How to Do Homework in The Sims 4 — Pass Your Academics

In The Sims 4, you can experience the life you’ve always wanted. As long as that life includes completing homework for your child and / or teen sims. If you want to make doubly sure your offspring are on the fast-track for success, you’ll want to make triply sure they’re completing their weekly homework.

How to Do Homework in The Sims 4

So, you’re the proud parent of a little simlish bundle of joy … or two … or three . Each weekday — Monday to Friday — your child or teen sim will have homework after school. You’ll find it in their inventory, and if you select it from there, it will give you the option to complete the homework.

It is also an option to have an adult help them with their homework by clicking on the adult, selecting the child or teen sim, and then clicking on the HELP WITH HOMEWORK option. Either of these options will help to preserve their school performance and give them a wealth of knowledge and experience.

How do you take your final exam in The Sims 4?

If you have an adult sim taking university courses, you can have them take the final exam by attending the last day of class. It should be noted, however, that it appears a bug exists that prevents players from having their sim take the final exam. The Sims 4's Discover University Expansion Pack added new hobbies, skills, and careers alongside that all-important shiny new set of cheats in the game to dive into - so here's how to use them all.

All Discover University degree cheats

In the table below, you'll see cheats for both 'BA' and 'BS'. BA is for Britechester University and BS is for Foxbury Institute .

The types of degrees available are degrees, degrees with honours, distinguished degrees, and distinguished degrees with honours - the latter of which is indicated by 'Honors' at the end of the code.

Discover University introduced two new skills to the game, robotics and research and debate skills.

To cheat these to their max levels, you'll need the following codes:

All you'll need to change about these codes when entering them in-game is to replace the 'X' with the number of the level you wish your Sim to reach. For example, you could do 'stats.set_skill_level Major_ResearchDebate 3' if you just want to give them a little headstart in the skill.

Career cheats for Discover University

Five new careers arrived in Discover University, with some being perfect for your post grads, and others being more suited to Sims during their studying days. You can promote your Sims that have been assigned these careers in a jiffy with the following codes:

If you want your Sim to go down a career level, simply replace the word 'promote' to 'demote' in the cheat, and they'll fall one rank down in the ladder.

When you think of gaming, homework probably is the furthest thing from your mind– but in the Sims 4, knowing how to do homework is the key to becoming a successful student, integral with the parenting skill, and impacts your Sims’ life in a few ways.

One thing’s for certain: whether you’re trying to raise a family, or cramming study sessions in between dorm parties, knowing how to do homework is a must in the Sims 4– and there’s more to it than you might think. Consider this your guide to homework, and all things related, in the Sims 4.

Homework in Sims: A Brief History

Homework has been signature gameplay in the Sims franchise. As a life simulator, it only makes sense that, just like players have to contend with paying bills, cleaning dirty dishes, and juggling careers with relationships, parenting, and everyday life. And it’s actually rather interesting to see how doing homework in the Sims has been important from generation to generation, but also evolved.

Here’s a Sparknotes version of the history of homework in the Sims franchise.

Homework was not a mainstay of the original Sims game, but it was in the Sims 2. In the Sims 2, homework was important for teens, kids, and the then-new young adult life stage.

Children and Teens

A child and teen in the Sims 2 were required to go to school (with options for both public and private). Homework was generated daily. After the bus brought the kid home, that child Sim would have a physical copy of homework in their hand. Normally, homework would be set on a desk or nearby surface, though I remember many times it would just as often be placed on the ground. Completing homework had a direct effect on the Sims’ grades. Every day without incomplete homework resulted in a deduction.

A teen’s homework was a duller color, compared with the bright hues of a kid’s homework. If a Sims’ needs were not met, then they would likely not finish homework. When a Sim aged up, their homework automatically disappeared.

There were a few basic interactions for children and teens with homework in the Sims 2.

• Work on Homework
• Complete Homework
• Ask for Homework Help — this could be asked of any older Sim, and not only helped Sims complete homework more quickly, but also allowed them to complete homework more efficiently in the future.

Young Adults

Young adults were introduced in the Sims 2 University expansion pack, and have since become perhaps the most popular life stage in the Sims franchise. In the Sims 2, this life stage was limited to the University expansion. These young adults worked on assignments in order to influence their grades. It worked in a similar way as with kids and teens, though in addition to homework, they also had exams to deal with.

Sims 3 continued the homework system from Sims 2, making it clear that doing homework would become an expected gameplay feature in the Sims franchise. In many ways, Sims 3 kept the same basic systems for homework intact but enhanced it through new traits, packs, and an updated interface.

School, again, was mandatory for children in the Sims 3 , with a new boarding school option for no private school. If a Sim was sent to boarding school, there was nothing that you needed to worry about in terms of completing homework. Otherwise, it worked more or less the same way: new homework was generated and had to be completed for every school day.

New features included:

• The ability to do homework with a Sim of the same age
• The ability to copy homework (which could send them to detention)
• Ability to work on past due homework
• Enhanced homework completion with the workaholic and bookworm traits or if your Sim was a vampire (Sims 3: Supernatural expansion)
• Homework became a hidden skill
• Sims with an A average could select their new trait when they became a teen or young adult
• Grades listed in the new Simology panel

Young Adults (and Adults)

Sims who opted to attend college (via the Sims 3: University Life expansion pack), of course, had homework of their own. Homework, or assignments, were fairly similar to Sims 2, and, like Sims 2, the grades were determined by other factors like exams, but also somewhat how they behaved in their seminars, as well as outside projects.

Homework in the Sims 4- Your Guide

If you’ve played previous Sims games, the good news is that homework in the Sims 4 isn’t too different from previous Sims games. But like each generation, there are different tricks and tips you need to keep in mind to be successful, whether you are just looking to complete homework to help teens pass high school, or your Sims are tackling on a degree at the University of Britechester or Foxbury Institute of Technology.

Here’s what I think you need to know.

Children are required to go to school, and Sims 4 does arguably take a step back in that public school is the only option for children and teens.

Getting to School

In a curious move, Sims 4 does not have any transportation that picks Sims up. In fact, the lack of even cars in the game has been a source of contention. In any case, a school bus won’t pick up children or teens, nor can you watch them make their way to school, as you could in the Sims 3. Instead, children and teens will either automatically transport themselves to school, or you can prompt them.

Decisions During School

Especially if you have Sims 4 Parenthood game pack, you can influence teen and child Sims’ days at school, at least a little. Pop-ups may occasionally come up where you are given a scenario, just as another kid caught cheating, or your Sim being teased. Some of these will impact your Sim’s mood and social life. Sometimes, a child or teen will also ask for advice, which is tied to Sims 4 Parenthood parenting skills.

Locating Homework

As was the case with Sims 2, there is a small distinction in the appearance of children and teens’ homework. Children Sim will have a yellow Grade School Handbook, which, when not being worked on, is typically in their inventory. Teen homework is a blue notebook.

If you’re like me, though, sometimes homework gets lost in the house. If that happens you can actually purchase homework from a bookcase for a single simoleon. And unlike in the Sims 2, homework isn’t assigned to one Sim in particular, meaning a kid can complete their homework even if it wasn’t their original copy.

How to Do/ Complete Homework

To work on homework, simply drag it out of your Sims’ inventory and click on it for the “Do Homework” option. You can have your Sim to do homework all at once, or pick it back up after taking care of their needs. Remember, your teen or child Sim will be assigned homework every school day, with no new homework on weekends.

Homework and Grade Performance

Knowing how to do homework in Sims 4 is helpful for grade performance, but it also isn’t the only factor. In fact, by building skills, working on projects, and even keeping your Sims in a good mood, you can remain a fairly good student even when you skip homework from time to time.

Sims that are at a B or A average also will have access to the “Do Extra Credit” option. This pops up after they complete their homework for the day and you select their homework a second time (homework doesn’t disappear after being completed like previous Sims games). Extra credit is a chance to boost your Sims’ grades even more.

School Projects

School Projects are a unique feature exclusive to the Sims 4: Parenthood game pack. Available to teens and children, Sims can both work on their own projects and assist others. Working on a project builds all child skills at once.

Unlike homework, there is no official deadline for school projects so there aren’t penalties for however long it takes. Once a project is completed, the student can start on a new one. Adults can help both teens and kids; kids can be helped by teens/.

You’ll be able to select from one of seven projects, all available for purchase on build mode. The completed project will be rated as excellent, good, or poor. Siblings may get upset with one another if their project is destroyed by a brother or sister.

How to Do Homework Faster

I admit; sometimes I get impatient with doing homework in Sims 4, especially if I have other plans for the family. The good news is that, if you work on your Sims’ skills, you can speed up the process for children.

You’ll need to work equally on the four major skills for Sim Children: creativity; mental; motor; social; and mental. Level 3 of all of these allows you to “Breeze through Homework” while level 7 allows them to “Dominate Homework”.

For teens, your only real option is installing a mod (which I will discuss later).

University Students

Young adult and adult Sims can attend one of two campuses if you have the The Sims 4: Discovery University expansion pack installed. Homework, as you might imagine, is part of the equation–but the homework system looks different for adult and young adult Sims than it does for younger Sims, which impacts how you should do homework.

Getting Accepted

I won’t go into a full guide to the Discover University pack, but, in a nutshell, you Sim will have to first apply using a computer. Based upon their previous grades, skill set, and some other factors, they will either be offered or denied admission to the program of their choice at the University of Britechester of Foxbury Institute of Technology.

There is also the opportunity to gain scholarships and take out loans to finance their education. In my experience, most get accepted to school but may be limited to pursuing an honorary degree. Humanities-based degrees at Britechester, like English Literature, are honorary, while if you want a science or technology degree with distinction your Sim should attend the more modern Foxbury.

Homework Load at University

Homework is a part of the university experience in Sims 4, and doing it will help your Sims’ performance. Homework appears in their inventory (as a black and white book) and is meant to be completed before every class. You can also purchase homework from a bookshelf or the college’s kiosk (found out on the quad).

Classes are usually in the form of seminars and do not last all day, but your Sim, depending on your enrollment decisions, will likely have at least two classes per day, meaning you’ll have to juggle multiple assignments.

Other Types of Homework

In addition to doing daily homework, Sims need to attend class regularly. You’ll also be working towards end of the semester exams, final projects, and term papers, depending on the class. Doing homework daily is helpful in keeping their grade average high, and putting a little less pressure on a term paper. It is possible to flunk out of college, so doing homework on a regular basis and attending classes is a must.

How to Make Homework Easier

Knowing how to do homework doesn’t cut it, though. Between classes, roommates, parties, extracurriculars, and just taking care of basic needs, if you’re like me, you’ll want to tip things in your Sims’ favor a little. Here are some tips

• Work on skills related to their major, or current classes
• Keep your Sim in a good mood by keeping needs in check
• Decorate your space with objects that exude a “Focused” mood (you can see this if you hover over objects in buy mode)
• Lock your dorm room to other Sims when studying
• Work on the Research and Debate skills
• Study in the library or another place if your roommate is partying
• Live off-campus and apply the “Study Spot” lot traits

Using Mods for Better Homework

If you know how to do homework in the Sims 4 but want it to run more smoothly, another option is to download a mod. I always caution that mods are at your own risk, and they can break, so make sure you check to see that the mod has been updated and that you’re downloading from a secure site.

Better Autonomous Homework by LittleMsSam

This mod fixes what many saw as a deficit in the Sims 4 homework system, by making sure that child Sims will do their homework without your prompting. Now and Sim with an A, B, or C average won’t require you to direct them to do their homework, at least initially.

Subject Homework adds a little nuance and potential storytelling element for how to do homework for teens and kids in the Sims 4, all the while improving skills. Children will now be able to practice vocabulary (improves motor skill); review social studies (increases social skill) and do math problems (improves mental skill).

Teens can now solve algebra problems (increases logic skill); write a fitness article (raises fitness skill); practice creative writing (increases writing skill); and study music theory (improve the guitar skill).

Skill Cheats

For skill cheats, use stats.set_skill_level then the main cheat, in this case, AdultMinor_Entrepreneur. At the end of the cheat, the skill level is needed. This cheat goes up to level 5.

To add these cheats, you need to add this modifyrelationship cheat then add the cheat you want to use at after the underscore of sentimenttrack.

Likes and Dislikes

To add a like, dislike, or no opinion, you need to use:

To add buffs, you need to first put these phrases into the console and then the cheat phrase after it.

sims.add_buff adds buffs. sims.remove_buff removes buffs.

These might have prerequisites to work such as being part of the Cheer Team to have a buff about the cheer team.

If you’re wondering how to do homework, Sims 4 is way easier and more fun than real life! One of the unique aspects of Sims 4 is how it mimics real-world experiences, including raising Sim children and boosting your Sim’s school performance. Understanding how to help with homework is challenging, especially with the complex updates since previous Sims games.

Below, we discuss everything you need to know about homework in the Sims 4 universe!

What You Need To Know About Homework in the Sims Universe

Homework is nothing new to the Sims franchise. The game capitalizes on real-world chores, like doing the dishes, parenting children, paying bills, going to work, and juggling each life stage. The homework system evolved throughout Sims 2 and 3 to reach the level it’s at now, which we discuss in more detail below.

Kids Must Go to School

The game requires all child Sims to attend school. In previous games, you could choose the type of grade school your children and teens attended, though now public school is your only option. Fortunately, you can influence their mood and social life during the school day by helping them make decisions about social dilemmas.

For example, you might receive a notification about another child Sim cheating on a test or bullying the younger Sims. Parenting your Sim through these scenarios directly impacts their personality.

Adults Can Choose To Attend University

Young adult Sims can choose to further their education by attending a university. You can pick between two schools with the Discover University Expansion pack. Before attending, your Sims must apply, as real university students would.

The two university options, the University of Britechester or the Foxbury Institute of Technology, will analyze your Sim’s skills and grades before offering an acceptance or denial letter. You can also apply for scholarships and loans to help finance your Sim’s education. Once they attend school, they can choose a different degree like literature, electronic arts, science, technology, etc.

Every adult Sim attending a university must complete homework, just like the child Sims do, though they usually spend less time each day in class. University students must balance term papers, daily homework, extra credit, and exams while attending classes. Helping your older Sim stay on track with their university homework prevents them from failing the semester.

You Don’t Need to Worry About School Transportation

You’ll notice that Sims 4 doesn’t have a school bus or any other transportation system to get your child or teen Sims to school. Luckily, you don’t need to worry about walking them or watching them arrive. In Sims 4, all students automatically teleport to the necessary classroom at the appropriate times.

Locating Homework Gets Complicated

Keeping track of all the homework in the Sims 4 universe isn’t easy. Each student’s age group receives different homework books, so it’s important to keep them organized. The following key outlines each Sim’s homework book color by age:

• Children: Yellow Grade School Handbook and orange homework book
• Teen’s homework: Blue homework book
• Adults: Black and white book (found in the Sims inventory)

You can purchase books and copies if your Sim loses the original version. We also recommend getting a bookcase to organize all homework books in your house. Adult students can purchase books and homework from the University Kiosk.

How To Do Homework: Sims 4

Now that you understand how homework functions, let’s discuss how to help your Sims family dominate homework. School work is a necessary evil in the game because Sims’ grades suffer when they skip homework or turn in incomplete homework.

Completing Homework for Sims 4 Kids

When your child Sim comes home from school, they’ll bring an orange book in their backpack with all their homework. You must have them complete homework before the next school day. Follow these instructions:

• Open the Sim’s inventory for your younger Sims.
• Click “Do homework.”
• Aid them with any needs as they work.
• Send an adult Sim to help with the child’s homework.
• Click “help with homework” from the adult Sim’s inventory.
• Increase child “skills” levels to complete homework faster (like the research and debate skill).
• Once finished, have the Sim complete extra credit to boost homework grades.

Note that whenever you leave a Sim to do homework, they will continue working until finished unless they need something. Keep an eye on event triggers and low needs to ensure that your Sim child or teen continues working hard.

Helping Sim Teens Dominate Homework

Teenaged Sims complete regular homework just like the younger Sims. Once they’re home from school, open up the inventory menu and select the option to work on class homework. You can make one of your other Sims offer homework help to complete the process more quickly by following the same instructions above.

If your teen Sim has a B in the class, they can choose to do extra credit as well to boost their grades. Helping your teen Sim get an A improves their odds of getting accepted into a university.

We also recommend getting earbuds from the Fitness Stuff Pack to let your teens listen to music while they do homework. Sometimes grueling school hours can decrease fun levels, but music helps keep energy high.

Completing School Projects

Aside from regular homework, sometimes your family members bring home school projects. In Sims 4: Parenthood, you’ll likely see a school project at least once weekly.

Unlike homework, projects are semi-optional. If your Sim completes the work, their grade goes up, but if they don’t finish it in a few days, their grade will only go down a small amount.

You can have your Sims complete projects just as they do homework. The new homework project appears in the inventory, where you can prompt your Sim to begin working on it. You have two options to choose from when they do homework for a school project:

• Sloppy : Letting your Sim do homework sloppily completes the project faster, though it offers smaller grade increases.
• Careful : When Sims work carefully on a project, they boost their grades more and gain certain skills, depending on the project type. Child Sims might gain creativity or building skills while teens can acquire more specific ones like painting or rocket science skills.

To make the homework project fly by, you can have up to three Sims work on it together, including adults. We recommend assigning an adult with more advanced skills to help move things along. Once completed, any child Sims will receive improved responsibility character value scores.

Completing Adult Sim University Work

If you sign up for the University Expansion, you have the fun opportunity of sending your adult Sims to college. University homework is more advanced since it requires your Sims to do homework for multiple classes at once. Rather than doing one homework assignment daily, each Sim might need to complete two or three to prepare for classes the next day.

When you’re ready to have your Sim do homework, click on the specific homework book for the class you want them to work on. Remember, university books are black and white. After selecting the appropriate class, your Sim can work on their homework for as long as you choose.

Adult Sims with strong research and debate skill levels enjoy rapid homework completion rates. We recommend helping your Sims improve their debate skills to finish homework quickly.

Tips for Finishing Homework Faster

Balancing homework with other life stresses is challenging in Sims 4. If you want to help your Sims finish their homework quickly and easily, use these tips:

• Help your Sims increase their logic skill level.
• Work on skills related to their major or classes.
• Dedicate a space in the house for homework with calming decorations.
• Keep your dorm room locked from others while your Sims study.
• Increase your Sims’ research and debate skills.
• Take your Sim to the library if their roommate throws a party.
• Apply for Study Spot lot traits.
• Boost child skill levels so they can finish homework quickly.
• Consider downloading mods to help you fly through homework smoothly.

In The Sims 4 ’s new expansion, High School Years , your teen Sims can head out to school the same way some Sims head to work. You can go with them to control what they do throughout the school day, affecting their relationships and academic growth.

Notably, in the career tab for the teen Sim, you’ll see that they have a daily task to “do homework” after every school day (as you’d expect from school). Though homework for young Sims is not a new addition, it can be new for players who never had teenage Sims.

The homework your teen Sim has to do will be in their personal inventory , as a little blue book. You can select it and click “do homework” and your teen Sim will move to a nearby table to do it.

Based on our gameplay, not doing homework didn’t do anything too dramatic to the Sims’ school performances. As long as your teen Sim is attending class, they’ll progress in their career just fine. However, if you want them to improve their grades faster, they should actively be doing their homework.

This is a huge, curated list of cheats in The Sims 4 that allow you to get money, prevent death, and adjust your Skill and Career levels. We've also listed cheats for Get to Work and other Expansion Packs . Look to the bottom of the list for expansion-specific information. We're also updated with more official cheats from EA, including ignore career unlocks and MoveObjects!

How to Cheat

To use cheats, press Control + Shift + C to toggle the console on and off. You do this on Xbox or Playstation by pressing all four shoulder buttons simultaneously. Press enter after typing the cheat. For many cheats, you must also use testingcheats on or they will not work. Most cheats are used in live mode (F2).

Build Mode Cheats We've got build mode cheats listed above, but you can learn a lot more about using them by visiting the Building Cheats page .

Pregnancy and Multiple Birth Cheats You can use relationship cheats to Try for Baby quickly, and follow up with a cheat once the Sim is pregnant in order to force the Sim into labor. You can also cheat to get twins, triplets, quadruplets, or more! Find this near the end of the Pregnancy Guide or to get pregnancy cheats specifically, I've made a page about how to use Pregnancy Cheats which includes a video example.

Cheats to Make a Sim a Ghost Head to the Ghosts guide for Cheats to turn a Sim into a ghost of any kind, based on the death type. You can also skip Ambrosia or the Book of Life and make a Sim who's died back into a normal Sim by removing this ghost trait once they've been added back to your family.

Testing Cheats

To enable TestingCheats, open the console with Left CTRL+Shift+C (press/hold with one fluid motion in that order) or by pressing all four shoulder buttons on console. Once the white box appears, type testingcheats on . To disable testing cheat, type testingcheats off . The cheat console will say, "Cheats Enabled" or "Disabled". If it does not, you can try other options: testingcheats 1 , testingcheats true , and testingcheats yes all work to enable the Sims 4's testingcheats. Once enabled, they should stay on for your save. Here are the things you can do with testingcheats - note that this command is also necessary for the extra cheats further down.

How to Use Shift-click Style Cheats on PS4/Xbox Consoles - Shift clicking on Xbox One and Playstation 4 is obviously not possible. You enable this option by pressing X+O (PS4) or A+B (Xbox One).

Shift-Click the Mailbox to access the cheat to stop a Sim's need decay for your current household or the entire neighborhood (effectively make everyone happy). Disable Need Decay will make needs stop falling and re-enabling them is as simple as selecting "Enable Need Decay". Make Happy will then fill needs to the maximum. You can do this on an individual Sim level by Shift-Clicking Your Sims . This will let you select to make only that Sim's needs static or make them happy by filling all needs. You are also able to completely redesign a Sim by shift-clicking them and selecting Modify in CAS . This takes you to Create-A-Sim where you can make the Sim look however you want, but not change their gender or traits.

Change Traits and Appearance of Sims To fully edit a Sim in Create-a-Sim, type cas.fulleditmode with Testing Cheats On. This will let you change the gender, traits, everything, and is much more powerful than the scaled down version you get without typing this cheat. Thanks Pokeh321 for giving me this information.

Shift-Clicking NPC Sims will allow you to add them to your household. You will find it's possible to enable/disable need decay and make them happy if you so choose - good if your Sim's date has to leave due to being tired! You can also Edit them in CAS if you like.

Shift-Clicking the Ground will allow you to Teleport anywhere you could walk in the neighborhood. Shift-Clicking Objects allows you to reset them, should something get stuck or broken.

Shift-Clicking Objects , for those that can get dirty, allows you to either make them dirty or clean - all objects can be reset, as well. Use this if an object is bugged, but it's more likely to be useful when a Sim freezes.

Customize the size of Items - Enlarge or Shrink - For decorative purposes, this one is a winner. It allows you to alter items while retaining their other properties (so a masterpiece painting shrunk down will consume less wall space). This cheat only works while in build mode, as changing object size requires you to be able to fit it somewhere. Take the object you want to change size of and Press Shift + ] (right bracket) to make it bigger. You can shrink objects down to one tile by using Shift + [ or using Control + Z to undo your changes. Press this too much and it will grow enormously. The controls for this are a little wonky, so experimentation is recommended. I press control + ] then move the object to see the change. This is necessary. Thankfully, if you go overboard like in the picture above you can always undo it and shrink the object down to a size you like.

Skill, Career, and Aspiration Cheats

Powerful Hidden Cheats I am only listing the most common cheats here. More in-depth stuff, such as the ability to Equip and Remove Traits can be done but the list is too lengthy for here, so that is on its own page. If you want to go further and use a mod, you can change the weather if you're a Seasons player , and even alter whether a Sim is pregnant .

Testingcheats on should be enabled, as some cheats will not work without it. Skill / Career cheats only effect the selected Sim.

Money X - Type Money 50000 or 1000000, whatever you like, and your family will have that amount exactly. This can be used to subtract funds, because it sets the money to whatever amount you specify. Motherlode is a wonderful cheat, but somewhat outdated given this powerful function.

Satisfaction/Aspiration Cheats - Type Aspirations.Complete_Current_Milestone and you will get all the satisfaction from completing that milestone and move on to the next, one stage closer to the special Reward Trait you get for completing the Aspiration. You can do this repeatedly until you have every Reward trait and gobs of satisfaction. It's listed above but bears repeating here: Sims.Give_Satisfaction_Points gives the selected Sim an amount of satisfaction equal to what you enter. sims.give_satisfaction_points 50000 would give you 50,000 (so do not use commas).

Infinite Consumables - One-time use potions can be bought with satisfaction. You may also milk Cow Plants that have killed Sims to get a potion that increases a Sim's lifespan . You can make these consumables infinite by using the objects.consumables_infinite_toggle Cheat. This can allow you to always get a particular Emotion , or make a Sim immortal with aging still on.

Careers Cheats

To cheat career levels, join the Career you want and with testingcheats enabled, type Careers.promote X - for example careers.promote astronaut would promote your Sim to the next level in the Astronaut career. Any Careers that have multiple words should contain no spaces, for example careers.promote secretagent.

careers.demote X also works, causing a Sim to go back a level. You cannot use this to go back to the branch choice for a career - if you're at the first level of a branch, you'll be fired using this. If you don't know which branch you want, check out the linked Career guides to see the benefits and pay of each. The Careers Guide also has a table to compare careers .

Adding and Removing Cheats via Command Careers can be added via command using careers.add_career careercode or careers.remove_career careercode . These can evidently be used to give a teenager an adult job, though things can bug out - especially with Freelancer Careers . Always back up your saved game before trying weird things!

If you are not aware, you'll love this trick: to quickly get multiple promotions , copy the command below for the career you're in - just the careers.promote x part - and paste it into the game's command line with Control - V (Command-V on Mac). Paste it until you're level 10!

School Cheats

Raise a Sim's grades with careers.promote gradeschool or careers.promote highschool . You can lower them as well with careers.demote gradeschool/highschool .

Skill Cheats

Stats.Set_Skill_Level is the skill cheat . You must put a skill and level in the code. As an example, type Stats.set_skill_level major_painting 7 to set painting to level 7 - any level between 1 and 10 will work. Replace with major_parenting or vampire_lore, based on how the game defines skills which are listed below. Note the different syntax for fitness, minor skills, and children's skills . If you cannot get skill cheats to work try stats.set_skill_level adultmajor_x instead of just 'major'. You can find _ near the backspace key on your keyboard.

With testingcheats on, type Stats.set_skill_level major_handiness 10 - make handiness 10. Note the Major_ before the skill name. If you did this, you'd see the level 10 popup. If you want to see what unlocks with each level, read the linked guide or adjust it by 1 each time so that you can see information on each new level. Here are all the skills in Sims 4, which you can cheat to max. Beside each, there's a link to the associated Skill Guide so that you can learn how to use it!

To max all skills quickly, copy stats.set_skill_level major_ and paste it into your command console in-game. Finish the command with the skill, then the level. This doesn't work for fitness so you need to copy that line. Remember Photography caps at 5.

• Skill_Bowling - stats.set_skill_level skill_bowling 5 (minor skill with 5 levels)

Emotion Cheats

This requires TwistedMexi's AllCheats but is something people frequently want to do so I'm listing it here. You can influence Emotions slightly by adding buffs to Sims, though you may need happy or other boosts to put them at 'Very Inspired' or add more negative buffs to make a Sim super-embarrassed (Mortified). Here are some I took from TwistedMexi's wiki which I'm using with his permission. Use Sims.add_buff X, for example Sims.add_buff social_happy:

• Energized: EnergizedLow or EnergizedHigh (do not stack, high gives +2 Energized )
• Flirty: FlirtyLow or FlirtyHigh (do not stack, high gives +2 Flirty )
• Inspired: InspiredLow or InspiredHigh (do not stack, high gives +2 Inspired )
• Focused: FocusedLow or FocusedHigh (do not stack, high gives +2 Focused )
• Playful: PlayfulLow or PlayfulHigh (do not stack, high gives +2 Playful )
• Sad: SadLow or SadHigh (do not stack, high gives +2)
• Angry: Social_Angry, e_Buff_Angry, feelingangry, unfaithful (these all stack)
• Happy: Social_Happy or e_Buff_Happy (these two stack, adding Happiness )
• Uncomfortable: e_buff_uncomfortable
• Embarrassed: e_buff_embarrassed, peedself (these two stack)

Trait, Reward & Aspiration Reward Cheats

Traits can be equipped to Sims, as well as Satisfaction Point Rewards and those you earn for completing Aspirations . The cheat to add/remove them is Traits.equip_trait X or Traits.Remove_trait X . Nearly all Trait Cheats can be found here . Most are simply the name of the trait, but it's not always the case. For example, there are:

• Traits.equip_trait Active - the regular trait, active
• Traits.equip_trait Antiseptic - Hygiene decays at half rate (Reward)
• Traits.equip_trait EpicPoet - If you're looking for Poetic to make the Book of Life , this is one that is named oddly
• Traits.equip_trait Hardlyhungry - Hunger decays at half rate
• Traits.equip_trait Independent - Social decays at half rate
• Traits.equip_trait Neverweary - Never Weary, which makes Energy deplete at half the usual rate.
• Traits.equip_trait SteelBladder - Bladder won't decay
• Traits.equip_trait Webmaster - Webmaster Reward trait for completion of the Computer Whiz Aspiration

Relationship Cheats

You can modify Sims' relationships by using the somewhat long modifyrelationship yoursimfirst yoursimlast targetsimfirst targetsimlast x relationshiptype . Relationshiptype is either LTR_Friendship_main or LTR_Romance_Main . With Cats and Dogs, you use LTR_SimtoPet_Friendship_Main , which won't work if the pet has no last name. X is the percentage of the bar, either full, half, or half into the red (negative numbers). While there are many different relationship names, these are simply combinations of varying amounts of friendship/romance (either positive or negative). Learn more about Romance in The Sims 4 here .

• modifyrelationship Bella Goth Mortimer Goth 100 LTR_Friendship_main - Bella and Mortimer are now best friends
• modifyrelationship Bella Goth Fluffy Goth 100 LTR_SimtoPet_Friendship_main - Make Bella friends with her pet if playing Cats and Dogs.
• modifyrelationship Bella Goth Mortimer Goth -100 LTR_Friendship_main - this will make Bella and Mortifer go all the way to enemies
• modifyrelationship Bella Goth Mortimer Goth 100 LTR_Romance_main - They're now soulmates if they have a high friendship level as well
• modifyrelationship Bella Goth Mortimer Goth -100 LTR_Romance_main - Drain their romance bar all the way to red

Get to Work Cheats

The following are, again, provided by TwistedMexi who kindly took the time to find these cheats hidden within the game engine. Here are the most requested cheats from this Expansion. The others are spread about, such as in the careers and skills sections above. You can learn about Get to Work here .

Retail Perk Cheats Be sure to include the true at the end of these cheats in order to unlock the associated perk. This makes perk point cheats unnecessary, though it does require a bit more typing.

Get famous cheats.

Learn about the Get Famous Expansion Pack here . Get Famous includes a lot of the cheats you need through the testingcheats interface. Shift-click Sims and you can use the 'Public Image' menu to increase the celebrity's fame rank , tweak their public image from good or bad, or even freeze their fame and remove specific quirks. If you want to reset fame perks , that's doable with the phone for $275. The actor career , acting skill , and media production are all found in their relevant categories but I'll list them: stats.set_skill_level major_acting 10, stats.set_skill_level minor_mediaproduction 5, careers.promote actor or, for children , careers.promote dramaclub for example.

Dine Out Cheats

The following restaurant perk cheats for the The Sims 4 Dine Out Game Pack were gathered based on the format for the GTW Cheats as this category seems to borrow from Get to Work's Retail . I found the same code works, just had to track down the name of them within the files. You'll notice they differ. Note that Meal Rush and Surplus Harvest can be used every 24 hours. For those like additional employees or discounts on ingredients, you may need to take them in oder. You can take tidy tippers multiple times but I'm not sure if you need to do something special to add extra ranks.

Restaurant Perks

Vampires cheats.

How to Make a Sim a Vampire stats.set_stat commodity_BecomingVampire 2160 will begin the natural conversion process, while traits.equip_trait trait_OccultVampire will make them a vampire immediately. To remove the vampire trait and revert a Sim, use traits.remove_trait trait_OccultVampire . You can use these cheats to convert Sims from the Gallery. Learn to Become a Vampire the normal way .

How to Unlock Vampire Perks stats.set_stat rankedStatistic_Occult_VampireXP 1593 will max out your Vampire Rank and give you 2 Power Points each time you enter the code. Copy it from here and use control+V after opening the cheats panel in-game to paste it repeatedly. You can find more specific vampire cheats on TwistedMexi's wiki. He discovered these and gave me permission to share some of them.

Parenthood Cheats

The Sims 4 Parenthood comes with a new Parenting skill , which can be cheated in with stats.set_skill_level major_parenting X - it's in the major skills list above.

Toddlers , Children , and Teens can have experience in five different character values, which range from -100 to 100 (bad or good). You can set these manually so that when the Sim ages up to adult they will receive reward traits that reflect their morality, manners, etc. They are set with: stats.set_stat lifeskillstatistic_empathy 100 , as an example or stats.set_stat lifeskillstatistic_conflictresolution -100 - here's the full list. Be sure to include a number, based on how full or negative you'd like the experience bars to be:

• Conflict Resolution : stats.set_stat lifeskillstatistic_conflictresolution X
• Emotional Control : stats.set_stat lifeskillstatistic_emotionalcontrol X
• Empathy : stats.set_stat lifeskillstatistic_empathy X
• Manners : stats.set_stat lifeskillstatistic_manners X
• Responsibility : stats.set_stat lifeskillstatistic_responsibility X

Reward Traits for Character Values New character values reward traits are earned when children and teens age up to adults, and can be added or removed from your Sim if you got a bad one. In some cases you can have the good one from one of the five categories, but can't equip the bad at the same time. Traits are added with traits.equip_trait x and removed with traits.remove_trait x. See the linked Character Values guide for information on what each of them do for your Sims. Here's a list of the character values and their trait pairs, along with two examples:

traits.equip_trait lifeskills_goodmanners - adds the Good Manners trait traits.remove_trait lifeskills_uncontrolledemotion - removes the Uncontrolled Emotion trait

The Sims 4 Cats and Dogs Cheats

Cats and Dogs offers a few ways to cheat. For one, you can raise the skills listed above (in-game code of Major_veterinarian and Skill_Dogtraining). You can also cheat to unlock Veterinarian Clinic perks . Here's the full list of codes to unlock them. After enabling testingcheats you'd type bucks.unlock_perk AdditionalVet_1 true to unlock the additional veterinarian. Note the _ as well as spaces between unlock_perk and true.

Veterinarian Perks

Seasons cheats.

The Sims 4 Seasons Expansion Pack does not offer many careers or skills to cheat (only three listed on the Career and Skill Cheats sections) but it's possible to Cheat to change the weather with a mod. You can also eqiup your Sim with the scouting aptitude reward trait and other rewards from the DLC. Click to learn about the new Scouting Career for children and teens.

• StrangerVille

The Sims 4 Strangerville Game Pack only comes with a few cheats, notably the Military Career (above), and the potential to gather some evidence via show hidden objects in buy mode. See the Strangerville Cheats page for more details.

• Island Living Cheats

Ahead of the launch of The Sims 4 Island Living , I published Cheats for Mermaids, Conservationists and Traits in Island Living . This guide will serve to put it all in one place while others are listed elsewhere on the site in their proper categories, as it should be. This pack also added Part Time Jobs, and while they used to be Teen-only you can now take them on as a Young Adult through Elder. Cheating them is pretty easy, they have the prefix PartTime_ so you'd type careers.promote PartTime_Lifeguard to promote your Sim in the Lifeguard job.

• Realm of Magic Cheats

Realm of Magic includes a few cheats unique to that game pack. You can increase Spellcaster Rank , learn spells and potion recipes via buydebug, equip the unique traits from RoM, including Magical Bloodline, and add or remove curses. Here's a rundown on Realm of Magic Cheats which you will likely find helpful.

Credit Where It's Due I've since learned to find cheats myself, but many of these cheats were originally found by TwistedMexi, who is now a modder that is known for his AllCheats and unique build-mode mods. If you want to see more detailed cheats than I have, look here . I won't publish those that players might infrequently use and don't want to put literally every cheat on this page as it's already quite long. Many are intended to be used by developers and can cause issues with gameplay if used irresponsibly.

Nifty Knitting Cheats

There are two major Sims 4 cheats of note for Nifty Knitting, though not enough to bother making a unique page. See my How to Cheat Guide if you don't know how to use them.

First, you can of course cheat to increase the Knitting skill using stats.set_skill_level major_knitting 10 . Additionally, it's possible to get past all the unlocking of CAS parts. See, even with level 10 knitting clothing needs to be added to the wardrobe. You can get around this using CAS.UnlockByTag SP17 . This will allow your Sims to wear any clothing by unlocking them all. As a reminder, you can use bb.ShowHiddenObjects to make build mode items and decorative objects appear in the Build/Buy catalog.

Snowy Escape Cheats

Cottage Living Cheats

If you'd like to use some cheats for Cottage Living click the link. It will take you to where you can learn how to get all the animal treats for golden chickens, upgrade your animal buildings to self-clean, or even put every single piece of animal clothing in your Sim's inventory!

If You Cannot Get Cheats to Work

Many cheats require testing cheats to work. Ensure you've done testingcheats on first. This mainly works from the live/build/buy modes of the game as many do not work on the map. You should pause it by pressing tilde (`) or clicking the pause icon, and when the time comes will need to first press and hold the left CTRL key, then Shift, then C in that order, without letting go of any of the keys, to open the console in the first place. This should be a fluid motion and not too slow. Secondly, cheats must be typed exactly. You can get some help with testingcheats by following this link .

I can’t get the Reduce pet stress one to work. What can I do?

The Cheat means pets don't get stressed as fast during treatments not that there will be no stress. So using the cheat unlocks a perk for the Vet Sim which will make it so they can treat a pet for longer before the pets stress kicks in.

Every one of Sims 4's expansions and packs brings its own set of cheats along with it. Usually, those cheats are tied to the jobs, deaths, and traits that are unique to that expansion or pack. Sadly, those trait cheats aren't always applicable: We've confirmed that the ponies from the Horse Ranch expansion can't be afflicted with vampirism. Safe to assume For Rent expansion landlords will qualify, though, if you're in the mood to make metaphors literal. No word on whether or not Crystal Creations comes with a free incense burner, though.

We've organized the page to make it easy to find tables for all the skills, careers, and traits you might need to max out your Sim's level in. With a handy Ctrl+F, you can search the page for the name of the expansion or pack you're wanting to find cheats for.

How to turn cheats on in Sims 4

To enable Sims 4 cheats, press Ctrl + Shift + C while in game to open the cheat console. Type your chosen cheat codes into the text field that opens and press enter.

For cheats marked as "shift click," you'll first need to type " testingCheats true " into the cheat menu. With testing cheats on, you can unlock some new Shift-Click menu options on Sims, objects, or the ground.

With testingCheats active, you'll be able to move Sims between families, fill up their needs and happiness bars, dirty or clean up objects, and teleport Sims anywhere you like, among a few others detailed below.

Sims 4 Money cheat

Spending all your money on groceries and bills is too much like real life. Why make your Sims start at the bottom when it's way more fun to start at the top? Enter any of these Sims 4 money cheat keywords into the cheat console to instantly gain stacks of cash.

November 2023 : So far as I can tell in testing, the autopay bills cheat no longer works, nor can I find recent evidence of it working for others.

Sims 4 Skill Cheats & How to Use Them

There are dozens of skills in The Sims 4 but gaining these can be extremely tedious and honestly take many days out of your sim’s life just to max out a skill. Sometimes as a player you just want to further your storytelling or gain skills without putting in true effort and that’s where sims 4 skill cheats come into play.

There’s no morality in cheating in this game and using any of the cheats that are available to us honestly makes the game more fun and allows you to tell better stories. You can have sims start out their lives with skills so they can get promotions faster, earn more money with things like the painting skill or just be better at social interactions with things like the charisma skill .

How to Enable Cheats

There is actually a system in the game where many cheats require you to enable cheats before they will work properly but this is a very simple process for you to do. The first thing you need to do is open up the cheat dialogue box which is done in one of three ways depending on the device you’re using:

• PC: Ctrl + Shift + C
• Mac: Command + Shift + C
• Console: All Four Triggers

Once you do this the cheat box will open at the top of the screen and this is where you’ll type in testingcheats true and hit enter and when you do this you’ll see the game telling you that cheats are enabled.

When you see this message from the game you’ll be free to use whatever cheats you want to use and they should work most of the time.

All Sims 4 Skill Cheats

There are dozens of different skills for your sims to earn in this game and we get more and more with each piece of DLC that we get access to which means there are constantly new sims 4 skill cheats to learn. Below you’ll find each of the skill cheats for the game and they are going to be in alphabetical order for you to find them easily.

Sims 4 Skill Cheats Explained Individually

Acting skill cheat (get famous).

The acting skill is a skill that came to the game with The Sims 4: Get Famous and lets your sims learn how to act so they can succeed in the acting career . Cheating this skill is super easy and requires you to know the base of the skill which is stats.set_skill_level Major_Acting X with the X acting as a placeholder for whatever level of the skill you want your sim to have.

Acting is a major skill in the game and this means that filling the X with the number 10 would max out your sim’s skill. The acting skill cheat would look like stats.set_skill_level Major_Acting 10 and would immediately max out the skill. You have the option to use other skill levels too like getting level 3 of the skill would look like this stats.set_skill_level Major_Acting 3.

Archaeology Skill Cheat (Jungle Adventure)

The archaeology skill is one of those weird ones that you’ll probably not use a ton but is a fun addition to the game. It came to The Sims with The Sims 4: Jungle Adventure and will let your sims do a lot in the world of Selvodorada.

Using the archaeology skill cheat is extremely simple and requires you to remember the base of the skill stats.set_skill_level Major_Archaeology X with the X acting as a placeholder for whatever level from one to ten of the skill that your sim would like to have.

For example, if you want your sim to max the skill you’d use stats.set_skill_level Major_Archaeology 10 but if you want your sim to have level 5 of the skill you’d want to us stats.set_skill_level Major_Archaeology 5.

Baking Skill Cheat (Get to Work)

We were given the ability to bake things like breadsticks and cupcakes with The Sims 4: Get to Work when we finally got a baking skill in the game. This skill is annoying to earn because to truly explore it you have to have space for the awful cupcake machine so cheating this skill is fair game.

The base of the baking skill cheat is stats.set_skill_level Major_Baking X with the X acting as a placeholder for you to put whatever level of the skill you want your sim to have.

If you want your sim to get their baking skill maxed out you’d use stats.set_skill_level Major_Baking 10 but if you want them to only get to let’s say level 2 of the skill you’d use stats.set_skill_level Major_Baking 2.

Bowling Skill Cheat (Bowling Night)

Who doesn’t love a good night of bowling? The bowling skill came to the game with The Sims 4: Bowling Night Stuff and allows your sims to show off their prowess at the lanes with their friends.

The bowling skill cheat has a base of stats.set_skill_level Skill_Bowling X with you switching the placeholder X for any level of the skill between 1 and 5 since it is just a minor skill and only has five levels.

If you want your sims to max the skill you’d use stats.set_skill_level Skill_Bowling 5 or swap that 5 out for any number from 1 to 4 for other levels. Such a simple way to become a master bowler.

Charisma Skill Cheat

Our next sims 4 skill cheat comes for the charisma skill which allows your sims to practice speeches in the mirror, slowly get better at socializing and have a better time being romantic with other sims as they earn it.

The charisma skill cheat has a base that is simple to remember which is stats.set_skill_level Major_Charisma X where you’ll fill the X with whatever level of the skill you want your sim to have between one and ten.

For example, a sim who wants to max the skill would use stats.set_skill_level Major_Charisma 10 but a sim who wants to have level 4 of the skill would use stats.set_skill_level Major_Charisma 4.

Comedy Skill Cheat

The comedy skill is a great one to learn in The Sims 4 because it allows your sims to get better at jokes and definitely progress through the entertainer career more quickly. However, gaining comedy is tedious and using the skill cheat makes it so much more fun.

The base of the comedy skill cheat is stats.set_skill_level Major_Comedy X where you’re going to swap the X for whatever level of the comedy skill your sim wants or needs.

For example, a sim who wishes to max the skill would use stats.set_skill_level Major_Comedy 10 but a sim who wants level 5 would use stats.set_skill_level Major_Comedy 5.

Cooking Skill Cheat

If you want to avoid fire in The Sims 4 this may be the most important skill for you to earn as your sims will be constantly using this skill to stay alive. The cooking skill will be a must-know for every sim you play unless you decide to cheat their needs .

The base of this skill is often harder to remember as it says homestyle cooking as a way to differentiate it from the gourmet cooking skill instead of it just being cooking . The base is stats.set_skill_level Major_HomestyleCooking X where you’ll replace the X with the level of the skill you want to have.

For example a sim who wants to complete the cooking skill at the highest level would use stats.set_skill_level Major_HomestyleCooking 10 but if you want level 3 of the skill you’d use stats.set_skill_level Major_HomestyleCooking 3.

Cross Stitching Skill Cheat (Cottage Living)

There are so many wonderful hobby skills for you to play with in The Sims 4 and in 2021 we got The Sims 4: Cottage Living and with that came the cross stitching skill . This skill lets your sims create gorgeous cross stitch designs to decorate their homes with.

The cross-stitching skill cheat lets you skip past the earning of the skill and just be great at it immediately. The base of this skill is stats.set_skill_level Skill_CrossStitch X where you’ll need to replace the X with whatever level of the skill you’d like your sim to have.

There are 5 levels of this skill so you’ll want to use stats.set_skill_level Skill_CrossStitch 5 to max out the skill or stats.set_skill_level Skill_CrossStitch 3 if you want to be somewhere in the middle.

Dancing Skill Cheat (Get Together)

Our next skill came to the game with The Sims 4: Get Together and lets your sims learn the dancing skill . This will let them learn how to be a better dancer and eventually participate in dance battles with friends or foes.

The dancing skill cheat is great because it will let you skip the earning the skill on your own and let you be a great dancer immediately. The base of this skill that you need to know is stats.set_skill_level Minor_Dancing X and you’ll want to replace the X with a number from 1 to 5 depending on what level of the skill you want.

Since this is a minor skill there are only five levels so maxing this skill will have you using stats.set_skill_level Minor_Dancing 5. If you want to get a level 2 of the skill you’ll want to use stats.set_skill_level Minor_Dancing 2 to make that happen.

DJ Mixing Skill Cheat (Get Together)

The DJ Mixing Skill came to the game with The Sims 4: Get Together and lets your sims use a DJ Booth to play some of the best music you’ll ever hear… if they’re good at it!

The DJ Mixing skill cheat is a great one if you want your sims to skip through gaining it. This cheat’s base is stats.set_skill_level Major_DJ X and you’ll fill the X placeholder with whatever level of the skill you’d like to have.

For example if you want to max the skill you’ll want to use stats.set_skill_level Major_DJ 10 but if you want to have level 5 of the skill you’d change it to stats.set_skill_level Major_DJ 5.

Entrepreneur Skill Cheat (High School Years)

With The Sims 4: High School Years we got the awesome entrepreneur skill that allows your sims to have a side hustle, earn more income from it, and even apply to be on Llama’s Lair.

The entrepreneur skill cheat is simple with a base that is stat.set_skill_level adultminor_entrepreneur X where you’ll replace the X with a number between one and five. There are only five levels of the skill to earn, so maxing it will be level 5.

Fabrication Skill Cheat (Eco Lifestyle)

With The Sims 4: Eco Lifestyle you can decorate your entire home with furniture you create with the fabrication skill but earning this skill will take you quite a bit of time unless you decide to cheat it.

The fabrication skill cheat has a base that is stats.set_skill_level AdultMajor_Fabrication X where you’ll want to replace the X with the level of the skill from 1 to 10 that you’d like your selected sim to have.

This means that if you want to max the skill you’ll use stats.set_skill_level AdultMajor_Fabrication 10 but getting to level 5 you would use stats.set_skill_level AdultMajor_Fabrication 5.

Fishing Skill Cheat

Fishing is one of those horribly tedious skills to gain in this game and definitely require you to use skill cheats. Earning this skill on your own requires your sims to stand by a body of water for hours and hours on end and it honestly just isn’t worth it.

The fishing skill cheat is awesome because you can skip the earning of the skill and start catching better fish. The base of this skill cheat you need to know is stats.set_skill_level Major_Fishing X and you’ll replace the X with whatever level of the skill you’d like to have from level 1 to 10.

For example, if you want to max the skill out you’ll use stats.set_skill_level Major_Fishing 10 or if you want level 5 of the skill you’ll use stats.set_skill_level Major_Fishing 5.

Fitness Skill Cheat

Exercising in real life is hard enough, why do it in your favourite game? Working out on treadmills and exercise machines is such a boring way to spend your relaxing game time so using cheats is the way to go!

The fitness skill cheat is a great way to avoid any use of exercise equipment so you can get those athlete career promotions. The base of this cheat you need to know is stats.set_skill_level Skill_Fitness X where you fill the X with whatever level of the skill you’d like to have.

For example, wanting to max the skill would have you using stats.set_skill_level Skill_Fitness 10 or if you want to get something like level 7 of the skill you’d throw in stats.set_skill_level Skill_Fitness 7 to the cheat box.

Flower Arranging Skill Cheat (Seasons)

Flower arranging is such a beautiful skill in The Sims 4 since you can decorate with fresh flowers, use them to earn an income and even use the flower arranging death type .

The flower arranging skill cheat is a great way to skip past the effort and be great at this skill really quick. The base of this cheat is stats.set_skill_level statistic_skill_AdultMajor_FlowerArranging X with the X being a placeholder for whatever level of the skill you’d like to have between 1 and 10.

For example, to max the skill you’d want to use stats.set_skill_level statistic_skill_AdultMajor_FlowerArranging 10 and you’ll max it out. Wanting a level like level 7 would require you to have stats.set_skill_level statistic_skill_AdultMajor_FlowerArranging 7.

Gardening Skill Cheat

One of the most commonly gained skills in The Sims 4 is the gardening skill but it’s a rather complicated one that can benefit from using a skill cheat. You can really make money with gardening but it requires you to work very hard and cheating is just easier!

The gardening skill cheat has a base that is stats.set_skill_level Major_Gardening X with the X being a placeholder for the level of the skill you’d like your sim to have between level 1 and level 10.

If you want to have your sim completely max out the skill they’d use stats.set_skill_level Major_Gardening 10 but if you want your sim to get to level 4 of the skill you’l use stats.set_skill_level Major_Gardening 4.

Gourmet Cooking Skill Cheat

Gourmet cooking is a second stage of cooking that your sims can start learning about in the game and is the key to being able to resurrect your sim’s from death with ambrosia . Cheating this skill is a must-do if a sim dies unexpectedly!

The gourmet cooking skill cheat starts with the base of stats.set_skill_level major_gourmetcooking X where you’ll want to replace that X placeholder with a level of the skill between 1 and 10.

For an example, you’d use stats.set_skill_level Major_GourmetCooking 10 to max out the skill completely or use stats.set_skill_level Major_GourmetCooking 3 to get to level 3 of the skill.

Guitar Skill Cheat

Playing music with your sim’s guitar skill is a great way to keep your sims having fun and even get them to earn an income through licensing songs and earning royalties. You really don’t want to listen to your sim’s play the guitar poorly, so cheating this skill is a necessity to save your ears.

The guitar skill cheat has a base of stats.set_skill_level Major_Guitar X where you’ll use X as a placeholder and you’ll fill that X with whatever level of the skill you’d like your sims to have.

For example, you’ll want to use stats.set_skill_level Major_Guitar 10 to max out the skill but if you just want to get to level 5 of the skill where it starts to sound better you’ll want to use stats.set_skill_level Major_Guitar 5.

Handiness Sims 4 Skill Cheats

Your handiness skill in The Sims 4 is the key to having tons of positive moodlets through upgrading your appliances and even your sim’s bed. Gaining this skill takes a lot of effort and a lot of money wasted on horrible woodworking, so why not cheat it?

The base of the handiness skill cheat looks like this stats.set_skill_level Major_Handiness X where the X is a placeholder that you’ll replace with whatever level of the handiness skill you want your sim to have between one and ten.

For example, maxing out this skill looks like this stats.set_skill_level Major_Handiness 10 but getting to level 4 would look like this stats.set_skill_level Major_Handiness 4.

Herbalism Skill Cheat (Outdoor Retreat)

The herbalism skill is one of those ones that’s super fun to play with but I often forget that it even exists. You can do a lot with it so why not use the herbalism skill cheat to get yourself higher in the skill!

The base of this skill cheat looks like stats.set_skill_level Major_Herbalism X with the X being a placeholder where you’ll replace it with any level of the skill between one and ten.

For example if you want your sim to max out the skill you’ll use stats.set_skill_level Major_Herbalism 10 and if you want to be somewhere in the middle you may use stats.set_skill_level Major_Herbalism 6.

Juice Fizzing Skill Cheat (Eco Lifestyle)

Juice fizzing came to the game with The Sims 4: Eco Lifestyle and lets your sims turn ingredients into delicious beverages for your sims to consume.

The base of this skill cheat is stats.set_skill_level AdultMinor_JuiceFizzing X where you’ll replace the X with a number between one and five depending on what level of the skill cheat you’d like to have.

Knitting Skill Cheat (Nifty Knitting)

Nifty knitting was a fan-voted stuff pack and brought a lot of really fun gameplay to The Sims 4. The knitting skill lets your sims play around and make things like sweaters, toys and home decor for your sim’s home.

The base of the knitting skill cheat is stats.set_skill_level AdultMajor_knitting X where you’ll just want to replace the X with a level of the skill you’d like to have.

Logic Sims 4 Skill Cheats

Every single player has had to earn the logic skill at some point in their gameplay and many of us are sick of having to gain it again and again. This is why this skill cheat is so necessary in my gameplay.

The base of the logic skill cheat is going to be stats.set_skill_level Major_Logic X where you’re just going to swap out the X for a number between one and ten for whatever level you want.

Media Production Skill Cheat (Get Famous)

Media production is a skill that came to the game with The Sims 4: Get Famous and lets you create music and videos for an income.

The base of this media production skill cheat is stats.set_skill_level Minor_Media X where you’d just want to switch the X for a number between one and five.

Medium Skill Cheat (Paranormal)

The medium skill came to The Sims 4 with Paranormal Stuff and is an extremely fun skill for us to play around with. Your sims are able to play around with ghosts, host seances and just have a great time in haunted houses.

The base of the medium skill cheat is going to be stats.set_skill_level minor_medium X where you’ll want to replace the X with a number between one and five since there are only five levels of this skill.

Mischief Skill Cheat

Mischief is a really fun skill for your sims to earn and you can even have your sims play around with a voodoo doll. Your evil or mean sims are going to absolutely love playing around with this mischief skill and will love it even more when they can have a high skill.

Your mischief skill cheat is simple with the base of the skill being stats.set_skill_level major_bartending X where you swap the X for a number between one and ten.

Mixology Skill Cheat

Your sims are able to do a lot with the mixology skill including making fun drinks and even being able to kill sims with beetle juice. It’s one of those not necessary skills but a really fun one to earn.

The base of the mixology skill cheat is stats.set_skill_level major_bartending X which is interesting because it’s not mixology but bartending, so watch out for that. The X at the end is just a placeholder where you’ll swap it for a number between one and ten that corresponds to the level of the skill you’d like your sim to have.

Painting Sims 4 Skill Cheats

The painting skill is one of those ones that we got with the base game, that every player uses and uses often so knowing the sims 4 skill cheats code for this one is super important. The skill is so good for earning money, and decorating your home so a great one to know.

The base of the painting skill cheat is stats.set_skill_level major_painting X where you swap out the X with a number between one and ten.

Parenting Skill Cheat (Parenthood)

Parenting is a great skill to play around with in The Sims 4 if you’re a family gameplay lover. This skill lets you mess around with teaching your kids new things, helping them gain new skills like responsibility and empathy and so much more.

The base of the skill cheat for parenting is stats.set_skill_level major_parenting X where you’ll replace the X with whatever level of the skill you’d like your sim to have from 1 to 10.

Pet Training Skill Cheat (Cats & Dogs)

If you want your sims to have great pets, you’ll want to train them to be well behaved and super smart. The pet training skill is going to let you teach your dogs how to sit, speak and even eventually run an obstacle course.

If you don’t want your sims to have to earn it on their own you can use the pet training skill cheat and be able to skip past the hard parts. The base of this skill is going to be stats.sets_skill_level skill_Dog X where you’ll want to replace the X with a number between one and five depending what level of the skill you want your sim to have.

Photography Sims 4 Skill Cheats

Photography is one of those skills that gets used often in my game because I love having pictures of my sims on the wall. This skill is super fun to play around with, with all the different poses, and fun things you can take photos of.

The base you need to know for the photography skill cheat is stats.set_skill_level major_photography X where you’ll want to swap out the X for a number between one and ten corresponding to whatever level of the skill you’d like to have.

Piano Skill Cheat

The piano skill is a simple one that came with the base game and lets your sims write songs, and even license them to earn an income. This skill can hurt your ears if your sim isn’t very good at playing it, so the skill cheat is a good one to use.

Your base for the piano skill cheat is going to be stats.set_skill_level major_Piano X where you’ll swap the X for a number between 1 and 10 corresponding with whatever level you want your sim to have.

Pipe Organ Skill Cheat (Vampires)

The pipe organ skill is a fun one for your sims to gain, unless they’re really bad at it because it will sound horrible . That’s why sims 4 skill cheats are so necessary because some skills are going to hurt your ears.

The base of the pipe organ skill cheat is stats.set_skill_level major_PipeOrgan X where all you need to do is swap the X for a level of the skill you’d like your sim to have. For example, stats.set_skill_level major_PipeOrgan 3 would give your sim three levels of the skill.

Programming Sims 4 Skill Cheats

Since programming has been in the game since the start, we’ve all played around with it. It’s one of those simple and super fun skills to mess around with and lets your sims earn a decent income through hacking and making apps.

The base of the sims 4 skill cheat for programming is stats.set_skill_level major_programming X where you’d swap out the X at the end for a level between 1 and 10 depending on what level of the skill you want your sim to have. For example, stats.set_skill_level major_programming 10 would max out the skill.

Research & Debate Skill Cheat (Discover University)

If you really want to get an A in University the key to your success will be earning or cheating the research and debate skill . This skill will get your sims to do their homework more quickly, finish papers faster and just generally do better in school so it’s a must have.

The base of the research and debate cheat is stats.set_skill_level Major_ResearchDebate X with the X at the end acting as a placeholder for you to replace with any number of the skill between 1 and 10.

For example, maxing the skill you’d want to use stats.set_skill_level Major_ResearchDebate 10 but if you only want to get to the middle with level five of the skill you’d use stats.set_skill_level Major_ResearchDebate 5.

Robotics Skill Cheat (Discover University)

You can really have fun when playing with the Robotics Skill in the game and you can even craft your own robots. These robots are awesome because they can help your sims by playing music, doing the gardening or even cleaning up after them.

The robotics skill cheat is great because it’ll let you skip past earning the skill and the base of the cheat is stats.set_skill_level major_robotics X but you’ll replace the X with whatever level between one and ten that you want your sims to have.

Rock Climbing Skill Cheat (Snowy Escape)

Our next sims 4 skill cheat that you need to know is for the rock climbing skill where your sims can use the rock climbing machine, climb up a mountain or go on an excursion. This cheat is a must-know because there is a death chance if your sims get injured too much on a climb.

The rock climbing skill cheat is super easy and goes right along with the others with the base being stats.set_skill_level major_rockclimbing X where you’ll replace the X with a number between 1 and 10 depending what level you want of the skill.

Rocket Science Sims 4 Skill Cheats

The rocket science skill came to The Sims 4 with the base game and lets your sims go to planet Sixam, have a grilled cheese sandwich in space and even woohoo inside a rocket ship. Why not let your sims have a rocket ship in their back yard?

The sims 4 skills cheat for rocket science is simple with a base of stats.set_skill_level major_rocketscience X where you’ll replace the X with a number between one and ten corresponding to the level of the skill you want your sim to have. Selvadoradian Culture Skill Cheat (Jungle Adventure)

There are some random skills in The Sims 4 and this one definitely falls into that category for me. This skill focuses your sims on getting to know locals, learning information about the world and more.

Cheating this skill starts with a base of stats.set_skill_level minor_localculture X where you’d replace the X at the end with a number between one and five of the skill that you’d like your sims to have.

With The Sims 4: Snowy Escape your sims are now able to learn how to go play in the snow with the snowboarding skill that allows you to get really good if you have the patience. This skill is annoying to earn most of the time because your sims are going to essentially need to live on the mountain and that’s a big time commitment.

If you want to skip past the effort of earning this skill you can go ahead and use the snowboarding skill cheat instead. This skill cheat has a base of stats.set_skill_level Major_snowboarding X where you’ll want to fill that X location with a number between one and ten depending on what level of the skill you want to have.

For example, if you want to max it you’d have stats.set_skill_level major_snowboarding 10 but if you wanted a level 3 it wold be stats.set_skill_level major_snowboarding 3 to make that happen.

Vampire Lore Skill Cheat (Vampires)

Playing with occults is such a fun way to play the game since it totally changes how your sims behave. Vampires are one of my favourite occults to hangout with and the vampire lore skill makes them super interesting. You definitely need to gain these skill to be able to have strong vampires, so knowing the skill cheat is the way to go.

The base of your vampire lore skill cheat is stats.set_skill_level VampireLore X where you’re going to change out the the X for whatever level of the skill you want to have. There are actually fifteen levels of the skill so you’ll be changing the X for a number between 1 and 15.

Veterinarian Skill Cheat (Cats & Dogs)

When you’re playing the game with Cats and Dogs installed you have the option of running your own vet clinic and taking care of animals. To do a good job in this career you’re going to need to have a high veterinarian skill to make sure that you’re doing your absolute best for the animals.

The base of the vet skill cheat is going to be stats.set_skill_level Major_Vet X where you’d replace the X with whatever level of the skill you’d like for your sims to have. If you want to get level five of the skill you’d want to have the cheat be stats.set_skill_level Major_Vet 5 and it will work.

Video Gaming Skill Cheat

There are a bunch of base game skills that players love and the video gaming skill definitely falls into that category. This skill has your sims being able to play video games, join video gaming tournaments and gain their fun need at the same time. If you really want to win tournaments you may want to use this sims 4 skills cheat just to get yourself further in the skill more quickly.

Your base for the video gaming skill cheat is just like the rest of the base game ones and is stats.set_skill_level major_videogaming X with the X acting as a placeholder. Where the X is you’ll want to add whatever level of the skill between 1 and 10 that you’d like your sims to have.

Violin Sims 4 Skill Cheats

A nice skill that comes with the base game of The Sims 4 is the violin skill where your sims can get really good at playing this beautiful instrument. However, when you first start the skill the noise is bad because your sims are not good at playing quite yet so using skill cheats is a great way to make the noise better.

The base of the violin skill cheat is stats.set_skill_level Major_Violin X where you’ll put a number between one and ten in place of the X at the end. This is going to depend on what level of the skill you want your sims to have. For example, if you want to get level five you’d want to use stats.set_skill_level Major_Violin 5 and that’ll work.

Wellness Skill Cheat (Spa Day)

The wellness skill came to the game with The Sims 4: Spa Day and lets your sims try things like yoga and meditation. Using the wellness option for sims 4 skill cheats is great if you want your sims to immediately get good at these tasks without having to do a ton of the work.

Isn’t it wild that we didn’t get the toddler life stage in the game for years!? I still can’t believe it. Thankfully, when toddlers were added to the game they were amazing and they have five skills that your sims can earn which means you also have five sims 4 skill cheats to learn for toddlers.

The thing about toddler skills is that they don’t go to level ten like many of the skills for children or adults, these either go to five or go to three. The communication skill helps teach your toddlers how to talk and how to advocate for themselves. The base of this skill is going to be stats.set_skill_level Skill_Toddler_Communication X where you’ll swap the X for a number between one and five corresponding to whatever level you’d like your sim to have.

For example, if you want your sim to have level 4 of the creativity skill you’d want to use stats.set_skill_level skill_child_creativity 4 and then you’d hit enter.

Sims 4 Skill Cheats for Creativity

If you want your sims to do well with creative skills like the painting skill when your sims are older you’ll want them to get a high creativity skill before they age up so they can start with skills as a teenager. When you’re playing and don’t want to earn the skill by playing the violin or drawing pictures, you can use the sims 4 skill cheats for creativity.

This skill cheat has a base of stats.set_skill_level skill_child_creativity X where you’d want to fill the X spot with whatever level of the skill you’d like for your sims to have. Then you’ll be able to draw new pictures on the activity table, or finish off the creative kid’s aspiration.

If you’re playing on PC or Mac you have the option to add mods and custom content to your game which allows you to customize your game. There are a bunch of awesome cheat mods that can let you go ahead and cheat things with just a few clicks instead of having to remember these awfully long sims 4 skill cheats.

There are two absolutely incredible mods that you may want to download for this, and both are constantly updated and let you cheat so many things other than just skills.

1. UI Cheats Extension

The first option for mods to cheat your sims 4 skill cheats is UI Cheats Extension which is the easiest one to use. With this one you can open up the skills menu in the bottom right corner and just click on the skill that you’d like to cheat and a box will open letting you choose a level of the skill you’d like to have.

2. MC Command Center

How to Find Sims 4 Lost Homework: What To Do When Homework is Missing

Oh no, your sim’s homework is not in their inventory! Here’s how to quickly fix the sims 4 missing homework glitch.

What to do if you lost homework in Sims 4?

There are really only two things you can do if your sim’s homework is lost: you can look for it by checking all the places missing homework usually ends up or you can buy new homework.

If you need more help than that, you’ll find it all in this post!

First, I’ll go over the best places to find lost homework then I’ll show you all the easy ways you buy new homework (university homework included!)

Places to Check for Sims 4 Missing Homework

The most obvious explanation is that it’s somewhere in or around your sim’s home.

Check all around your lot for the lost homework. Child sims love to stop doing their homework and leave it randomly in the middle of the floor!

If your sim was doing homework at a community lot , it’s likely they set it down and it’s somewhere around there.

If your sim tries to leave the community lot without bringing their homework, usually you’ll get a notification that it’s been returned to their inventory when your sim gets back home.

I know I already told you to look around your sim’s lot, but just in case you didn’t already, check any bookshelves around the house . It may have been put away in there.

And lastly, if your sim’s homework isn’t in their inventory, maybe it’s in someone else’s.

View the inventory of all the sims in your household to check that the lost homework wasn’t stolen!

How to Buy Homework in Sims 4

If you can’t find your sim’s homework notebook, there are 4 ways to buy new homework in Sims 4: bookshelf, computer, university kiosk, or build mode by unlocking hidden objects .

I’ll take you through how to buy new homework using each of these methods.

And in case you were worried, it doesn’t affect your sim’s homework completion level if they lose it and have to buy new. Your sim’s homework will still be listed as complete if they had completed it before it went missing!

To buy homework using a bookshelf, click ‘ purchase books ‘ and then select ‘ homework books ‘ from the drop-down categories.

This will allow you to buy all the possible homework types in Sims 4 including:

• grade school homework
• homework (high school)
• university homework
• soccer team playbook
• teacher’s padfolio of student homework

Prices vary, but high school, university, and grade school homework is 1 simoleon.

Keep in mind that when you buy homework with the bookshelf, the new homework will be on the bookshelf.

After buying, you need to open the bookshelf and place it in your sim’s inventory.

To buy homework in sims 4 using the computer, you’ll follow almost exactly the same steps you did when buying with the bookshelf.

I have a mod in my game that makes the computer setup more organized, so my sim’s computer menu looks different. (You can find it at #32 on my list of must-have sims 4 mods !✨)

But all you have to do is find the ‘ purchase books ‘ option and then select ‘ homework books ‘ from the drop-down categories, just like you did with the bookshelf.

This time, the new homework will be put directly into your sim’s inventory!

If your sim is in college and lost their homework, you can buy new university homework at the kiosk located on campus in either Britechester or Foxbury.

Just find the kiosk and click ‘ buy university items ‘.

Then you’ll want to click on the book icon labeled ‘ academics ‘ to narrow the items down even further.

You can find the university homework by scrolling all the way down. Just buy it and it will appear in your sim’s inventory!

And finally, you can easily buy homework in build mode by unlocking all hidden objects using cheats.

If you don’t know how to do that, here’s my easy step-by-step guide on how to unlock hidden all items in build mode .

Once unlocked, search for homework in build mode and place it somewhere on your sim’s lot.

Then have your sim put it into their inventory by clicking on the homework or simply dragging it directly into their inventory!

T he Sims 4 Satisfaction Point cheats are used to artificially boost your Sim's Satisfaction Points . Satisfaction Points refer to a clever little system that rewards players for engaging in activities that stimulate the Sim in question. In a normal, unmodified game, these Points are racked up fulfilling your Sim's "Aspirations", denoted by a series of four tiers.

Completing these tiers will generate Sims 4 Satisfaction Points which accumulate over time - albeit at quite a slow pace. Using cheats is a great way to bypass this limitation and hasten the process.

How to enable cheats in the Sims 4

To enable cheats in The Sims 4 , (and thereby access all sorts of unique hacks) you will have to follow the steps below:

• Enter the cheat console for your particular platform of choice.
• A white console-like drop-down menu should appear.
• Type in " testingcheats true " and hit the confirm/Enter key/button to proceed.
• Cheats will now be enabled and accessible.
• Disable cheats using the " testingcheats false " parameter if required.

The button combinations required to access the cheat console across all major platforms are as follows:

• PC : Control + Shift + C
• Mac : Command + Shift + C
• Xbox : LT + RT + LB + RB
• PlayStation : L1 + R1 + L2 + R2

How to enable Sims 4 Satisfaction Point cheats

Generating the Sims 4 Satisfaction Point cheat is rather straightforward. To generate a set number of Points, simply type in " sims.give_satisfaction_points [X] " to the cheat console, where X denotes the points you wish to add. Hit Enter/confirm and proceed.

What can you do with Satisfaction Points in The Sims 4?

Satisfaction Points are mostly used to redeem a set of in-game items in The Sims 4. These can be accessed via the "Reward Store", and include both Potions and Traits that cost Points to purchase. Potions can be used instantly, while Traits confer certain characteristics that enhance and/or add unique mannerisms to a Sim.

For example, the Frugal and Observant Traits enable your Sim to reduce bills by 25% and learn Traits from other Sims respectively, and are quite useful to have during the late game.

This naturally extends into Expansion Packs, which also add a set of Potions and Traits of their own. However, these are otherwise inaccessible - unless you purchase the said DLC pack first.
