The honest review of VJTI !

  • The activities which is conducted in vjti is just wow ! And very much interesting it just helps the students to develop individual personality and also helps us to grow more in life.and built up the confidence on the another level and very much good
  • The mess is just wow ! The food provided by the clg mess is just wow and very much delicious.ane also affordable like we need to pay 100 rupees pr day that included breakfast dinner and lunch .that 3,000 per month need to pay and food is too tasty...
  • The campus colour and building is so old so I want that they should change the infrastructure completely becoz this is the only weak point of vjti other than that vjti is just 10/10 in every sense .The infrastructure must change soon .Hope so it will
  • The building should be renovated newly soon .

I have chosen the textile technology as I am interested in fashion and all .by the way the course curriculum is just wow and much very much interesting and I enjoys it .Teachers always teaches the subjects in a enjoyable way.

The college it good for making lots of memories and friends.

  • The environment as we have a lot of greenary around here.
  • The friends I made as I'm super happy with my college life.
  • Teaching methods as most of the time the lectures are really boring.
  • Too many assignments or work load, because of which we don't have any extra time.

The course and syllabus is pretty easy if you study hard enough. It is updated and you are most likely to get a good pointer as teachers help you throughout whenever you need help. Some of the subjects need improvement as they seem to be outdated.

Angel Maria

St Xavier's College -A review

  • The crowd of the college is very good. There is no ragging of anything of that sort .Seniors are very helpful.
  • All activities, committees, and fests including Malhar is conducted fully by students.
  • Placement opportunities are less than what is believed.Even though many companies visit they take only very few people
  • The campus has a strict dress policy. You have to wear ID cards at all times and sleeveless dress, shorts and everything is not allowed.

The curriculum goes in depth and is kind of hard.Exams happen frequently that is every month we will have exams one way or the other. There are two CIA s(internal exam) before the final end semester exams. The question pattern is hard and difficult.

Ninad Darekar

My College Experience (So far)

  • I feel that the faculty is well enough in teaching as I my lectures have just started a week ago.
  • The infrastructure of the college is commendable, no issues in that.
  • On the basis of my one week of experience, I think the infrastructure is great but the college needs to improve the quality of the students washrooms and rethink about the cleanliness of it.
  • The ratio of boys and girls is a thing to talk upon, because I think it is unfair. In my specific class there are basically 10-15 girls and in comparison boys have a great collective number of 40-45.

In this specific topic our Indian Education system is far behind. Everybody knows that the subjects which are teached to the students are of no use in the student's future. And I too have the same perspective about this. The curriculum which is assigned for me is almost of no use in my future. The things which actually matter are the extracurricular activities which are performed. These activities give a peek to the real-world applications. I think the curriculum should be given a restructure.

Varad Parikh

College review of VJTI

  • The location of college is very premium and accessible to everything
  • The infrastructure of college and hostel is too old

I have choosen electronics engineering, I think faculty is not too good. College needs to upgrade faculty and also the management to improve the course structure of the college. Exams are not too difficult

SOMAIYA - The student's choice

  • I like my college's Campus and sports complex.
  • I like my canteen. We have 4 canteens in somaiya.
  • I dislike the distance between my home and college as I live at thane.
  • I dislike the the fact that there is no non veg.

The course that I am doing is Bcom and and according to relevancy the course isn't that relevant as most students who opt for bcom are mostly CA or CS students because of which the course isn't relevant for them. But the curriculum is fantastic and it opens many opportunities for the students. The improvement of course can be found in the difficulty level as many students underestimate this course because of the level of difficulty. This course is 3 year course.

Priyanka Ghanchi

Student life and academic balance

  • Some teachers don't teach in good method so that it can understand easily but some teachers are clear the concept with some practices and practicals also they are taking but sometimes when we ask they become rude
  • There is low interaction because very low students come to college and they are just coming for attendance
  • They give basically low placement not much
  • They conduct seminars daily at college and many activities like ad mad financial games stock market seminars

Accounts is the main reason I chose that subject .because there is a opportunity to get jobs in accountants or in banking sector.curriculam prepares very well .basic concepts to be improved and teaching methods are also very difficult to understand. The exams are very early due to that I can't complete course in a month also

Abhin

Study with Pillai college of engineering

  • Jamsmmdmdmjdjjdndnndnndnndndnxnxnxndndnd
  • There are multiple events and college have more girls than boys
  • College facilities are not up to notch.!
  • Professors are ofc hella pervs but not all of em

The reason I chose this college was it was autonomous and it doesn't come under MU though it is. But the papers are all prepared by our college faculties. We get only a month before a term of a sem, and they would be still covering up topics 2 days before exam. Although this applies only for engineering students. And only if u have 75% attendance rate than you are allowed to give exam.

Pillai clg ki duniya

  • Hardworking faculty they are well trained and provide us with quality education.
  • College canteen they provide us with best food.

As our clg is a autonomous one our clg has the previllage to decide its own curriculum which is really helpful because all we study makes sense as the sequence in which they have pre-planned the curriculum makes very much sense

University of Dayton to phase out select graduate programs

by Jeffery Schrock

University leaders sent a message to faculty and staff following a regularly scheduled fall semester faculty and staff meeting.

DAYTON, Ohio (WKEF) -- The University of Dayton announced Friday that certain master's and doctoral programs will be discontinued, and certain non-tenure track faculty contracts will not be extended for the 2025–2026 academic year.

University leaders sent a message to faculty and staff following a regularly scheduled fall semester faculty and staff meeting.

The pressures on higher education, especially as a private Midwestern university, require us to adapt to preserve our mission. While some changes will leverage new opportunities, others will be more difficult. We approach these changes from a position of relative institutional strength; unlike many private institutions, we are not running a deficit. While our credit ratings are strong and our long-term assets, including our restricted endowment are healthy, these are not appropriate to use as long-term solutions to offset pressures on our annual operating budget and improve an uncomfortably thin operating margin. We must bring our expenses in line with the realities of the current market

In a statement, the University citied fewer high school graduates, fierce price competition from flagship public universities, and other economic challenges negatively impacting many families’ ability or willingness to pay private tuition for these cuts.

The university's statement went on to say that graduate academic affairs has recommended discontinuing or consolidating some graduate programs. This includes 20 master’s programs with an average of four or fewer students, and three doctoral programs with an average of fewer than one student.

Notifications will be made as soon as possible, but no later than March 15, which is the customary contract issuance date.

These decisions and changes are difficult, but must be implemented now to avoid a budget deficit and the harm to our mission any such deficit would cause. We remain committed to keeping you informed in the coming months and managing these transitions with as much advance notice, support and care as possible

University leaders stated its adapting to a dramatically changed higher education environment and are investing in even stronger student support as they intentionally become a modestly smaller institution.

A new pilot program will provide students with a dedicated navigator and support team to enhance their success. The university also is focused on offering deeper and more frequent experiential learning opportunities to strengthen students’ skills and career prospects. These programs will scale to be made available to all undergraduates.

University of Dayton is among a list of universities having to face cuts in programs.

Wittenberg University announced plans in August to cut 75 faculty and staff due to necessary budget reductions. The cuts are expected to include 30 faculty and 45 staff.

A finalized plan is expected by Sept. 15.
