We called ANGI's List for this outside irrigation leak/ problem... Jeff Kissner, a plumber representing HOMEWORKS, installed a $150 valve in May, 2022, with a total cost of $895. This replaced irrigation relief valve is designed to deal with water from irrigation system, IF FREEZES. It is supposed to break up the freeze and keep it from backing up into your house, by shooting outside. Well, that's not what happened to us! The water froze, backed up and was actually forced down BY THIS DEVICE to the foundation by that valve. IT Flooded part of our lower level...causing us thousands in water restoration/repair services. Kissner, the plumber who installed it said, when he came over after the "valve failure", stated that it looks like the valve didn't work. After calling the owner/manager...ANDY, believes that, other than actually replacing the failed valve for us, that HOMEWORKS owes us nothing, not even the $895 that we paid for this EXPENSIVE service (actual cost and repair services) that we got from them. He says customer service is very important but that doesn't include any reimbursement of even the initial installment fees for services that caused us this problem/expense. He says we can "go after" the manufacturer, if we think the design of the valve is a problem! This is a company that DOES NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR WORK OR TYE PRODUCTS THEY CHARGE FOR AND INSTALL IN YOUR HOME. HE DOES NOT SUPPORT THE NEEDS OF THEIR CUSTOMERS, AND THEIR HOMES! It's NOT HIS PROBLEM! They DO offer you a $10/month "warranty" which untimely gives you 20% off your services from them, IF it's on their list of approved covered services...which most are not! That's the only reason we used them once they gave us a bid... it was so expensive,, but then Failed!

Worst customer services. I had a gas water heater installed, I called their 24/7 emergency line as I noticed a gas leak and the technician never came. I called Centerpoint, they came and identified multiple leaks, they had to shut down the gas main line for safety purposes. We had to sleep without furnace with temperatures below the 20s. And Home Works didn't care. Good products but worst customer service. See more …
