SPECIAL DUTY - There are certain requirements in the Air Force which cannot be satisfied by normal allocation and assignment selection criteria because the duties require Airmen with unique qualifications. As a career airmen, this means you can't PCS, promote, or re-enlist. As a FTA you still can re-enlist or whatever after denying to previously gain retainability for the assignment, but that negates the form you have to fill out to deny to get retainability.
