Publication Frequency
EJEE is published regularly by the IIETA, with six regular issues (excluding special issues) and one volume per year.
Peer Review Statement
IIETA adopts a double-blind review process. Once submitted, a paper dealing with suitable topics will be sent to the editor-in-chief and/or associate editor, and then be reviewed by at least two experts in the relevant field. The reviewers are either members of our editorial board or special external experts invited by the journal. In light of the reviewers’ comments, the editor-in-chief and/or associate editor will make the final decision over the publication, and the editor-in-chief and/or associate editor return the decision to the author.
There are four possible decisions concerning the paper: acceptance, minor revision, major revision, and rejection. Acceptance means the paper will be published directly without any revision. Minor revision means the author should make minor changes to the manuscript according to reviewers’ comments and submit the revised version to IIETA. The revised version will be accepted or rejected at the discretion of the editor-in-chief and/or associate editor. Major revision means that the author should modify the manuscript significantly according to reviewers’ comments and submit the revised version to IIETA. The revised version will be accepted or rejected at the discretion of the editor-in-chief and/or associate editor. Rejection means the submitted paper will not be published.
If a paper is accepted, the editor-in-chief and/or associate editor will send an acceptance letter to the author and ask the author to prepare the paper in MS Word using the template of IIETA.
Plagiarism Policy
Plagiarism is committed when one author uses another work without permission, credit, or acknowledgement. Plagiarism takes different forms, from literal copying to paraphrasing the work of another. IIETA uses CrossRef to screen for unoriginal material. Authors submitting to an IIETA journal should be aware that their paper may be submitted to CrossRef at any point during the peer-review or production process. Any allegations of plagiarism made to a journal will be investigated by the editor-in-chief or managing editor. If the allegations appear to be founded, we will request all named authors of the paper to explain of the overlapping material. If the explanation is not satisfactory, we will reject the submission, and may also reject future submissions.
For instructions on citing any of IIETA’s journals as well as our Ethics Statement , see Policies and Standards .

Electrical engineers design the most sophisticated systems ever built. From computers with billions of transistors to microgrids fed by renewable energy sources, from algorithms that predict disease to solar cells and electric vehicles, electrical engineering touches all parts of modern society. We leverage computational, theoretical, and experimental tools to develop groundbreaking sensors and energy transducers, new physical substrates for computation, and the systems that address the shared challenges facing humanity.
Our research is interdisciplinary by nature, and has far-reaching effects on almost every field of human activity, including energy and climate, human health, communications and computation, finance and music. We make the future.
Research areas
Our research covers a wide range of topics of this fast-evolving field, advancing how machines learn, predict, and control, while also making them secure, robust and trustworthy. Research covers both the theory and applications of ML. This broad area studies ML theory (algorithms, optimization, …), statistical learning (inference, graphical models, causal analysis, …), deep learning, reinforcement learning, symbolic reasoning ML systems, as well as diverse hardware implementations of ML.
We develop the technology and systems that will transform the future of biology and healthcare. Specific areas include biomedical sensors and electronics, nano- and micro-technologies, imaging, and computational modeling of disease.
We develop the next generation of wired and wireless communications systems, from new physical principles (e.g., light, terahertz waves) to coding and information theory, and everything in between.
We design the next generation of computer systems. Working at the intersection of hardware and software, our research studies how to best implement computation in the physical world. We design processors that are faster, more efficient, easier to program, and secure. Our research covers systems of all scales, from tiny Internet-of-Things devices with ultra-low-power consumption to high-performance servers and datacenters that power planet-scale online services. We design both general-purpose processors and accelerators that are specialized to particular application domains, like machine learning and storage. We also design Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools to facilitate the development of such systems.
We bring some of the most powerful tools in computation to bear on design problems, including modeling, simulation, processing and fabrication.
Educational technology combines both hardware and software to enact global change, making education accessible in unprecedented ways to new audiences. We develop the technology that makes better understanding possible.
Our research spans a wide range of materials that form the next generation of devices, and includes groundbreaking research on graphene & 2D materials, quantum computing, MEMS & NEMS, and new substrates for computation.

Electrical engineering is a field of engineering that generally deals with the study and application of electricity, electronics and electromagnetism. Many companies and industry experts has been releasing technical books and guides in order to spread their knowledge, so they are all here, presented for you.
Introduction to energy generation
Prior to the discovery of Faraday’s Laws of electromagnetic discussion, electrical power was available from batteries with limited voltage and current levels. Although complicated in construction, D.C. generators were developed first to generate power in bulk .
However, due to limitation of the D.C. machine to generate voltage beyond few hundred volts, it was not economical to transmit large amount of power over a long distance. For a given amount of power, the current magnitude (I = P/V), hence section of the copper conductor will be large.
In later half of eighties, in nineteenth century, it was proposed to have a power system with 3-phase, 50 Hz A.C generation, transmission and distribution networks.
Once A.C. system was adopted, transmission of large power (MW) at higher transmission voltage become a reality by using transformers. Level of voltage could be changed virtually to any other desired level with transformers – which was hitherto impossible with D.C system.

Thanks for having such informative website.I am looking for quite long about Electricity metering sp[specifically define kwh meter, var and var hour meter and smart meter.
If their is any book regarding metering please send me on [email protected]
Please clear my confusion. While calculating load currents for sizing the cables, which P.F.should be used?? Old or new after compensation..? and also i heard that reduced cable size depends on the type of compensation.i.e. global, sector or individual…please explain.
If you are talking about XLPE cables, then the power factor to be selected as per the load type. If it is residential, then you can go to 0.8 or below ; if it is commercial/ industrial you have to go to 0.9 or unity (If full motor/ pump loads). You can select/ alter the PF as per the local authority approvals only.
For Fire pumps, large motors & AC units(with motor) always consider starting current as 1.5 times the normal load as standard to size the MCCB/ Isolator rating & then select the cable size accordingly.
regards, Abhiram Ajay Dubai

Hello Engineering Portal Team. Congratulations for this wonderful site. I have found exactly what I needed. Sory I can not donate at this moment, But this Engineering portal really deserve a donation just as many other wonderful sites on the WEB. please dont give up our portal. Keep on. Great Thanks to you all.
I want to know about the current and voltage role in human body killing (death and electric shuck). I studied many articless/books about it but some are saying current kill people while some are stating voltage. In my opinion it is frequency as in our country frequency is 50Hz and voltage is 220 P-P. It usually kill people while electrocuted. In the country I am working the frequency is 60Hz and the voltage is same 220 P-P and I did not hear that some one electrocuted and died.
As we go down in reducing frequency the system is going to DC nature which is more danger than AC.
Please explain so that I can make clear my concept.
