IGNOU B.Com Assignment

IGNOU (Indira Gandhi National Open University) is a well-known university that was founded in 1985. The University of Grants Commission and the NAAC have given the university an A rating globally. Every IGNOU student must finish and submit their assignments to the study centre by the deadline. Students who fail to do so will be unable to sit the IGNOU Term End Exams in June and December.

Step by Step Guide to IGNOU B.Com Assignment

Assignments make up the ongoing evaluation. Your ultimate mark will be determined by your performance on the tasks. A course assignment is worth 30% of the grade, as previously stated. As a result, you must treat your assignment with respect. A simple oversight on your part could end up costing you a lot of money in the long run. For each subject in this programme, you must complete two to three Tutor Marked Assignments. Assignments may be necessary depending on the nature of the course. The Assignments for each semester can be found on the University's Student Zone website. The activity must be completed within the timeframes specified in the assignment booklet. You will not be eligible to appear for the term-end examination for a course if you do not complete the assignment on time. Your term-end examination result may be cancelled if you show up for the exam without having submitted your assignments. Examine your assignment responses to ensure that they are complete in every aspect. Check that you've answered all of the questions in each assignment before submitting it. Your marks may suffer as a result of incomplete assignment submissions. The main objective of assignments is to check your comprehension of the learning materials you receive from us and to help you finish the courses. The evaluators/academic counsellors correct the tasks and return them to you with their comments and grades. The input will help you with your research and improve it. As a result, obtaining the evaluated Assignments as well as a copy of the assessment sheet containing the evaluator's comments on your performance is crucial. The content provided in the printed course materials should be enough for answering the tasks. Please don't be concerned about a lack of supplementary reading materials to help you complete the assignments. If you have access to additional books, you can use them instead. The assignments are designed to help you concentrate on the course material while also allowing you to rely on your own personal experiences. IGNOU Distance B.Com Fees 2024 . Your assignment response sheets must be turned in to the Study Centre Coordinator to whom you have been allocated. For your own records, save a copy of all the assignment responses you send to the Coordinator. Please contact your Study Centre immediately if you do not receive your duly evaluated tutor graded assignments, as well as a copy of the assessment sheet with the evaluator's opinions on your work, within a month of submission. This may help you improve your future assignments. The assignment responses submitted to Study Centres should be preserved in duplicate copies. At the Student Evaluation Division, they may be required to be generated on demand. After you've received the corrected assignment responses, keep track of them. In the event of a problem, this will help you submit your case to the University. If you do not earn a passing grade on an assignment, you must resubmit it. New assignments can be found in the Student Zone section of the University's website. Once you've received a pass grade, you can't resubmit an assignment for a higher grade. Assignments are not subject to re-evaluation unless the evaluator makes a factual error. Any anomalies in the evaluated assignments should be reported to the Study Centre Coordinator so that the right score can be sent to Headquarters' Student Evaluation Division. If the score on your Tutor Marked Assignment assignment sheet is not appropriately reflected or entered in your grade card, you should contact the Coordinator of your Study Centre and request that the right award list be forwarded to Headquarters' Student Evaluation Division. Do not include or express any queries or reservations you may have about the study material or assignment with the assignment. Your questions should be sent to the Director of the relevant School at IGNOU, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi - 110068. Provide your entire enrolment number, name, address, course title, Unit or assignment number, and so on at the start of your letter.

The Indira Gandhi National Open University offers admission to Bachelor of Commerce (General) (BCOMG) programme in both January and July academic sessions. It is a three year Bachelor degree programme. 

The IGNOU BCOMG programme has been divided into six semesters which includes the courses worth 132 credits where each credit is equivalent to 30 study hours which consist of all the learning activities.

Therefore, the students who are pursuing the IGNOU BCOMG programme has to pass out all the courses (132 credits) within the maximum programme duration to get bachelor degree certificate.

Students can choose maximum of 4 courses (22 credits) per semester.

IGNOU BCOM Syllabus & Courses (New)

From July 2019 onwards, the B.Com programme in Indira Gandhi National Open University has been divided into six semesters under CBCS pattern. Also, the course has been changed from BCOM to BCOMG.

To complete BCOM from IGNOU, student has to pass out 132 credits in six semesters (three years) with 22 credits per semester.

To pass out 132 credits, a student has to select courses from the following categories of courses:.

• Core Courses (CC)
• Discipline Specific Electives (DSE)
• Ability Enhancement Compulsory Courses (AECC)
• Skill Enhancement Courses (SEC), and Generic Electives (GE)

IGNOU BCOM Courses & Syllabus (Old)

While pursuing the IGNOU B.Com, the students has to choose the subjects in all three years from three different types of courses which has been mentioned below:

• Foundation Courses (24 Credits)
• Elective Courses (56  or 64  (not less than 48 credits))
• Application Oriented Courses (16 or 8)

Apart from these courses, the students also need to study an awareness course on environment ‘An Introduction to the Environment’ (NEV1). But there will be no examination conducted for this programme.

• It is the one of the oldest college in delhi.There are about sixty room in my college. There are also large halls in which our general classes are held. There are about 100 teachers in our college.I feel like i am studying in the heaven.
• My college will be unforgettable for me. The infrastructure of my college is very well defined.here is not only study but many activities to do. I am very glad that i am studying in my college.
• Nothing is here where we can say that i disliked this thing.

The cirriculum is the same in all ignou colleges and i think it is good. The exam of the semester is bot quite hard, if students studying from the beginning then they will definitely gain good marks and exam will be conducted very smoothly

Indira Gandhi National Open University Life.

• I have not came accross any kind of classes or lectures. Even if they are available I am not sure if they are helpful.
• Subjects are not properly allocated. For example I had a science paper in B com exams.

It is an open university. I am a Chartered Accountant student and have less time to invest in my B com degree so Indira Gandhi National Open University provides me a huge confession of appearing for only 6 papers to receive the degree. I am not sure if ignou will help you in any kind for grooming your social skills. Ignou can improve by providing proper study material and honest paper checking. Exams are moderately difficult but can become easy if studied properly.

• It provides open learning program so it is beneficial that I don't need to travel
• Many of information it not provided properly

As it provides many courses I opt. For bcom as I am from commerce background that will benefited me to opt for this many courses they provide that some universities does not provided I think they should improve there contact faculty as many times they didn't respond that is very difficult to get any information the difficulties level is moderate as other universities have

• The college has a flexible course plan. You can write exams and submit assignments as you seem fit.
• Easy and accessible study material. Classes are available through multiple online platforms.
• Although study materials are available, it is not available in local languages.
• Not all study centres provide classes for distance students.

The course curriculum is really easy to understand. The topics are very useful in real world. Self learning materials are available to anyone as PDFs through University sites. Exams are comparatively easy. If you follow the study materials, you are able to give the exams pretty good.

IGNOU - your one stop destination for distance learning

• The fee structure is quite economical. When I compare it with other universities, it is relatively very low. It can be opted for by almost everybody, especially for students who can barely afford to do basic education after class12th, it is a boon.
• The assignments are submitted for two semesters together and the exams are also, done for two semesters together. Also, if you miss giving exam in the respective month , there is also an option to give reappear for the exam in the next term , genius.
• The exam schedule is quite irrational sometimes, it coincides with other competitive exams which is why students have to skip this exam and wait to appear for them in next term . Thus , they have to get their facts right while preparing the schedule.
• The study centres that work with IGNOU need to be prepared. Some study centres are way too far and the teachers in charge throw tantrums while invigilating the exam

The teachers are very supportive and they are very knowledgeable because they not only prepared the students for what is to come in the exam but they also prepare the students for the real world applications.The books are also provided to the students really before the examination so the students have ample of time to prepare for the examination and the curriculum is very simple.If the student is a little bit hard working he can top the examination with flying colours. In all, IGNOU is the so far, the best.

Finance and accounts were the specific aspects of the curriculum that influence mine decision to choose this course. the curriculum prepares me very well for the real world applications or further academic pursuits. the frequency and timing of exams are good one gets enough time to study and with good difficulty level

• IGNOU also provider reservation facility which which is prove as a best part of this university for me
• Ignou provide book by post after the registration of next semester but it take so many time to complete it more than 3 month

For doing Bcomg form ignou because I want to do work beside by graduation that way I choose ignou . And other reason is it fee structure it is very good and because of reservation I will till pay only less than 6000 for my course.

Course Overview

This is an unique and innovative programme in many respects with the following features:

• Students without a formal qualification of 10+2 or its equivalent can also seek admission
• Student can study at his own pace and convenience over a period of 3 to 8 years.
• Student also gets basic knowledge in the core areas of Humanities, Social Sciences, Computers and Science & Technology as there are some compulsory foundation courses.
• As there is a minimum component of application-oriented courses, student is exposed to vocational/professional expertise.
• Students have the opportunity to develop skills in computers by selecting computer courses.
• Besides elective course in commerce there is flexibility to choose courses from a wide range of other disciplines.
• Teaching is done through an innovative multi-media.
• A student of another University can seek admission to this programme on the basis of credits obtained by him/her from that University. A student, thus admitted need not write IGNOU examination for such courses which are found equivalent to ours

To successfully complete the B.Com Programme, one has to earn 96 credits over a period of three to six years depending on one’s convenience.

B.Com. Programme has three major components:

1.   Foundation Courses    2. Elective Courses 3. Application-Oriented Courses 

A student is allowed to take courses worth 32 credits in each year. In the first year, a student has to take 16 credits in Foundation Courses and 16 credits in Elective Courses. In the second year one has to take 8 credits of Foundation Course and 24 credits of Elective Courses. In the third year one has to take 24 credits in Elective Courses and 8 credits in Application-oriented Courses. Alternatively, one can take 16 to 24 credits of Electives and 8 to 16 of Application-oriented courses.

The Foundation Courses also include a number of modern Indian languages and one has to choose any one from among them, totalling 4 credits.

Teleconferencing

Teleconferencing is a one-way video and two-way audio facility. Teleconferencing will be held every month. During teleconferencing session, you will get an opportunity to interact by phone in facility or fax with the resource persons/experts who participate in teleconferencing session and clear your doubts immediately.

The teleconferencing facility will be available at the Regional Centre and Selected Study Centres. The teleconferencing schedule will be sent to the Programme In-charge and Regional Director who would inform the students. Teleconferencing is done through Gyan Darshan Channel. Students must regularly attend these sessions. These will help them clarify doubts and interact with other learners all over the country.

Radio Counselling

Radio counselling will be held through FM and students can ask questions free of cost with phone in facilities right from their homes. A toll free telephone number 110012345 has been provided for this purpose.

The programme will also be telecast through DD Metro channel and schedule will be informed to students in advance.

Audio-video Programme

Audio and video programmes for each course have been prepared to support learning for the students. These Audio-video programmes in the form of cassettes are available at all Programme Study Centres. These Audio and video cassettes will be provided for viewing and listening. They can also hire the cassettes for viewing and listening.

Students will be required to complete seventy-five percent attendance in theory counselling to become eligible for appearing in Term-end Examination. Similarly, they will be required to complete ninety percent attendance in practical contact sessions to become eligible for appearing in practical examination.

Continuous Evaluation of Theory Component

Assignments

Assignment is a means of continuing assessment of theory and practical. Assignments will help you to recapitulate the theory and go back to the text again in case students are unable to answer a particular question. Thus assignments also help to reinforce learning in distance learning system of education. These assignments consist of a set of questions and activities that you will answer at your own place by referring your blocks. The assignments will cover all types of questions (long answer type, short answer type, objective type, multiple choice questions and case studies). The assignments will carry thirty percent weightage. Students will be required to obtain fifty percent marks as pass percentage in each assignment separately. Each assignment will carry 100 marks. In the final result assignments will carry thirty percent weightage.

Term-end Examination

As stated earlier, term-end examination is the major component of the evaluation system and if carries seventy percent weightage in the Final result. The University conducts term-end examination twice a year i.e., in June and December. They can take the examination only after completion of the course, failing which students can take the same in December or June of subsequent years years within the total span of the programme. In case any student fail to get a pass score in the Tern-end Examination, the person will be eligible to reappear at the next Term-end Examination for that course as and when if is held, within the total span of the Programme.

IGNOU Assignment 2024-25: Submission Last Date – The IGNOU Assignment Question Paper is now available for Download for TEE Session December 2024 as well as TEE June 2025. IGNOU Assignment Submission Last Date is 30th September 2024 which is applicable for TEE December 2024 students. Therefore, the students who going to appear in TEE December 2024 should download and submit their IGNOU Assignment before the last date.

After getting admission to IGNOU University, all candidates have to download and submit only the latest session assignments for their selected programs. The candidates can download the IGNOU assignment question paper for each course from here after their admission is confirmed by the university. Furthermore, it is required for students to submit the required assignments to appear in the IGNOU term end examinations. The assignments for IGNOU courses are now uploaded online and the students can now check and download the latest assignment questions for TEE December 2024 and June 2025.

IGNOU Assignment 2024-25

Every IGNOU candidates have to write and submit their assignments to the respective study centre before the due date. IGNOU Assignment Weightage in 2024

IGNOU Assignments have 30% weighted in each IGNOU program so candidates can’t ignore it. They have to write the best assignment solution to get higher marks in the result and it also increases their performance report in their grade card. The program will be marked as incomplete without submission of the IGNOU Assignment so you must complete and submit the assignments before the due date.
