You can use the homework calendar template as is or you can edit it to suit your needs. Add your list of assignments below. Add each assignment to the calendar on the due date. This is a blank calendar that you can use for any month.

If you select the Excel version, then there is a dropdown list to select the subject, priority, and status. You can edit the list of subjects under the “subjects” tab. Each subject is automatically assigned a color code . All assignments that are due the next day are colored red. Assignments due that week are orange and those that are due that month are yellow.

This homework tracker can track your homework assignments, the subjects, due dates, and the status of each assignment. There is a dropdown list to select the subject and each subject will be marked with a different color. To change the list of subjects, go to the subject tab and list each subject. The priority can be either urgent, high, normal, or low. The status is either “to do” or “done”. You can change the priority or the status in the tabs.

Assignment Tracker

This Excel spreadsheet keeps track of assignments, who is responsible for each, and when each assignment is due. The color of each assignment changes according to the due date. When the assignment is due it will turn yellow. You can also open this spreadsheet on Google Sheets.

What is a homework planner?

This is a planner to track your homework and assignments to ensure that you prepare and submit everything on time. An assignment planner can keep track of all your assignments and is a great tool for priority management. However, if you have other obligations such as tests, social and family gatherings, etc, it might be better to prepare a planner that takes all your obligations into account. If you have a family gathering the day before a test, then you will know you will need to start studying one day earlier than you would have. If you don’t keep track of deadlines and everything you need to do, you might find yourself stressed or too late to get everything done. Planning will take the stress out of school and help you be more productive and organized.

How to use an assignment tracker?

Learning how to manage your time is an essential skill that will be needed later on in life as well. Time management is something that sets efficient people apart from those who do not manage their time well and get little done or even fall apart when stressed. Our job as parents is to give our children the skills and tools to manage their time well and get things done, even when they have a lot on their plate.

Start helping your kids to get organized when they are young. Help them write their assignments in their planner. Help them organize their time and schedule. The younger they are, the less they have on their plate. This is the time to help them acquire the skills they will need when they are older and obligations start to become more overwhelming. Remind your kids to review their planner regularly until it becomes a habit. By the time they are older, in high school or college, they will be able to manage their time efficiently.

It isn’t enough to write assignments and homework in a planner when you receive them. In order for a planner to be efficient, you will need to review it regularly. Start a daily habit where you check your homework calendar daily to see what needs to be done. This should be part of your child’s daily routine. If it isn’t feasible to check daily, then it should happen at least once or twice a week. If that doesn’t work, then try setting reminders on your phone.

How to make a homework planner?

Choose whether you want a weekly assignment planner or a daily or monthly planner. Whatever works for you. Scan the templates on this page and see which one you think will be the most helpful. If you like it as-is then download the PDF version. If you prefer to edit it to meet your specific needs then select the Microsoft Word version and edit as you please. Make it work for you.

Im a first year college student and this app is very helpful when it comes to organizing my school work. It allows you to add your classes and homework assignments and even allows you to set a reminder to make sure things are done on time and shows you all your completed work.

However, there is a tool that can be quite helpful – A printable homework planner! You’ll find a few different styles below.

Weekly homework planners

These free printables will help students plan and track all their assignments for each day of the week.

They can write down the class, a description of the homework assignment, and when it’s due. Once it’s completed it, check “done” and move on to the next!

I have a tutorial on customizing printables like this on my Printable Tags and Labels post .
I created a slightly offset printable with each sheet...the left margin is larger for hole punching. Use a standard three-hole punch with these to keep them in a binder.

My kids carry those larger, fabric binders (they come with a shoulder strap) to all of their classes. They also keep all of their homework and assignments in these binders. I designed this student planner printable set to be kept inside a binder like that, since they're the go-to for most students these days. However, a traditional three-ring binder would work, too.
This is the exact binder both of my boys used last year. It's from Amazon. Again, we like the strap feature on it.

Now that you have a rough idea of what you’re looking for in a digital planner, it’s time to get down to business. The following list is curated based on our own personal testing, reviews, and what others have found useful in tackling their ADHD challenges.

As it’s in the name, Todoist is one of the most popular to-do list apps that helps you stay focused and improves your productivity. Todoist comes with a clean interface and allows users to manage their tasks, plan activities, set priorities, add reminders, create custom labels, manage projects, and more. While some features are premium only, the free plan gives you enough room to enjoy the app.

In terms of features, Todoist doesn’t have anything “ Special ” at least in the free plan and that’s not a bad thing. The app does what it’s intended to do and doesn’t constantly prompt you to Upgrade to Premium with every feature you click. A few thoughtful additions include integration with Google Calendar , allowing tasks to sync automatically, and Project templates to help you stay organized.

There aren’t many negatives with the Todoist app; it’s excellent for anyone with ADHD or as a standalone organizational tool. While the premium plan offers additional features, it mainly builds on the basics, so if you can’t afford it, you won’t miss out on anything substantial. Todoist also has its own YouTube channel to help users get acquainted with everything.

Pros: User-friendly interface, plenty of features, no hidden payments.
Cons: Not entirely free.

Any.do is a to-do list app like Todoist but with a much more modern and fluid design . The app offers pretty much everything you would need to create your daily plan. From an intuitive dashboard to adding notes to grocery lists and a calendar to keep an eye out for what’s next. With the free plan, you do get all the basics but the premium plan does offer a few advanced features, especially the addition of AI .

One standout feature is the Moment option, which presents all your current tasks and helps you plan them effectively. You can assign each task to Today, move it to Later, or choose to delete or mark it as complete. Apart from that, you also have the integration capability with Google and Microsoft Calendar and the ability to add notes and even attachments under your tasks.

Overall, Any.do performs well, and its extremely smooth UI enhances the user experience. However, unlike Todoist, Any.do places a stronger emphasis on upgrading to Premium . The premium plan offers several valuable features, including AI-generated tasks and subtasks, the ability to add team or family members, customized themes, and more.

Google Calendar might have slipped under your radar, but if you’re looking for a tool to manage everyday tasks, plan events, handle meetings, and provide a simple scheduling solution, there’s no reason not to include Google Calendar in your list.

A wonderful app

Very helpful app I was needing something to help me with my daughter’s homework my daughter is horrible on taking notes in school. And if I have notes to see the task I’m good at figuring it out how to do the rest so I tried this help because I couldn’t find anything online to help me. So when this can’t up I was like why not. And I was glad I did it tells u how to solve it. And I could figure out the rest by their help. The only thing I would like if they make another app or add on this this one for younger kids. I know a couple of parents that also need help with there kid’s homework (how to help there child I don’t do it for my kids do there homework but I have to explain it to them sometimes and for that I need to refresh my mind as will) and this is a great app for that just hope they for something god younger students grades 2nd to 5th graders would help parents a lot.

Great App / One Major Issue

I love this app. Its saved me multiple times on upcoming tests, and the great thing about it is it thoroughly goes through the topic step-by-step making sure you understand how the AI got to the solution. All that to be said, I really wish there was a feature to edit the text that was scanned in the picture. I think its already an intended design because theres text displayed saying if you’d made typos heres the time to fix it, but it doesn't work. Tapping on the screen doesn't do anything. You can copy and paste the text but theres no way to edit it where the users keyboard opens. This is a 10/10 if I could edit the prompt.
