Ways of using waste products:

Creativity can give exceptional dimension to people and their living always. When we apply our creativity skill in making decorative products from waste materials like tyres, plastic bottles, newspapers, packaging cartons, wheels, iron rods, drums etc. we can make beautiful items definitely. Recycling and reusing materials is a conventional method to protect our environment which we will apply to decorate our surroundings too. We just need to put some creative ideas to make different decorative items from waste products. We may use bright colours, glue, colourful ribbons, dimensional cutting, unique designs etc. in making all those decorative items. At first, we need to make some definite plans about which specific products we can make from waste products. Then we need to create some significant designs and buy the needed products. After that we have to make recycled products and select the locations where we can replace them. The same thing is applicable in making home decorative items as well. If we make prior plan of preparing some decorative items for making our comfort homes vibrant and pleasant then we can keep the waste products in home. By this, waste products will be released in short amount from home and we will be free from unnecessary garbage cleaning and pollution.

Essay on Kabaddi

The craze for kabaddi rocketed up in the last few years everywhere as the Pro Kabaddi League started and people got teams of their state. The game of Kabaddi involves two teams who defend themselves from a raider from the opposite team. The game has now risen to international recognition. Here are some sample essays on kabaddi.

Essay on Kabaddi

100 Words Essay on Kabaddi

Kabaddi is a game of two different teams, each team containing seven players. One player is known as a"raiderтАЭ, and raids into other teams' half courts and tries to touch as many players as they can while continuously chanting "kabaddiтАЭ in a single breath.

Kabaddi is one of the most famous sports in the Indian subcontinent and other neighbouring countries with different regional names. Kabaddi has two different variations, namely тАЬstandard styleтАЭ and тАЬcircle styleтАЭ.

Kabaddi is the national sport of Bangladesh. It is the state game of different states in India like Haryana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Bihar, Kerala, Maharashtra, and Odisha. It is a highly regarded game in Nepal, taught and played in primary schools. It is also the countryтАЩs national sport.

200 Words Essay on Kabaddi

Kabaddi is a contact team sport. There are two teams of seven players each, who defend their courts from an offending player, trying to touch as many of the defending players as possible in a single breath. The raider team gets a point for every player their player touches from the opposite team and thereby eliminates them from the game. The defending team gets a point for the successful capture of a raider. Players are taken back into the game for each point scored by the team. This cycle of defending and raiding continues till there's no one left in a team.

Different Names Of Kabaddi | Kabaddi has different names in various regions. It is known as тАЬhu-tu-tuтАЭ in the western region, тАЬhu-do-doтАЭ in the eastern region, and тАЬchadakuduтАЭ in the southern region of the Indian subcontinent. It is known as тАЬha-du-duтАЭ in Bangladesh and тАЬkapardiтАЭ in Nepal.

Styles Of Kabaddi | Kabaddi has two different styles of playing depending on the shape of the ground. "Circle StyleтАЭ, also known as "Punjabi KabaddiтАЭ is a traditional form of Kabaddi played on a circle-shaped ground, and is most famous in rural areas of Punjab, that is, where it originated from. тАЬStandard StyleтАЭ is played in a rectangular-shaped court, and is widely played including that in various national and international competitions, such as the Asian games.

500 Words Essay on Kabaddi

The origin of Kabaddi goes back to ancient India. It is mentioned in the Sangam literature that Sadugudu (older name for Kabaddi) was practised for ages and was used as a warm-up sport before playing Jallikattu. Another form of this sport originated in Tamil Nadu 4,000 years ago.

Kabaddi was famous among the Yadava people. An Abhang by Tukaram states that Lord Krishna used to play Kabaddi in his childhood.

Kabaddi As A Competitive Sport | India first popularised Kabaddi as a competitive sport, with the first competitions organised in the late 1920s. The All India Kabaddi Federation was formed in 1950. Kabaddi was played as a demonstration sport during the first Asian games in 1951 in Delhi, and made a part of Asian games in 1990.

Rules of Kabaddi

There are different variations of Kabaddi but the basic rules of scoring a point, number of players, and declaring someone out are mostly the same. Let's take a look at the basic rules of Kabaddi.

Each team consists of 12 players from which only 7 players will be on the court at a time and others will be substitutes.

Matches are categorised according to the age and weight of players because of the physical nature of this contact sport.

Each game is played in two halves of 20 minutes with a 5-minute break at halftime.

A raider gets a point for every player of the other team he touches in a single breath. The defending team gets a point for the successful capture of a raider.

Players that are declared тАШoutтАЩ while raiding or defending can be taken in with each point scored.

Each team takes turns raiding and defending. The courts are switched after the halftime break.

The game in the same manner continues till the time up. The team that scores the maximum points is declared winner.

Coming of The Pro Kabaddi League

In a country dominated by cricket, the beginning of the Pro-Kabaddi League in 2014 glamorised the sport of Kabaddi in India, and it became the second mostтАУwatched sport event after the Indian Premier League. It helped many players from rural India to show their talent at the game at the national and international levels. Kabaddi getting recognised at a bigger level has fetched livelihood and a means of sustenance for many of those skilled at the game.

When I was in school, we used to play Kabaddi just as a pastime and because our seniors usually kept the cricket bat and ball with themselves. Unlike for other sports like cricket, football, and basketball, there weren't many competitions organised for Kabaddi despite there being some talented players around. However, with the beginning of the Pro-Kabaddi League, things have changed. My peers from school who have been good at Kabaddi right from school days are now playing in various tournaments organised by universities and state federations.

Good performance in Kabaddi is even fetching scholarships to these students. Now, I am in college in the capital of my state, and the players who played kabaddi with me in school are playing in various tournaments held by universities and state federations. Some players are even getting scholarships based on the amazing skills that they achieved playing kabaddi during school just to pass time.

essay on kabaad se jugaad

Adterra

Kabaad se Jugaad is a popular phrase in India that literally means "making something out of nothing". It implies the process of creative and innovative problem solving using limited resources. In other words, it is about finding workarounds for challenges with minimal resources. The term has become popularized by the Indian diaspora around the world, who use it to refer to any type of clever solution or hack to make something happen.

Kabaad se Jugaad is a key component in India's entrepreneurial culture, particularly in rural areas where resource availability may be scarce; entrepreneurs often have to be very creative with limited resources and knowledge base. This mindset encourages Indians to find solutions for everyday problems by being resourceful and innovative тАУ from substituting ingredients when cooking food, repairing broken items with limited parts or recycling materials into new products. This can-do attitude has enabled Indians to create viable businesses out of small investments and limited resources - inspiring others around the world!

In today's world, Kabaad se Jugaad can also be applied on an organizational level at companies and governments alike. When working on projects which require investment but can't get funding due to budget constraints or other reasons тАУ companies turn towards inventive ways to solve their problems such as crowd-funding campaigns, utilizing volunteers or outsourcing services on contract basis etc. Governments also increasingly rely on Kabaad se Jugaad as they look for cost-effective solutions while delivering public services such as healthcare, education etc..

Ultimately Kabaada Se Jugaada represents a philosophy that encourages us all not just in times of crisis but also when it comes time for improvement - that we should always think outside the box when looking for solutions and never give up despite what obstacles may lie ahead!

Kabaad se Jugaad initiative is an example of how to beautify public places at low cost: PM Modi in 'Mann Ki Baat'

New Delhi [India], September 25 (ANI): In the 93rd episode of his Mann Ki Baat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday praised the Uttar Pradesh government’s campaign titled ‘Kabaad se Jugaad’ which has the objective of beautifying public places in an environment-friendly way.

PM Modi termed Yogi Adityanath’s government’s initiative was an example of protection of the environment and beautification of the city.

“The campaign is also an example of how to beautify public places at a low cost. I appreciate all the people involved in this campaign from the core of my heart,” the PM said during his address.

“Realising the vision of the State Government to beautify the cities, the Meerut Municipal Corporation worked to beautify the city through waste material and disposable items. Since the formation of the Yogi government, there has been a significant improvement in the power supply in Meerut. The Municipal Corporation also resorted to artificial lights to beautify the district,” the PM added.

The Prime Minister further said, “The Municipal Corporation launched a campaign to illuminate Meerut and named it ‘Kabaad Se Jugaad’. The Municipal Commissioner Amit Pal Sharma informed that the campaign is an example of how public places can be beautified at a low cost. The city is being decorated using waste and discarded items such as iron scrap, plastic waste, old tires and drums.”

“Arrangements were made at the circuit house intersection with artificial light trees, barricading from waste wheels of hand carts, mini wheel parks, display walls from old JCB tires, and stool tables for sitting in the parks, among others. Using items at a lower cost, the city was decorated in a beautiful, unique way, presenting a ‘model’ before others,” the PM said further.

Earlier during the episode, PM Modi announced that based on the recommendation of the task force set up to observe cheetahs in Madhya Pradesh’s Kuno National Park, it will be decided when people will be able to see the animals.

“Friends, a task force has been formed. This task force will monitor the cheetahs and see how much they have been able to adapt to the environment here. On this basis, a decision will be taken after a few months and then you will be able to see the cheetahs,” said PM Modi in the 93rd episode of his monthly radio broadcast ‘Mann Ki Baat’.

PM Modi also said that climate change is a major threat to marine ecosystems and that the litter on beaches is disturbing.

“It becomes our responsibility to make serious and continuous efforts to tackle these challenges,” he said.

During the address of the 93rd episode of Mann ki Baat, the PM also announced that Chandigarh airport will now be named after Shaheed Bhagat Singh as a tribute to the great freedom fighter.

“As a tribute to the great freedom fighter, it has been decided that the Chandigarh airport will now be named after Shaheed Bhagat Singh,” said Modi in the 93rd episode of his monthly Mann ki Baat address.

The Prime Minister wished all the sportspersons participating in the 36th edition of the National Games starting on Thursday in Gujarat, ahead of the inauguration on September 29.

“Friends, that’s all the time in ‘Mann Ki Baat’, but before I leave, I want to tell you about the National Games as well. National Games are being organized in Gujarat from the 29th of September,” said Prime Minister Modi while addressing the 93rd edition of ‘Mann Ki Baat’.

The PM also talked about the Divyangs and said, “India is winning laurels in para-sports. We have all been witness to this in many tournaments. There are many institutes that are working on helping Divangs increase their fitness levels & participate in sports. Today there are many people who are engaged in promoting the fitness culture among the specially abled at the grassroots level. This imparts a lot of strength to the self-confidence of the specially-abled.”

In the broadcast, PM Modi paid tributes to BJP ideologue Deen Dayal Upadhyaya, saying he was a profound thinker and a great son of the country. (ANI)

Indian Achievers Story

Kabaad Se Jugaad : Bhopali Heart

Kabaad Se Jugaad : Bhopali Heart.

“In 2016-17 Bhopal stood second in the Swachh Survekshan in India. Just after this, we thought letтАЩs make Bhopal the cleanest city of India,” said Robin Jagtap RED FM Programming Head .

Following are some highlights from his conversation with us.

Bhopal aims to be the first in Swachh Survekshan 2018 and beautify the city using Scrap Items (Known as Kabaad ). Back to the story, Robin begins telling us “In our meeting with the then Commissioner Nagar Nigam Priyanka Das Ma’am, she told us that we need to do something to uplift Bhopal in the next Swachh Survekshan, from there the concept of  рдХрдмрд╛рдбрд╝ рд╕реЗ рдЬреБрдЧрд╛рдбрд╝ (Kabaad Se Jugaad meaning Best Out of Waste) came into our mind. So that we could show people that something good can come out of the waste materials if acted smartly and innovatively.

Seeding the idea

тАЬInnovation distinguishes between a leader and a follower.тАЭ Steve Jobs

Irrigating the idea

We at RED FM always believe in thinking out of the box, and thus we thought of using the best out of the waste. In this way, pollution can be controlled and weтАЩll hit two targets in a single throw.

Not only us but the people from all over the world using scrap items to make something best out of it. So why can’t we do the same? We don’t think we did a great work but yes taking initiatives like this will certainly aware people about things we can do out of the waste too. So other people can also start taking initiatives like this.

тАЬFor good ideas and true innovation, you need human interaction, conflict, argument and debate.тАЭ тАУ Margaret Heffernan

We all know plastic is not degradable and is a big challenge for us. But very few know that plastic can be recycled in many ways. Even houses and roads can be made out of the waste plastic.

To my surprise, we got unlimited support from the government. Nagar Nigam Bhopal also gave us full support in this campaign. We just took the initiative but the real work is done by the Bhopalis. They contributed in every possible way. Results speak about the success of this campaign, Bhopal transformed into such a beautiful city, you would see we are using innovative ways to beautify it.”

This is all Robin had to say, but what the city has to offer is much more than this. Bhopal is known as The City of Lakes and does offer scenic beauty at several places. The calmness and peace of this city give soothing and relaxing pace to people. If Soorma Bhopali is the only thing you know about Bhopal, you must pay a visit!

New Delhi: In the 93rd episode of his Mann Ki Baat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday praised the Uttar Pradesh government’s campaign titled ‘Kabaad se Jugaad’ which has the objective of beautifying public places in an environment-friendly way.

Essay on Kabaddi

One of the oldest and popular games in India is Kabaddi. From Tamil Nadu to international land, Kabaddi has traveled far and long. In this Kabaddi essay,  more about the background, history, and importance of Kabaddi will be discussed. After a significant journey, Kabaddi has made it to the foreign land and is considered as one of the most thrilling games of India that require lots of energy besides strategy. LetтАЩs have a look at everything you need to know about Kabaddi.

Sports have a big role to play in the development of the students as physical exercise is equally important in the mental growth of an individual. Therefore, Vedantu provides the students with an entire guide on the sport of Kabaddi that will not only teach them its importance but also its rules, history, and much more. This will help the students to cover all the important aspects of the game in one go while also improving their essay writing skills and general knowledge.

History of Kabaddi

Over 4000 years ago, Kabaddi emerged in the southern part of India in Tamil Nadu. It is believed that the game emerged in the Vedic period. It was a game that was played by people to showcase their strength. There have been several essays on Kabaddi stating how thrilling, magical and fascinating the game is. Several documents state that the game was even played by Gautama Buddha for recreational purposes. In 1938, it was included in the Indian Olympic Games and later in 1950 All India Kabaddi Federation was formed. In 1990, it became a part of the Beijing Asian Games and popularized the game as a competitive sport.

A Short Note on Kabaddi- The Sport

While writing a  Kabaddi essay in English, we must make use of resources to gather relevant information about the sport. Kabaddi is a team sport that requires seven players in two teams. The aim of the sport is for a single player on offense to run into the opposing teamтАЩs court up to an extent and then tag out as many defenders of the opponent team as possible and return to the respective court anyhow without getting touched. To play this game it is essential to have a wide field of 10-13 meters long. It is played for approximately 20 minutes. Like any other game, the toss-winning team plays first in Kabaddi. The points are given based on the tagged players and also on stopping the raider. It seems like there is nothing more thrilling and exciting than watching a game of Kabaddi. The players, it is to be noted, are selected based on body weight and age.

An Essay on My Favorite Game Kabaddi

In this section of the short note on Kabaddi, a few names of top tournaments and leagues will be mentioned. Pro Kabaddi League, National Kabaddi Championships, Federation Cup, etc are a few of such tournaments that are worth mentioning in the Kabaddi paragraph in English. The Pro Kabaddi League was launched in 2014 only while the National Kabaddi Championship is the oldest tournament of Kabaddi in India.

Method of Playing- A Note on Kabaddi

In this part of the essay on Kabaddi, how to play Kabaddi is mainly focussed upon. When this game starts, one of the teamтАЩs players chants the word тАЬKabaddiтАЭ and tags the player from the opponent team and returns to his court. If the players from the opponent team stop the player in their court, then the player who tried to tag automatically gets disqualified. This might sound simple but it's pretty difficult and requires a lot of energy to play. A similar exhibition of energy and competition is seen in the Kabaddi World Cup which must be mentioned in any 10 lines about Kabaddi or 5 lines on Kabaddi. Kabaddi information in an English essay would include the fact that to date India is the most successful team in this competition.

As this essay about Kabaddi comes to an end, it is worth mentioning that there are a number of films that depict the importance of this sport and have showcased it as an integral part of Indian culture.

Jugaad: a study in indian ingenuity and improvisation.

Estimated reading time: 7 minutes

Jugaad is a concept that taps into current trends around crafting and thrifting in everyday life. But as the Indian economy grows with an emphasis on innovation, there has been a resurgence of interest in the idea of jugaad. Rina Arya (University of Huddersfield) argues why a broader view of the concept can help illuminate its renewed interest.

тАШ Jugaad тАЩ , a colloquial Hindi word, which approximately translates as тАШquick fixтАЩ, тАШworkaroundтАЩ or тАШhackтАЩ, expresses a quintessentially Indian concept, used ubiquitously throughout mainly Northern India. In essence, Jugaad describes a mentality or approach that seeks solutions in adversity, describing how the world is negotiated by improvisation and ingenuity. The word refers to the practice of bending rules and thinking laterally to making something work.

It is a necessity for many Indians at the Bottom of the Pyramid to use a term from economics, for whom access to resources is problematic, and whose socio-economic status makes opportunities for social progression more difficult. For wealthier socio-economic groups, jugaad is employed to reduce expense and economise labour costs (Rai, 2019). But arguably scarcity continues to be prevalent across India and for that reason underpins the approach to jugaad.

The notion of jugaad recently resurfaced in the academy in the context of management studies as a result of the impact of the study Jugaad Innovation: A Frugal and Flexible Approach to Innovation for the 21 st Century (2012) by Radjou et.al, where it was explored as an indispensable part of a toolkit in Indian innovation. Outside of its role in the Indian economy, very little has been written about the cultural resonance of┬а jugaad . So why has this word regained significance in Indian innovation, and whatтАЩs its application in everyday India?

Perhaps the best way of understanding the ethos of jugaad is by example and approach. In each case the motivation is always functional and often involves the deployment of objects that have been adapted to fulfil a different function to what they were originally intended, all with the aim of fixing something that was broken or to improve efficiency. Television screens suspended from the ceiling by cables propped up by plastic chairs, saucepans propped up by bottles with lighted candles underneath, handlebars on the back of a cycle being used to carry goods or passengers, the punctured plastic bottle which is used as a shower hose, tiffin boxes tied to a cycle are all typical examples found in households or on the streets. Many instances of jugaad are seen in transport, where a vehicle is reinforced through the addition of cannibalised parts тАУ frames, engines or pumps. Jugaad is seen too in the social realm of everyday activity in interactions that people have with one another, especially with regard to communication with the intent to negotiate, bargain or persuade during sale transactions with the view to saving money. A simple but effective example cited in the literature is the social function of the missed call on a mobile phone as an implicit form of communication.

The solution arrived at in each of these cases is not durable but will have to do for now. It is regarded in its efficiency at that moment тАУ ready-to-hand without concern for future proofing. In their urgency and chalta hai (anything goes) attitude, many examples of jugaad lie outside of the formal economy and on the тАШmarginsтАЩ of society. This is commonly seen in the way in which unregistered тАШ jugaadтАЩ vehicles and are typically without tax insurance. At the more extreme of the spectrum are more overt examples of illegality, such as where intrepid outlaws steal electricity for their villages, out of necessity because they canтАЩt afford it or just because they can get away with it. Whatever might be the motivation, they are putting themselves in potentially fatal situations.

Recent studies in management culture, such as that expounded in Jugaad Innovation , deployed jugaad in examples that take us away from this quick-fix response and that require higher-order thinking and a more permanent solution that can be accused of distorting its focus on the here-and-now essence. The Mitticool clay refrigerator, invented in 2009, and Tata MotorтАЩs Nano car, invented in 2008, fit this description. Both inventions attempted to tackle very real problems faced by IndiaтАЩs population. The refrigerator sought to address the problem of food preservation for rural Indians who do not have access to electricity. Its inventor, Mansukhbhai Prajapati, was motivated by social need. TataтАЩs ingenious plan (which failed) served to accommodate families in more compact and affordable vehicles, thereby lessening the problem of families travelling in cramped conditions on unsafe and unlicensed makeshift transport. The extent of protracted problem-solving, availability of resources and durability of these examples problematise their conceptualisation as examples of jugaad , even though they strive for core features integral to jugaad , namely frugality and inclusivity. In this similarity yet difference they open up the very important issue of the boundaries of the concept.

Recent interest in jugaad in management culture open up the question of the validity of jugaad when thinking about innovation. There are different aspects to the problem. If we take the etymology literally, and stick to its roots as a particular type of makeshift ingenuity, then anything that involves greater ideation, resource management or complexity falls outside of this definition. But if we take a broader view that incorporates jugaad as a sensibility that is used in innovation then its remit becomes wider. A syncretic perspective accommodates its contradictory aspects. It is at once a strategy for survival for some whilst also being methods or shortcuts for facilitating convenience. It is invites different attitudes тАУ humour, ridicule, incredulity тАУ as evidenced in the multitude of comic visuals (images and videos) circulated on YouTube and social media channels. In contrast to these perceptions, as evidenced in the championing of Indian innovation, it has also become a source of national pride, even though the two might seem to be antithetical. But it has a more serious side. By its place in the margins of the official economy it speaks of the hardship of rural Indians who practice it out of necessity, often endangering themselves and others in the process. Far from being humorous, this conveys the sheer disparity of socio-economic relations in India which make stark the different realities that groups face.

The contrast of perspective, the whole arena of difference that discussion of this compact and complex concept invites necessitates further research, which has all but been outlined here. Jugaad is a concept that taps into current trends around crafting, thrifting. And the growth of the Indian economy, with its emphasis on innovation, and in a high-risk society, summons the need for a resurgence of interest in jugaad .
