Popular courses:, nalsar: 1 answered question, does the fee structure change according to marks in nalsar or ay nlu.

The fee structure which has been implemented at DS NLU is the same for everyone except for the students who are admitted into the institution based on various quotas like NRIs, Vacancies, Upgradation, and the other ones which are applicable at the institution.

My friend is currently pursuing a course at DS NLU so I have a brief idea about the fee structure there. The marks that you scored in your sessional or semester examinations of your respective course would not have any impact on the fees chargeable by the institute. The fee depends on the quota through which you get admission to the institution.

If you belong to the general category and are domicile of India, then the fee which will be charged from you would be the same just like everyone else from your category for a specific course. I believe that a similar structure is followed throughout all the institutions that come under NLU.

Amid the ongoing tension in and around Hyderabad following the attack on Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy’s residence at Kondapur on Thursday (September 12, 2024), Telangana Director General of Police (DGP) Jitender held a conference with the Commissioners of Police of Hyderabad, Cyberabad and Rachakonda.

The police chief declared ‘zero tolerance’ against individuals instigating the crowd following the political fiasco between the two MLAs.

“There should not be any compromise on law and order situation in tri-commissionerates. Anyone trying to disturb peace should be dealt with strictly as per law. There shall be zero tolerance against people trying to disturb the situation in Hyderabad and Telangana,” an official statement from the DGP said.

Two FIRs booked after row at Keshampet police station

Following the tension in Keshampet on Thursday (September 12, 2024) night, the police have registered two First Information Reports (FIRs). About 30-40 BRS supporters and followers who gathered in Keshampet to block the police vehicle conveying senior BRS leaders including Siddipet MLA T. Harish Rao were booked on charges of unlawful assembly, obstruction to lawful apprehension and damaging property among others. The police are still in the process of identifying others involved through video footage of the incident, Shamshabad DCP B. Rajesh said.

According to the official, the police was moving 30-40 MLCs and MLAs who were detained for their involvement in a protest in the Cyberabad Commissionerate on Thursday evening.

Meanwhile, following BRS leaders’ call for a meeting at Serilingampally MLA Arekapudi Gandhi’s residence in Kukatpally, police have strengthened security to prevent the same. Several BRS leaders were put under house arrest while others were served summon notices under Section 35 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS).

Jamaica’s Prime Minister Andrew Holness has officially earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Law and Policy, making him the first sitting Jamaican Prime Minister to achieve such a feat while in office.

The news was confirmed by Nationwide News.

Holness pursued his doctoral studies at Northeastern University in Boston, with his thesis focusing on the impact of U.S. gun laws on violence in Jamaican society. His research explored the factors contributing to the rise of violence, including loose firearm regulations and active participation in the illegal arms trade.

Express-Coach-display-ad_728x90

Holness is set to graduate in June of next year.

The Prime Minister confirmed that he started his studies shortly after the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, which began in December 2019.

He referred to it as a lifelong achievement. This doctorate adds to a growing list of academic accolades, solidifying his commitment to both education and public service.

This latest milestone follows Holness’ honorary Doctoral Degree of Humane Letters , which was conferred on him by Delaware State University in May. Holness also delivered the commencement address to the graduates, marking the first time a head of government had done so in the university’s 132-year history.

Reflecting on his own educational journey, Holness recalled the struggles he faced when attending the University of the West Indies, Mona, at age 19. “I went to university on an adventure,” he said, sharing how he relied on student loans, part-time work, and the sacrifices of his parents, a civil servant and a small farmer, to finance his education.

Prime Minister Holness’ academic journey began at St. Catherine High School, where he served as both the head boy of the school and valedictorian. He later earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Studies and a Master of Science degree in Development Studies, cementing his lifelong dedication to learning.
