Raajahyogam (2022) Movie Review: Comedy Masala With A Potential

Ram Ganpati’s Raajahyogam (2022) begins with the father and brother of Aishwarya (Bismi Naas) discussing how Goddess Bala Tripura has blessed them with wealth. They also talk about how this could change the fate of their village. While renovating the temple of their dynasty’s inheritance, they found the two most valuable diamonds. Naturally, they wanted to use them to develop the village. However, they are killed on their way to the village, and their diamonds are robbed. What ensues later is a fascinating and funny plot.

Director Ram Ganpati Rao first directed ‘E Ee’ (2017), a romantic comedy where two arch enemies bump into each other. But when they are almost getting intimate, an untoward situation occurs. In 2022, he gave us a nearly commercial masala film that can undoubtedly stay longer and invite a specific audience. Ram Ganpati is a promising director to look for. But the OTT release pushes the movie into rough waters. The Pan India concept that is a buzzword today could impact the works of grooming directors like Ram Ganpati.

Raajahyogam is made for a very specific audience. In fact, it should be watched with that perspective in mind. That being said, Ram Ganpati’s Raajahyogam attempts to provide us with an experience similar to comedy masala films. If it needs to be compared to Bollywood, you will be reminded of a similar concept in Golmaal comedy Franchise or Housefull comedy Franchise, etc.

You won’t be disappointed with the cast as they try their level best to give stellar performances. Starting with Rishi (Sai Ronak), who embraces every scene, making it his own with the Okinawan Martial Arts weapon Nunchaku and bō, which he flaunts throughout the film, proving that he is capable of much more. From start to finish, he is in character and deserves a better role in the future. Sree (Ankita Saha), as the femme fatale, proves her caliber excellently. Whether it is to remain with the Big Daddy and enjoy their money and wealth or trick and rob the sealed and secure diamonds, she does it efficiently. Bismi Naas has a very small role to play. But she is a confident performer; she and Rishi form a good couple and enjoy good chemistry. Both Ankita and Bismi, as debutantes, essay their roles skillfully.

Raajahyogam is a comedy film, and thus you will have loads of fun, although the vulgarity of the jokes is a bit questionable. The hilarious pairing of Trumpu (Tagubotu Ramesh) and Jumpu (Shakalaka Shankar) adds to the comedic feel of the movie. You will want to watch them pair again in any other movie.

Ajay Gosh as the antagonist in Raajahyogam, steals most of the scenes, and rightly so. He doesn’t disappoint you with his timing and his uproarious presence. The director chooses to portray this character amusingly as flawed.

The film doesn’t give us anything new but entertainment overload. Neither the themes discussed nor the way it is depicted is new. You see everyone in the movie running to get the diamonds in their hands towards the end. Diamonds become the reason why they encounter and get into conflicts with one another. Even to the point of killing the other and losing one’s own life.

Rishi gets the diamonds for Aishwarya and hands them over, saying, “For what you lost your everything, those diamonds should belong to you.” But to which, with great conviction and as though preaching to the viewers, Aishwarya replies, “Person more valuable than these is standing before my eyes.” Handing the diamonds back to Rishi, who at the beginning of the movie wanted to be rich and was faking in front of Sree. If a king’s fortune is in our fate, then we are sure to enjoy our wealth. If not, it is a vicious cycle that we are getting into. Raajahyogam correctly cautions us not to get sucked into the remorseless cycle.

The win for Raajahyogam is that it has many comedians who shoulder the burden of making the movie light-hearted and jocular. The music, dance numbers, cameraman, lighting, etc., play their significant part. The screenplay could have been better, and the story too, which was predictable, and needed a little bit of a twist. The director earns my appreciation for infusing enough fun into the narrative. But to reach the level of becoming India’s prominent action and comedy masala director, there is a long way to go for Ram Ganpati Rao. Raajahyogam is a good start. Let’s wait with hope and see what we get from him sooner or later.

Raajahyogam : Story Review

Raajahyogam's story is all about true love and how money and status affect it. Rishi (Sai Ronak), a mechanic falls for beautiful girl Sree (Ankita Saha) and goes to any extent to win her heart. When both are enjoying a no-holds-barred romance, he gets to know the real nature of Sree. Where this leads to, how their relationship gets affected vis a vis Aishwarya (Bismi Naas), Trumpu (Tagubotu Ramesh), Jumpu (Shakalaka Shankar), Karan (Praveen) Bhadram (Bhadram) from the rest of developments.

Raajahyogam : Artists Review

Sai Ronak starred in many films and he played the typical role of a youngster who gets attracted to the looks of a girl before realizing her motive. He is ok in his role. He should work hard to improve his performance, body language, expressions, and emotions. It seems he just passed through the motions.

Ankita Saha made full use of the opportunity to cross all the limits and flaunt her curves throughout the length of her character. She got nothing much to do but seduce each and every man she comes across. She exposed her assets in a shocking manner. Another heroine Bismi Naas failed to make an impression. She just stood in front of the camera but is at her loss on how to express or present herself. She got limited scope to perform.

There are many actors like Ajay Ghosh, Praveen, Giri, Badram,  Shakalaka Shankar, Taagubotu Ramesh, Chitram Srinu, Sijju, Madhunandhan but none of them failed to entertain. The less we talk about the performances of the cast, the better it is.

Raajahyogam : Technicians Review

Raajahyogam's story readied by Ram Ganapati offered nothing new. The story in the backdrop of gangs fighting for a diamond and a love story embedded in it, romance, deceit, etc with hilarious scenes are seen in many hit films. Ram Ganapati planned to score a hit creating a laughing riot. Though the idea is right, he failed completely as right from the start till the finish, there is not even a single scene that evokes laughter. Ram Ganapati failed with his story, screenplay, and direction, and within minutes of the narration, viewers will be running for cover. They look for excuses to escape as they do not know what hit them. Family viewers put up a helpless faces. The narration drags and proceeds at a snail's pace and while watching the film one gets a feeling that even 80s serials would have been far better than Raajayogam. People are left cursing their fate and the entire blame lies with Ram Ganapati and dialogue writer Chintapalli Ramana.

Karthika Srinivas' editing left a lot to be desired. He couldn't be faulted as had he been sincere, there wouldn't have been any film. Vijay C Kumar's cinematography is just average. The background music of Paul Praveen is nothing to rave about. Arul Muraleedharan's music is fine. A couple of songs are foot-tapping and youthful and they are shot well. Production values of Shree Navabala Creations and Vaishnavi Nataraj Productions are below standards.

Raajahyogam : Rating Analysis

Altogether, Title Raajahyogam featuring Sai Ronak and directed by Ram Ganpathi sent positive signals of that of a hilarious entertainer. But with in minutes, viewers are proven wrong, as Ram Ganpati did not come up with any real story to talk about. Dialogues are so vulgar and obscene and not only family viewers, everyone will hang their heads in shame. The way they concentrated on exposing the lead heroine, brought back memories of Ram Gopal Varma at his worst. In one song they crossed all the limits and this showed the cheap mentality of the filmmakers. While there is one set of talented filmmakers in Tollywood who crave creativity and take Tollywood to international standards, there is another set of filmmakers who believe only in obscenity as the shortcut to success. But they little realize that viewers will outright reject their cheap taste and product. Right-thinking movie lovers are left to wonder if this is what they get trained in film institutes and schools. There is no purpose in the making of Rajayogam except to showcase their perversion and penchant for obscenity on the big screen. The makers of Raajahyogam in fact insulted the entire industry by coming out with such a substandard and mediocre film. In fact, these types of films shouldn't be encouraged and it is below dignity to give a rating for such films. Finally Raajahyogam is a rot. Considering all these aspects, Cinejosh goes with a 1 Rating for Raajahyogam .

దర్శకుడు రామ్ గణపతి తెరకెక్కించిన క్రైమ్ కామెడీ ఫిల్మ్ ‘రాజయోగం’ (Rajayogam). సాయి రోనక్, అంకిత సాహా ప్రధాన పాత్రల్లో నటించారు.ఈరోజు థియేటర్లలో విడుదలైంది. ఇంతకీ సినిమా కథ ఏంటీ.. ప్రేక్షకులను మెప్పించిందా? లేదా? అన్నది రివ్యూలో చూద్దాం.  

యూత్ ఎంటర్ టైనర్ గా ఈరోజు థియేటర్లలోకి వచ్చిన చిత్రాల్లో ‘రాజయోగం’ ఒకటి. ఇంట్రెస్టింగ్ కథాంశంతో ప్రేక్షకుల ముందుకు వచ్చిన ఈ సినిమా యూత్ ను ఆకట్టుకునేలా టాక్ ను సంపాదించుకుంది. చిన్న సినిమా అయినా.. పెద్ద సినిమా అయినా కథ బాగుంటేనే  ఆడియెన్స్ బ్రహ్మరథం పడుతున్నారు. సూపర్ హిట్ చిత్రంగా నిలబెడుతున్నారు. ఈ క్రమంలో క్రైమ్ కామెడీ జానర్ లో ప్రేక్షకుల ముందుకు వచ్చిన  ఈ మూవీ ఎలా ఉందనేది తెలుసుకుందాం.

ఓ మిడిల్ క్లాస్ కుర్రాడు రిషి (సాయి రోనక్)  మెకానిక్ గా పనిచేస్తుంటాడు. జీవితంలో లగ్జరీ లైఫ్ ను అనుభవించాలనే లక్ష్యంతో ముందుకు వెళ్తుంటాడు. రిచ్ ఫ్యామిలీకి చెందిన యువతిన పెళ్లి చేసుకుని సెటిల్ అవుదామని అనుకుంటాడు. ఈ క్రమంలో ఓ స్టార్ హోటల్ కు కారు డెలివరీకి వెళ్లి కారు ఓనర్ కూతురితోనే లవ్ లో పడతాడు. ఇదే సమయంలో 50 కోట్ల విలువ గల వజ్రాన్ని జేజిక్కించుకునేందుకు రాధా (అజయ్ ఘోష్) తన టీంతో తిరుగుతుంటాడు. ఈ క్రమంలో శ్రీ కూడా రాధాతో వెళ్లిపోతోంది. ఇంతకీ శ్రీ రిషిని వదిలి ఎందుకు వెళ్లిపోయింది.. మళ్లీ ఎప్పుడు కలిశారు? వజ్రాన్ని దక్కించుకునేందుకు ఎలాంటి సవాళ్లను ఎదుర్కొన్నారనేది మిగితా సినిమా.

క్రైమ్ కామెడీ చిత్రాలంటే ప్రేక్షకులు ఎప్పుడూ ఆసక్తిగానే ఉంటారు. ఈ జానర్ లోనే వచ్చిన చిత్రం ‘రాజయోగం’. సినిమా కథకు తగ్గట్టుగానే టైటిట్ ఉండటం విశేషం. మిడిల్ క్లాస్ కుర్రాడు విలాసవంతమైన జీవితం కోసం ప్రేమలో పడటం.. వీరిద్దరూ ఓ వజ్రాల వేటలో చిక్కుకోవడం ఆసక్తిని పెంచుతుంది. కానీ యూత్ నే లక్ష్యంగా చేసుకుని దర్శకుడు రామ్ గణపతి బోల్డ్ కామెడీ, హద్దులు మీరిన రొమాన్స్ తో ఫ్యామిలీ ఆడియెన్స్ కు దగ్గర కాలేకపోయాడు. కామెడీ, రొమాన్స్ సన్నివేశాలు, పలు ట్విస్టులతో ఫస్ట్ ఆఫ్ సరదాగా సాగుతుంది. ఇంటర్వెల్ లో వచ్చే ట్విస్ట్ సెకండాఫ్ పై ఆసక్తిని పెంచుతుంది. కానీ సెకండాఫ్ ఊహించనంత గొప్పగా లేదనిపిస్తుంది. 

ప్లస్, మైనస్ లు :

హీరో సాయి రోనక్, హీరోయిన్ అకింత సాహా అన్ని ఎమోషన్స్ ను పండించారు. కామెడీ, రొమాన్స్, యాక్షన్ తో అలరించారు. కథ చాలా రోటీన్ గానే ఉంది. కథనం కూడా ఓ మాదిరిగా ఉంటుంది. కొత్తదనం చూపించడంలో దర్శకుడు కాస్తా  విఫలం అయ్యాడనిపిస్తోంది.  క్యారెక్టర్స్ ను రూపొందించిన తీరు బాగుటుంది. నేపథ్య సంగీతం ఫర్వాలేదు. సంగీతం అంతగా ఆకట్టుకోలేదు. సినిమాటోగ్రఫీ బాగుంది. ఎడిటింగ్ ఇంకాస్తా మెరుగ్గా ఉంటే బాగుండేది. నిర్మాణ విలువలూ కథకు తగ్గట్టుగానే ఉన్నాయి. ఓవరాల్‌గా మంచి వినోదాన్ని పంచే చిత్రంగా నిలిచింది.

ఇటీవల ఓదెల రైల్వే స్టేషన్ మూవీ ద్వారా ప్రేక్షకాభిమానుల ముందుకి వచ్చి ఆకట్టుకున్న సాయి రోనక్ హీరోగా అంకిత సాహ హీరోయిన్ గా తెరకెక్కిన లేటెస్ట్ మూవీ రాజయోగం. మంచి అంచనాలతో నేడు ప్రేక్షకుల ముందుకి వచ్చిన ఈ మూవీ ఎలా ఉందో ఇప్పుడు చూద్దాం.

రిషి (సాయి రోనాక్) వృత్తి రీత్యా ఒక మెకానిక్, లైఫ్ లో ఎలాగైనా మంచి డబ్బున్న అమ్మాయిని పెళ్లి చేసుకుని సెటిల్ అవ్వాలని భావిస్తుంటాడు. అనంతరం అనుకోకుండా అతడి జీవితంలో శ్రీ (అంకిత సాహ) అనే మంచి డబ్బున్న యువతి తో పరిచయం ఏర్పడడంతో ఆమెను ప్రేమలో పడేయాలని ఆలోచన చేస్తుంటాడు. మరోవైపు రెండు ఖరీదైన వజ్రాల కోసం కొన్ని గ్యాంగ్ ల మధ్య గొడవలు జరుగుతూ ఉంటాయి. అయితే ఆ తరువాత కొన్ని నిజాలు బయటపడడం వలన రిషి, శ్రీ ఇద్దరూ విడిపోతారు. అక్కడి నుండి వారు కొనసాగుతున్న నేరాల్లో పాల్గొనడం, అనంతరం వజ్రాల కోసం జరిగే గొడవల్లో వారి మధ్య చివరికి ఏమి జరిగింది అనేది మిగతా కథ.

ప్లస్ పాయింట్స్ :

నిజానికి ఈ సినిమాకి హీరో సాయి రోనక్ పెద్ద బలం అని చెప్పాలి. అతడి యాక్టింగ్ తో పాటు డ్యాన్స్ వంటివి సినిమాలో అదిరిపోయాయి. స్క్రీన్ పై అందంగా కనపడడంతో పాటు తన మెచ్యూర్ యాక్టింగ్ తో అందరినీ ఆకట్టుకున్నాడు. సినిమాలో కొన్ని కామెడీ సీన్స్ బాగున్నాయి. ఫైట్స్ కంపొజిషన్ కూడా బాగుండడంతో పాటు ఆకట్టుకుంటాయి. ఫస్ట్ హాఫ్ చాలావరకు స్పీడ్ గా సాగడంతో పాటు మధ్యలో కొన్ని అలరించే సీన్స్ ఉన్నాయి. ఇక ఒక ముఖ్య సీన్ లో హీరో రియలైజ్ అయ్యే సన్నివేశం బాగుంటుంది.

మైనస్ పాయింట్స్ :

ఈ సినిమాకి పెద్ద మైనస్ పాయింట్ స్క్రీన్ ప్లే ఆకట్టుకునేలా లేకపోవడం. కొన్ని సీన్స్ అయితే అసలు సినిమాకి ఏ మాత్రం కనెక్షన్ లేని విధంగా ఉండడంతో పాటు సినిమాపై ఆడియన్స్ లో అసహనాన్ని ఏర్పరుస్తాయి. ఇక సెకండ్ హాఫ్ మొత్తం కూడా ఆడియన్స్ ని మరింతగా ఇబ్బండి పెడుతుంది, అసలు కొన్ని సీన్స్ అయితే ఎందుకు పెట్టారో అర్ధం కాదు. రెండు సాంగ్స్ తో పాటు సెకండ్ హాఫ్ లో వచ్చే లవ్ పార్ట్ కూడా ఆకట్టుకోకపోవడంతో పాటు అసహజత్వంగా అనిపిస్తాయి. చాలా వరకు కామెడీ సీన్స్ అలరించకపోవడంతో పాటు అందులో వల్గారిటీ కొన్ని సెక్షన్ ఆఫ్ ఆడియన్స్ కి ఇబ్బందిని కలిగిస్తాయి. సినిమాలో చాలావరకు అడల్ట్ కంటెంట్ సీన్స్ ఉండడంతో పాటు ముఖ్య పాత్రధారుల తాలుకు సన్నివేశాలు గతంలో మనం అనేక సినిమాల్లో చూసిన ఫీల్ ని కలిగిస్తాయి. ఇక సినిమాలో కీలకమైన బ్యాక్ స్టోరీ కూడా ఎంగేజింగ్ గా ఉండదు.

మ్యూజిక్ డైరెక్టర్ అరుణ్ మురళీధరన్ బ్యాక్ గ్రౌండ్ స్కోర్ బాగుంది. సినిమాటోగ్రాఫర్ విజయ్ సి కుమార్ కొన్ని సీన్స్ ని అద్భుతంగా తీశారు. ప్రొడక్షన్ వాల్యూస్ బాగున్నాయి, నిర్మాతలు సినిమా కోసం బాగానే ఖర్చు చేసారు. అయితే సినిమా కోసం ఎడిటింగ్ విభాగం మరింతగా పని చేసి కనీసం ఒక 10 నిమిషాల మేర అయిన సినిమాని ట్రిమ్ చేయాల్సింది. ఇక దర్శకుడు రామ్ గణపతి దర్శకత్వ ప్రతిభ అసలు ఆడియన్స్ ని అలరించదు. కథనంలో ఆయన సెట్ చేసిన ఫన్ బాగున్నప్పటికీ అది చాలా సీన్స్ లో శృతిమించినట్లు అనిపిస్తుంది. అయితే తీసుకున్న పాయింట్ కి మరింత బలమైన పాత్రధారుల తో పాటు హృద్యమైన ఎమోషన్స్ వంటివి ఉంటె తప్పకుండా మూవీ అందరినీ అలరించి ఉండేది.

మొత్తంగా రాజయోగం మూవీ ఏమాత్రం ఆడియన్స్ ని ఆకట్టుకోని సిల్లీ కామెడీ ఎంటర్టైనర్ అని చెప్పాలి. అక్కడక్కడా కొన్ని సీన్స్ తో పాటు హీరోగా నటించిన సాయి రోనాక్ యాక్టింగ్ తప్పించి సినిమాలో ఏమాత్రం ఆసక్తికర కంటెంట్ కానీ పాత్రలు కానీ లేవు. ఈ మూవీ పూర్తిగా ఆడియన్స్ ని డిజప్పాయింట్ చేసే సినిమా.

కథేంటంటే.. రిషి(సాయి రోనక్‌) ఓ మధ్య తరగతి కుటుంబానికి చెందిన యువకుడు. మెకానిక్‌గా పని చేస్తుంటాడు. ఎప్పటికైనా విలాసవంతమైన జీవితాన్ని అనుభవించాలని కలలు కంటాడు. దాని కోసం సంపన్న కుటుంబానికి చెందిన యువతిని ప్రేమించి పెళ్లి చేసుకోవాలనుకుంటాడు. ఓ సారి తను రిపేర్‌ చేసిన కారును ఓనర్‌కి ఇచ్చేందుకై స్టార్‌ హోటల్‌కి వెళ్తాడు. అక్కడ శ్రీ(అంకిత సాహా)ను చూసి ప్రేమలో పడతాడు. అయితే ఆమె మాత్రం  రిషితో శారీరక సుఖాన్ని పొందుతూనే.. డేనియల్‌ (సిజ్జు) వద్ద ఉన్న వజ్రాలను కొట్టేయాలని చూస్తున్న రాధా(అజయ్‌ ఘోష్‌)గ్యాంగ్‌తో వెళ్లిపోతుంది. దీంతో రిషి.. ఎలాగైన శ్రీ అసలు రంగును బయటపెట్టాలనుకుంటాడు. ఈ క్రమంలో రిషికి ఎదురైన సవాళ్లు ఏంటి? రాధా, డేనియల్‌ మధ్య ఉన్న వజ్రాల గొడవ ఏంటి?  డేనియల్ దగ్గర నుంచి రాధా వజ్రాలను కొట్టేశాడా? అందుకు శ్రీ ఎలా ఉపయోగపడింది? రిషి, శ్రీల మధ్యలోకి వచ్చిన ఐశ్వర్య(బిస్మీనాస్‌) ఎవరు?  వజ్రాల గొడవకు, ఐశ్యర్యకు ఎలాంటి సంబంధం ఉంది? తదితర విషయాలు తెలియాలంటే ‘రాజయోగం’ సినిమా చూడాల్సిందే. 

ఎలా ఉందంటే..  క్రైమ్‌ కామెడీ చిత్రాలను టాలీవుడ్‌లో మంచి ఆదరణ ఉంది. అందుకే జోనర్‌లో సినిమాలు ఎక్కువగా వస్తుంటాయి. రాజయోగం కూడా క్రైమ్‌ కామెడీ సినిమానే.  యూత్‌ని ఆకట్టుకునేందుకు రొమాంటిక్‌ సన్నివేశాలు యాడ్‌ చేశారు. వజ్రం కోసం జరిగే వేటలో ఇద్దరు ప్రేమికులు ఎలా ఇరుక్కున్నారు? ఆ వజ్రం ఎవరికి దొరికింది? చివరకు రాజయోగం ఎవరికీ వరించింది అనేదే ఈ సినిమా కథ.

యూత్‌ని టార్గెట్‌గా పెట్టుకొని దర్శకుడు  రామ్‌ గణపతి ఈ కథను అల్లుకున్నాడు. అడల్ట్‌ కామెడీ, మితిమీరిన శృంగారం.. యువతను ఆకట్టుకున్నప్పటికీ.. ఓ వర్గం ప్రేక్షకులను మాత్రం ఇబ్బంది కలిగిస్తాయి. ఫస్టాఫ్‌లో ఈతరం యువతి, యువకుల ఆలోచనలు ఎలా ఉన్నాయి అనేది చూపించారు. హీరో హీరోయిన్ల మధ్య వచ్చే రొమాంటిక్‌ సన్నివేశాలు.. అజయ్‌ ఘోష్‌, చిత్రం శ్రీనుల కామెడీతో ఫస్టాఫ్‌ సరదాగా సాగుతుంది. ఇంటర్వెల్‌ ట్విస్ట్‌ సెకండాఫ్‌పై ఆసక్తిని పెంచుతుంది. అయితే సెకండాఫ్‌లో మాత్రం ఫస్టాఫ్‌లో ఉన్నంత జోష్‌ ఉండదు. సాగదీత సీన్స్‌ ఎక్కువగా ఉంటాయి. హోటల్‌ సీన్‌తో పాటు ఒకటి రెండు సన్నివేశాలు నవ్వించినప్పటికీ.. కథనం మాత్రం రొటీన్‌గా సాగుతుంది.

ఎవరెలా చేశారంటే.. రిషి పాత్రలో సాయి రోనక్‌ ఒదిగిపోయాడు. రొమాన్స్‌, కామెడీ, యాక్షన్‌ ..అన్ని రకాల ఎమోషన్స్‌ని చక్కగా పండించాడు.  ముఖ్యంగా హీరోయిన్‌ అంకితతో కలిసి పండించిన రొమాంటిక్‌ సన్నివేశాలు సినిమాకు హైలెట్‌. అంకిత కూడా ఓ మంచి వైవిధ్యమైన పాత్రలో నటించి ఆకట్టుకుంది. శ్రీ పాత్రలో ఆమె చేసిన రొమాన్స్‌ యూత్‌ని ఆకట్టుకుంటుంది. కేవలం అందాల ఆరబోతకే కాకుండా.. ఎమోషనల్‌ సన్నివేశాల్లో కూడా చక్కగా నటించింది.

విలన్ పాత్రలో డేనియల్ గా సిజ్జు బాగా నటించారు. అలాగే మరో విలన్ పాత్రలో నటించిన అజయ్ ఘోష్ కూడా తన స్టైల్ లో బాగా నటించారు. అజయ్‌ ఘోష్‌, చిత్రం శ్రీను, తాగుబోతు రమేశ్‌, షకలక శంకర్‌ల మధ్య వచ్చే కామెడీ సన్నివేశాలు నవ్వులు పూయిస్తాయి. మిగిలిన నటీనటులు తమ పాత్రల పరిధిమేర నటించారు. సాంకేతిక విషయానికొస్తే..  అరుణ్ మురళీధరన్ నేపథ్య సంగీతం బాగుంది. సిధ్ శ్రీరామ్‌ ఆలపించిన రొమాంటిక్ సాంగ్ ఆకట్టుకుంటుంది. సినిమాటోగ్రఫీ బాగుంది. ఎడిటర్‌ తన కత్తెరకు ఇంకాస్త పని చెప్పాల్సింది. ముఖ్యంగా సెకండాఫ్‌ని మరింత క్రిస్పీగా కట్‌ చేయాల్సింది. నిర్మాణ విలువలు సినిమా స్థాయికి తగ్గట్టు ఉన్నాయి.

Raja Yogam Movie Review: అదృష్టం, దురదృష్టం మధ్యనే జీవితాలు సాగుతూ ఉంటాయి. కూటికి లేని పేదవాడు కోట్లకు పడగలెత్తవచ్చు. కోట్లలో నానుతూ ఉన్నా, మనశ్శాంతి లేకుండానూ పోవచ్చు. ఇలాంటి కథలతో పలు చిత్రాలు రూపొందాయి. లక్ కిక్కుతో ‘రాజయోగం’ పట్టిన ఓ యువకుని కథే ఇది.

హీరో ఓ మెకానిక్. కానీ, చూడటానికి అందంగా, హుందాగా కనిపిస్తూ ఉంటాడు. దాంతో అతడిని చూసిన వారెవరూ అతను మెకానిక్ అని భావించరు. బాగా డబ్బున్నవాడే అనుకుంటూ ఉంటారు. అలాంటి హీరోను పిలిచి ఓ కారు ఓనర్, కారును ఓ ఫైవ్ స్టార్ హోటల్ లో ఇచ్చి రమ్మంటాడు. లాబీలో పార్కు చేసిన హీరో, కారు తాళాన్ని ఇవ్వడానికి ఓ గదికి వెళతాడు. అక్కడ అందమైన అమ్మాయిలు, అబ్బుర పరిచే వైనాలు చూసిన హీరో తబ్బిబ్బయి పోతాడు. కారు ఓనర్ వచ్చే దాకా, నాలుగు రోజులు ఎంజాయ్ చేయవచ్చని ఆశిస్తాడు హీరో. అక్కడ ఓ అందమైన అమ్మాయి తగులుతుంది. ఆమె ఇతనో బిలియనీర్ అని భావించి, అతనికి తన సర్వస్వమూ అర్పిస్తుంది. తరువాత ఒకరికొకరు నిజం తెలుసుకుంటారు. వారి మధ్యలో ఓ ముఠా వస్తుంది. వందల కోట్లు విలువ చేసే వజ్రాలను మార్చేపనిలో ఆ ముఠా ఉంటుంది. ఆ హోటల్ లోనే ఈ కథ సాగుతూ ఉండగా, మరో అమ్మాయి కూడా ఆ వజ్రాల కోసం వెదుకుతూ ఉంటుంది. చివరకు ఆ ముఠాలో ఒకరినొకరు చంపుకుంటారు. వందల కోట్ల విలువైన వజ్రాలు దొరికినా, సింపుల్ లైఫ్ గడపాలన్నదే హీరో అభిలాష. అందుకు అతని ప్రేయసి అంగీకరించదు. తనకు డబ్బే సర్వస్వం అంటుంది. దాంతో ఆమెకు గుడ్ బై చెబుతాడు హీరో. తరువాత ఆ వజ్రాలు దొరికిన అమ్మాయి తన ఫ్లాష్ బ్యాక్ చెబుతుంది. ఆ వజ్రాలు తమ వంశానికి చెందినవేనని, ఊరికి ఉపకారం చేసే తన తండ్రి, బాబాయ్ ని చంపేసి వజ్రాలు అపహరించారని, వారి చావు చూడడం కోసమే తాను వచ్చానని వివరిస్తుంది. తనకు ఈ వజ్రాల కన్నా ఉన్నదానితో సంతృప్తిగా జీవించడం చాలంటుంది. హీరో ఆమెను తనకు అసలైన జోడీ అని భావిస్తాడు.

కొత్తవారితో సినిమా రూపొందించేటప్పుడు తప్పకుండా కొత్తదనం పాలు హెచ్చుగా ఉండేలా చూసుకోవాలి. ‘రాజయోగం’లో అది మిస్ అయిందనే చెప్పాలి. దర్శకుడు రామ్ గణపతి కొన్ని సన్నివేశాలను భలేగా తెరకెక్కించారు. ముఖ్యంగా యువతను లక్ష్యం చేసుకొని హీరో, తనకు పరిచయమైన అమ్మాయితో సాగించిన కిస్సింగ్ సీన్స్ కుర్రకారును ఆకర్షిస్తాయి. హీరో సాయి రోనక్ తన నటనతో పరవాలేదనిపించాడు. నాయికలు అంకిత సాహా, బిస్మి నాస్ అందచందాలతో ఆకట్టుకొనే ప్రయత్నం చేశారు. చాలా ఏళ్ళ తరువాత రచయిత చింతపల్లి రమణ ఈ సినిమాలో తన మాటలు వినిపించడం విశేషం!

A black-and-white, neorealist-inspired tragicomic melodrama about an abused wife in post-second world war Rome, There’s Still Tomorrow has been a smash hit in Italy (it topped the box office in 2023). While the Italian success was in part due to the profile of director, star and national treasure Paola Cortellesi, who plays put-upon mum of three Delia, the film’s emotional heft, bittersweet comedy and tone of hard-bitten romance could appeal to UK fans of Elena Ferrante’s sagas.

Cortellesi, who cut her teeth as a sketch show comedian, finds humour in tragedy: domestic abuse, poverty, disappointment. It doesn’t always work – positioning spousal violence for lols is a fairly bold directorial gamble – but Cortellesi’s charisma and the message of empowerment carry the film.
