How it works, the certification lifecycle.

Most Cisco certifications are active for three years. You can keep your certification active by recertifying at any point during those three years. CE credits are one of several ways to work toward your recertification.

CCST certifications are valid for life and do not need to be recertified.

How to earn CE credits

CE credits are awarded when you complete qualifying Cisco training. You can continue to complete training, or combine your CE credits with an exam to complete recertification.

How CE credits are applied

You must complete all requirements for recertification by your certification expiration date. Credits accumulate until you recertify your highest level of certification. At that point, all certifications at that level and below become recertified.

How “pending” CE credits work

If you let a certification expire, you must complete the full examination process again to earn active status. Any ‘Pending’ CE credits at the time of expiration will retroactively apply towards recertification based on the activity completion date once your claim is validated.

The Patient Care Specialist (PCS) provides direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN) and accepts delegation from care team members: physicians, advanced practice providers, RN, LPN, MA in meeting the needs of the patient/family. The direct care role includes providing care, collecting and documenting patient care data and communicating information to patients, families, and care team members. In the indirect patient care role, the PCS supports the unit by helping to maintain the environment of care and performing unit-based clerical duties. The PCS demonstrates strong organizational skills and teamwork. A commitment to continuous learning, quality, and excellence are important components of this role. Utilization of multiple computer applications is required. This role will work with patients throughout the life span with multiple conditions.

18 years old. Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Basic computer skills and experience with other technological devices (i.e. cell phone, laptop, etc.). Ability to work irregular hours (days, evenings, holidays, weekends). Self-motivated/independent. Able and willing to work with all populations served. Occupational Summary

The Program Manager, along with the Regulatory Director, DUHS Compliance Office, is responsible for managing various aspects of clinical-related conflict of interest (COI) at the individual physician level. The Program Manager will work proactively and independently yet collaboratively with the Director, Chief Compliance Officer and clinical department leadership to identify and manage COI. Responsibilities include ongoing assessment and continuous improvement of institutional policies, procedures, and workflows related to the identification and management of COI.

Work Performed

  • Serve as the reviewer for evaluation by conducting detailed assessments of the potential COI and develop potential options for COI management.
  • Develop, implement, monitor and improve policies and procedures to ensure effective communication and management of clinical-related COI with Clinical Departments.
  • Design and implement educational programs for faculty and staff on COI-related federal regulations and DUHS policies and procedures.
  • Monitor performance metrics and work with the Director on identified process improvements
  • Develop and revise of COI-related processes; design, implement and modify workflows and processes in response to recommendations.
  • Develop and implement a risk-based COI monitoring program
  • Work with the Office of Research Integrity and OASIS to inform 1) further development and maintenance of the COI administrative database and related workflows, 2) integration with other research administrative systems, and 3) development of reporting capabilities for monitoring efficiency.
  • Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein

Minimum Qualifications

Work requires a minimum of 4 years (5) years preferred in research in operations in a university environment involving federal and industry sponsors.  OR EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Work requires the ability to plan administer programs and direct program activities within a specific functional area, generally acquired through four years of related experience. OR ANY OTHER EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Must be capable of working independently with proven written and oral communications skills. Proven ability to work with faculty and DUHS and Clinical Department administration in a collaborative manner across organizational boundaries. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills are essential.

This solicitation seeks proposals for the Discovery Research PreK-12 program’s Resource Center (DRK-12 RC) on Transformative Education Research and Translation. 

The DRK-12 RC will be an intellectual partner as NSF seeks to enhance the overall influence and reach of the DRK-12 Program’s research and development investments. In this partner role, the DRK-12 RC will support and recruit diverse, multi-sector constituencies with the goal of achieving the field-, knowledge-, and partnership-building aims of the DRK-12 program.  Further, it is expected that the Resource Center on Transformative Education Research and Translation will play a central role in helping the DRK-12 Program to:

(1) identify and share promising resources, tools, approaches, and research findings with teachers, school leaders and administrators and policymakers for feedback, strategic use and the advancement of science;

(2) facilitate communication and collaboration among current, former, and prospective DRK-12 award recipients as a means of building STEM education researchers’ capacity to conduct rigorous and meaningful work across the full range of project types supported by the program; and

(3) further raise the national visibility of the DRK-12 program's goals and impacts.

The DRK-12 RC is expected to work collaboratively with NSF and the DRK-12 Program’s constituent communities—including other NSF resource hubs and centers—to design, implement, and evaluate these three broad activities.
