• Business/Mayor's Permit (for the current year)
• POID of the authorized signatory as the applicant
• Corporate Secretary's Certificate stating the applicant as the authorized signatory for the company

Alternative POB Documents:

• Barangay Business Clearance which should specify the business name and the name of the business owner who is also the Home Biz Plan subscriber/applicant. A business name that states only the name of the owner/subscriber is not acceptable.
• Photo of the home-based business establishment/set-up
• The company information should be under the business name of the applicant.
• PRC License/ID under the name of the subscriber (must be a clear copy of the front and back portion of the PRC ID)
• The company information should be under the individual name of the applicant.

As of late 2022, PLDT has a total fiber footprint of around 1.091 kilometers. That’s 231,000 kilometers of international line and 860,000 kilometers of domestic fiber.

The PLDT Fiber Biz Plans is the new name for the KaAsenso plans made for those who are running small businesses at home, work from home, and other users who rely on reliable internet access to make money.

The PLDT MyOwnWiFi plans is literally a backup WiFi that you can get along with your primary Fiber plan. This is great if you want a separate connection from your family or roommates to be used for work, school, or other purposes.

PLDT is offering a variety of add-ons that you can pair with your Fiber plan. There are mesh WiFi systems to end dead spots in your home, subscription to select streaming services, and more.

All you need is to bring one (1) of any of the accepted valid IDs below:

How to apply for PLDT Fiber

There are two ways you can apply for a PLDT Fiber subscription: first, there’s the online method, which is more convenient as you can complete the process at the comfort of your home or anywhere you are. Alternatively, you can do it physically by going to your nearest PLDT branch and have a representative assist you through the whole process.

Step 1: Visit the PLDT Fiber website here: https://pldthome.com/fiber

Step 2: Choose if you’re living in a house/apartment or condominium. Then, type your address to check if PLDT is available in your area.

Step 3: A virtual map will pop-out where you have to use the red pin to point to your exact location. Once done, click “Check Serviceability.”

Step 4: You should see a confirmation that PLDT is available in your area (or not). Hit “Continue” to proceed with the application.

Step 5: Type in your complete your address.

Step 6: Key in the personal details required.

Step 7: Type the one-time password (OTP) sent to you via text message.

Step 8: After that, input the OTP sent via email.

Step 9: Tick all the checkboxes and click continue to proceed.

Step 10: Finalize the process and wait for the service representatives to install your PLDT Fiber internet connection .

Step 1: Book an appointment on any PLDT branch through their website .

Step 3: Prepare at least 1 valid ID (see accepted IDs below) and proceed to your chosen PLDT branch on the scheduled date. Approach a PLDT representative to assist you on your application.

Just like all postpaid plans from any telcos in the Philippines, a PLDT Fiber internet subscription comes with a 24-month or 2-year lock-in period.

PLDT Fiber plans are subject to 30% minimum speed (of the plan you’re subscribed to) at 80% service reliability.

A PLDT Home Fiber subscription comes with an installation and modem fee of Php3,600 . Subscribers have the option to pay it in full upfront, or make staggered payments of Php100 per month for 36 months, which will be automatically added to your monthly bill.

Meanwhile, PLDT Fiber Biz subscription comes with free installation.

PLDT considers sale, REIT listing of its $1 B data center business

PLDT Inc., the country’s largest telecommunications firm, is considering the sale or the real estate investment truest (REIT) listing of its data center business which it values at more than $1 billion. 

In an interview, PLDT Chairman and CEO Manuel V. Pangilinan said “the valuation we're getting is likely to be north of $1 billion. I think we're going to sell but nothing has been decided… the strategic question do we sell 49 percent, 40 percent, 61 percent, 60 percent of the data center?”

“Obviously, if we sell control, the data center will get more money and more premium, right? That's just how it is. So the question to PLDT is do we keep control of what we regard to be a strategic asset for the group? 

Because one of the major pillars of (PLDT) Enterprise and ePLDT would be data centers, he noted adding that, in the meantime, they continue to expand and accelerate the development of the data centers. 

Pangilinan said that, “If we cannot get the values (we want) from equity investors, if we decide to keep control of our own destiny, we might go for a REIT in data centers. So don't be surprised if we go for that.”

This way, he said “PLDT will still get the value that's close enough to the value we want, which is north of a billion dollars. So we have more flexibility, certainly, because we can retain control of the operations of the data center and we have the majority of the equity interest in the data centers.”

ePLDT, the ICT subsidiary of the PLDT group, established VITRO Inc., the data center arm of the PLDT Group, to ensure a deliberate focus on digital infrastructure build and to further accelerate the growth of its data center business which ended the quarter strong with over 5,600 data center racks and an occupancy rate in excess of 70 percent.

The construction of VITRO Sta. Rosa (VSR), its largest and most advanced facility to date, remains on track to go live in July, activating an initial 10MW of IT power. With its aggressive data center builds, VITRO is poised to double its facility capacity to 99.5MW once VSR is fully operational.

Moreover, PLDT Global also spearheads the group's international sales and go-to- market programs for enterprise connectivity, messaging, and data center solutions. It targets and expands key industry segments such as Hyperscalers, Content Network Delivery Aggregators, Global Enterprises, Carriers, and Service Providers.
