The transportation professionals integrated the concept Green in various dimensions of transportation, such as, green vehicle, green highway. The current study has established a new dimension to green transportation, which is called Green Driver as whom substantially contributes to less emission and fuel consumption, and higher-safety. The research established the driver's Green Adaptive Travel Behaviors (GATB), in particular, that is referred to voluntary personal and lifestyle behaviors on less energy consumption and emission. The methodology was designed into two phases. Phase one was to investigate driver's GATBs through systematic literature review process and content analysis method. The second phase was to verify greenery value impact (GVI) of the finalized list of drivers' GATBs through an expert input study and Grounded Group Decision Making (GGDM) method. Total twenty six (26) GATB factors have been determined. Amongst, the factor 'F27-Dangerous overtaking' has received the highest value (97%) followed with 'F3-Slow once realizing bike lanes for cyclist crossing' (91%). In contrast, 'F4-Realize visual Obstacles to manage the speed' and 'F21-Brake with smooth deceleration' has received the lowest value (77%) among other factors. Two of the initial factors;'F5-Use traffic calming devices' (55%), and 'F24-Change highest possible gear' (69%) could not reach the 70% saturation; hence, they have been dropped from the list of GATB factors. Indeed, the GATB efforts are not limited to technology and practice; but also can include education and enforcement to driving regulations in order to interconnect driver, technology, environment, and vehicle. The research concluded with an innovative technique used as the decision support tool to evaluate the greenery grade of any individual driver on committing to less emission, less fuel consumption, and higher safety in traveling. As future study, the Green driver behaviour index assessment model will be developed based on this study outputs.

The Malaysia Higher Education sector has experienced major growth in the 60 years since its independence. In order for Malaysia to keep up with the increasingly challenging and competitive global economy, higher education must be sustainably transformed. One of the key shifts highlighted in the Malaysia Higher Education Blueprint 2015-2025 is through empowering Technology, Vocational, Education and Training (TVET) programmes. Although the graduates from the Malaysian Technical University Network (MTUN) have shown significant achievements through the Graduate Employability rates, there are some pressing issues that still need to be addressed. The industry practitioners have raised concerns about graduates that does not meet employers’ expectations and is not well-prepared to enter the workforce. As part of the initiative to address the gap above, the Engineering Technology Infrastructure Program (ETIM) at Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) has taken the effort to appoint the industry practitioners as its Undergraduate Final Year Project (FYP) co-supervisors. These industry co-supervisors plays an important role since the beginning of the course by providing real-life industry problems for the students to propose solutions. This method have seen tremendous improvement towards students’ soft skills such as problem-solving and decision-making. This helps the graduates to better prepare themselves upon entering the workforce and simultaneously fulfilling the industry needs in being exposed to real-life industry problems. The industry and academia should continuously work together to ensure that the courses and curriculum are current and in accordance to the requirements posed by the industry.

In recent years, weather extremes are occurring frequently and with higher intensities in Malaysia. Since early 1990s, the Malaysian government has put in place the policy, infrastructure and operational mechanisms operating at the national, state and district levels to ensure participation and involvement of various government agencies and the non-government sector in addressing management of disaster. However, there are still no specific legislations in Malaysia governing the disaster management of human corpse. In any mass disaster, it is undeniable and inevitable that a massive number of fatalities will occur, which will then in turn lead to the rise of further chain of events ranging from the recovery of the deceased, their transportation, storage, identification and, finally disposal. This paper looks at the need of specific legislation to govern the management of human corpse after disaster. The existing legislation related to the management of human corpse will be discussed with the main focus being on the opinions of respondents (the legal practitioners) as to whether there is a need to propose a new legislation namely the Malaysian Disaster Management of Human Corpse Act.

The world needs to reduce its dependency on fossil fuel (non-renewable energy) as it is fast depleting and due to the harmful impact to the environment – most notably ‘Climate Change’. Therefore, Green Technology now becomes an even greater significance. We expect that academic scientists, leading engineers, industry researchers and scholar students would exchange and share their experiences and discuss research results on how we can survive and sustain in the future with green technology. The issues are not only about developing technologies, but also how to manage them properly in order to gain maximum benefit for the societies. This volume contains papers accepted to The 3rd International Conference on Technology and Operations Management (ICTOM 2012) which themed Sustaining Competitiveness through Green Technology Management. The conference was held in East Hall – ITB and SBM-ITB (School of Business and Management – ITB) on July 4-6, 2012. Nowadays, the entire world is experiencing very complex and chaotic economic situations. Despite the global economic slowdown, it is very encouraging for us to receive over than one hundred submissions from various countries, and accept less than three-fourth submitted papers written by one hundred forty-eight authors for oral presentation to share their knowledges. We are also very grateful for the acceptance of keynote speakerships by well-known senior researchers and international as well as regional practicioners in Technology and Operations Management discipline specifically in Green Technology Management area. ICTOM 2012 was organized by SBM-ITB, especially Operations and Performance Management (OPM) Interest Group. This conference shows our third collaboration with the esteemed College of Business – Universiti Utara Malaysia. We have been successfully organized the previous conferences at West Hall ITB in 2006 and at Langkawi, Malaysia in 2010. We hope that this 3rd scientific meeting forum could contribute to introduce and promote Technology and Operations Management especially in Indonesia, to open the way for possible collaboration between local and international academicians and practitioners to promote ITB, in particular SBM-ITB, as a world class university and as the leading higher institution in the field of technology and operations management. On this occasion, we would like to say a big thank you to everyone who has helped in organizing this international conference and the preparation of proceedings. We also apologize for any shortcomings, both in the organizing of the conference and in the preparation of conference proceedings. We look forward for your continuing supports and active participations in the next International Conference on Technology and Operations Management.

A group of men, mostly in jeans and sweatshirts, hug each other in a circle in the middle of a wooded area.

Where Can Men Go to Become Better Men?

After a weekend camping in the woods, a small group of guys — many of them former prisoners — hoped to leave healed.

Over the course of a few days, a dozen men bared their souls. Credit...

On a cloudy afternoon in May, a dozen strangers descended a tree-lined hill in the Catskills, one by one. They were nervous. They had just relinquished their phones, and the only sound they could hear was the distant beat of a drum.

Listen to this article with reporter commentary

They had little in common, at least on the surface. Among them was a wealth manager from Connecticut, a teenager from the Bronx trying to stay out of a gang, a painter from brownstone Brooklyn, a Haitian immigrant living in Queens and a community worker from St. Louis. They were Black, white and Asian, gay, bisexual and straight, middle-aged and young. Some had served time, while others had hardly ever gotten so much as a traffic ticket.

They had only a dim sense of what awaited them: three days of camping and talking about their lives. But they hoped that somehow they would emerge better, more fulfilled men.

At the bottom of the hill, they entered a huge frame tent, bare except for carpets, chairs and space heaters. A circle of about 25 more men, all of whom had already been through the same process, or a very similar one, welcomed them.

For the next several hours, each person in the circle explained why he had come. Some spoke of bad or absent fathers. Others opened up about molestation, divorce, estrangement from their children, professional disgrace, the cruelties of incarceration.

THE HISTORY OF THE COMPANY CREATION

1993 how the construction company remstroy was created   the year 1993 was a period when a lot of construction companies, which had been working successfully during the soviet times and had rich staff capacity, were forced to cease their activity for various reasons. a lot of capable specialists either had to look for another job or change their field. but there were also those who were willing to realise their potential in the field of construction in accordance with the received degree and the experience they had accumulated. thus, in 1993 in elektrostal (moscow oblast) a group of specialists and people sharing each other’s ideas, who had enormous educational background and the highest degree in architecture, organized and registered ooo firm erg which began its rapid development and successful work, offering its service both on the construction market and other areas. 2000 industrial construction is the main area   seven years of successful work have shown that combining different types of activities in the same company is not always convenient. and in the year 2000 the founders of ooo firm erg decided to create and register a monoprofile construction company ooo remstroy construction company. industrial construction was chosen as the priority area. it was in this area that the directors of ooo sk remstroy began their working life and grew as specialists. in order to achieve the set goal, they selected a mobile team of professionals in the field of industrial construction, which allows us to cope with the tasks assigned to ooo sk remstroy throughout russia and the near abroad. 2010 manufacturing of metal structures   we possess modern equipment that allows us to carry out the entire cycle of works on the manufacture of metal structures of any complexity without assistance. designing – production – installation of metal structures. a staff of professionals and well-coordinated interaction of the departments let us carry out the work as soon as possible and in accordance with all customer’s requirements.” extract from the list of members of self-regulatory organizations, construction.

Geographic coordinates of Elektrostal, Moscow Oblast, Russia

Coordinates of elektrostal in decimal degrees, coordinates of elektrostal in degrees and decimal minutes, utm coordinates of elektrostal, geographic coordinate systems.

WGS 84 coordinate reference system is the latest revision of the World Geodetic System, which is used in mapping and navigation, including GPS satellite navigation system (the Global Positioning System).

Geographic coordinates (latitude and longitude) define a position on the Earth’s surface. Coordinates are angular units. The canonical form of latitude and longitude representation uses degrees (°), minutes (′), and seconds (″). GPS systems widely use coordinates in degrees and decimal minutes, or in decimal degrees.

Latitude varies from −90° to 90°. The latitude of the Equator is 0°; the latitude of the South Pole is −90°; the latitude of the North Pole is 90°. Positive latitude values correspond to the geographic locations north of the Equator (abbrev. N). Negative latitude values correspond to the geographic locations south of the Equator (abbrev. S).

Longitude is counted from the prime meridian ( IERS Reference Meridian for WGS 84) and varies from −180° to 180°. Positive longitude values correspond to the geographic locations east of the prime meridian (abbrev. E). Negative longitude values correspond to the geographic locations west of the prime meridian (abbrev. W).

UTM or Universal Transverse Mercator coordinate system divides the Earth’s surface into 60 longitudinal zones. The coordinates of a location within each zone are defined as a planar coordinate pair related to the intersection of the equator and the zone’s central meridian, and measured in meters.

Elevation above sea level is a measure of a geographic location’s height. We are using the global digital elevation model GTOPO30 .
