Task 2 IELTS Sample Essay: Smoking

by faysal ahmad (dhaka bangladesh)

which makes para lashed our body smoke infornt of their family member
smoking is a dangerous bad habit.it contains nicotine.it causes different diseases and damages our brain and lungs.

This is my answer

There is no doubt that tobacco smoking has serious sequlae not for the smoker himself but also for those who are nearby, so it is certainly a harmful habit. Personally, i completely agree with this.

To begin, the most important drawback of smoking is the health related problems it causes. Studies show that it is the cause of lung cancer which is the most common cancer in men. Not only this, it is related to the cancers of other body parts like mouth and throat. In addition to that , many respiratory diseases including respiratory failure are attributed to smoking. Futhermore, its health effects also affects passive smokers that is considerd unfair.

The other two negative effects are economical and social. First of all, smokers spend a large proportion of their income on buying tobacco especially for high quality ones, that is considered as a waste of money. This is particularly true for those with low income, and as result their families will be affected. Regarding social aspect, smokers usually have bad odors and this makes them unacceptable.

In conclusion, I am convinced that smoking is a serious problem and has life threating consequences. I hope that measures should be done to tackle this dangerous habit.

Health Implications

Banning of smoking in public places, learn more about study abroad, popular study abroad destinations, sample 1 on should smoking be banned in public places essay.

Some say 'smoking in public areas should be banned' while others go against the ban. Discuss both sides and give your opinion.

Tip : It is an opinion-based topic. Here, both sides need to be discussed, and finally, the opinion of the test-taker should be discussed.

Smoking is quite common among the younger generations today. But it has detrimental health impacts on both the smoker and any other person who inhales the smoke. The idea that 'smoking in public should be banned, is supported as well as opposed by many people. I believe smoking in public cannot be completely banned, but there can be a middle path.

There are convincing arguments in favor of the ban because smoking ultimately leads to serious health crises. Supporters of the ban have various reasons to state.

Firstly, smoking is injurious to health. The main cause of lung cancer is smoking tobacco. Active smokers also suffer from other diseases like tuberculosis and heart problems. The symptoms may take time to show up, but it eventually leads to a major crisis. It does not affect only the smoker but also the people around the smoker. Both active and passive smokers can fall ill, and this calls for huge support for a blanket ban on smoking in public places.

Secondly, smoking is an addiction that influences non-smokers, too. Anything that becomes an addiction is not at all safe, and it tends to spread quickly. Peer and colleague group influences are very common in forming smoking habits. It is very easy to pick up smoking when one stays among smokers for long. People spend plenty of time in public areas. Hence, smoking should be banned in public areas to avoid such negative influences.

Lastly, non-smokers feel very stressed when among smokers. It becomes difficult for pregnant women, senior citizens, and children, to adjust to an environment that is filled with cigarette smoke. It irritates non-smokers of various age groups. Smoking in public should be banned as it leads to annoyance to a large extent.

Nevertheless, some people oppose this ban too.

Firstly, they are unhappy about giving away their rights to smoke. They believe that such a ban would make them feel deprived of their individual rights.

Secondly, people against the ban on smoking in public areas say that cigarettes are sold and advertised publicly, and banning them will not make any difference. “Why can’t the government ban cigarettes completely if smoking in public is not allowed?”

Thirdly, they argue on terms like it becomes difficult to give up due to addiction. There are many incidents where severe health conditions are reported by active smokers, due to nicotine withdrawal. It is not easy to give up on smoking if someone does it regularly.

Fourthly, it will be an expensive affair to ban public smoking and impose new rules. Hence, they feel that the best solution is to keep active smokers separated from the general public.

Considering both sides of the argument, I feel there should be designated smoking zones in public areas. The bus stands, shopping malls, restaurants, and offices must have separate smoking zones so that addicted smokers are not affected or deprived.

IELTS IDIOMS GUIDE

Sample 2 on  ‘Smoking Should be Banned in Public Places IELTS Essay’

Some businesses restrict smoking inside office spaces. Do you agree or disagree with this step taken by the businesses? Give reasons for your opinion.

Tip: It is an opinion-based topic. Here, both sides need to be discussed, and finally, the opinion of the test-taker should be discussed.

Sample essay:

Corporate offices often see groups of individuals discussing issues while smoking. Is it a habit, or does smoking help you brainstorm? Well, for non-smokers, it should be banned, and for smokers, it is almost office culture.

Many companies, firms, and government offices have restricted smoking inside office spaces. I feel it can be addressed with some other effective measures.

There are certain seemingly positive sides to smoking during work hours. It is believed that smoking improves concentration and helps employees relax after long meetings or completion of projects. There is constant stress regarding deadlines, appraisal, and targets at work. In such a scenario, smoking is supposed to reduce stress.

Nicotine is a stimulant and smoking during office hours might keep employees in an active and elevated mood. Some projects may demand employees to stay awake late at night and work. In such a situation, employees don't feel drowsy and sleepy due to the nicotine boost.

Despite all these positive sides, there are alarming negative aspects too.

Firstly, smoking is harmful to health. It is one of the main reasons behind the increasing number of lung cancer cases globally. Diseases like tuberculosis and various cardiovascular health issues are caused by prolonged smoking habits. It does not only affect the smoker but also the people who spend time around smokers. Passive smokers face detrimental impacts too when they come in contact with smokers.

Secondly, the non-smokers feel uncomfortable in public spaces filled with cigarette smoke. It causes them stress. It is also very annoying, particularly for pregnant women and senior citizens in the office areas.

The debate between smokers and non-smokers can stop only when the authorities plan something fruitful. A strict ban on smoking will do no good. It will instill a sense of anger and disappointment among smokers if their rights are taken away suddenly. Similarly, the health impact of passive smokers cannot be ignored. In my opinion, office spaces and public areas should have separate smoking zones. This way, non-smokers will not have any problems and smokers can also relax.

Bonus Essay Topic

Smoking has been a primary source of dopamine release for humans for a very long time. As the decades passed, the harmful effects of smoking became a concern for people. A major issue that arose was related to the health of passive smokers.

This became a reason for stirring debates on public health, individual rights, and societal welfare. Hence, “should smoking be banned in public places” - raises a great question mark among groups of smokers and non-smokers. This essay delves deep into finding the solutions behind this question, concluding what might be best for mankind.

Firstly, it cannot be denied that smoking poses a great risk to human life. Creating serious health issues and leading to major illnesses like cancer is not at all beneficial. Despite knowing its drawbacks, people prefer smoking for various reasons. However, smoking in public places often affects the health of those who do not indulge in it.

Passive smoking is a process through which non-smokers are exposed to serious health risks when they inhale smoke unknowingly from a person smoking nearby. This raises concerns regarding their individual rights and health issues.

The unwanted inhalation of harmful smoke by non-smokers due to individuals smoking in public areas raises various concerns. However, various proponents of personal freedom argue against the banning of smoking in public places. The concern raised is whether people are not free enough to make their own choices and decisions related to smoking.

This makes banning smoking in public places a more complex issue. However, if closely looked at, putting a ban on smoking in public places has a lot of advantages. Smoke-free environments promote social cohesion and make a space accessible to all. Moreover, it can also reduce the normalization of smoking in various sectors.

The ban on smoking in public places will also discourage youth from indulging in such harmful habits. Therefore, banning smoking in public places comes with a lot of advantages.

However, opponents believe that banning smoking will ultimately affect the economy of the country. Since tobacco consumption generates a major chunk of revenue in various countries, discouraging it might lead to less revenue.

Despite the multiple views of people regarding the banning of smoking, various countries have already started implementing smoking bans in public places. In countries like Australia, Canada, and the United Kingdom, smoke-free legislation has been established to control tobacco consumption in the country.

Therefore, banning smoking can be a major consideration on a global level for various countries. It will not only reduce health risks but also encourage individuals to quit smoking.

I feel that smoking should be banned in public places owing to its negative effects on entire communities.

Smoking should be banned in public places because of the pollution it creates. Firstly, it leads to the release of toxic smoke and other pollutants into the atmosphere. Secondly, littering of cigarette butts leads to soil and water contamination alike. Thirdly, people who are non-smokers, are exposed to passive smoke for no fault of theirs and contract respiratory ailments in turn. Fourthly, banning public smoking will lower the incidence of fatalities and serious disease, lowering the strain on Governmental healthcare resources and costs of the same.

Banning public smoking will also set a more positive example for the younger generations who will be less likely to pick up the habit. Hence, I firmly believe that Governments should set examples by banning public smoking and setting the tone for a healthier tomorrow.

IELTS Writing Task 2 Sample Answer: Smoking

This is an IELTS Writing Task 2 Sample Answer from the real IELTS exam about the topic of smoking.

For this one, i’ve written my own sample answer with analysis and provided some vocabulary activities., a lot of my sample answers tend to be 300 or more words. i think writing 300 words is a good goal and it is possible to fully support your argument with that many words., but for this one i tried to write it much closer to 250 words – just 260 in fact, you can also read a high level writing sample (band 7) and my corrections on it for the 4 band descriptors: task achievement, grammar, vocabulary, cohesion and coherence., you can read here  my other writing task 2 samples ., here are my task 1 sample answers ., consider supporing my efforts to write these essays but signing up for my exclusive ielts ebooks here on patreon., best of luck.

Ielts writing task 2 sample answer  (smoking), the best way to prevent people from smoking is to impose high taxes on tobacco products. in this way, people will be less likely to develop a long-term addiction to smoking., to what extent do you agree or disagree.

Some have suggested that the best method of reducing the number of smokers is for governments to raise taxes. Although there are economic disadvantages, I believe that this will have the greatest impact. The economic disadvantage of increasing taxes on smoking is that it will hurt the large tobacco industries in countries like the United States. In the USA, Phillip Morris, the largest tobacco company in the world, provides thousands of jobs and pays large taxes on its revenue to prop up state and federal budgets. If taxes on tobacco had their desired effect then many people would lose their jobs and budgets would be slashed. This is a sacrifice that many might be willing to accept but that would be nonetheless negative. Despite the aforementioned drawbacks, raising the cost of smoking is the best way to reduce smoking. A good example of this can be seen in a comparison of countries with little or no tax on tobacco products with those with high taxes. Indonesia famously has a particularly high number of smokers and the main reason for this is that the tobacco lobbies have blocked tax legislation, keeping the price of a pack below a dollar. In many European countries, smoking is on the decline because few can justify paying more than ten dollars for a pack of cigarettes. In conclusion, although it might have a negative impact on the economy and jobs, raising taxes on tobacco related goods will reduce smoking. If more governments embraced this approach, they would reap future rewards in reduced spending for medicare.

Undoubtedly, everyone will agree that smoking is injurious to health. Both active and passive smokers are affected due to the smoke of cigarettes. Hence, numerous people have an opinion to ban smoking in public areas. I am also in complete accord with this statement for myriad reasons. In the upcoming paragraphs, I shall be justifying my reasons with proper explanations and examples.

Out of all the reasons, the foremost one is smoking is a dangerously bad habit which can cause several serious diseases like lung cancer, mouth cancer and many more. Moreover, the chemicals in tobacco damage airways of lungs, blood cells and also weaken the immune system. With the passage of time, it causes serious harm to person’s health. If smoking ban is imposed in public area, then it will improve the people’s health. Furthermore, smoking can be reduced as the smokers will have to go in private area.

Additionally, it has been universally proved that passive smoking is more dangerous and affects the person’s health. To add to this, there should be separate places for smokers to smoke. This problem has been realised by many organisations like IT companies because they offer separate smoking areas to their employees who smoke so that other employees will not suffer. Recent surveys conducted by human health department India, shows that 80% of the smoking population tries to quit the smoking at least once in their lifetime, however, they are unable to achieve it.

To recapitulate, it can be finally said that restriction of smoking publicly helps both the smokers as well as non-smokers. I believe that the government should implement strict laws to ban smoking publicly and run campaigns so that people will be aware of the consequences. Consecutively, it will improve well-being index of the country.

Thanks & Regards, Ishika Goel

The smoke of Cigarettes are very deleterious to all especially those who situated around smokers, thus practising of smoking in open places should be prohibited. I believe forbidding smoking in the public place can be fruitful for individuals. Firstly, this essay shall discuss how dangerous for people to perform such thing in an open place and secondly it will argue that impact of this practice influence negatively on the young generation. Since the introduction of cigarettes, people have a different view towards purchasing this harmful thing some buy to release the stress, showing royalty and few are addictives. Unfortunately for others, they are just victim of this process so higher authority should ban this activity in public places such as the theatres, malls, food chain restaurants and etcetera. An individual suffering from lung diseases due to breathing excessive toxic air, in the year 2014 the university of Oxford declared that five in fifty people around the globe face this kind of toxic challenge which resulted in lung cancer and multiple diseases. Thus, smoking in a public place is hazardous to one’s health and injury to others. In addition, the impact of such a negative environment is very unhealthy for teenage especially those who enrolling for tertiary and finishing their secondary education. I reckon this category of people is very risky to adopt such a bad habit in their lives. For instance, major consumers of cigarettes are youth according to the seller of a pioneer owner of cigarettes revealed in 2017. Therefore, the development of public smoking is not injurious to health but equally destroying our young generation. To conclude, the government should implement such a protective rule to abandon this activity, which silently killing many people.

Smoking is an expensive habit which pollutes the environment and carries serious health risk, yet a third of the men in the world smoke. It is also a sad fact that one in five teenagers take up the habit when they are as young as 11. Of course, there is one interest group, the tobacco industry, which is more than happy with this situation, since its profits depend on our addiction to cigarettes.

These statistics are particularly depressing because the link between smoking and cancer, heart disease and other serious illnesses has been known for many years. We must also remember that apart from harming the individual, smoking represents a huge cost to society. The money we spend on treating smoking-related disease could be used for much better purposes, such as helping to feed the world’s poor or paying for medical research.

So why, despite all the evidence, do people still smoke? The obvious answer is that cigarettes are highly addictive, so that it can be extremely difficult to give up. Another answer is the power of peer pressure, especially amongst young people. In my view, the most important thing is to discourage people from starting to smoke, and we could do this be increasing the tax on tobacco and banning cigarette advertising. I also feel that people who want to quit should be given as much advice and support as possible.

In conclusion, I believe that we should do everything we can to reduce the number of smokers in society. However, it is not enough to provide information about health risks, we also need to use a variety of strategies to tackle the problem.

Nowadays, many people become smoke addicts. The reasons for smoking vary from being a “fashionable” habit to conforming to your friends. Sometimes, parents set a bad example to their own children and are unable to quit smoking themselves. But governments and non-governmental organisations should unite powers and help addicts smoke less.

Smoking increases the risk of cancer, damages the foetus of pregnant women, makes teeth become yellow and rises the risk of impotence among men. What is more, smoking is extremely dangerous and unhealthy for surrounding people who inevitably breathe the cigarette smoke. Children and teenagers are often curious. They witness their own parents or teachers smoke and want to try it for themselves. The image of a woman smoking a cigarette in movies which is represented as being attractive is stuck in many girls’ minds. Thus, adolescents expose themselves to all the risks smoking brings.

Increasing prices of cigarettes and cigars is the first step for a healthier generation. Less people will be able to afford keeping their bad habit. Moreover, governments should ban smoking in public places. Tighter control should be forced on tobacco retailers. It is not surprising that cigarettes are being sold to children without any scruples. Retailers chase higher profits and are ignorant about the age of their customers. I think, pregnant women should also be banned from buying cigarettes since their children suffer from the devastating effects of tobacco smoke and often become addicts when they grow up in the future. Smoking does not has to necessarily be made illegal as many people who are already addicted would be at a disadvantage, but smoking should be turned into a luxurious choice for those who have the money and lungs to afford it.

In conclusion, I strongly support the idea of tighter control over society which would lead to a drop into the number of avid smokers. Everyone should have the freedom to smoke as long as they do not harm those around them, especially their own children.

Cigarette smoking is one of the major concerns in most of the countries. Despite knowing the consequences, people are still addicted to this habit.

Every year million of dollars is spent on medical expenditure to cure diseases occurred due to cigarette smoking. The government spends a large portion of money on the advertisements to stop people from smoking cigarette. This money could be better used on food and other important activities. Smoking not only affects the active smokers, but also the passive smokers. It is said that passive smokers get more affected by the cigarette smoke. Every third person is found to be a smoker and every fifth teenager up the age of eleven get into this habit, which is, a serious concern in many countries.

To overcome this issue, various measures can be taken. Firstly, advertisements on cigarettes should be banned and more advertisements on the harmful effects of the cigarette should be shown on the televisions. Secondly, a zero-tolerance ban on cigarette smoking should be imposed in public places. This will be a great relief for passive smokers. Thirdly, special awareness classes for all the students in the school to make them aware about its consequences. Finally, a high taxes should be imposed on all tobacco products. The high prices of tobacco will help to some extent to reduce the consumption of it.

In conclusion, a big effort should come from the government and the society to overcome this serious issue, but, the main effort should come from the people who are cigarette smokers. Especially those who want to leave this dangerous habit.

The damage of tobacco has almost known clearly through media, and internet. It pollutes the environment and carious serious healthy for not only smokers but also non-smokers. It is also a sad fact one in five teenagers take up the habit when they are as young as 11. Unfortunately, there is one interest group, the tobacco business, which is more than happy with our addiction to cigarettes which bring many profits for them. Date to date, researchers and organizations who usually give evidence damage of tobacco, which noticed that have linking between smoking and cancer, heart disease and other serious illnesses, and especially for non-smokers who called with a name on passive-smoking. One particular example for this situation: the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) release a long-awaited report on passive smoking, they resulted that Passive smoking causes 3000 deaths a year from lung cancer in the US alone. Moreover, smoking is an expensive habit, its representative huge cost for society. Government and individual have to paid for buying cigarette and treating smoking-diseases, this money may be used for better purposes such as: paying for adapt climate change methods research, helping to feed the world’s poor people. However, following give-up smokers quantity statistics in many years, they resulted that is not decrease much lower than our expectance and especially, almost people in 11-19 years old who cannot give up. The obvious answer is that cigarettes are highly addictive, so that it extremely difficult to live without them. I also absolutely agree with Vietnam government on increasing tobacco’s tax, banning cigarette advertising, forbidding smoke in public area, organizing damage of tobacco communications. If people want to quit smoke, they need to have patience, determination and their family’s support and encouragement. We live on modern society with many new dangerous ills and serious pollution environment. Solving the damage of tobacco is not only responsible of government but also individual. These actions bring fresh and bright home for our children’s children.

To live longer, one has to be healthy and to be healthy you have to chose the right healthy life style that will not only make live longer but also live happier. Smoking is one of the most devastating problems we now face in our modern societies. What helps in this is the it is mostly available for everyone, even teens under 18. This is not only the reason, also because there is less care from the parents.

Some of the parents themselves smoke due to life pressures and responsibilities,as a result children mainly try to copy their parents.I also believe that governments should try to increase health awarance, not especially by advicing and persuading their citizens not to smoke or by mentioning to them the disadvantages of smoking. They may just place high taxes on ciggerates and therefore force people to either pay more or buy less, that would undoubtedly make some people to cut-back on ciggerets.

The government should also inform people that the high taxes to make up for the damages they make, for instance pollution, the person who smokes doesnt only ruin or damage his lungs but also affect the people surrounded by him. The fume the other person inhales can defintely have a really bad effect on his lungs.

To sum up this , i strongly believe that people should take care of their health and understand the consequences of smoking, and put in their considerations that it doesn’t only hurt the smoker but also the surronders in general. So it is better to stop smoking to live a healthy longer life.

Despite health warnings, a large number of people continue to smoke all over the world. Why should we be concerned about this? What solutions would you suggest? Give reason for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

It is sad, yet undeniably true, that millions -no billions- of people worldwide continue to smoke although the precautions of health damage is crystally clear shown on each packet’s cover. Unfortunately, most smokers are completely aware of the hazardous effects smoking bring to their health yet it is considered a ‘mission impossible’ to quit this shameful habit. The answer lies in one word- addiction!

It is well know that the mortality rate is skyrocketing every year as a result of larger number of people smoking. One of the most prominent reasons why this is considered a major threat is because the GDP of our country is more likely to decline. In detail, when a person inhales the toxic fumes of a cigarette, fatal substances like nicotine and tar can lead to high blood pressure and lung cancer, respectively. Consequently, physical, mental and behavioral health will be aberrated , unlike a normal person. Sadly, employees and workers will not be as productive as they were.

Moreover, these health problems indeed require medical treatments for cure which is in most situations very expensive in extreme cases. This amount of money would have been used in better investments such as clothing and sheltering the poor individuals. Also, smokers have a higher chance to face death as the cardiovascular diseases caused by smoking in the number one death contributor in our country. Not only will this negatively affect a family by facing depression issues, but it will also cause valuable souls with talents needed by society to be lost.

All in all, I believe that the government should lend a helping hand and aid our nation to quit smoking by putting a “no smoking” sign in all the indoor regions aw well as the places which are mostly crowded with people. I have an unwavering faith that on the long run when hazards of smoking begin to arise in a body, smokers will realize how much damage they did to their selves which will make them raise awareness to their children and grandchildren when growing up to never start smokin

IELTS Speaking Sample Answer # Effects Of Smoking

Smoking is one of the most addictive habits that has ruined so many of the people. It causes diseases that harm people giving them life taking diseases. No matter, how many advertisements have been done, bringing out awareness among people about the ill-effects of smoking, people tend to smoke for several reasons. Let us today, have a look at some of the questions related to smoking.

Does smoking make you look cool? Why or why not?

In my opinion, smoking has nothing to do with making anyone look cool . However, with so many stars smoking, it has come into the minds of people, that smoking is cool. But, I believe that a person’s personality is about what is within and not what is outside. Smoking is a habit and for that note, a bad one.

How many friends do you have who smoke? Do you smoke?

Most of my friends smoke, especially the boy friends that I have. Some of them smoke a lot, however, others tend to do it occasionally. No, I prefer not smoking.

Should people be allowed to smoke in public? If so, where?

I think yes, people should be allowed to smoke in public but only in the smoking zones. Allowing to smoke anywhere they wish, is harmful for others who don’t smoke.

Is raising the price on cigarettes a good way to get people to quit?

I believe, increasing the price might lower down the rate of people smoking on one hand, but then can also cause other issues as well. Like, people can go out and become bankrupt or cause crimes just to smoke. However, if some one is not very addictive they might quit. On the larger note, I believe that to make people quit smoking there should be more awareness.

What do you think about electric cigarettes?

I think they can be the first step towards quitting cigarettes. Also, since they are less harmful than nicotine cigarettes, I think it can be used as an alternative to nicotine cigarettes.

What are the ill effects of smoking?

Smoking is injurious to health of not only the person who does smoking but also to others. It has been termed as the one habit that tends to cause the highest rate of cancer and heart attacks among people. Not only that, smoking also causes respiratory problems in people, often reducing their life span. Adding more, smoking can even reduce the memory strength of an individual.

Are there any benefits of smoking?

When we are looking for short term benefits, I think there surely are. It reduces anxiety and tends to improve the concentration level of an individual. However, no matter how many short term benefits smoking may provide, for a longer run, its ill effects by pass the benefits.

Should smoking cigarettes be illegal?

I think no. Smoking is injurious to health but then every individual has their own choices to make. If someone prefers smoking, or finds joy in it, or may be is able to relax after a long day, there is nothing wrong. Also, I think smoking is always better than suicide. There are so many people who give up on their life and dreams because of some stupid reasons, which I believe is much more dangerous than going for an addictive thing like smoking.

How popular is smoking in your country?

Smoking has become one of the most popular activities in our country. Some of the people tend to start smoking following their favorite stars or idols, while others begin because of peer pressure. Even more with the hectic life style that we are living in, smoking has become an alternative to fight the stress. There have even been children who started smoking just to bring an impression on other people. However, with the government trying, there have even been cases where people have left smoking.

Should smoking be banned in movies? Why or why not?

I think definitely yes. Cinema influences people like nothing else and when people tend to see their favorite stars they are more likely to imitate them, especially teenagers. With movies, I believe things that we want our society to be should be expressed more.

How to Quit Smoking?

There are many ways through which one can quit smoking. The first one is preparing for the day when you will quit. It is not easy to quit a habit abruptly, so set a date to give yourself time to prepare mentally.

Further, you can also use NRTs for your nicotine dependence. They can reduce your craving and withdrawal symptoms. NRTs like skin patches, chewing gums, lozenges, nasal spray and inhalers can help greatly.

Moreover, you can also consider non-nicotine medications. They require a prescription so it is essential to talk to your doctor to get access to it. Most importantly, seek behavioural support. To tackle your dependence on nicotine, it is essential to get counselling services, self-materials or more to get through this phase.

One can also try alternative therapies if they want to try them. There is no harm in trying as long as you are determined to quit smoking. For instance, filters, smoking deterrents, e-cigarettes, acupuncture, cold laser therapy, yoga and more can work for some people.

Always remember that you cannot quit smoking instantly as it will be bad for you as well. Try cutting down on it and then slowly and steadily give it up altogether.
