The present study aimed to investigate pre-service elementary teachers’ development and use of worksheets for science and technology course, and to obtain their opinions about these applications. To fulfill this end, in the study, it was employed the case study model as a qualitative research model. The applications were conducted during the fall and spring semesters of the academic year 2008-2009 in the Faculty of Education at Celal Bayar University. The study data were collected through the worksheets prepared by the pre-service teachers as a result of the applications, an opinion form, and semi-structured interviews. The presentation files prepared by the pre-service elementary teachers were examined through document analysis. Furthermore, the data obtained through the opinion form were examined by content analysis, while the data from the semi-structured interviews were analyzed by the descriptive analysis method. The results of the study revealed that the pre-service teachers usually prepared and used worksheets for the purposes of assessment, identification of previous knowledge, activity development and in the form of experiment/activity reports. As for the acquisitions of the use of worksheets, the pre-service teachers mentioned their contributions such as identifying learning levels, revealing previous knowledge, providing experience, teaching preparation and increasing interest in the course. Moreover, most of the participants stated that they had certain problems about choosing suitable questions, and developing questions appropriate for students’ levels while developing worksheets. In the light of these results, certain suggestions are made about the preparation and use of worksheets.

This research aims to develop inquiry-based student worksheet and to describe its attractiveness, usefulness and effectiveness. The development design uses seven steps of Borg & Gall research including research and data collection, planning, product draft development, initial field testing, revision of the test results, field testing, and product improvement. Product validation includes material validation, design and content using questionnaires. The subjects of the testing are teachers and students of one of state senior high schools in East Lampung. The results of material validation, design and student worksheet’s content are included in high category, so that it can be stated that the student worksheet is worth to use. Student’s worksheet scientific approach is a teaching material that contains material, teaches students to experiment by following the steps based on the scientific method. The scientific method is observed, ask, gather information, associate, and communicate. This study aims to determine the feasibility of student’s worksheets based on class VII scientific approach. This type of research was Research and Development (R & D) with the Four D research model. The sample used was Kalianget 2 Public Middle School. The study was carried out to evaluate the effectiveness of developed worksheets as an instructional material for teaching specific concepts in science 9. In particular, the aim of the study is to analyze the evaluation ratings of the worksheets produced and the effect of its implementation. It also examines the significant difference between the respondents' academic performances when supported by the developed worksheets. The primary instrument of the study is a standardized evaluation tool for printed materials from the Department of Education, Learning Resources Management and Development System (LRMDS) Office. Indonesian Realistic Mathematics Education (PMRI) is a learning approach that links the student’s daily life with the concepts of mathematics for meaningful and easily understood mathematics learning. To support the implementation of the learning with PMRI approach, PMRI learning tools such as student’s worksheet is required. Student’s worksheet with PMRI approach has not developed well in many schools yet. One of the topics that can be taught by using PMRI approach is rectangle and square. Therefore, researcher conducted a study with the aim to describe and generate worksheets that using PMRI approach on the materials of rectangle and square. A good student’s worksheet must be satisfied criteria of valid, practical and effective. This research is a developmental research using Plomp’s model, without the implementation phase. It has been conducted on 36 students of VII-D SMP Negeri 1 Wonoayu. In this study, data obtained from the results of the validation, the result of learning implementation, the results of student’s score as learning outcomes and student’s respond. From the results and discussion on this research, it can be concluded that the development of student’s worksheet satisfies aspect of validity (average total validity is 3.64), practically (LKS easy to use and with an average total learning observations of 3.81), and effectiveness ( student’s learning outcomes is classically passed out with percentage of 86.11% and the students gave positive responses to the student’s worksheet for more than 50% of each statement included in the category of strong).Therefore developed student’s worksheet in the category of good.

This article was result of research and development (R & D) which aims to obtain profile of inquiry ability of students. Model of the tool development was based on 4-D model of Thiagarajan et al., which are consist of define, design, develop, and disseminate. In 2015, we had produced the tool, which was student worksheets, that meets validity criterion both by experts and practitioners. The model/framework of the worksheet consists of title, question of investigation, analysis questions, and question to infer. The model/framework minimized guidance statement just like as in laboratory activity guidance book (which were like " cake recipe "). Limited testing in this study was conducted in develop stage, using descriptive analysis approach. The subject of research was students of X1 class consist of 30 students, at SMAN 1 Makassar in even semester of academic year 2016/2017 on heat and temperature. The results of study showed that the average of inquiry ability of students of SMA N 1 Makassar was in enough skilled categories. Learning process by using this student worksheet (LKPD) could train the inquiry ability of students because this worksheet consists of scientific activity based on science process skill. The SMA students, who were the subject of this research, were unfamiliar with independent learning, therefore the use of similar worksheet for another topic was needed. If students have familiarity with this LKPD, their inquiry ability would be getting better and better, students will be accustomed with scientific activity, and we expect that the scientific habitual will be formed and would be character.

This research aims to design and produce Student Worksheets based on scientific approach on Growth and Development topic. The research design used is Research and Development method with 3D model which is define, design and developing stage. The subjects of this research were Material Expert, Learning Expert, Biology Teacher, and Students of grade XII SMAN 1 Berastagi that consist of 6 classes with 216 students as population sample number. Data collection was carried out with instrument in the form of questionnaire, while the data analysis using qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis. The result showed this product classified into very feasible category with an average score 95,93% by material and learning experts assesment, meanwhile the assessment of biology teacher obtained 95% with very good category as well.
