250 Words Essay on My Dream Vacation

Introduction to my dream vacation.

Everyone loves to take a break from their daily routine, and I am no different. My dream vacation is a trip to Japan, a land with a beautiful mix of old traditions and new technology. I imagine spending two weeks there, exploring everything from the quiet countryside to the bustling city streets.

Exploring the Cities

First, I would visit Tokyo, the capital city. Tokyo is known for its amazing sights like the Tokyo Tower and the busy Shibuya Crossing. I would love to see the city lights at night and taste the local food like sushi and ramen from the street vendors. Walking through the city, I would see tall buildings and many different shops.

Enjoying Nature

After the city, I would like to see the countryside. Japan has beautiful mountains, like Mount Fuji, and I would enjoy seeing the cherry blossoms in the spring. The peaceful gardens and quiet temples would be a nice change from the noisy city. I could also visit the hot springs to relax.

Learning About Culture

Japanese culture is very interesting to me. I would visit museums to learn about samurai and ninjas. I would also like to see a traditional tea ceremony and maybe try on a kimono, which is a Japanese dress.

My dream vacation to Japan would be a mix of city excitement and country peace. It would be a chance to see new things, eat new foods, and learn about a different culture. This trip would be an adventure that I would remember for my whole life.

500 Words Essay on My Dream Vacation

Everyone loves a good vacation. It is a time to relax, enjoy, and see new places. My dream vacation is no different. I dream of a trip that is full of fun, learning, and adventure. In this essay, I will share what my dream vacation looks like.

The Perfect Destination

The perfect place for my dream vacation is Japan. Japan is a country with beautiful mountains, bustling cities, and amazing culture. I have always wanted to see the cherry blossoms in bloom, try sushi from where it started, and ride on the super-fast bullet trains.

On my dream vacation, I plan to do lots of fun things. First, I want to visit Tokyo Disneyland. It’s a magical place where I can meet my favorite characters and ride exciting rides. Then, I want to climb Mount Fuji. It is a big mountain, and from the top, I can see a great view. Lastly, I wish to attend a traditional tea ceremony. It is a special way to learn about Japanese culture.

Learning New Things

Vacations are not just for fun; they are also for learning. In Japan, I can learn many new things. I can visit museums to learn about history and science. I can go to a language school to learn some Japanese words. I can even learn how to make sushi!

Making Friends

One of the best parts of going on vacation is making new friends. In Japan, I hope to meet many people. I can talk with local kids, make friends, and play games. This way, I can learn about their lives and share stories about mine.

Japan is also known for its beautiful nature. I want to see the cherry blossoms, which are pink and white flowers that look like a dream. I also want to visit the beaches and maybe even see a snow monkey. Nature is important, and on my dream vacation, I want to enjoy it a lot.

Trying Delicious Food

Food is a big part of any vacation. In Japan, there are so many tasty things to try. I want to eat sushi, noodles, and try matcha ice cream. Food helps us understand a place better, and I want to try as many Japanese foods as I can.

In conclusion, my dream vacation is a trip to Japan where I can have fun, learn, make friends, enjoy nature, and eat delicious food. It is a place where I can experience new things and create memories that will last forever. I hope one day I can turn this dream into a reality and have the best vacation ever.

Tips for Writing a "What I Did on Vacation" Essay

  • M.Ed., Education Administration, University of Georgia
  • B.A., History, Armstrong State University

Are you required to write an essay about your summer vacation or your holiday break? This can be a tough assignment to tackle at first glance. But if you think about it, there are lots of interesting things that happen on your vacation that others might enjoy reading about. The key to success is to zero in on the experiences, people, or situations that made your vacation unique.

Summer vacation can be busy or lazy, funny or serious. You may have traveled with your family, worked every day, fallen in love, or coped with a difficult situation. To start your essay, you'll need to choose a topic and tone.

Family Vacation Essay Topic Ideas

If you traveled with your family, you may have some great stories to tell. After all, every family is crazy in its own way. Want some proof? How many Hollywood films have themes about family holidays or trips? Those films are popular because they enable us to glimpse inside the crazy family lives of others. Alternatively, you may have a more serious story to tell.

Consider these funny topics:

  • Why I'll Never Go Back to (insert place name)
  • How (insert name) Drove Me Crazy in Five Days
  • Traveling to (insert city) Then and Now
  • The Hazards of Traveling With a (person or thing)
  • Why You Shouldn't Take a Dog to (insert place)
  • I Left (insert city) But My (lost item) Stayed
  • Why I Couldn't Sleep in (place name)

If your family vacation involved something more serious, think about one of these topics:

  • The Love I Left Behind in (insert place)
  • Saying Good-Bye to (insert person or place)
  • Exploring (place's) Secrets
  • An Emotional Trip

Summer Job Essay Topic Ideas

Not everyone gets to spend the summer having fun; some of us have to work for a living. If you spent your summer at a job, chances are you met a lot of interesting characters, dealt with complicated situations, or even saved the day once or twice. Here are some ideas for summer job topics:

  • The Boss's Day Off
  • The Customer From Hell
  • What I Learned from My Customers
  • Why I'll Never Go Into the ___ Business
  • Six Things I Learned on the Job

How to Write the Essay

Once you've chosen your topic and your tone, think about the story you want to tell. In most cases, your essay will follow a typical story arc:

  • The hook (the funny, sad, or scary sentence that grabs the reader's attention)
  • The rising action (the beginning of your story)
  • The climax (the most exciting moment in your story)
  • The denouement (the aftermath or ending to your story)

Start by writing out the basic outline of your story. For example, "I started cleaning a guest's room and found that they'd left behind a wallet with $100 in cash. When I turned it in without taking a single dollar for myself, my boss rewarded me with a $100 gift certificate and a special award for honesty."

Next, start fleshing out the details. What was the room like? What was the guest like? What did the wallet look like and where was it left? Were you tempted to just take the money and turn in the wallet empty? How did your boss look when you handed her the wallet? How did you feel when you got your reward? How did others around you react to your honesty?

Once you've told your story in all its detail, it's time to write the hook and conclusion. What question or thought can you use to grab your reader's attention? For example: "What would you do if you found a wallet loaded with cash? That was my dilemma this summer."

Narrative Essay Example: My Perfect Vacation

It was a bright June afternoon and I had finished packing my bags for a vacation with my friends in Seaside, California. This was the second time I went on a vacation with my friends without any parental supervision. The first vacation we went on was an average trip down to Disneyland. This time around, I knew we would be visiting certain places in Monterey County, but I did not know what to expect as I had never visited this area before. However, the pleasing views that Seaside had to offer helped create the perfect vacation for me.

Upon arriving at Seaside, our first stop was at the Airbnb we had rented. The 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom, and beautiful ocean view deck home was the ideal resting place for my friends and I. It gave a homely feel to all of us, which was exactly what we needed if we wanted to unwind at this house.

After settling into the Airbnb, we stayed there until the night, and then decided to go on a quick trip down to Cannery Row, a waterfront street down in New Monterey. When we parked down at a local Denny’s in order to avoid paying for parking, we walked up north towards Cannery Row. This walk through Cannery Row at night had me at a loss for words. The beautiful lights, the people walking by us or eating at the outside diners, was such a beautiful view to witness. The old cannery buildings were so modern and tall, some of them even looked like a random barnhouse in the middle of the streets. We even walked all the way past the Row and into the San Carlos Beach, where we watched the ocean meet across the sand. We watched this go back and forth for multiple minutes. Although the sand looked spotted and grimy, I was completely ignoring that fact due to the peaceful sound of the ocean. After that, we decided that it was getting late and went back to the house. This short trip at Cannery Row was the perfect first stop for this trip because it had told me to open my eyes and pay attention to the appealing areas that Seaside had to offer.

The following day, my friends and I decided to go on a trip down to Carmel Beach. On the car ride there, I remember looking out of my friend’s truck and seeing hundreds and hundreds of tall trees on the side of the road. These trees made us feel like we were in the middle of nowhere, although we were driving in an extremely crowded expressway. This view was so peculiar, but it still was so gorgeous because of how well the nature blended in with the busy streets. I also remember Love Yourz, an extremely meaningful song that tells the listeners to appreciate their life by J.Cole, was being played in my friend's truck while we were driving through this expressway. This song playing in the background while driving through the busy expressways in Seaside was another perfect mix, as it now created a nostalgic and sentimental tone while we were driving to Carmel Beach.

Once we arrived at Carmel Beach, we took our bags and headed towards the sand. Now in my life, I have only been to a beach a couple of times. This lack of experience did make me feel uneasy with this beach at first. I remember being extremely uncomfortable with the feeling of the sand while walking on it with my slippers on. The sand felt stiff and harsh with my slippers. After seeing my discomfort, my friend then suggested that I should just go barefoot if I wanted to be more comfortable with the sand. Now this may sound obvious to people who have been in the sand, but because I had rarely been to a beach I did not understand this. After taking the slippers off, I felt loose. I was able to run in the sand and fell in love with the feeling of the sand in between my toes. Once I had been completely adjusted with the beach, I decided to take a minute and deeply look into the beach. I distinguished the light beige sand with the sky blue water. This scenery looked like the beaches in the Bahamas. The time I took to really examine the beach made me appreciate Carmel Beach even more, because I realized that the sights I was seeing throughout this vacation were completely different from what I had been used to.

The day after our beach trip would be our last full day in Seaside, and we spent it by going to the Point Lobos State National Reserve, a nature sightseeing reserve. This reserve would turn out to be a very beautiful nature experience. First off, each view was so different, it was as if one spot on the reserve would represent a different place in the world. We would see seals on one place, whales on another, and many different birds on multiple reserves. We would be taking multiple pictures at each reserve because there each reserve would display something completely different from the others. Additionally, aside from the mesmerizing observations we had seen, there were so many trails to walk through. The trails were long-lasting, and would have parts where you may have had to climb on top of rocks in order to get the best views. It was like we were being rewarded for completing these lengthy trails. That definitely made the reserve such a bizarre adventure, but I would not go back and change this moment, since I really did adore this experience.

When my friends and I had returned from the reserve, we decided to reflect on the vacation we just had. We discussed how each place we had visited gave us such enriching viewpoints. We all saw each spot we visited in different ways, but still thought very highly of the Each place we explored felt so perfect, and this led to us coming to a conclusion that this vacation truly was flawless. We came to a realization that the world around us can be so pretty, if we really look into what we view, and not take it for granted. We did this throughout our whole time in Seaside, and it made it an astounding occurrence for us.

The multiple trips I took when visiting Seaside created the perfect vacation for me. The vivid and delightful sights I saw from Cannery Row, Carmel Beach, and Point Lobos, created many  fond memories in my head that will last with me for a long time, which really goes to show how superb the Seaside experience was for me.

How to Write a Summer Vacation Essay

Summer break is a great time to kick back, relax and enjoy yourself and, if you’re lucky, to go on an awesome trip! But how can you translate your amazing vacation into a narrative essay for English class or work it to fit a common application prompt? Here’s some tips to help you out:

Save Mementos From Your Summer

Even if you’re not the sentimental type, make sure to document your summer travels. Take pictures, write diary entries, save train stubs. This is the best way to ensure that you’ll remember your summer well enough to look back and write about it later.

Write an Outline Before Writing Your Essay

Regardless of whether you spent your summer break in Madison, Wisconsin or Madrid, Spain, you should plan out what you’re going to write before diving in. Make a list of what you’ve done over the summer so that you can later narrow down a focus for the essay itself. Keep in mind that the best essay topics aren’t always on the most exciting activities an essay about getting stuck in traffic on the way to the airport on the way to Denver could work better than an essay on hiking the Grand Canyon and looking out at the incredible view.

Be Specific

Since you’re going to keep a record of your trip and come up with an outline before writing your essay, you should be able to put some detail into your essay. Be as specific as possible when it comes to your word choice. If you’re talking about some gelato that you ate in Italy, don’t say that it was “delicious.” Instead, say that it was “creamy and chocolatey, with a note of vanilla.”

Focus on Feelings About Your Trip, Not What You Did

If you spent the summer on the beach in Cape Cod, you shouldn’t write about what you did. You should write instead about how you felt while there. An essay that reads “I went to beach, then had lobster for dinner” is not quite as exciting as one that goes, “As I went for a walk on the beach, I thought about how lucky I was to be able to enjoy nature.” Feelings translate better into text than events, and you should try to place those feelings into context.

Stick to Writing About a Small Moment

With any essay you write especially a short one it’s important to focus a narrow moment in time. Don’t write about your entire week in Paris. Instead, write about the moment you got lost in the city at midnight and fumbled your way home in the dark. You don’t have to pick a particularly glamorous moment from your trip, but you should pick one that meant something to you.

Edit Your Essay Carefully

The shorter the essay, the more important precision is. Regardless of length, make sure to carefully read over what you’ve written to make sure every sentence conveys the message you most want displayed. The editing process matters just as much as the writing process, even if it seems less so.

Essay on Summer Vacation in 100 words

An incredible time to visit hilly destinations with family are holidays. They give an escape from the same monotonous life schedule. The summer season is an incredible time to have those stress free excursions and get in touch with nature which is nearly impossible in our daily schedules for the whole year. I visited my grandparents last year and stayed with them for two weeks. In contrast with the word summer, the cool thing about summer vacations is discovering new trails, creating new things, etc. During my stay with my grandparents, I also read novels and other books that helped me expand my knowledge of the world. For the remainder of the vacation days, I spent them playing games and cooking my favourite dishes.

Essays on Summer Vacation: 200 Words Sample

Summer is a time to bask in the warmth of the sun, explore new horizons, and create lasting memories.

During this break, I embarked on a journey of relaxation and adventure. I had the opportunity to visit the serene beaches of a coastal town. The soothing sound of waves and the gentle caress of the sea breeze offered a perfect escape from the bustling city life. The sand between my toes and the sun kissing my skin provided a sense of tranquillity.

Holidays are an amazing time for us to visit hill stations with family. The summer season is a great time for us to take stress-free trips and get to trek in nature, which we aren’t able to do in our busy schedules for the entire year. Last year I visited my grandparents and stayed with them for 20 days. The best thing about the summer holidays is creating and discovering new things in the village. While enjoying my stay, I also learned some new things that expanded my knowledge. I spent the rest of the summer holidays playing board and video games and cooking under my mother’s supervision.

As the summer days slowly waned, a sense of nostalgia crept in. The memories and lessons from this summer vacation will continue to shape my journey as I return to the world of academics with renewed vigour and a heart full of gratitude.

Essays on Summer Vacation: 400 Words Sample

Summer vacation, that much-awaited break from the mundane routines of school and study, is a time of rejuvenation, exploration, and personal growth. It offers the perfect opportunity to unwind, reflect, and create lasting memories.

A Journey of Self-Introspection

During this past summer vacation, I embarked on a journey of self-discovery and adventure. The journey began with a sense of anticipation and excitement, as I bid adieu to textbooks and classrooms. My destination was a coastal paradise, where golden sands met the azure sea. The tranquil rhythm of the waves provided a serene backdrop for relaxation, reflection, and renewal.

The break also provided ample time for cultural exploration. I wandered through quaint streets, explored historical sites, and engaged with locals to gain insights into their way of life. Trying local cuisine became a delightful adventure in itself, as I savoured flavours that were a symphony of tradition and innovation.

Amidst exploration, I found time to reconnect with my family. Shared laughter, deep conversations, and moments of camaraderie became the heart of the vacation. We hiked through lush trails, picnicked in meadows, and watched sunsets that painted the sky in hues of orange and pink. These experiences solidified the bonds that make family the cornerstone of our lives.

Beyond leisure, the vacation allowed for personal growth. I pursued hobbies I had set aside during the academic year, from painting to playing musical instruments. I also volunteered with a local community organization, an experience that not only gave me a sense of purpose but also introduced me to remarkable individuals and stories.

As the vacation drew to a close, a sense of nostalgia settled in. The days had flown by, leaving behind memories etched in the sands of time. The journey, both physical and introspective, had transformed me. I returned with a newfound appreciation for the beauty of the world, the importance of relationships, and the significance of taking breaks to recharge.

In Conclusion

A summer vacation is more than just a break from school; it’s a transformative experience that encompasses relaxation, exploration, and growth. It’s a canvas upon which we paint our memories, our passions, and our connections. As I stepped back into the world of academics, I carried with me the lessons and experiences of this summer, poised to embrace the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.

My Ideal Vacation Essay Example

My Ideal Vacation Essay Example

  • Pages: 2 (427 words)
  • Published: January 2, 2017
  • Type: Paper

Hello, everyone. I'd like to tell you about my ideal vacation. To make my vacation perfect, certain important things need to be taken into consideration. These things include who I spend my vacation with, where I want to go, what I want to do, and the sort of weather the place has. It can be an ideal vacation when all these things are met. First of all, I like to spend my vacation with people I love and I feel comfortable with. They could be my family, friends or even my future boy friend.

Secondly, I love traveling to other countries. I love visiting new places because I can experience different cultures and meet different people who I wouldn't normally get to meet. When I go abroad, I

really get the feeling that I'm living in a big world and that all my worries are so small and pointless. It would be great to go to a country I have never been to before. I've heard from many people who've been to Europe that Barcelona was the best place they'd ever visited. Barcelona is a city that has beautiful beaches and is known for having sunny and clear weather, so if I had a chance of going to any country I wanted to, I'd choose Barcelona as my ideal vacation location.

On my vacation, I'd like to relax on a beautiful blue beach. I want to sunbathe and get a tan, too. Most people think of this sort image in their heads when they come up with their idea of an ideal vacation, and I agree with them. I know it's

because the media influences people's ideas. But, I've always wanted to experience a vacation like that at least once in my life.

So, taking all things into consideration, I'd want to go to Barcelona with the people I love, and visit many famous tourist spots and enjoy being in the sun and getting a tan on beautiful beache. After having fun on the beach, I'd like to eat delicious Spanish food for dinner.

That's what comes to mind when I think of my ideal vacation. The only trouble is, this vacation is unlikely to happen right now because it would cost a great deal of money and I can't afford it. It'd be possible once I become very successful and have more money, though! I hope I can have my ideal vacation soon! Thank you for listening to my speech.
