Teacher’s Day Long Speech

Distinguished Teachers, Honorable Students, Respected Principal, and My Dear Friends, Today, we're here to celebrate Teacher's Day. We take this opportunity to express our gratitude to the professors who have had a significant influence on our lives. Teachers serve as our compass, guiding us toward learning and wisdom. They don't simply provide knowledge; they also uphold principles, encourage inquiry, and improve us as individuals. We must recognize the significant influence that teachers have on every facet of our lives.

They act as the designers of our intellectual and moral growth, laying the foundation on which we build our goals and dreams. They exhort us to think critically, consider the bigger picture, and look for solutions.

On this day, it is essential to remember that teaching is a passion rather than only a job. It's an admirable endeavour that not only involves knowledge sharing but also enhances the lives of others. Without our teachers, whose efforts are sometimes disregarded and underappreciated, our journey to enlightenment would not be complete. As we honour our teachers today, let's think about our duty as students. Let's make a pledge to be active learners who respect our lecturers' dedication by utilizing the chances they give. Let's aim for excellence in whatever we do as a way to express our gratitude.

We give our professors our sincere thanks. We value your tenacity, dedication, and unwavering faith in us. I'm appreciative that you are my friends, guides, and supporters. Your effect goes well beyond the walls of the school, and we are tremendously grateful for that.

Finally, let's make the most of this day to express our gratitude to the educators who helped shape us and to inspire all educators to continue their incredible work. Keep in mind that education is a journey we take throughout our lives, and the teachers who guide us make it worthwhile. Education is not just a way to achieve anything.

2 Minute Speech On Teachers Day In English

Good morning to everyone in this room. I would like to thank the principal, the teachers, and my dear friends for allowing me to speak to you today about teachers day. In India, the fifth of September is recognised as Teachers’ Day each year. The eminent philosopher and teacher Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan was born on September 5th. In his later years, he first served as the Indian republic’s vice president and subsequently as its president.

Teachers treat their students with the same care and sincerity they would their children. It’s commonly believed that parents are not as good as instructors. While a child’s parents give birth to them, their teachers shape their personalities and guarantee a bright future.

To be respectable citizens of India, we should be appreciative of all that our teachers do for us and follow their instructions. By offering us examples of admirable people, they inspire us and encourage us to study. They swell with insight and knowledge, feeding our life. Thank you.

Speech on Teacher’s Day (500 Words, 5 Minutes Speech)

Good Morning! Honorable Principal sir, director sir, teachers, chief guests, and my dear friends. I am Jagdish Rathor and I study in class 10 th . It’s an honour and a huge pleasure for me to be standing here today. On this special occasion, I want to say few words on behalf of our respected teachers, who are thought of as the backbone of our society. Today is Teacher’s Day, which is a celebration of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan’s birthday. He was one of the best teachers our nation has ever had. He was also India’s second president. Dr. Radhakrishnan told that it would be a great honor for him if they didn’t celebrate his birthday on September 5 but instead made it Teachers’ Day. This really shows how much he cared about teaching and how much he wanted to honor all teachers.

We all know that the word “teacher” is hard to describe. It’s not easy to be a teacher, because they have to teach students all day without sitting down, figuring out their strengths and weaknesses, and then work on them in the right way. Teachers don’t just shape the lives of the students they teach, but also the lives of the whole generation. Teaching is more than just a good job. It’s also one of the greatest contributions to mankind. A teacher is an intellectual and spiritual guide, and they help their students so that they can spread their wings and fly. They give us the strength to get through life’s hard times. They help us turn our raw potential into beautiful realities. They plant the seeds of knowledge, grow our skills, and give us the power to become the best versions of ourselves. In addition to giving us knowledge, teachers also teach us essential values and qualities that shape us. They teach us how important it is to be honest and have ethics, to respect others, and to never give up. They make us want to dream big, follow our interests, and keep going even when things get hard.

Teacher’s Day is a good time to tell our teachers how much we appreciate them and how important they are to us. Without them, our lives would be useless. As we celebrate Teachers’ Day today, let’s thank the teachers who have made a difference in our lives. Let’s appreciate the pleasure of remembering how hard they worked to make their lessons interesting, how patiently they answered all of our questions, and how much they cared about us when we needed it the most. I bow my head and thank them from the bottom of my heart, now and always. Have a happy teacher’s day! Last but not least, I’d like to end my speech with a quote from Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam: “The goal of education is to make good people who are skilled and knowledgeable. Teachers can help people become more enlightened.” Thank you to all of my teachers, who have always shown us the way and been there for us.

A very warm welcome to all my respected teachers and everyone present here. Today I am here to deliver a speech on Teachers’ Day. I would like to start my speech by thanking all my beloved teachers for always guiding us and bestowing us with all the teachings, moral values, and discipline. Teachers’ Day in India is celebrated every year on the 5th of September to mark the birthday of our second President, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. Dr. Radhakrishnan was the first Vice President of India. He was also a great scholar, an ideal teacher, and a Bharat Ratna recipient. He was born on 5th September 1888 . It was after becoming the President of India, some of his friends and students approached Dr. Radhakrishnan to celebrate his birthday. To this, he replied that instead of celebrating his birthday on this particular date, it would be his privilege if 5th September is celebrated as Teachers’ Day all over India. Thereafter, 5th September is celebrated every year to honour our beloved teachers who nourish and prepare us for a better future.

Teachers are our supporting pillars who play an important role in guiding us throughout our student life. They give their best to teach us valuable lessons in life and are our role models whom we look up to. I equally want to thank my parents for being my first mentors and supporting me in each and every step of my life. On this occasion, I would like to request my parents as well as my teachers to continue guiding me the same way.

It is said that the future of a particular country lies in the hands of its children. Thus, a teacher has a major role to play in shaping the future of the students and helping us become successful in our respective careers.

Teacher’s Day is thus celebrated to honour the hardships as well as to acknowledge their special role in our lives. It is a day full of excitement, activities, and special performances that are organized by the students, especially for their teachers. Teachers’ Day is not only celebrated in India but also is celebrated worldwide to appreciate the power of teaching. Different countries celebrate this day on different dates. But, UNESCO officially declared the 5th of October as the World Teachers’ Day in 1994.

Last but not least, I would like to end my speech by thanking you all for providing me with an opportunity to deliver a speech on my beloved teachers on this occasion of Teachers’ Day. I feel proud to call myself a student of this institution which has helped me evolve as a better person and has given me a passion to learn new things every day.

He was also the second President of India and a great scholar. He had a passion for teaching and was also awarded the Bharat Ratna. Once when some of his students asked to celebrate his birthday, Dr. Radhakrishnan told them that he would be very honoured if instead of celebrating 5th September as his birthday, they celebrated it as Teachers' Day. It was in the year 1921, and the carriage was pulled by the students themselves.

Since then, a teacher is placed next to God.

The teaching system had been modified over the years and today we see a large number of educational institutions running across the country. Teaching is the greatest act of optimism.

Good morning to everyone in attendance. I’ve come to speak on this auspicious occasion of Teachers’ Day. To begin, I’d like to wish all of my esteemed teachers a very Happy Teachers’ Day. Every day, it is because of your hard work and dedication that we as students learn and grow into better people. I’d like to thank all of the teachers for always being a pillar of support for us and correcting our numerous mistakes. Teachers’ Day is celebrated all over India on September 5th to recognise and honour their dedication to teaching.

Teachers’ Day was established by Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, India’s first Vice President, who was born on September 5, 1988. He was also India’s second President and a great scholar. He was also awarded the Bharat Ratna for his dedication to education. When some of his students asked to celebrate his birthday, Dr Radhakrishnan told them that instead of celebrating his birthday on September 5th, they should celebrate Teachers’ Day. This demonstrates how dedicated he was to teaching and how passionate he was about showing respect to all teachers. As a result, every year on the anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan’s birth, we observe Teachers’ Day.

Teachers’ Day celebrations in schools hold a special place in our hearts. As students, we have the opportunity to put on special performances in honour of our beloved teachers. This day is jam-packed with fun, excitement, and a variety of activities for all students.

Finally, I’d like to thank all of my teachers for being role models in our lives and assisting us in becoming better people. I am grateful for the opportunity to give a speech on the occasion of Teachers’ Day.

Long Speech on Teacher’s Day in English 500+ Words

Check out the long Teacher’s day speech in English given below. This long speech on teacher’s day in English contains more than 500 words. You can use this sample to curate your own speech as well.

I’d like to extend a very warm welcome to everyone in this room, including my esteemed teachers. Today I’m here to give a speech in honour of Teachers’ Day. I’d like to begin my speech by thanking all of my beloved teachers for always guiding us and bestowing upon us all of the teachings, moral values, and discipline that we have received. Every year on September 5th, India celebrates Teachers’ Day to commemorate the birthday of our second President, Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. Dr Radhakrishnan was India’s first Vice President. He was also a great scholar, an excellent teacher, and a recipient of the Bharat Ratna. He was born on September 5, 1988. After becoming President of India, some of Dr Radhakrishnan’s friends and students approached him to celebrate his birthday. Instead of celebrating his birthday on this specific date, he responded that it would be his privilege if the 5th of September was observed as Teachers’ Day throughout India. Following that, the 5th of September is observed every year to honour our beloved teachers who nourish and prepare us for a brighter future.

Teachers are the foundations of our lives. They are strong pillars that support every student. Teachers give of themselves to help us grow into responsible adults. They are the ray of light in the darkness that encourages us to live. Teachers never regard us as less than their students. They are our other parent who takes full responsibility for our development.

Teachers are our guides, and they are always there for us, preparing us to face any difficult situation that life throws at us. An ideal and perfect teacher is not one who imparts knowledge, but one who inspires each student to pursue their dreams.

Students can be difficult to manage at times, but every teacher has assisted us in learning from our mistakes and growing. Teachers have chastised us for our mistakes and praised us whenever we have achieved a goal. We’ve all imitated our teachers at some point because, deep down, every student wishes to be like their role model, and some wish to emulate certain characteristics of their favourite teachers as well.

Before we start celebrating Teachers’ Day, I’d like to thank my teachers from the bottom of my heart for standing beside us and helping us grow. Without their teachers, the students have no worth.

Teacher’s Day is thus observed to honour the difficulties as well as to recognise their unique role in our lives. It is an exciting day filled with activities and special performances organised by the students, especially for their teachers. Teachers’ Day is observed not only in India but also around the world to recognise the importance of education. This day is observed on different dates in different countries. However, in 1994, UNESCO officially designated October 5th as World Teachers’ Day.

Last but not least, I’d like to conclude my speech by thanking you all for giving me the opportunity to speak about my beloved teachers on Teachers’ Day. I am proud to be a student at this institution, which has helped me grow as a person and has given me a desire to learn new things every day.
