PhD Lean Degree Stimulant Free

PRODUCT REVIEW: PhD Lean Degree Stimulant Free Review.

This is an in-depth PhD Lean Degree Stimulant Free review.

Many fat burners have recently started to use stimulant-free formulas. Their goal? To provide you with the same (or even better) benefits of stimulants – but without the common side effects like anxiety and insomnia. So far, some have succeeded at it, while some haven’t.

PhD Lean Degree Stimulant Free, as the name suggests, belongs to the new generation of stimulant-free fat burners. It boasts a huge formula with 17 ingredients. It’s vegan-friendly and GMO-free. Great on the first glance, but once you look closer, you’ll notice some flaws. Ingredients with a lack of clinical evidence, potential side effects, and more…

But is it the right fat burner for you?

Pros and Cons

PhD Lean Degree Stimulant Free is made as an alternative to stimulant-based fat burners. It’s supposed to help you shred a lean physique but without any side effects. Sounds too good to be true? It might be. Their formula doesn’t look potent enough to provide any huge results.

Ingredients with fancy names aside, the lack of scientific evidence and side effects of certain compounds in this fat burner all point that Lean Degree may not be as good as some people hyped it up to be.

  • Chromium, cinnamon, and Jerusalem artichoke help stabilize your blood sugar
  • Phaseolus Vulgaris and Forskolin are good alternatives to stimulants like caffeine, although not as potent for fat loss
  • Vegan-friendly formula
  • Ineffective formula – too many ingredients with very little scientific evidence proving their effects on fat loss
  • Missing green tea extract, which is a key ingredient in fat burners
  • Doesn’t have any proven appetite suppressants
  • Hibiscus powder is known to be toxic at higher doses

Who Makes Lean Degree Stimulant Free

Lean Degree Stimulant Free is produced by PhD Nutrition. The company was established back in 2006 by two fitness enthusiasts from Yorkshire, England – Jason Rickaby and Mark Bowering. Since their humble beginnings, the company has grown and now sells products all around the world. PhD Nutrition prides themselves on their „innovation, great taste, honesty, and results-driven mentality.“

But can their stimulant-free fat burner, Lean Degree, give you the results you want?

Let’s find out!

PhD Lean Degree Stimulant Free isn’t clear on the benefits it offers. The site vaguely mentions how it contains vitamin B5 that helps reduce fatigue, as well as chromium that helps support blood sugar levels. And that’s about it.

This begs the question, are those the only benefits you’ll gain from this fat burner?

phd lean degree review

Ingredients

To answer the question of whether Lean Degree will help you lose weight, we should take a closer look at the ingredients. Let’s just say you’re in for a surprise.

As soon as you look ‘under the hood’, you’ll notice there are painfully many ingredients listed on the label. Many of them sound exotic but don’t have the evidence to back up their benefits.

This is supposed to be a stimulant-free formula that works just as well as its competitors with caffeine. But is this actually the case?

See for yourself:

Chromium picolinate.

Chromium is a trace mineral which helps your body metabolize certain macronutrients. It also helps regulate your blood glucose levels. (4)

Hibiscus Powder

Hibiscus powder is an ingredient thought to promote fat loss by blocking carbohydrate absorption, but studies still aren’t clear on this. What’s worse, Hibiscus is shown to be toxic at higher doses – PhD Lean Degree uses 500mg per serving. (1)

Acetyl L-Carnitine

Acetyl L-Carnitine is an antioxidant that can cross the blood-brain barrier. While it’s a great general health ingredient, it doesn’t help you cut fat according to science. Even its general health benefits are brought into question since PhD Lean Degree only contains 400mg per daily serving, and the optimal dosage is at least 630mg. (5)

Salvia Miltiorrhiza

Salvia Miltiorrhiza is an ancient Chinese herb that supports heart health. While it may be great for your cardiovascular system, this ingredient has no use when it comes to burning fat. (6)

Alpha Lipoic Acid

Alpha Lipoic Acid or simply ALA is shown to help diabetics with blood sugar control. Will it help you burn fat though? We’re afraid not.

Jerusalem Artichoke

Jerusalem artichoke is a root vegetable native to North America. It has a wide range of health benefits, from improved digestion to reduced inflammation. It contains inulin, a type of fiber that helps balance your blood sugar levels. (7) This can indirectly help with fat loss but the effects are relatively weak.

Tyrosine is an amino acid that helps your brain create more dopamine. This helps improve focus and cognitive performance under stress. For example, it can help you push a little harder in your workouts. No direct fat loss benefits though. (8)

Pomegranate Extract

There are many positive rumors surrounding Pomegranate and its health benefits. It’s thought to be excellent for reducing high blood pressure, improving recovery after exercise, and helping with chronic lung conditions. But according to WebMD, „there is no good scientific evidence to support these uses.“ (2)

Sesame Seed Oil

The sesame seed oil has a variety of benefits, but no, none of them are related to weight loss. It does have some weak effects on blood sugar, but the studies that tested this only examined the effects of this ingredient on diabetics. We don’t know if this ingredient has any effect on blood sugar levels of non-diabetic individuals.

L-Arabinose

L-Arabinose may improve metabolic health, but not metabolic speed. It seems like this is yet another ingredient in PhD Lean Degree that’s included just for show.

Our Choice:

Top 3 Fat Burners That Actually Work

Phaseolus Vulgaris

We’re sure you’ll be as glad as we were when we saw this ingredient. Phaseolus Vulgaris or common bean is one of the only ingredients in PhD Lean Degree that actually has some decent scientific evidence confirming its fat loss benefits. While the effects aren’t huge, the studies were done on humans, not animals, which confirms its benefits for us.  (3)

Beta Sitosterol

If you’re a male, beta sitosterol can help improve your prostate health. It reduces inflammation and is shown to reduce the occurrence of benign prostatic hyperplasia. (9) You must be wondering what about the fat loss benefits – the answer is, there are none! Not that it’s surprising at this point anymore.

Coleus Forskohlii Extract

Coleus Forskohlii, or simply Forskolin, has many health benefits. You wouldn’t believe it, but one of them is in fact, fat loss. (10) It isn’t overly potent but it’s great to see it included here.

Cinnamon Extract

Cinnamon helps regulate your blood sugar after meals. However, PhD Lean Degree uses a cheap version of cinnamon which is known to put a strain on the liver. Especially since it’s concentrated in high amounts as an extract. Ceylon cinnamon would be a much safer option here. (11)

Phosphatidyl Serine

Phosphatidylserine (PS) is a phospholipid. Your brain cells are partially made from it. Taking it can help improve your mental performance. (12) This sounds awesome until you look at the dosage, which is only 24mg per daily serving. You need at least 100-200mg per day to experience any mental benefits. Not that it matters anyways since it isn’t a weight loss ingredient.

Pantothenic Acid

Pantothenic Acid or vitamin B5 helps reduce fatigue and tiredness. It can help fuel your workouts, indirectly helping with fat loss. But you’ll have to do a lot of work on your part for it to have any significant effect.

Dandelion Root

Dandelion works similarly to diuretics – it makes your body lose water. Don’t let this fool you though. Besides potentially making you dehydrated, dandelion won’t help you cut back fat. (13)

How to Take (Dosage)

On the producer’s website, they say you should take 2 capsules of Lean Degree, 3 times per day. This totals 6 capsules per day which isn’t a small number. You can take it with water or juice, ideally before each of your main meals. Also, you can safely take it close to bedtime as it has no stimulants that will keep you awake.

Side Effects

Since there are no stimulants in PhD Lean Degree, there’s a reduced risk of side effects. But there is one ingredient that raises concerns – Hibiscus powder. Some animal studies show that it’s toxic when taken in higher doses. Lean Degree boasts a hefty dose of Hibiscus; 500mg per serving.

Will it cause side effects in humans? No one really knows.

A 90-capsule bottle of Lean Degree will cost you £15.99 or $20. If you take 6 capsules per day as per recommendations, Lean Degree will only last you 15 days. Granted, it’s not an expensive product so you can always buy it in bulk. In fact, if you buy 2 bottles, you get free shipping and, only on certain occasions, 40% off the price.

Customer Reviews

Reviews on phd lean degree are mixed..

One Amazon customer enthusiastically claimed: „Love the PhD line anyway but didn’t realise how good their fat burners are! Don’t leave you feeling tired afterwards and gives you no shaking overwhelming feelings but gives a good boost of energy!“

Other customers like Carol Dunnill claim that the product not only didn’t work for them but also produced side effects. Carol said: „I don’t seem to have lost any weight while taking these and they have been a bit harsh on my stomach making me feel unwell. Maybe they work for some people but not for me.“

So, is PhD Lean Degree Stimulant Free the right fat burner for you?

In truth, it’s a disappointing product. A lack of proven ingredients was the first red flag. The second red flag was Hibiscus powder which is essentially a toxin at higher doses.

We understand that PhD Lean Degree wanted this product to be an effective and safe alternative to stimulant-based fat burners. Did they succeed at it? Perhaps to a degree – there are a few ingredients that may help you lose weight.

With that said, we think there are better options out there, such as stimulant-free fat burners that are actually proven to work and have no side effects.

Checked out the ingredient list - has quite some caffeine in it. It might help with fat loss, but I would not use it, since stimulants will be counterproductive on the long run. Therefore, better consider something different, like Cardarine GW - it is not based on stims, and yet it is very effective for fat loss without any side effects at all. Unlike stims, it will be beneficial on the long run.

Don't expect miracles. It's just a caffeine, ALA and l-carnitine supplement caffeine - potent appetite suppressant but doesn't burn fat ALA - good antioxidant and if used in high dosages, can increase muscle insulin sensitivity, but again doesn't burn fat Carnitine - L-carnitine is synthesized in the body from the amino acids lysine and methionine. It transfers long-chain fatty acids into the mitochondria where they may be oxidized to produce energy. As great as that sounds, supplemental L-carnitine doesn't do a whole lot because your body can efficiently already create it's own. Supplementing with it certainly won't hurt but don't expect miracles. If you do decide to supplement with Carnitine , use the acetyl-l-carnitine version as it is the most bioavailable. Don't expect miracles. The best supplement you can take for fat loss is cardarine -> http://www.evolutionary.org/cardarine/

Steve nailed it. The real way to lose fat is diet and exercise. Unless you are in a caloric deficit every single day, no drug or supplement is going to do anything for you.

Formulas behind new Lean Degree duo, PhD Nutrition separate their sequels from the original

Details on PhD Nutrition's two new Lean Degrees Maximum Strength and Stimulant Free

Late last week PhD Nutrition announced the coming of two new variants of their fat burner Lean Degree , simply titled Lean Degree Maximum Strength, and Lean Degree Stimulant Free. As promised the supplements have made their way out rather quickly confirming their contents and major differences compared to the original. Basically both the Maximum Strength and Stimulant Free editions are completely separate weight loss formulas compared to the regular Lean Degree. Maximum Strength has carried over five of the first Lean Degree’s eight ingredients, making up less than half of the new product which also introduces the likes of citrus aurantium, green coffee bean, and BioPerine. As for the Stimulant Free version it has carried over four of the original Lean Degree’s features, making up less than a quarter of the stimulantless supplement which introduces coleus forskohlii, sesamin, chromium picolinate, salvia, and pomegranate extract. The new products may share the Lean Degree name, but have enough separating from the first edition to be given their own titles. If you would like to find out a little more on the two fat burners they can be found and purchased on PhD’s official website , and are expected to be hitting retailers soon.

I trust PhD

Been using PhD for years. At times I’d try other brands when it was hard to find PhD in Dubai, but eventually I gave up on trying anything else (luckily there are now services available for orders to the UAE from any part of the world). I trust the quality of PhD. I normally order proteins, BCAA, intra BCAA, lean degree and pre-workouts. All are great. I also tried Mind capsules and they did work for me. Customer service team (recent chat with Johnathan specifically) is always super helpful

100 Capsules Phd Lean Degree (Maximum Strength) Product Information

Product Overview

  • Our strongest fat burning formulation ever
  • Contains green coffee bean and green tea extracts
  • Also contains black pepper and cayenne pepper extracts
  • High caffeine to help improve focus

PhD Nutrition have re-formulated Lean Degree to create our strongest fat burning solution ever. Lean Degree® Maximum Strength is a potent weight management formula, created with specific ingredients that are renowned for their thermogenic effectiveness. This powerful combination ensures that your weight loss potential is maximised, to help you achieve your lean body goals.

Lean Degree 'Maximum Strength' contains:

Caffeine: caffeine is a stimulant and has been shown to potentially increase physical performance and maximise endurance capacity. A great ingredient to include in a fat loss and energy plan.

L-Tyrosine: Sometimes called 4-Hydroxyphenylalanine, L-Tyrosine is one of 22 amino acids used to synthesize protein. It is a popular amino acid in a variety of popular weight loss formulas.

Green tea extract: Green tea extract is a herbal derivative from green tea leaves. Green tea extract contains catechins or green tea catechins, which have been used by health conscious individuals for many years for their potential antioxidant effect.

Green coffee bean extract: Coffee beans are roasted to give them their distinctive dark colour and rich flavour, whereas green coffee beans are raw and unroasted. Green coffee beans contain a variety of potentially healthy components, including chlorogenic acids and related compounds, which have antioxidant and other protective effects on cell functions, as well as regulating effects on body fat metabolism.

Alpha Lipoic Acid: Alpha lipoic acid (ALA) is a vitamin-like antioxidant, sometimes referred to as the “universal anti-oxidant” because it is soluble in both fat and water.

Dandelion root: Dandelion root is a popular herb used in a variety of weight loss formulas. Dandelion is also a rich source of vitamins and minerals. The leaves have a high content of vitamin A as well as moderate amounts of vitamin D, vitamin C, various B vitamins, iron, silicon, magnesium, zinc, and manganese.

L-Carnitine:. L-Carnitine is made in the body from other amino acids, and is needed to release energy from fat. It transports fatty acids into mitochondria, the powerhouses of cells.

  • Men and women following a weight management nutritional plan.
  • Serious athletes preparing for a body building or cover model competition
  • Casual gym goers seeking an improvement in muscle definition

Olympic Breakdancer Raygun Has PhD in Breakdancing?

Rachael gunn earned a zero in breakdancing at the paris 2024 olympic games., aleksandra wrona, published aug. 13, 2024.

Mixture

About this rating

Gunn's Ph.D. thesis, titled "Deterritorializing Gender in Sydney's Breakdancing Scene: a B-girl's Experience of B-boying," did cover the topic of breakdancing. However ...

... Gunn earned her Ph.D. in cultural studies. Moreover, a "PhD in breakdancing" does not exist as an academic discipline.

On Aug. 10, 2024, a rumor spread on social media that Rachael Gunn (also known as "Raygun"), an Australian breakdancer who competed in the 2024 Paris Olympics, had a Ph.D. in breakdancing. "This australian breakdancer has a PhD in breakdancing and dance culture and was a ballroom dancer before taking up breaking. I don't even know what to say," one X post on the topic read .

"Australian Olympic breakdancer Rachael Gunn has a PhD in breakdancing and dance culture," one X user wrote , while another asked, "Who did we send? Raygun, a 36-year-old full-time lecturer at Sydney's Macquarie University, completed a PhD in breaking culture and is a lecturer in media, creative arts, literature and language," another X user wrote .

The claim also spread on other social media platforms, such as Reddit and Instagram .

"Is she the best break dancer? No. But I have so much respect for going on an international stage to do something you love even if you're not very skilled at it," one Instagram user commented , adding that, "And, I'm pretty sure she's using this as a research endeavor and will be writing about all our reactions to her performance. Can't wait to read it!"

In short, Gunn's Ph.D. thesis, titled "Deterritorializing Gender in Sydney's Breakdancing Scene: A B-girl's Experience of B-boying," indeed focused on the topic of breakdancing. However, Gunn earned her Ph.D. in cultural studies, not in breakdancing. Furthermore, it's important to note that a "PhD in breakdancing" does not exist as an academic discipline.

Since Gunn's research focused on the breakdancing community, but her degree is actually in the broader field of cultural studies, we have rated this claim as a "Mixture" of truths.

Gunn "secured Australia's first ever Olympic spot in the B-Girl competition at Paris 2024 by winning the QMS Oceania Championships in Sydney, NSW, Australia," the Olympics official website informed .

Gunn earned a zero in breakdancing at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games and clips of her routine went viral on social media, with numerous users creating memes or mocking dancer's moves. "As well as criticising her attire, social media users mocked the Australian's routine as she bounced around on stage like a kangaroo and stood on her head at times," BBC article on the topic read .

The website of the Macquarie University informed Gunn "is an interdisciplinary and practice-based researcher interested in the cultural politics of breaking" and holds a Ph.D. in cultural studies, as well as a bachelor of arts degree (Hons) in contemporary music:

Rachael Gunn is an interdisciplinary and practice-based researcher interested in the cultural politics of breaking. She holds a PhD in Cultural Studies (2017) and a BA (Hons) in Contemporary Music (2009) from Macquarie University. Her work draws on cultural theory, dance studies, popular music studies, media, and ethnography. Rachael is a practising breaker and goes by the name of 'Raygun'. She was the Australian Breaking Association top ranked bgirl in 2020 and 2021, and represented Australia at the World Breaking Championships in Paris in 2021, in Seoul in 2022, and in Leuven (Belgium) in 2023. She won the Oceania Breaking Championships in 2023.

Gunn's biography further revealed that she is a member of the Macquarie University Performance and Expertise Reasearch Centre, and has a range of teaching experience at undergraduate and postgraduate levels "across the areas of media, creative industries, music, dance, cultural studies, and work-integrated learning."

Moreover, it informed her research interests included, "Breaking, street dance, and hip-hop culture; youth cultures/scenes; constructions of the dancing body; politics of gender and gender performance; ethnography; the methodological dynamics between theory and practice."

Gunn earned her Ph.D. from the Department of Media, Music, Communications, and Cultural Studies within the Faculty of Arts at Macquarie University. Below, you can find the abstract of her paper, shared by the official website of Macquarie University:

This thesis critically interrogates how masculinist practices of breakdancing offers a site for the transgression of gendered norms. Drawing on my own experiences as a female within the male-dominated breakdancing scene in Sydney, first as a spectator, then as an active crew member, this thesis questions why so few female participants engage in this creative space, and how breakdancing might be the space to displace and deterritorialise gender. I use analytic autoetthnography and interviews with scene members in collaboration with theoretical frameworks offered by Deleuze and Guttari, Butler, Bourdieu and other feminist and post-structuralist philosophers, to critically examine how the capacities of bodies are constituted and shaped in Sydney's breakdancing scene, and to also locate the potentiality for moments of transgression. In other words, I conceptualize the breaking body as not a 'body' constituted through regulations and assumptions, but as an assemblage open to new rhizomatic connections. Breaking is a space that embraces difference, whereby the rituals of the dance not only augment its capacity to deterritorialize the body, but also facilitate new possibilities for performativities beyond the confines of dominant modes of thought and normative gender construction. Consequently, this thesis attempts to contribute to what I perceive as a significant gap in scholarship on hip-hop, breakdancing, and autoethnographic explorations of Deleuze-Guattarian theory.

The Australian Professor Who Turned Breaking on Its Head

Rachael Gunn, known as B-girl Raygun, displayed some … unique moves as she competed in a field with breakers half her age. The judges and the internet were underwhelmed.

Reporting from Paris

Breaking made its debut as an Olympic sport Friday, and among the competitors was Dr. Rachael Gunn, also known as B-girl Raygun, a 36-year-old professor from Sydney, Australia, who stood out in just about every way.

By day, her research interests include “dance, gender politics, and the dynamics between theoretical and practical methodologies.” But on the world’s stage in Paris, wearing green track pants and a green polo shirt instead of the street-style outfits of her much younger fellow breakers, she competed against the 21-year-old Logan Edra of the United States, known as Logistx.

During the round robin, as Raygun and Logistx faced off, Raygun laid on her side, reached for her toes, spun around, and threw in a kangaroo hop — a nod to her homeland. She performed a move that looked something like swimming and another that could best be described as duckwalking. The high-speed back and head spins that other breakers would demonstrate were mostly absent.

The crowd cheered Raygun politely. The judges weren’t as kind. All nine voted for Logistx in both rounds of the competition; Logistx won, 18-0.

Online, Raygun’s performance quickly became a sensation, not necessarily in a flattering way.

“The more I watch the videos of Raygun, the Aussie breaker, the more I get annoyed,” one viewer posted on X, formerly known as Twitter. “There’s 27.7 million Australians in the world and that’s who they send to the Olympics for this inaugural event??? C’mon now!”
