विराम का अर्थ, ठहराव या रुकना जिस तरह हम काम करते समय बीच–बीच में रुकते और फिर आगे बढ़ते हैं, वैसे ही लेखक में भी विराम की आवश्यकता होती है, अत: पाठक के मनोविज्ञान को ध्यान में रखते हुए भाषा में विरामो का उपयोग आवश्यक है। श्री कामता प्रसाद गुरु जी ने विराम चिन्हों को अंग्रेजी से लिया हुआ मानते हैं। वे पूर्ण विराम को छोड़ शेष सभी विराम चिन्हों को अंग्रेजी से सम्बृद करते हैं।

निबंध (Essays) लिखना हर किसी के बस की बात नहीं होती। अधिकांश छात्रों को लिखना शुरू करने में कठिनाई होती है। निबंधों को आसान बनाया जा सकता है यदि छात्र या तो विचार-मंथन के माध्यम से विषय के बारे में सोचना शुरू कर दें या उन्हें एक कागज़ की शीट पर रख दें। विचारों को प्राप्त करने के बाद, उन्हें यह जानना होगा कि निबंध बनाने के लिए उन्हें कैसे व्यवस्थित किया जाए। इसके लिए उन्हें विभिन्न विषयों पर निबंधों का अभ्यास करना होगा। यहां, हमने विभिन्न विषयों पर निबंधों की एक सूची तैयार की है।

एक अच्छे निबंध के लक्षण (Characteristics of a Good Essays)

एक विशेष विषय पर एक से अधिक पैराग्राफ वाली रचना एक निबंध होती है। और एक अच्छे निबंध की विशेषताएं हैं –

Proportion – इसमें महत्वपूर्ण विचारों को अधिक स्थान दें।
Relevance – इसमें महत्वहीन और बिना काम की जानकारी शामिल नहीं की जानी चाहिए।
Unity – निबंध को मुख्य विषय से संबंधित होना चाहिए, और उसके सभी भागों को उस विषय से स्पष्ट रूप से जोड़ा जाना चाहिए।
Coherence – विचार का तार्किक क्रम होना चाहिए। इसके लिए विचारों, वाक्यों और अनुच्छेदों के बीच तार्किक संबंध की आवश्यकता होती है।

निबंध के प्रकार (Types of Essays)

निबंध मुख्य रूप से किसी के विचारों को व्यक्त करने के तरीके हैं। निबंध अलग-अलग होते हैं, कि कोई व्यक्तिगत अनुभव कैसे बताता है, किसी मुद्दे का वर्णन या व्याख्या करता है, या पाठक को एक निश्चित दृष्टिकोण को स्वीकार करने के लिए मनाता है। इसलिए, निबंधों को मुख्य रूप से चार प्रमुख प्रकारों में वर्गीकृत किया गया है, जैसा कि नीचे बताया गया है –

कथा निबंध (Narrative Essays) : एक कहानी सुनाना

एक कथा निबंध लिखते समय, छात्रों को इस विषय पर ऐसे विचार करना चाहिए जैसे कि कोई एक कहानी कह रहा हो। इन निबंधों के माध्यम से वे स्वयं को रचनात्मक तरीके से अभिव्यक्त कर सकते हैं। ये निबंध आमतौर पर first person में लिखे जाते हैं, ताकि पाठकों को आकर्षित किया जा सके।

वर्णनात्मक निबंध (Descriptive Essays) : शब्दों के साथ चित्र बनाना

एक वर्णनात्मक निबंध में, छात्रों को शब्दों के साथ एक चित्र बनाना होता है। उन्हें कुछ वर्णन करना होगा। यह कोई वस्तु, व्यक्ति, स्थान, अनुभव, भावना, स्थिति या कुछ भी हो सकता है। ये निबंध छात्रों को कलात्मक स्वतंत्रता का एक बड़ा सौदा करने की अनुमति देते हैं।

प्रेरक निबंध (Persuasive Essays) : मुझे समझाएं

एक प्रेरक निबंध वह है जिसमें एक लेखक पाठक को उसके दृष्टिकोण को स्वीकार करने के लिए मनाने की कोशिश करता है। यह तर्क के सभी पक्षों को प्रस्तुत करता है, लेकिन लेखक की व्यक्तिगत राय को भी स्पष्ट रूप से संप्रेषित करता है।

एक्सपोजिटरी निबंध ( Expository Essays ) : तथ्यों की प्रस्तुति

एक एक्सपोजिटरी निबंध लेखन का एक सूचनात्मक टुकड़ा है, जो किसी विषय का संतुलित विश्लेषण प्रस्तुत करता है। एक अच्छा व्याख्यात्मक निबंध लिखने के लिए, छात्रों को विषय की जांच करने, साक्ष्य का मूल्यांकन करने, विचार व्यक्त करने और स्पष्ट और संक्षिप्त रूप से एक तर्क निर्धारित करने की आवश्यकता होती है। यह तुलना और इसके विपरीत, परिभाषा, उदाहरण, कारण और प्रभाव का विश्लेषण आदि द्वारा किया जा सकता है।

#short essay: हमारा प्रिय कवि : तुलसीदास.

प्रस्तावना : भारत महानताओं का देश है। कोई क्षेत्र ऐसा नहीं, जहाँ हमारी कीर्ति की पताका न फहरायी हो। चाहे वह क्षेत्र वीरता का रहा हो या साहित्य का। यहाँ यदि महाराणा प्रताप, सुभाषचंद्र बोस तथा अब्दुल हमीद जैसे वीर पैदा हुए हैं। तो साहित्य के क्षेत्र में रवींद्रनाथ ठाकुर, प्रेमचंद, सूर, कबीर और तुलसी जैसे महान् लेखकों और कवियों ने जन्म लिया। साहित्यकारों में मुझे सबसे अधिक प्रेरणा महात्मा तुलसीदास से मिली है।

जीवन-वृत्त : कहा जाता है कि तुलसीदास को जन्म देते ही इनकी माता हुलसी की मृत्यु हो गयी थी। इनके पिता आत्माराम दुबे ने इन्हें घर से निकाल दिया। उन्होंने कहा कि ‘इसके नक्षत्र परिवार एवं गाँव वालों के लिए अमंगलकारी हैं। यह जहाँ भी रहेगा, नाश ही उपस्थित करेगा।’ घर की दासी ने इनका लालन-पालन किया। जन्म के समय वे रोये नहीं थे, अपितु उन्होंने अपने मुख से ‘राम’ शब्द का उच्चारण किया था। इस आधार पर इनका नाम ‘रामबोला’ रख दिया गया।

बड़ा होने पर इनका विवाह रत्नावली से हुआ। वे उसकी सुंदरता पर अत्यधिक मोहित थे। एक दिन रत्नावली अपने मायके चली गयी। इस पर वे उसके लिए बेचैन हो उठे और आँधी, वर्षा तथा रात्रि की परवाह न करते हुए रत्नावली के पास जा पहुँचे। रत्ना ने मधुर फटकार दी। मगर तुलसीदास के मन में उनके शब्द गढ़ गए।

सब कुछ त्यागकर वे घर से निकल पड़े। स्वामी नरहरिदास के संपर्क से इन्हें ज्ञान की प्राप्ति हुई और उन्होंने ‘रामचरितमानस’ की रचना की। बनारस के पंडों ने इस ग्रंथ का घोर विरोध किया। उन्होंने तुलसीदास जी को जान से मार डालने के लिए गुंडे लगवाए। मगर वे सफल न हो सके। धीरे-धीरे तुलसीदास का यश फैलता चला गया। उनकी राम-कथा को सुनने के लिए लोग दूर-दूर से आते थे।

उपसंहार : तुलसीदास जी ने अपने जीवनकाल में अनेक ग्रंथों की रचना की। इनमें विनयपत्रिका, कवितावली, गीतावली तथा रामचरितमानस अत्यधिक प्रसिद्ध ग्रंथ हैं। तुलसीदास के महान् ग्रंथ रामचरितमानस को तो घर-घर में प्रतिष्ठा प्राप्त है। जब तक भारत में हिंदू-धर्म जीवित रहेगा, तुलसीदास का नाम अमर रहेगा।

#short Essay: राष्ट्रपिता महात्मा गांधी

प्रस्तावना : भारतभूमि पर जब-जब भी विपत्ति आयी, तब-तब यहाँ, किसी-न-किसी महान् विभूति का उदय हुआ। भारत के राष्ट्रपिता महात्मा गांधी भी उन्हीं विभूतियों में से एक हैं। यह उसी संत की तपस्या का एवं साधना का प्रतिफल है कि हम आज स्वतंत्र भारत में साँस ले रहे हैं।

जीवन-परिचय : राष्ट्रपिता महात्मा गांधी का जन्म 2 अक्टूबर सन् 1869 को गुजरात राज्य के पोरबंदर नामक नगर में हुआ। गांधी जी के पिता का नाम करमचंद गांधी था। वे राजकोट रियासत में दीवान थे। गांधी जी की माता का नाम पुतलीबाई था। वह धर्मपरायण महिला थीं। गांधी जी पर प्रारंभ से ही सत्यता और कर्त्तव्यपरायणता का प्रभाव पड़ा।

गांधी जी की प्रारंभिक शिक्षा गुजरात में हुई। अपने बचपन में उन्होंने मातृ-पितृ भक्त श्रवणकुमार’ एवं ‘सत्य हरिश्चंद्र’ नाटक पढ़े।

वे उनसे बहुत अधिक प्रभावित हुए। तभी से उन्होंने माता-पिता की सेवा एवं सत्य को अपनाने का व्रत ले लिया। अठारह वर्ष की आयु में गांधी जी ने हाईस्कूल की परीक्षा उत्तीर्ण की और वे वकालत की शिक्षा के लिए इंग्लैंड गए। वकालत की शिक्षा पूरी करके वे स्वदेश लौटे। एक मुकदमे के सिलसिले में उन्हें दक्षिण अफ्रीका जाने का अवसर प्राप्त हुआ। वहाँ पर आंदोलन आरंभ कर दिया। उन्हें अनेक समस्याओं का सामना करना पड़ा। अंत में वे प्रवासी भारतीयों को गोरों के अत्याचारों से मुक्ति दिलाने में सफल हुए।

राजनीति में प्रवेश : जब गांधी जी अफ्रीका से लौटे, उससे पूर्व ही देश में स्वतंत्रता आंदोलन आरंभ हो चुका था। गांधी जी ने अफ्रीका में पर्याप्त ख्याति प्राप्त की थी। इस कारण भारतवासियों ने उनका भव्य स्वागत किया। उन्होंने देश की स्वतंत्रता की बागडोर उनके हाथों में सौंप दी। गांधी जी ने पूर्ण विश्वास के साथ स्वतंत्रता-आंदोलन का संचालन किया। उनके नेतृत्व में ब्रिटिश सत्ता के विरोध में बड़े-बड़े आंदोलन चलाए गए। गांधी जी ने सभी आंदोलन अहिंसात्मक रूप से चलाए। उनके इन्हीं सिद्धांतों पर अंग्रेजों को झुकना पड़ा। उनके अथक् प्रयासों के बाद 15 अगस्त सन् 1947 को देश स्वतंत्र हुआ।

अपने चारित्रिक गुणों के बल पर महात्मा गांधी विश्व में प्रसिद्ध हुए। वे केवल राजनीतिज्ञ ही नहीं थे। वे आध्यात्मिक एवं सामाजिक नेता भी थे। जीवनभर वे अछूतों के उद्धार, विदेशी वस्तुओं के परित्याग, चर्खा आंदोलन, सत्याग्रह जैसे महान् कार्यों में लगे रहे।

स्वर्गवास : देश को स्वतंत्र हुए एक वर्ष भी नहीं हुआ था। 30 जनवरी 1948 का दिन था। शाम के समय जब गांधी जी अपने सहयोगियों के साथ प्रार्थना-स्थल पर जा रहे थे, तभी नाथूराम गोडसे नाम के व्यक्ति ने उन पर रिवाल्वर से गोलियां चला दीं। स्वतंत्रता के अग्रणी दूत गांधी जी हमसे हमेशा के लिए विदा हो गए। उपसंहार : गांधी जी इस युग के सबसे महान् युग-पुरूष थे।

उन्होंने भारतवासियों को जाग्रत किया। उन्हें आत्मसम्मान की शिक्षा दी। हमें सत्य और अहिसा के मार्ग पर चलकर देश को विकास की ओर अग्रसर करना होगा। यही उनके प्रति सच्ची श्रद्धांजलि होगी।

प्रस्तावना : भारत के लाल जवाहरलाल से संपूर्ण विश्व परिचित है। उनका जन्म 14 नवंबर सन् 1889 में इलाहाबाद के आनंदभवन में हुआ। नेहरू जी के पिता पंडित मोतीलाल नेहरू उस समय के प्रसिद्ध वकील थे। उनकी माता जी का नाम स्वरूपरानी था। वे नेहरू जी को असीम प्यार करती थीं। नेहरू जी के परिवार पर लक्ष्मी की महान् कृपा थी। इसलिए नेहरू जी का लालन-पालन राजकुमारों के समान हुआ। उनकी आरंभिक शिक्षा मौलवी, पंडित एवं एक अंग्रेज पादरी की देख-रेख में घर पर ही हुई।

पंडित जवाहरलाल नेहरू ने उच्च शिक्षा इंग्लैंड से प्राप्त की। लंदन के हैरो एवं कैम्ब्रिज विश्वविद्यालयों में अपनी शिक्षा पूर्ण कर के वे सन् 1912 में बैरिस्टर बनकर स्वदेश लौटे। राजनीति में प्रवेश : सन् 1916 में नेहरू जी का विवाह कमलादेवी के साथ हुआ। कमलादेवी देशभक्त महिला थीं। लंदन से लौटने के बाद से ही नेहरू जी राजनीति की ओर खिंचते गए। सन् 1920 में गांधी जी ने असहयोग आंदोलन आरंभ किया। नेहरू जी भी उसमें सम्मिलित हुए। फलस्वरूप उन्हें बंदी बना लिया गया।

सन् 1929 में उन्हें काँग्रेस का अध्यक्ष चुना गया। उस समय उन्होंने रावी नदी के तट पर पूर्ण स्वराज्य प्राप्त करने की प्रतिज्ञा की। तभी से वे भारतीय जनता के हृदय-सम्राट् बन गए। नेहरू जी ने अनेक बार जेल-यात्राएँ की। उन्होंने अपने जीवन के चौदह वर्ष जेलों में व्यतीत किए।

स्वतंत्रता आंदोलन के बीच में ही उनकी पत्नी कमला नेहरू बीमार पड़ गयीं। परंतु कमला जी को बचाया नहीं जा सका। वहीं पर उनकी मृत्यु हो गयी। वे अपनी एकमात्र संतान इंदिरा को लंदन के एक स्कूल में दाखिला दिलाकर भारत लौट आए। वे फिर से देश-सेवा के काम में लग गए।

प्रधानमंत्री के रूप में : 15 अगस्त 1947 को देश स्वतंत्र हुआ। देश में नये सूर्य का उदय हुआ। जनता ने दीप जलाकर खुशियाँ मनायीं। पंडित जवाहरलाल नेहरू को देश का प्रधानमंत्री बनाया गया। वे लगातार सत्तरह वर्ष तक देश के प्रधानमंत्री रहे। उनके कार्यकाल में भारत ने विभिन्न क्षेत्रों में उन्नति की।

उपसंहार : नेहरू जी सदैव विश्व-शांति के समर्थक रहे। हमारा देश आज भी पंडित जी के बताये मार्ग पर अग्रसर है। 27 मई सन् 1964 को अचानक इस महान् पुरुष का निधन हो गया। उनके प्रति हमारी सच्ची श्रद्धांजलि यही होगी कि हम उनके बताए हुए मार्ग पर चलें और अपने देश को विश्व में श्रेष्ठ बनाएँ।

#Short Essay: देश के प्रिय नेता राजीव गांधी

प्रस्तावना : स्वर्गीय राजीव गांधी विश्वप्रसिद्ध नेता थे। वे आज हमारे बीच नहीं हैं। उन्होंने अपने कार्यों के द्वारा थोड़े समय में ही बड़ी ख्याति अर्जित की। श्रीमती इंदिरा गांधी की मृत्यु के बाद राजीव गांधी के कंधों पर प्रधानमंत्री पद का भार आया। उनके लिए यह बड़ी मुश्किल का समय था। तब वे न हँस सकते थे, न खुश हो सकते थे और न ही रो सकते थे। एक ओर विशाल देश के प्रधानमंत्री का पद था तो दूसरी ओर माँ की अकाल मृत्यु का दु:ख। ऐसे समय में उन्होंने बड़े धैर्य, साहस एवं संयम का परिचय दिया।

जीवन-परिचय : राजीव गांधी का जनम 20 अगस्त 1944 को बंबई में हुआ। उनकी माता का नाम श्रीमती इंदिरा गांधी एवं पिता का नाम श्री फिरोज गांधी था। इंदिरा गांधी ने राजनीति में रहते हुए माँ का पूर्ण दायित्व निभाया। देश की आजादी के बाद पंडित जवाहरलाल नेहरू ने प्रधानमंत्री पद संभाला। तब राजीव गांधी अपनी माता के साथ दिल्ली में रहे। उनके पिता फिरोज गांधी लखनऊ से बराबर उनके पास आते रहते थे।

राजीव गांधी ने किण्डर गार्टन के बाद दून स्कूल से आई. एस. सी. की परीक्षा उत्तीर्ण की। उसके बाद उन्होंने इंग्लैंड के कैम्ब्रिज विश्वविद्यालय में प्रवेश लिया। वहाँ पर उन्होंने तकनीकी शिक्षा भी प्राप्त की। स्वदेश लौटकर उन्होंने दिल्ली फ्लाइंग क्लब की सदस्यता ग्रहण की। विमान-चालक का काम सीखने के बाद राजीव गांधी विमान-चालक बन गए।

राजनीति में प्रवेश : अपने छोटे भाई संजय गांधी की असामयिक मृत्यु के बाद राजीव गांधी राजनीति में आए। सन् 1981 के चुनाव में वे पहली बार लोकसभा के सदस्य चुने गए। 30 अक्टूबर 1984 को श्रीमती इंदिरा गांधी की मृत्यु के बाद उन्हें देश का प्रधानमंत्री बनाया गया।

उपसंहार : राजीव गांधी के मन में राष्ट्र के विकास और देशवासियों के जीवन-स्तर को सुधारने की प्रबल इच्छा थी। प्रधानमंत्री बनने के बाद उन्होंने अपने वायदों को पूरा करने का प्रयास किया। उन्होंने अपने शासनकाल के पाँच वर्ष पूरे किए। सन् 1989 के चुनाव में काँग्रेस दल को लोकसभा में पूर्ण बहुमत नहीं मिला। इस कारण वे विपक्ष के नेता रहे। 21 मई 1991 को वे पेरम्बुदूर में जनसभा को सम्बोधित करने के लिए जा रहे थे। तभी कुछ देशद्रोहियों ने मानव-बम द्वारा उनकी जघन्य हत्या कर दी। देश से उसका युवा एवं प्रिय नेता छिन गया। निश्चय ही इस अभाव की पूर्ति असंभव है। राजीव गांधी की मृत्यु से भारतीय राजनीति को बहुत बड़ी हानि पहुंची।

#Short Essay: श्रीमती इंदिरा गांधी

जीवन परिचय : श्रीमती गांधी भारत की ही नहीं, विश्व की लोकप्रिय महिला नेता थीं। संपूर्ण विश्व उनकी प्रतिभा एवं उनके गुणों का प्रशंसक रहा है। उनका जन्म 19 नवंबर सन् 1917 को इलाहाबाद के आनंद भवन में हुआ।

उनके पिता पंडित जवाहरलाल नेहरू देश के प्रसिद्ध नेता थे। इंदिरा जी को बाल्यकाल से ही राष्ट्रीय वातावरण मिला। . उनके बचपन का नाम इंदिरा प्रियदर्शनी था। तेरह वर्ष की आयु में उन्होंने बच्चों की वानर सेना का गठन किया। उनकी वानर सेना स्वतंत्रता सेनानियों को सूचनाएँ पहुँचाने का कार्य करती थी।

श्रीमती गांधी ने ऑक्सफोर्ड विश्वविद्यालय में शिक्षा प्राप्त की। इतिहास उनका प्रिय विषय था। सन् 1944 में फिरोज गांधी से उनका विवाह हुआ। उनके दो पुत्र राजीव गांधी एवं संजय गांधी हुए। स्वतंत्रता प्राप्त करने के बाद वह नेहरू जी के साथ ही रहती रहीं। वह उनके कार्यों में पूरा सहयोग करती थीं। इस प्रकार बचपन से ही उन्होंने राजनीति को समझने का प्रयास किया।सन् 1955 में उन्हें काँग्रेस का अध्यक्ष चुना गया। 19 जनवरी 1966 को वे देश की प्रधानमंत्री चुनी गयीं।

प्रधानमंत्री के रूप में : प्रधानमंत्री बनने के बाद श्रीमती गांधी ने बैंकों का राष्ट्रीयकरण किया। समाज में समानता का नियम लागू किया। अमीर-गरीब की खाई को समाप्त करने के प्रयास किए। उन्होंने बंगलादेश को पाकिस्तान की बर्बर शासन-नीति से छुटकारा दिलाया। इससे विश्वस्तर पर भारत को गौरव मिला। उन्होंने सन् 1975 में देश में आपातकाल घोषित कर दिया। इसका दुरुपयोग होने के कारण सन् 1917 के चुनाव में वे चुनाव हार गयीं। किंतु ढाई वर्ष बाद देश में पुनः चुनाव हुए।

चुनाव में श्रीमती गांधी की जीत हुई। वह फिर से देश की प्रधानमंत्री चुनी गयीं। 12 जनवरी 1982 में उन्होंने देश में बीस सूत्री कार्यक्रम लागू किया। सन् 1983 में देश में उन्होंने एशियाई खेल आयोजित करवाए। 1983 में निर्गुट देशों का सम्मेलन बुलाया। श्रीमती गांधी द्वारा आयोजित इन कार्यक्रमों से विश्वस्तर पर देश की प्रतिष्ठा बढ़ी।

31 अक्टूबर सन् 1984 को उनके अंगरक्षकों ने ही उन्हें गोलियों से छलनी कर दिया। देश ने अपने एक महान् नेता को खो दिया।

उपसंहार : श्रीमती गांधी हमारे देश की महान् विभूति थीं। वे विश्वस्तर की महिला नेता थीं। वास्तव में श्रीमती गांधी के अनुपम बलिदान, राष्ट्रभक्ति, उत्तरदायित्वपूर्ण आचरण, शासनपटुता, नेतृत्व एवं लोकप्रियता आदि को भारत ही नहीं संपूर्ण विश्व नतमस्तक होकर स्वीकार करता है।

#Short Essay: क्रांतिकारी सुभाषचंद्र बोस

प्रस्तावना : भारत की आजादी के लिए अनेक वीर सपूतों ने अपना बलिदान दिया। सुभाषचंद्र बोस भी महान् नेता और देश-भक्त पुरुष थे। उन्होंने अपना जीवन देश के लिए बलिदान कर दिया था।

जीवन-परिचय : सुभाषचंद्र बोस का जन्म 23 जनवरी 1897 ई. में कटक में हुआ। बोस के पिता का नाम जानकीदास बोस तथा माता जी का नमा प्रभावती था। उनके पिता उस समय कटक के प्रसिद्ध वकील थे। ब्रिटिश सरकार ने उन्हें रायबहादुर की उपाधि से विभूषित किया था। सुभाष बचपन से ही तेज बुद्धि के थे। प्रथम श्रेणी में बी०ए० करने के पश्चात् वे इंग्लैंड गए। वहाँ से आई०सी०एस० की परीक्षा उत्तीर्ण कर सन् 1920 में स्वदेश लौटे।

राजनीति में प्रवेश : महात्मा गांधी का असहयोग आंदोलन संपूर्ण देश में फैल चुका था। लोग ब्रिटिश सरकार द्वारा दी गयी उपाधियों का त्याग कर रहे थे। ऐसे समय में बोस चुपचाप सरकारी नौकरी नहीं कर सके। उन्होंने सरकारी नौकरी को त्याग दिया। उन्होंने देश के स्वतंत्रता-संग्राम में भाग लेना उचित समझा। उस समय बंगाल की राजनीति में देशबंधु चितरंजनदास सर्वोच्च स्थान पर थे।

सुभाष बोस ने उनसे भेंट की और उन्हें अपना गुरु बनाया। धीरे-धीरे सभाष बंगाल के राजनीतिक क्षेत्र में उन्नति करते गए। वे लोकप्रिय कार्यकर्ता और नेता माने जाने लगे। उन्हें अनेक बार जेल-यात्रा करनी पड़ी। धीरे-धीरे वे देश के शीर्ष नेताओं की पंक्ति में आ खड़े हुए।

सुभाष बोस दो बार कांग्रेस के अध्यक्ष चुने गए। वे यथाशक्ति विद्यार्थियों का मार्गदर्शन करते थे। भारत से अचानक बाहर जाकर वे दूसरे महायुद्ध के समय वर्मा पहुँचे। वहाँ उन्होंने भारतीय सैनिकों को इकट्ठा कर ‘आजाद हिंद फौज’ का गठन किया। इसका उद्देश्य भारत को स्वतंत्र कराना था।

उपसंहार : 18 अगस्त 1945 ई. में जापान जाते हुए फारमोसा में एक वायुयान दुर्घटना में सुभाष की मृत्यु हो गयी। वीर क्रांतिकारी सुभाषचंद्र बोस की देशभक्ति से हमें प्रेरणा लेनी चाहिए।

#Short Essay: वैशाखी

प्रस्तावना : वैशाखी का पवित्र त्योहार वैशाख मास (अप्रैल माह) में हिंदू माह के अनुसार पहली तिथि को मनाया जाता है। यह हिन्दुओं के नववर्ष का पहला दिन माना जाता है। गुरु गोविंदसिंह ने इसी दिन सन् 1699 ई. में खालसा पंथ की नींव डाली। तबसे सिक्ख जाति में वैशाखी का पर्व एक धार्मिक पर्व बन गया है। इस दिन सभी सिक्ख गुरुद्वारे में जाकर गुरुग्रंथ-साहब का पाठ सुनते हैं।

मनाने का कारण : वैशाखी का पर्व पूरे उत्तरी भारत में मनाया जाता है। यह पूर्वोत्तर राज्यों में भी बड़ी धूम-धाम से मनाया जाता है। पंजाब में इसका बहुत अधिक महत्त्व है। इस पर्व को यहाँ पर अधिक’ धूम-धाम से मनाया जाता है। सिक्खों के दसवें गुरु गोविंदसिंह ने वैशाखी पर्व को एक ऐसे कार्य के लिए चुना, जिसने सिक्ख धर्म का रूप ही बदल दिया। उन्होंने वैशाखी को खालसा दिवस का नाम भी दिया। अर्थात् ऐसा दिवस, जब गुरु गोविंदसिंह के हाथों सिक्ख धर्म का रूप निखर गया। वह सभी कमजोरियों से मुक्त हो गया।

खालिस अथवा शुद्ध हो गया। गुरु गोविंदसिंह से पूर्व सिक्ख धर्म शांति एवं अहिंसा का समर्थक था। गुरु नानकदेत ने उन्हें यही शिक्षा दी थी। नानकदेव का कहना था कि किसी को कष्ट देना पाप है। गुरु नानकदेव एवं गुरु तेगबहादुर ने बड़े-बड़े कष्ट सहे। उन्होंने हिंसा का मार्ग नहीं अपनाया। शांति एवं सहनशीलता का मार्ग नहीं त्यागा। गुरु गोविंदसिंह ने मानवता, शांतिप्रियता एवं सद्भाव को तो स्वीकार किया; किंतु उन्होंने कहा कि अत्याचार के सामने सिर झुकाना, अत्याचार का समर्थन करना कायरता का सूचक है।

इन विचारों से प्रेरित होकर उन्होंने सिक्ख-संप्रदाय को एक नया रूप दिया। उन्होंने खालसा पंथ की स्थापना की और अत्याचारों का विरोध किया। इस प्रकार वैशाखी का पर्व पंथ को और भी अधिक शक्तिशाली बनाने के लिए मनाया जाता है।

इस. पर्व को मनाने का एक कारण और भी है। सन् 1919 ई. में वैशाखी पर्व मनाने के लिए लोग जलियाँवाला बाग में एकत्रित हुए। उन निहत्थे लोगों पर ब्रिटिश शासक जनरल डायर ने अंधाधुंध गोलियाँ चलवा दी थीं। इस गोलीकांड में सैकड़ों निर्दोष बच्चे, बूढ़े, स्त्री व पुरुष मौत के मुँह में चले गए। उनकी आत्मा की शांति के लिए भी इस दिन प्रार्थना की जाती है।

उपसंहार : इस प्रकार वैशाखी का पर्व नववर्ष के आगमन एवं अत्याचारों के विरोध का पर्व है। यह सभी को शिक्षा देता है कि वे सदैव मानवता, शांति एवं सद्भावना का समर्थन करें। अत्याचारों को किसी भी स्थिति में सहन न करें।

#Short Essay: विजयादशमी

प्रस्तावना : विजयादशमी हिंदुओं का प्रसिद्ध पर्व है। यह प्रतिवर्ष क्वार सदी दशमी को मनाया जाता है। इसलिए इसको दशहरा भी कहते हैं। मनाने का कारण : हमारे देश में विजयादशमी पर्व का इतिहास बहुत पुराना है। वास्तव में यह ऋतु-परिवर्तन की सूचना देने वाला पर्व है। यह पर्व बताता है कि वर्षा ऋतु बीत गई है और सुहावनी शरद् ऋतु आ गई है।

विजयादशमी पर्व के विषय में यह मान्यता है कि इसी तिथि को श्री रामचंद्र जी ने राक्षसराज रावण को पराजित करके उसका वध किया था। इस प्रकार एक बड़े अन्यायी से संसार को मुक्त करके उन्होंने धर्म और न्याय की प्रतिष्ठा की थी।

वर्णन : विजयादशमी का सबसे बड़ा आकर्षण ‘रामलीला’ है। कोई भारतीय ऐसा नहीं होगा, जिसने कभी-न-कभी और कहीं-न-कहीं रामलीला न देखी हो। राम की कथा का प्रचार हमारे देश में ही नहीं, बाहर के भी अनेक देशों में है। उन देशों में भी रामलीला के प्रदर्शन हर साल होते हैं। इस सिलसिले में इंडोनेशिया का नाम विशेष रूप से उल्लेखनीय है।

हमारे देश में रामलीला का इतना प्रचार है कि छोटे-बड़े शहरों, नगरों के अतिरिक्त गाँवों में भी लोग बड़े उत्साह से इसका आयोजन करते हैं। नगरों में कई स्थानों पर एक साथ रामलीला होती है। राम-जन्म, सीता-स्वयंवर, लक्ष्मण-परशुराम-संवाद, सीता-हरण, हनुमान द्वारा लंका-दहन, लक्ष्मण-मेघनाद-युद्ध आदि के दिन तो दर्शकों की अपार भीड़ रामलीला-मंडप में दिखाई देती है। सचमुच रामलीला के दिनों की चहल-पहल देखने-योग्य होती है। रात-भर दर्शकों का तांता लगा रहता है।

रामलीला का प्रदर्शन प्रायः तुलसीदास जी के संसार-प्रसिद्ध ग्रंथ ‘रामचरितमानस’ के आधार पर होता है। मंच के एक ओर बैठे व्यास जी ‘मानस’ की पंक्तियाँ गाते जाते हैं और उन्हीं के अनुसार पात्र अभिनय करके कथा आगे बढ़ाते हैं।

अंतिम दिन की रामलीला रंगमंच पर न होकर खुले मैदान में होती है। जहाँ राम-रावण युद्ध होता है और राम रावण का वध करते हैं। उसके तुरंत बाद रावण का पुतला जलाया जाता है। इस पुतले को बनाने में कई दिन लगते हैं। विजयादशमी के दूसरे दिन भरत-मिलाप का उत्सव मनाया जाता है। उस दिन का दृश्य बड़ा हृदयहारी होता है।

नंगे पैरों भागते हुए भरत बड़े भाई राम के चरणों पर गिर पड़ते हैं। श्रीराम अपने भाई को बीच में ही रोककर उन्हें अपनी विशाल भुजाओं में ले लेते हैं। इस दृश्य को देखकर सभी की आँखें आँसुओं से भर जाती हैं।

उपसंहार : विजयादशमी का पर्व अन्याय पर न्याय की विजय का प्रतीक है। इसके माध्यम से हम राम के आदर्शों को अपनाने की प्रेरणा प्राप्त करते हैं।

#Short Essay: रक्षाबंधन

प्रस्तावना : रक्षाबंधन भारत का बहुत ही प्राचीन और महत्त्वपूर्ण त्योहार है। रक्षाबंधन दो शब्दों से मिलकर बना है- रक्षा बंधन। अतः रक्षाबंधन का अर्थ है रक्षा के लिए किया गया प्रण। इस दिन भाई अपनी बहिन की रक्षा के लिए प्रतिज्ञा करते हैं। होली, दीपावली, दशहरा आदि त्योहारों की भाँति इस त्योहार का भी विशेष महत्त्व है।

समय : रक्षाबंधन का त्योहार श्रावण मास की पूर्णिमा को मनाया जाता है। इस त्योहार को श्रावणी, सलूनों आदि नामों से भी पुकारा जाता है। यह वर्षा ऋतु का प्रमुख त्योहार माना जाता है।

मनाने का कारण : रक्षाबंधन क्यों मनाया जाता है? इस विषय में कई पौराणिक कथाएँ प्रचलित हैं। एक बार देवताओं और राक्षसों में युद्ध प्रारंभ हो गया, जिसमें देवताओं की हार होने लगी। यह जानकर इंद्र को बड़ी चिंता हुई। युद्ध में विजय पाने के लिए श्रावण मास की पूर्णिमा के दिन इंद्र की पत्नी ने इंद्र के हाथ में रक्षा का बंधन बाँधा था, जिससे देवताओं की विजय हुई और राक्षसों की हार हुई। तभी से रक्षाबंधन का त्योहार मनाया जाता है।

रक्षाबंधन को मनाने के विषय में एक दूसरी कथा भी प्रचलित है। एक समय चित्तौड़ की रानी कर्मावती पर गुजरात के राजा ने आक्रमण कर दिया। कर्मावती ने सम्राट् हुमायूँ के पास राखी भेजी थी। हुमायूँ ने कमवती को अपनी धर्म की बहिन मानकर उसकी रक्षा की। वास्तव में रक्षाबंधन का त्योहार भाई और बहिन के पावन प्रेम को प्रकट करता है।

मनाने की विधि : रक्षाबंधन का त्योहार मनाने के लिए कई दिन पूर्व से तैयारियां शुरू हो जाती हैं। बाज़ार से सुंदर-सुंदर राखियाँ खरीदी जाती हैं। जो भाई बाहर रहते हैं उनके लिए बहिनें राखियाँ डाक द्वारा भेजती हैं। श्रावण मास की पूर्णिमा के दिन प्रात:काल से ही एक निराली प्रसन्नता सी छाई रहती है। सफाई आदि के बाद दीवारों पर चित्र बनाए जाते हैं। इस दिन घरों में खीर, सेवइयाँ आदि बनाई जाती हैं। राखी की पूजा होती है। बहिन-भाई नए-नए वस्त्र धारण करते हैं। बहिनें अपने भाइयों को राखी बाँधती हैं तथा दक्षिणा में रुपये भी देते हैं।

इस दिन घरों में भी लोग राखी देने के लिए आते हैं तथा दक्षिणा पाते हैं। वास्तव में यह त्योहार भाई-बहिन के असीम स्नेह का प्रतीक है। इस प्रकार पूरे दिन प्रसन्नता का वातावरण रहता है।

उपसंहार : वास्तव में रक्षाबंधन भारत का बड़ा पवित्र एवं महत्त्वपूर्ण त्योहार है। इस त्योहार से व्यक्तियों में स्नेह एवं कर्तव्यपालन की भावना जाग्रत होती है। हम सभी को इस त्योहार की पावनता एवं शुद्धता को बनाए रखना चाहिए।

#Short Essay: जन्माष्टमी

प्रस्तावना : हमारे देश में अनेक महान् आत्माओं ने जन्म लिया। उन्होंने अपने जीवन में अनेक लोकहितकारी कार्य किए। इसलिए आज भी उनका स्मरण किया जाता है। हम श्रद्धापूर्वक उनको नमन करते हैं। श्रीकृष्ण भी ऐसे ही अवतारी पुरुष थे। श्रीकृष्ण देवकी-वसुदेव के पुत्र थे। उनका जन्म भादो मास के कृष्णपक्ष की अष्टमी को हुआ था। अत: यह पर्व प्रतिवर्ष जन्माष्टमी के रूप में मनाया जाता है।

श्रीकृष्ण की महानता : कृष्ण के जन्म के समय मथुरा में क्रूर एवं अत्याचारी कंस का शासन था। वह श्रीकृष्ण का मामा था। ज्योतिषियों ने उसे बताया था कि तेरा भानजा ही तेरा वध करेगा। अपने प्राणों के भय से उसने अपनी बहिन देवकी और बहनोई वसुदेव को बंदी बना लिया था। देवकी और वसुदेव के बंदी जीवन में ही श्रीकृष्ण का जन्म हुआ। श्रीकृष्ण ने आततायी कंस से जनता को मुक्ति दिलायी। श्रीकृष्ण एक चतुर राजनीतिज्ञ थे।

वे योगीराज, विद्वान्, वीर योद्धा, देश-उद्धारक, सच्चे मित्र, अनुपम दानी और सेवा-भाव के आदर्श परुष थे। दुर्योधन की पराजय, कंस, जरासंघ, शिशुपाल आदि आततायियों का वध, अर्जुन को गीता का उपदेश, गरीब ब्राह्मण सुदामा की सहायता आदि कार्य श्रीकृष्ण की महानता को प्रकट करते हैं।

वर्णन : जन्माष्टमी के दिन लोग दिन-भर उपवास करते हैं। मंदिर में सजावट की जाती है। रासलीलाएँ होती हैं। इस अवसर पर श्रीकृष्ण की झाँकियाँ भी निकाली जाती हैं। मूर्तियाँ बनायी जाती हैं। सायंकाल लोग झाँकियों को देखने जाते हैं। मंदिरों एवं बाजारों में काफी चहल-पहल होती है। जन्माष्टमी का पर्व कृष्ण के जन्मस्थान गोकुल एवं वृदावन में बहुत. धूमधाम से मनाया जाता है। अन्य स्थानों की तुलना में यहाँ कुछ अधिक ही उत्साह दिखायी देता है। भक्तजन दिनभर उपवास के बाद अर्द्धरात्रि में श्रीकृष्ण के जन्म के समय मंदिरों में पूजा-अर्चना करते हैं। प्रसाद बाँटा जाता है। इसके बाद भक्तगण भोजन करके अपना उपवास समाप्त करते हैं।

रूपरेखा : प्रस्तावना – मिलावट प्राणघातक, देशद्रोही और अमानवीय – कानून के शिकंजे से दूर – स्वास्थ्य के लिए हानिकारक – स्वामी रामतीर्थ जी के जीवन की घटना – उपसंहार।

परिचय | मिलावट की प्रस्तावना –

वर्तमान युग अभाव का युग है। जीवनोपयोगी पदार्थों की दृष्टि से कोई भी वस्तु बाजार से खरीदने जाइए। पहले तो मिलेगी ही नहीं, यदि मिल भी जाए तो बहुत ऊँचे दामों में अभाव और ऊँचे मूल्य से व्यापारी में अधिक लाभ कमाने की सहज इच्छा जागृत हुई। अधिक लाभ की इच्छा ने वस्तुओं में मिलावट के प्राणघातक, देशद्रोही और अमानवीय कृत्य को जन्म दिया।

मिलावट प्राणघातक, देशद्रोही और अमानवीय –

यह मिलावट औषधियों में तो और भी प्राणघातक सिद्ध होती है। दिल्ली में उपभोक्ताओं की शिकायत पर एक सर्वेक्षण किया गया। छापा मार कर सैरिडॉन की टिकियाँ पकड़ी गईं। टिकियों पर सैरिडॉन के स्थान पर ‘सारोडॉन’ लिखा हुआ था। डॉक्टरों का मत है कि नकली ‘सारोडॉन’ सिर दर्द तो दूर नहीं करेगी हाँ, पेट की गड़बड़ अवश्य पैदा कर सकती है। इसी प्रकार ‘कोडोपायरीन’ के स्थान पर ‘कोडीपीन’ की टिकियाँ मिलीं, जिनमें एस्पिरिन और चाक पाउडर का मिश्रण था। चाक से किडनी (गुर्दे) में पत्थर बन जाता है और एस्पिरिन हृदय-रोग उत्पन्न कर सकती है। एस्प्रो की नकली टिकियाँ जो देखने में असली की तरह दिखाई देती हैं, एस्पिरिन मात्र का संग्रह है, जो ‘अल्परक्तचाप’ का शिकार बना सकती है। विशेषज्ञों का कहना है कि इसकी कुछ गोलियाँ एक साथ खाने से गोली खाने वाला स्वस्थ मानव परलोक पहुँच सकता है।

कानून के शिकंजे से दूर –

हर महीने समाचार-पत्रों के शीर्षक होते हैं अमुक नगर में विषैली शराब पीने से 20 आदमी मर गए। कहीं 25 आदमियों के मरने का समाचार छपता है। विषैली शराब मिलावट का परिणाम है। फिर भी मजाल है कि शराब बेचने वाले पकड़े जाएँ। पकड़े भी गए तो उनकी पहुँच कानून के लम्बे हाथों को भी मरोड़ देती है।

नकली ग्लूकोज इंजेक्शन से रोगियों की मृत्यु हो जाती है। कानपुर के लाला लाजपतराय अस्पताल के 22 रोगी नरक लोक में नकली ग्लूकोज निर्माता को कोसते होंगे। पंजाब के मोगा शहर में 50 बच्चों की मृत्यु हो गई। पता चला कि उनकी दवाई में चूहे मारने वाली दवा स्टायक्लीन का प्रयोग किया गया था।

स्वास्थ्य के लिए हानिकारक –

खाने को चीजों में मिलावट ने तो भारतवासियों का स्वास्थ्य चौपट ही कर रखा है। चावलों में सफेद पत्थर, काली मिर्चों में पपीते के बीज और पीसे धनिये में सूखी लीद मिलाना तो आम बात है। देसी घी में बनस्पति तेल मिलाकर ‘विशुद्ध’ जाता है। वनस्पति में तेल मिलाकर पवित्र किया जाता है। सड़े अचार में उत्पन्न कीटाणुओं को उसी में आत्मसात कर दिया जाता है। सरसों का तेल भी शुद्ध नहीं रहा। शरीर में मलिए कुछ क्षणों में चिकनाहट गायब। खाने से मृत्यु का आह्वान । बादाम रोगन वास्तविक बादाम का प्रतिफलन नहीं, अपितु सेंट का कमाल है।

मिलावट का दुष्परिणाम देखिए आँख का अंजन आँख फोड़ रहा है और दन्त-मंजन दाँतों की जड़ों को खोद रहा है। नकली बाम सिर-दर्द तो मिटाता नहीं, बदन दर्द पैदा कर देता है।

शुद्ध ऊन के वस्त्र में नाईलॉन का मिश्रण होगा। शुद्ध नाईलॉन में नकली रेशमी धागे मिले होंगे। रेशम में कितनी शुद्धता है कौन जाने ?

सीमेंट में रेत और बालू रेत में मिट्टी की मिलावट भवन की नींव को कमजोर कर देती है। फलत: बड़े-बड़े गगनचुम्बी भवन अपनी आयु से पूर्व ही पृथ्वी से साक्षात्कार करने को उतावले दिखलाई पड़ते हैं।

कलियुग के बारे में विष्णु पुराण, भागवत और रामचरितमानस के कवि-मनीषियों ने जो लिखा है, उसमें वे सम्भवत: यह लिखना भूल गए लगते हैं कि, ”हर पाप कलियुग में अपनी मर्यादा में रहेगा, किन्तु मिलावट के पाप पर परमेश्वर भी काबू नहीं पा सकेगा।

स्वामी रामतीर्थ जी के जीवन की घटना –

स्वामी रामतीर्थ के जीवन की एक घटना है उन्होंने शिवलिंग पर चढ़ाने के लिए दूध खरीदा। दूध के रंग को देखकर स्वामी जी को शंका हुई। आचमन किया तो स्पष्ट हो गया कि दूध में जल का मिश्रण है स्वामी जी ने पहले तो एकटक दूध वाले को देखा और फिर रोते हुए अपना सिर पीटने लगे। स्वामी जी का रुदन सुनकर अनेक शिष्य आ गए शिष्यों ने स्वामी जी से उनके रुदन का कारण जानना चाहा, तो स्वामी जी ने कहा, “जो कुछ सामने है, उसकी शिकायत किससे करूँ ? सरकार के आँख-कान होते नहीं । ग्वाले के सिर पर लोभ का भूत सवार है और शिवजी पहले ही पत्थर के हो गए। इसलिए अपना सिर पीटने के सिवाय चारा ही क्‍या है ?” शिष्य-समूह में एक भक्त जो न्यायाधीश भी थे, खड़े थे। उन्होंने क्रोध में ग्वाले को दण्ड देने की बात कही। इस पर स्वामी रामतीर्थ ने शिवलिंग बगल में दबाया और यह कहते हुए वहाँ से चल दिए, “पहले मुझे इस ग्वाले से कम अपराधी को खोज लेने दो, फिर मैं दण्ड के बारे में सोचूँगा।”

उपसंहार –

मिलावट धन के लोभी-व्यापारियों की मानसिक पतन की पराकाष्ठा है। उससे छुटकारा पाने के लिए जनता-जनार्दन को सचेत रहना होगा। लोकप्रियता को दुहाई देने वाली सरकार को इस जधन्य अपराध से जनता को मुक्ति दिलानी होगी। मिलावट करने वाले संस्थानों के मालिकों को आजन्म काराबास और रिश्वत लेकर उसके जुल्म को कम करने या करवाने में सहायक अधिकारी को मृत्युदण्ड देना होगा, तभी इस पाप से मुक्ति संभव है।
