by compensating highly. Mango, the first fruit, is available. There is a joy of a football game. When sea-breeze blows. I feel refreshed. I go out with my ball and play with my friends. It cools the body and soothes the mind. The sweetness of ice-cream, cold drink, and cool edible things are so delicious that it cannot be desirable. I can sleep under an electric fan, tree and open sky at night. Schools and colleges remain closed in this season. As a student, I can find myself in a very happy mood. I can enjoy the long vacation and find a scope of spending time in gossiping. I can find time to swim in the river. I can learn seriously the havoc caused by malaria in this season. It gives me an opportunity to serve sick people.

Features: The day this season is longer. There remains a long time to play various games. Parents do not create pressure for studies as schools remain closed. Sometimes, it rains heavily. We can bathe in the rainwater. When the fields go under water, fishes of different spices are available. It is also interesting to catch fish in the rain. Various types of fruits ripen in this season. We can have their fastest. When the heat of the sun becomes scorching /unbearable; even the naughty boys do not run in the sun. They become self-controlled for fear of being attacked with cholera — a deadly disease that breaks out in this season in an epidemic form. The moonlit night of this season has a special attraction. Children can listen to tales told by their grandmothers sitting around them. They get themselves cold enjoying the air and a gentle breeze blowing from the south.

Its influence: This season has some influences. So I don’t deny that the heavy rains that make the green fields greener against the background of an overcast sky have a greater charm for a poetic mind. Many poets have composed poems on the season and have depicted its features to our knowledge. The passing of the wild beasts through the dried leaves makes us charmed with a rustling sound. Then the silence of nature disappears. The cry of the jackals in the bush is very dear to hear.

Men and animals: People wear short shirts and thin clothes this season. They use umbrellas overhead when they go out in the sun. Children go to school in the same manner. Many times, sweat comes out. Then they mop it with handkerchiefs or pieces of clothes of extra-nature. This scenery is very charming. Buffaloes in a herd go into the river and remain there for long until or unless they become cold. This scenery inspires me to know how they lead their life on earth.

Merits: All classes of people may have either more or less experienced this season. They find many natural gifts available.

Demerits: The summer comes with scorching heat. People suffer from various diseases. Poisonous snakes are seen here and there like the rainy season. People do not find any taste and interests of food or any other edible things.

Conclusion: Despite all its demerits, I like summer most out of my own reason and justification. On the other hand, it is not called the king of all seasons. Its breezes is a very refreshing experience.

During winters, schools usually take a break and close down. The days are shorter and the nights get longer. The chilly mornings give you a different sense altogether. Hot drinks like coffee, tea, and hot chocolate are enjoyed more during winters. The sun rises quite late and sometimes it does not.

Even when it does, it doesn’t get a bit hot. People long for a little sunshine as the cold weather sends chills down the spine. You see people on the roads burning woods and paper to get a little warmth. However, not many people prefer going out in winters. They like sitting by the fireplace or heater all day.

In the hilly areas, people experience snow during winters. They have to shovel it out of the way to make way for walking. The essence of winters is enhanced by Christmas as well. It sets the holiday mood for people and is admired all over the world.

But, there is also a downside of this season. The farmers, homeless people, and animals are most affected by this season. There is hardly any business in this season for farmers. Hundreds of homeless people die due to the harsh winters.

As the animals do not have proper shelter, they too lose their lives. In addition, many flights are also canceled during this season. Nonetheless, this does not make winter any less important. It is quite essential to maintain balance in the weather of our country.
