Read Family Picnic Essay on Vedantu

A picnic is a kind of excursion that is arranged with friends and families in the scenic outdoors. Everyone gets together in a place, ideally a park or resort with a lot of open space, and cook meals and eat lunch together, play games, and spend a whole day making merry and memories. In tropical countries like India, families generally plan exciting picnics during winter holidays because, during that time, the weather remains largely pleasant. These picnics though apparently mere get-togethers have immense significance in our life. They allow us to take a break from our busy routine and spend time with our family which is very important for our mental and emotional well-being. In this essay, I shall talk about a family picnic that was probably one of the best days of my life.

Picnic Day With My Family

Last spring our whole family decided to go to a nearby park for a fun outing and a picnic at the same time. The day before the picnic we could no longer hold our excitement. We spent the entire day planning what we will do and what we will eat. Thinking about all the fun we were going to have made my heart flutter.

The next day after packing our things we left our home at 8 am. The picnic spot was about 2 hours away from our home. We had packed delicious food prepared by my mother. On our way to the picnic spot, we played “antakshari” in the car. I could not wait to reach the spot.

Fun At The Picnic Spot

Finally at 10.30 am we reached the picnic spot. It was a beautiful land on the banks of a river. There was a large area of a green field with a lot of bushes and trees scattered here and there. The river and sky met at the horizon. There was a continuous flow of cool breeze blowing from the river to the banks. It was a mesmerizing sight to behold.

Me and my siblings, we started playing games with the adults including my mother, father, uncle and aunt. We played gully cricket and hide and seek. Soon the adults became tired so me and my siblings, we started racing across the fields.

Finally, we were too tired to play anymore. This was the time for the most amazing part of the picnic, the food. We had brought tasty home-cooked meals from our homes. We unpacked our food and divided it among ourselves. After so many activities my hunger had increased. The food tasted tastier than usual, maybe it was because of the company of the whole family, or maybe it was because I was very hungry. After completing our lunch all of us went for a boat ride. It was my first time riding a boat. At first, I was scared but then slowly I overcame my fear and started enjoying the ride. Then around 5.00 pm, we left for home.

The memories I gathered at the family picnic are some moments I will cherish all through my life. The picnic not only provided a break from the everyday mundane life but also made me happy and allowed me to spend some quality time with my family. I hope we can plan more picnics in the future.

Children in the lower primary classes will be expected to write a short paragraph on a picnic for the essay section. An example of a short essay on picnics below could be used as a guide:

Our school organised a picnic for us on Children’s Day. We went to a water park that was full of rides and greenery. We travelled with our friends and teachers. On reaching the water park, we were served hot tomato soup as it was the winter season. We then changed into our swimming dresses to go on the rides. Our teachers joined us too. We spent our time on the rides until lunchtime. We were served hot pizzas, french fries, and juice for lunch. Before we left, we were given a small token from the resort, and we took a group photo together. The picnic was a lot of fun, and we enjoyed spending time with our friends and teachers.

Writing a family essay could be an easy task for kids. But an essay on a picnic with family could be a little difficult. The example below could be a start for writing an essay about a picnic with family:

My family decided to go on a picnic over the long weekend. The farmhouse near the city’s outskirts was chosen as the venue. My mother, father, sister, and I drove to the farmhouse early in the morning with my uncle, aunt and their son. We reached there at 10 in the morning. The farmhouse had a pool, garden and an entertainment room. We spent some time swimming in the pool and then played a few games of cricket in the garden. We then took a short break for some refreshments. We went back to playing football in the garden and played until lunch. For lunch, we ordered a meal from the restaurant next door. We enjoyed the delicious lunch and then went to the entertainment room to relax. We watched a movie and then went to the nearby café for snacks in the evening. After a cup of coffee, we took photos together as a family for memories. We then started back home and reached by evening. It was a memorable day for all of us.

Children in class 3 can articulate better and have more knowledge. However, an essay template could really help them. Below is a picnic essay for class 3 that could help them spark their creativity:

I once went on a picnic at a resort with my school. We took a bus to the resort and, on the way, sang songs along with the teachers. After we reached the resort, we played in the garden and spent time on the rides. We spent time on the rides until lunchtime, and then our teachers took us to the dining hall for lunch. The lunch was delicious, with large portions of dishes. After we finished our lunch, our teachers gathered us in the garden, and we played some games like hopscotch, egg and spoon race, and more. We enjoyed spending time with our friends and teachers until the evening when it was time to leave. We clicked a few group photos and took the bus back home. It was such a wonderful day spent with my friends.

Another picnic that I love is the one with my family. It was a long weekend, and since we did not want to go on a long holiday, we decided to take a day trip to the beach. My father, mother, brother, and I set off early to the beach as the weather was hot and sunny. My mother packed some snacks and drinks to eat on the way. My father decided to drive, and we listened to music as we travelled to the beach. When we reached the beach, we immediately headed to the water and spent time swimming! After a few hours, we tucked into the refreshments that my mother had packed. We then drove back home, and I thoroughly enjoyed my day with my family.

By writing on this topic, a child learns to articulate their thoughts about spending quality time with people. Writing on this topic can be developed by getting children to organise their thoughts.

Essay writing is a vital skill for children to learn right from the primary classes. Reading and writing will help children develop these skills. The above templates will help children know how to structure their essays on a topic like a picnic.

Short Essay on a Picnic with Family – Essay 1 (200 words)

Introduction

In order to escape from the hustle and bustle of the routine life, a retreat is a must. What can be more enjoyable than a picnic time with family with whom we do not get to spend enough time? A picnic not only freshens up the mind, but also helps us to explore new places and enjoy food with our family.

The Picnic – How It Was

We chose the community park of our locality that is situated right beside the limpid brook. The park had a children’s play area where the kids of our family played on slides, swings and other play equipments.

We carried our lunch to the park and decided to have it at the separate picnic area, which we had reserved for that day. After lunch, we sat near the brook, fed the ducks and squirrels and took a walk along the trail. The sunset seen above the brook during twilight was magical and we returned before it was dark.

It was a day well spent with all the members of the family and with this we had a great opportunity to breathe in the fresh air. Escaping the daily routine for a day and being in nature’s lap is definitely important in life.

Essay on a Picnic that I Enjoyed with my Family – Essay 2 (300 words)

In the strain of the work load and juggling between multiple chores, having a family picnic was like an alienated topic to me. All I wanted to have was a relaxing getaway with my family at some place off the beaten path where the city commotions will not be deafening and the air will be pure. Finding such a place was not much of a problem as living in countryside comes up with many pristine places which are yet to be explored.

The Long-Awaited Picnic

It was during the weekend of Christmas and we decided to utilize the vacation fully on the outskirts at a nature park. As most people generally gathered at the urban areas to take the full essence of Christmas, the nature park was less crowded and it gave us the opportunity to reserve a campsite to stay overnight and have picnic.

Surrounded by towering Pine grove, the picnic area was serene with only the chirping of the birds penetrating the silence. The murmuring cascade nearby added to the charm of the forest and we made sure to take a dip into the pool formed beneath the waterfall. The hike to the falls was easy for all the members of family and especially my little nephew was overwhelmed.

Appetite soon hit us after taking a refreshing swim and thanks to my mother, we filled our tummies with delicious sandwiches. Meanwhile my brother was busy barbecuing the chicken with his wife and with it, our lunch was sumptuous.

In the evening, we had bonfire at the picnic site and under the starlit sky, the picnic concluded as we entered our respective camps.

Far from the city crowd, a picnic with family was something all of us longed for to explore the other side of life. A small rustic campsite with grille and picnic facility made our time enjoyable and the added bonanza was the refreshing plunge into the pool.

Essay on Outing with My Family – Essay 3 (400 words)

While sunny days are the most convenient for outing, monsoon showers have their own charm and enjoying rain on a family outing has long been on my bucket-list. Being an avid hiker and photographer, the passion for exploring new places run through my genes, just as my father and mother. My sister who lives in another city had come to our place for her vacations and it was a perfect setup to plan an outing which would rejuvenate our mind and let us enjoy the magic of rains to the fullest.

Outing on the Blue Mountains

The Neelakurinji flower that blooms after a cycle of twelve years was the main attraction behind choosing the Blue Mountains or Western Ghats for the family outing. A long drive along the winding paths of Kodaikanal was a treat in itself and all the members of the family enjoyed watching the rain soaked tender green plantation along the road.

The carpet of the purple Neelakurinji along the hill slopes flashed in front of our eyes as we reached the picnic spot. After freshening up at the restroom of the picnic area, we set out to explore the forests passing through which we would reach the slopes of the Neelakurinji flower meadows. Rain had subdued by then and a magical mist emerged from the top of the mountains.

The soil was wet but there was no clogging of water, which made hiking through the grassland easy for us. The number of flowers gradually increased and finally we were standing in a purple flower laden meadow where soil could not be seen beneath.

We spent quality time taking pictures of this rare flower before hiking back to the picnic area. The caretaker of the picnic spot greeted us with fuming coffee sourced from the nearby coffee plantation along with crunchy vegetable chops. The lunch comprised of Fried Rice, Chilly Chicken and fried vegetables which is grown at the farm nearby.

We spent some more hours watching the rain in the mountains while having the fruit custard prepared by the caretaker’s wife. The couple also talked with us regarding his farms and the picnic spot which gets filled with tourists during public holidays. Biding adieu and promising to return someday, we were homebound.

A break from the monotony of life not only infused a sense of tranquility in our mind, but also helped each of us spend quality time with each other, something we do not get scope of in the routine schedules. The Western Ghat outing was a lifetime experience with the Neelakurinjis.

Essay on A Picnic with My Family and Relatives – Essay 4 (500 words)

The series of examinations made my brain tired of long hours of study and I badly needed a time out with my family. As for my family, they too had not been gone for any outing for the past few years and hence, after the last exam, I decided to call up my aged uncle who lives in another city and ask him to come over with his family. It was time for a family picnic where parents and kids could meet for a reunion and spend a day happily.

Deciding the Place

While my little nephew and niece jumped for the waterpark, my cousin called for the city memorial park and the elders wanted to go to the riverside picnic spot. Finally I and my sister-in-law suggested the countryside farm where my cousin could enjoy photography, kids could interact with farm animals and parents could explore the farm. Everyone jumped in unison and I called the farm owner to confirm our picnic visit the day after.

The Journey

Waking up early and getting ready for the picnic outing, we finally set out in our car. The owner had verified our visit that day and also prescribed the route to be taken to reach his farm. My Mother and aunt had packed breakfast for us which were finished in no time. From the well paved city highway, we took the sideway path that led us to the outskirts where the farm is situated. The pasture fields on both sides of the road and the country cottages kept us charmed till we reached the farm.

The Farm and the Picnic

The cheerful old owner was standing in front of the gate to greet us and his friendliness immediately made all of us comfortable. He escorted us to the rustic cottage where the brick fireplace made us feel cozy. We were served homemade cakes and breads before he took us to the petting farm.

My nephew and niece were screaming in joy seeing the large cocks and hens, rabbits, cows, buffalos, ponies and horses roaming about freely. The owner also gave us grains to feed the birds and grass to feed the animals. The best part however was the pony rides, which the kids thoroughly enjoyed.

My uncle and father remained with the kids and animals while my mother and aunt were busy in the barn kitchen preparing the lunch. Meanwhile I, my cousin and sister-in-law accompanied the owner, had a look at his vast farm where he grew sunflowers, grapes, pumpkins, tomatoes, potatoes and radishes.

As it was the harvest time, he let us pick the vegetables and grapes to bring back home as well as use for lunch specials with eggs and meat dishes obtained from the farm only. After having a scrumptious lunch together on the large table, all of us decided to interact with the owner, take a walk around the farm and fondle the animals, before setting out for home with a relaxed and stress free mind.

Although meeting the relatives regularly is not possible, thanks to our tight schedules but a quick plan for picnic brought all of us together to have endless chitchats, have food together and visit a new place together. The day ended with a heavy heart but the memory will remain forever.

Essay on Picnic in the Park with Family – My Best Experience – Essay 5 (600 words)

It was during the scorching summer months of the year and summer vacations were going on. With daily office, school and college, neither my father nor I and my sister could plan for a family picnic. The temperature was increasing day by day and my mother suggested that we all should go for a family picnic at the city waterpark. Nothing could be more refreshing than splashing water for the whole day and relaxing on hammocks under shades of trees.

The Picnic Spot

To avoid the weekend crowds, my father planned the picnic on a weekday. The waterpark had lazy rivers, swimming pools, water slides and splash pads. It also had an amusement center where thrill rides enchanted me. The highlight was a separate picnic area tucked in the garden where mango, banyan, palm and eucalyptus trees provided ample shade. We reserved a poolside cabana and the picnic gazebo overlooking the lazy river right under the shade of the mango tree.

How We Spent the Day

While my mother, my sister and I arranged spare clothes and towels along with some dry food, father finalized the route and picking up time with the car driver. We set out at 8 am and reached the waterpark at 9.30 am. My father took the tickets while I bought the refreshments before entering.

After entering, we put our belongings in the lockers and freshened up at the restroom while my mother made sure we have the stomach-full of breakfast with Bread and Butter, Noodles and Egg Benedicts. Afterwards we decided to check out the play area where kids were riding slides and rocking on swings. Swans were roaming about whom we fed bread crumbs. We then explored the garden area where many annual, perennial and ornamental plants were planted in separate areas. Mother, being an avid gardening enthusiast, was thoroughly delighted to see the rose beds and cactus at the greenhouse.

The temperature was increasing and so we decided to take a dip into the large pool area. Being a weekday, there was not much crowd and we had so much fun splashing water onto each other and jumping at the splash pad area. My parents were a bit hesitant in entering the pool, but we dragged them anyway. As father rented tubes for me and my sister, we decided to take a leisurely float on tubes on the lazy river before having large pepperoni pizzas and fried chicken for lunch from the picnic gazebo.

The main attraction however was the water slides and tunnels which dropped at the main pool. As they were costly, we opted for only one and it was worth it. After some more soaking in the pool, we entered the cabana and change into new clothes. The cold beverages served here, were very refreshing. Next we visited the amusement park to ride the Roller Coaster and Sky Wheel which made our hearts beat faster in delight. I and mother had ice creams while my sister took the candy floss and father took the roasted groundnuts from the concession carousel.

It was late afternoon by then and the sun was not so scorching. As we were tired after so much action, we decided to sit back at the cabana and enjoy watching others in the pools. We were served cold coffee before we started for home at 5 pm.

With a perfect combination of greenery, water slides, pools and amusement rides, our picnic at the city waterpark was full of fun even when the sun beat down upon us mercilessly. The cool water of the pool area was soothing in the sweltering heat and we had the best picnic experience under the mango grove.

Advantages of a Family Picnic – Essay 1 (250 Words)

Introduction

A picnic with family is something more than literally being a picnic; it is a family outing that provides many opportunities to talk to your family members, which you wouldn’t be able to do due to busy everyday schedule. It is a time to enjoy and make moments that will be converted into memories.

Advantages of a Family Picnic

A family picnic is advantageous both psychologically, physically and also from the relationship point of view.

An urban family didn’t get much time at its disposal to spend it together with the family members. Even the closest members meet only on dinner tables. Therefore, a family picnic planned on a holiday is like a new lease of life to the relationships and emotional bonding. It also gives you the opportunity to speak to your family members about your future plans, thoughts and all. It is time to unwind your soul and relax your mind.

Also, the picnic is kind of a physical exercise without you even realizing that you are doing one. You walk a long distance, play, and dance and do a number of physical activities as part of the picnic plan. So many physical activities improve your stamina and tone up the vital organs of your body, making them ready for the coming days.

A family picnic is the best way to reignite love among the family members and also to tone up your mental and physical health. It is advisable to organize at least one such outing once in a week or a fortnight to keep the light of love and faith glowing in a family, which is otherwise too busy with everyday chores.

Essay 2 (400 Words) – How to Decide a Family Picnic Destination

A picnic with family is not only an event to go out and enjoy but also a time to understand each other and know what lies in the heart. It’s time to forget the everyday routine and jump into the pool of happiness, joy, and togetherness.

Where to Go?

When you are a part of a nuclear family, living in cramped two-bedroom apartment in some residential complex; your concern for where to go for a picnic with family, is genuine. It’s hard to find a picnic place these days, when you are surrounded by signs of human settlements. But, don’t be disappointed, as there are still lots of good and pristine places left in this world. Hunt for a place that is at a convenient distance from your house to conclude the picnic by the end of the day.

Many cities have zoological parks, commonly referred to as zoo. See if your city has one. A zoo has many small clearings and parks where you can sit back with your family, intermittently during the tour through the animal enclosures. It would be a nice and relaxing experience.

Even if there is no zoo in your city, look for a place outside the city limits, that is often used as a picnic spot by the locals. Take the advice of your friends, neighbors; they must know about a place like this. Take care to avoid isolated and deserted places as it may not be safe from the safety point of view.

A Time to Relax and Enjoy

The moment you start on your picnic expedition, start enjoying each and every moment. Don’t wait for the destination to start enjoying, rather, enjoy even the journey. Sometimes the journey holds more rewards than the destination itself.

Cherish each and every moment and the first thing to do while commencing the journey is to leave your office and home worries locked behind the door. When out on a picnic with your family, you need to keep your headlight without any unnecessary worries and responsibilities. Let your office worries wait till you get back from the picnic. Till then just relax and chill out, spreading love and smile.

Picnic with family is the best that could happen amid the chaos and business of a city life. It is like a shot of energy and happiness both in the life and in the relations.

A Picnic With Family Essay

Essay 3 (500 – 600 Words) – Importance of a Family Picnic

A picnic with family is always a relaxing and pleasurable experience. It gives you a time out with other family members where you can do a number of things and activities together with them.

Importance of a Family Picnic

Family is the most important group of people constituting an individual’s close relatives. It consists of – father, mother, sisters, brothers, sons, daughters, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, grandparents, etc.

Every younger family member in an urban family is too busy all day long in his/her own affairs- office, college, school, etc; while the elders crave for attention and love. Working sons/daughters don’t have time for their ailing parents and are too involved in their own chores. Their day begins with just one thought and that is ‘to reach office on time’. Ironically, it is their day’s primary goal. You may laugh it off, but it is the truth with almost every urban family.

Children in the household, find their grandparents too old fashioned and often avoid their company. In this state of affairs, it becomes necessary to take a step towards saving the broken relationships and bringing them back to life, with whatever resources you have. A picnic is very important as sometimes for a busy family, it is the only weapon to mend their broken relationships and hearts, of course!

When to Plan?

But, what can an earning family member do, on whom lay the responsibility of well being of the family and its expenses. You have to work six days a week 24/7 to meet the requirements of your family and also your own. Don’t be disheartened because you still have the weekends at your disposal and can utilize it at your leisure.

Also, you can choose any of the public, religious or other holidays that your employer grants you. It is not necessary that you need a long holiday for a family picnic; rather, it can be planned only in a day’s time. The key is to get up and get going.

A Time to Reinvent Relationships

A picnic gives the family members ample of time to rejuvenate their relationships. Even if you have seldom spoken to your parents or grandparents in the gone week; it is the right time for you to do so, while on a family picnic.

A picnic is a perfect time to spread smile and interact with each family member on issues close to their heart. You can chat with them about their health and preferences, just to make them feel important and cared for.

It could also prove the best time to ward off any kind of misunderstanding or sour feeling among the members. Picnic gives a time to interact and understand the real intentions, thereby helping in removing misunderstandings.

Some Necessary Precautions

As you have known by now the importance of a family picnic, when to plan it and how it helps in fixing relationships; it is time to move on the most important aspect of a picnic, that is the safety of family members.

It is highly advisable that you get a complete idea of the place where you intend to visit with your family. Search the internet for reviews of the place. Ask any of your friends or colleagues who had already been there. Make sure the place is safe enough and has all the basic amenities and the emergency services available, just in case.

A family picnic is like a family gets together away from home and other everyday chores. It is time to relax and just enjoy the company of your loved ones. You might feel a little lethargic over an idea of a picnic and would prefer relaxing in the comfort of your house, but believe me, once you return from the family picnic; you won’t regret it at all.

In our busy schedules, we often forget to spend time with our family and even ourselves. Picnics are thus a way to take a break from everyday hustle and give ourselves a much-needed change from routine. Picnics are not only fun, but they also strengthen family bonds.

A picnic can provide us with laughter and enjoyment. From our everyday boring lives, we want to take a break and go for a small picnic. Some months ago, I had a picnic with my college buddies. We visited the historic Jaisalmer citadel in Rajasthan. A large range of vacationers go to this place regularly. There were four of us so we hired a vehicle. It took four hours to use and complete the tasks there. We started our adventure early in the morning, so as to explore the whole place. I like visiting at forts and vintage buildings. So, I picked Jaisalmer as our picnic spot.

In these stressful lives, we always look for an escape such that we can forget about our daily problems and enjoy our time away from the pollution and chaos of the city. The best option is to go on a picnic. Picnics are cherished and loved by both kids and adults. It relieves stress and adds some variety to our daily routine.

A picnic is referred to as one of the calmest outdoor activities, although it has its fun sides as well. A meal we consume outside, below the sky, in the presence of sparkling air and plant life, can be termed a picnic. People often plan picnics in parks, lakesides, seashores, and other outside locations that involve a stunning view and clean air.

Importance of Picnic

An outside pastime sometimes helps us calm our minds and maintain desirable fitness. A picnic is how we can add enjoyment to our daily life. There are various kinds of picnics, based on the people who arrange them or the fellow people. There could be college picnics, office picnics, family picnics, and more.

It is no longer incorrect to mention that our everyday lifestyle is full of stress and noise. A picnic introduces an alternative to our daily life. Going out in public places allows people to laugh at themselves. We sing, dance, and do a variety of other activities. A picnic is a powerful way of bringing people close to each other, be it a group of associates, family members, classmates, or buddies. A picnic is a powerful way to solidify emotional bonds.

Picnics allow us to connect with nature as well as with other people. Spending a day out among the trees, vegetation, and greenery has great effects on our experience. Laying or walking barefoot on the grass may be a happy experience for every person.

Picnics allow us to relax in the arms of nature and regain our misplaced strength, as we all know that after city lifestyles tire us, nature is the way to recharge ourselves. Picnics are a way of enjoying our bodies and minds. When we are on a picnic with our loved ones, we enjoy our time to the fullest. It allows us to relax and take deep breaths after weeks of working. If we exclude the food, games and activities are the enjoyable aspects of picnics.

The picnic involved a delightful factor, i.e., food. For some people who must follow a specific weight-reduction plan, picnics can make their food plan flexible for a day and allow them to have whatever meals they prefer. Humans take their favourite snacks to picnics and enjoy them under the stars.

Meal items like sandwiches, fruit juices, and wafers are a few items in each lunch packed for a picnic. Lunch may be considered a crucial part of a picnic. Picnics are a lot of fun for kids because it's like getting a free ticket to have a good time. From getting up early to play with their outside toys to having their favourite snacks, make their days fulfilling for them.

Essay on a Picnic with Family for Children and Students

In This Blog We Will Discuss

Essay on a Picnic with Family in 500 Words

Introduction: Picnic is always fun and picnic with family is awesome. In last summer vacation, I experienced an amazing picnic with my family . That was a memorable life event for me. I will have the memory alive in my heart forever. Let me share my experience and the things that I did there.

My father was planning for a long time to visit the nearest jungle and do a camp there for the entire day. There is a beautiful waterfall and a hilly river to see. We agreed with him and wanted to visit that amazing place. But due to my mother’s job, we have waited until the summer vacation. Finally, we have done that amazing picnic last week. And that was amazing. Let me share my experience with you.

Picnic with Family: The picnic spot was almost 2 hours driving away from our home. One of my cousins joined us. She came from another city to spend her summer vacation with our family. We were extremely happy to have her in our team. We were six people in total, my parents , my grandmother, my younger brother, and the cousin who arrived a few days ago. We fixed a date and we were lucky that it was a sunny day.

In the very early morning, my mother waked me up and told to get ready. I brushed my teeth and got ready within 15 minutes. And then we took our breakfast together. We left our house at 9 o’clock in the morning. My father was driving the car and my mother was sitting beside him. We all were in the back seat. After awhile the side view was changing. We started to see nature. After two hours of driving, we reached a perfect place where we can spend the day. The place was very near the waterfall, but a bit away from the river.

First of all, we all went to the waterfall together and played with water. My cousin took me to the peak of a small hillock. That was a great experience of trekking for me because I never had such experience in my life. I thanked my cousin’s sister a lot for that. It was noon and we all were tired. We came to the car and my mom served our lunch. We ate lots of contentment. The food was delicious. My grandmother enjoyed it a lot too. After lunch she walked a bit around with us. We took her near the waterfall. She was so impressed.

And then my father drove us to the river. We saw the beauty of a hilly river in the afternoon. That was looking dreamy and amazing. And then we went back to our home in the evening.

What I Enjoyed Most: I mostly enjoyed the waterfall, the river, and the trekking experience. I enjoyed a lot in the car while we were going there. We had lots of energy and literally we were shouting. My parents didn’t stop us, because they know we don’t get enough time to enjoy ourselves. Overall that was an amazing experience for me. I will never forget this picnic experience ever in my life.

Conclusion: Everyone should go for a family picnic. That teaches us lots of things and helps us to get a better understanding with family members. We can see lots of new things that enrich our knowledge and make us visionary.

Essay on Picnic in 200 Words

A picnic, an old custom, provides the ideal diversion from the pressures of modern life. It’s a day of simplicity, joy, and connectedness to loved ones and the natural world.

Families and friends assemble in parks, on the shores of lakes while the sun warmly illuminates the surroundings. They spread out blankets decorated with an abundance of homemade treats. The hungry will find sandwiches, seasonal fruits, and refreshing lemonade. A dinner becomes a memorable feast when it is simply shared outside. This simple act of doing so increases the food’s flavour.

The natural melody of birds and rustling leaves is delightfully complemented by conversation and laughter. While kids discover the outdoor attractions, soccer balls and frisbees may fly. The day is for playing games, unwinding, and admiring the scenery.

Picnics promote quality time spent with loved ones and strengthen ties. They provide a break from screens, emails, and due dates while bringing back memories of simpler pleasures in life. Picnics produce priceless memories, whether they are enjoyed by the tranquil sound of a lake or in the shadow of a large oak tree.

In those moments, the world feels beautifully uncomplicated, and our souls find solace in the embrace of nature. Picnics are more than just meals outdoors; they are a celebration of life, love, and the enduring human need for connection and relaxation.

Essay on Picnic in 300 Words

Picnics are enjoyable outings that enrich and calm our lives. Last summer, when my family and I made the decision to get away from the rush and bustle of city life and spend the day in the middle of nature, I had one such unforgettable picnic.

We settled on a gorgeous location next to a calm lake surrounded by luxuriant green foliage. A pleasant symphony was produced by the rustling of the leaves as the early sun touched the water and placed a golden hue on it.

The day was jam-packed with entertainment. I was playing catch with my younger sister as my parents had a leisurely stroll around the lake. My mother made those sandwiches with such care, and they were just unmatched in flavour.

We decided to continue our exploration of the area after lunch. In the midst of the tranquil beauty of the lake, we rented a rowboat and set out on the water. Fish were darting beneath the surface in the glisteningly bright water. Even my father gave fishing a shot, but we only managed to reel in a few little fish.

We gathered along the lake’s side as the day dragged on to watch the sunset. The horizon was painted with hues of orange, pink, and purple as the sky changed into a canvas of warm colours. We were all in amazement at the sight, which served as a reminder of nature’s utter beauty.

We started a bonfire and told tales around it as darkness began to fall over the scene. The roaring fire and the shooting stars above gave the night a magical touch.

We reluctantly packed our things and said goodbye to our wonderful location. That picnic’s memories will live on in my heart always. It served as a reminder that, despite our hectic schedules, these are the times we actually value.

Essay on Picnic in 400 Words

A picnic is a lovely outdoor activity that enables individuals to escape from the bustle of daily life, spend quality time with loved ones, and connect with nature. The core of a picnic is found in the straightforward joys it provides, whether the excursion is a last-minute adventure or a carefully planned outing.

Selecting the ideal venue is the first step in picnic planning. Numerous elements, including closeness, the beauty of the surrounding area, and the activities on offer, may have an impact on this choice.

The menu is the most important consideration after the location is chosen. Delicious food is synonymous with picnics, and a thoughtfully planned spread may increase everyone’s enjoyment. Popular options include cold sandwiches, fruit, chips, salads, and homemade desserts. To guarantee that everyone’s taste buds are satiated, pack a variety of dishes.

The menu comes second in importance after the choice of site. Delicious food is a picnic staple, and a well-planned spread may increase everyone’s enjoyment. Fresh fruit, chips, salads, cold sandwiches, and handmade sweets are all common options. Everyone’s taste buds will be satiated if a variety of dishes are packed.

Excitation is in the air as the gang gathers on the day of the picnic. Gathered with smiles, baskets, and blankets, friends and family are prepared to enjoy the embrace of nature. Everyone contributes in order to create the ideal setting for relaxation as they work together to set up a cosy picnic area.

The menu comes next in importance once the venue has been selected. A thoughtfully planned spread can improve the entire enjoyment of a picnic, which is linked with good food. Popular options include cold sandwiches, fruits straight from the garden, chips, salads, and homemade desserts.

The picnickers are filled with satisfaction as the day comes to an end and the sun starts to set. It’s time to tidy up, store the leftovers from the feast, and leave the area as spotless as you found it. This commitment to the environment assures that picnickers in the future can take in the same unspoiled splendour.

In conclusion, a picnic is more than just a lunch outside; it’s a rejuvenating event for both body and spirit. It’s time to unplug from technology and re-establish relationships with friends, family, and the environment.

A Picnic – English essay on Family Picnic

A Picnic – English essay on Family Picnic

admin September 1, 2017 Essays in English 92,390 Views

Picnics are liked by everyone, but children especially jump for joy when the word is mentioned. That is what happened to us when we learnt that a few families from our colony had planned on a day’s outing to the nearby Rajaji National Park.

The exciting day arrived and we packed ourselves and all the picnic gear into a van and set off. We had already booked a guest house for the day. We children quickly freshened ourselves and ran to play in the grounds.

When all our parents were ready, we walked to a small river nearby to picnic in its banks. Then the elders chose a place where the water was only two or three feet deep, and we all held hands and crossed over to the other side. What fun it was! We slipped on the stones and kept falling into the water. The stones hurt our feet but we didn’t mind.

After that we had a hearty lunch of some of the tastiest things that our mothers had ever prepared. We then went around the National Park itself. it was very tiring, but we were thrilled when we saw a herd of elephants in the distance. We also saw several colorful birds and even a green snake.

We returned to the guest house and played some more games till evening. By then we were thoroughly tired. The warm bed after the ride home was very welcome. It was one of the happiest days of my life, and I will always cherish its memory.

Long Essay on a Picnic with Family 500 Words in English

Human beings are society-bound creatures. We need family and friends to keep us grounded. That is why family forms an integral part of our lives. Without family, all of would be without an identity, a background, or an origin. Amidst our quick-paced lives, we often tend to take our family for granted. We end up neglecting them and not spending enough time with them. A pleasant day out with our family is the best way to reconnect with them, as well as energize our selves.

A family picnic brings together all the family; it helps in strengthening bonds and the recovery of severed and forgotten memories. It brings all of us closer together. Last December, over the Winter Vacation, my family and I went to a picnic. The picnic took place in a bungalow that we had booked for an entire day, located two hours away from the city. A plush and beautiful garden surrounded the cottage, had a large lawn running around the circle, and overlooked a lake.

When the idea of having a family picnic was in talks, it had filled me with an impending sense of immense joy and excitement. A family picnic implied a gathering of all my cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents, and my parents. Since I have a nuclear family and stay with only my mother and father, the prospect of having my entire extended family over, gave me a feeling of unexplainable happiness.

Keeping in mind all the holidays, we had decided on the 26th of December; the schools were shut, the offices were closed, and the excitement of the Christmas celebrations was still fresh in the air. The weather was just pleasant, neither too hot nor too cold. We were twenty people in total, including all my cousins and distant relatives; we had booked a 35-seater bus.

On the morning of the 26th, at six o’clock, we departed for the venue, all fresh and lively. It was around nine when we reached the spot. The bungalow was prepared for our arrival. The pantry was stocked with supplies, and a ferry was arranged just by the lake. Having settled down in the place, we first set up temporary make-shift umbrellas and chairs on the lawn. My cousins and I got our tennis nets racquets out and were soon involved in a competitive game of doubles. The day trickled away, filled with enthusiastic chatters, pranks, and casual conversation and jokes.

We had a lavish and sumptuous lunch ( into the preparation of which all of us had contributed, some way or another). Later in the evening, we decided to take a ferry ride out on the lake. It was a soothing and calming experience. With the sunlight slowly fading away and giving way to darkness, we floated around in the water, music playing from the stereo we had brought along.

Around seven in the evening, when darkness had engulfed us totally, we set out for home on our bus. It indeed was a joyous and beautiful experience.

A picnic with our family gives us the scope to catch up with them and become closer to them. It brings a million memories to mind and also helps in creating memories for reminiscing in the future. I indeed had a gala time on my family picnic.

Essay on picnic

One of the most interesting and unforgettable picnics that I took with my family when I was young. But we were going with the whole family, and because of the presence of the grandfather and the grandmother and all the relatives, we had great fun.

The picnics are beautiful when we are many and the relationship between us is good. If the number is small and the relationship is bad, it will become a terrible nightmare and not a beautiful picnic.

In elementary school I went with my family to the summer resort and there were about 30 people. Our ages ranged from 5 to 60 years.

We chose to camp at the seaside for 3 days. The adults provided us with places to sleep and food. As children, we used to play in the sea and on the beach with happiness and without worry or fear.

And when night came, we would light bonfires and we would all sit around them. We were telling stories and making jokes while eating fruit and nuts.

Beach trips are among the most beautiful trips you may go on one day. But in order to go to the beach, you must equip yourself with certain equipment.

One of the most important pieces of equipment is the clothes that you will go to the beach with, the most important of which is the appropriate swimwear. And you must take sunscreen and towels with you.

As for the food, it must be ready-made food so that it does not spoil from the intense heat. And do not forget to take drinks and ice water with you to reduce the heat.

And in order to feel the fun, take a device dedicated to playing your favorite music with you so that you can have fun in the evening.

And if you want to have more fun, you can go to the night parties that are held on the beach. At these parties you will dance and have any kind of your favorite drink. You will get to know other visitors and may be able to make new friends.

Everyone is eagerly waiting for the holiday. Each of us has a special place that he likes to spend his vacation in.

One person may go to several places that are not similar to each other.

If the holiday is in the spring, we go to the public gardens where greenery and flowers. And if the vacation is in the summer, there is nothing better than the sea to swim and relax on the beach

But when the holidays are in the winter, it is a special time, and we go to the air-conditioned cinema with friends or family, to watch a fun movie while eating popcorn.

There are other places that can be visited in winter, such as the famous archaeological sites that lie in the middle of the extremely hot desert, where it is impossible to visit in the summer.

Last year, my dad suggested we go on a jungle trek. My mother refused this summer camp, because she was afraid of insects. But my dad insisted I go camping. For me and my brother we were excited to go

One day my father came and bought all the tools needed and said we would go as soon as possible. Indeed, we traveled to the camping site and went down to choose a suitable place to set up the tent and set fire to it.

Last year I traveled with my family to Sharm El Sheikh. This beautiful city is characterized by stunning scenery and beautiful beaches.

We would go down to the beach and enjoy swimming and playing beach ball. In the evenings, we would spend a special time on the beach, telling each other funny and terrifying stories. And when it was late we would go up to the room and sleep. It was a special family vacation.

If you love diving, you will not find a better city than Sharm El-Sheikh and Hurghada. These picturesque coastal cities are characterized by the presence of coral reefs greatly, which revives the marine life and makes it rich in hundreds of species of fish and marine creatures that attract tourists in abundance.

Picnic party essay

Last month my sister was celebrating her birthday. She decided to have her birthday on the beach. So my mom said we’d have a party on a beach trip. Indeed, we traveled to a beautiful coastal city. We took our friends and some close family members with us.

When we got to the beach we put up our sleeping tents. And then we prepared the beach for the night celebration. Indeed, we had the party in the evening under the moonlight.

As for the food, it was a number of grills and salads. And we didn’t forget to bring her a birthday cake. The cake was innovative and beautiful, as the baker told us that we wanted it in the form of an island with blue water around it, and in the middle two palm trees with coconuts.

My sister liked the cake and was amazed at how beautiful it was because she didn’t expect us to get her a special cake.

Essay on picnic with friends

When I was in primary school I wished to go on a trip with my friends. But my father refused to let me travel with them.

When I reached middle school phase, I decided to travel with my friends to visit the pyramids. Indeed, my father agreed this time.

I traveled with them and was very happy. When we reached the pyramids, I was amazed at their large size and the accuracy of their construction. We rode camels and took pictures next to the pyramids. It was a beautiful trip because my friends were with me.

So we agreed to come again and go to other places together. But the new place will be a coastal city characterized by the presence of coral reefs, for us to dive under the sea and watch the amazing marine life.

A picnic essay for class 9

When it comes time for vacation, whether weekly or the end of the year, everyone feels the thrill and enjoyment because of the opportunities to travel to the summer and entertainment places.

But what are the available places to travel? There are a large number of countries and coastal cities, which is the main destination for most students.

What distinguishes the beaches is that they are an open place, so a person can run and play. It is characterized by the presence of water, so he can swim and enjoy various water games.

As for the closed places, they restrict movement and have no features suitable for children or young people, but they are only suitable for the elderly.

As for the holidays, which are in the winter season, there are certain places that are suitable for the cold climate. These include any place that is open and adequately exposed to the sun, such as desert trips and camping. Including public parks and zoos.

Short essay on picnic

I will tell you about my trip last year which was a desert safari. We went to a secluded place away from the city because we were bored with the crowds. On the safari we were able to sleep right under the stars and see the moon for the first time. As for the food, it is grills that we make ourselves from the meat of wild rabbits.

From time to time we go to explore the nearby caves and enjoy the clean air and waters of the nearby waterfalls.

It was a very enjoyable and relaxing trip.

What makes everyone love camping or safari trips is that they get away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

When you sleep in the desert feel great psychological comfort.

Therefore, doctors advise some people who suffer from psychological and nervous stress to go out on trips through nature.

Picnic with family essay

Going out with the family can be fun and boring. It’s fun if the family has kids your age, so you can talk to them and play with them. But if all your family members are adults then you will get bored and will not like the trip.

That is why I would ask my mother about my relatives before going on a family trip, and if my cousins would come, I would go with them without hesitation. But if they didn’t come I would apologize for the trip and go out with my friends.

And when we go out with the family, we bring a tent with us to feel the camping atmosphere. We bring delicious food with us so that we can have fun during the trip and not feel hungry because of a lot of running and playing. And don’t forget to bring the games that we will play such as soccer, tack and others.

Write a paragraph on a picnic

In everyone’s life there are memories of a particular journey, whether it was good or bad. For me, there were two kinds of trips in my life.

The first trip was beautiful and enjoyable, and it is a trip to a distinctive coastal city. What I loved about this trip was that it was with the whole family. We played and had fun the whole trip.

The second type of trips are bad trips that leave a sad impression. I had a bad trip with some unpopular neighbors. I was bored and couldn’t get up or enjoy the sea because of their looks and their watching over me at every step.

That is why I advise all my close friends to know who they are going with on the trip before they go. And if they find undesirable people, they must back away from going and look for another trip with good people so as not to spoil the trip.

Picnic at the beach essay

One of the most important pieces of this equipment is the clothes that you will go to the beach with, the most important of which is the appropriate swimwear. And you must take sunscreen and towels with you.

Picnic composition

If you decide to go on a trip, you must specify its destination, because each place has certain equipment. If you decide to go to the beach, you must prepare beach clothes and tools for playing on the beach.

As for going to a desert place, it requires certain equipment and comfortable shoes for walking in the sand and climbing the heights. If you are going on a trip to an archaeological site, cameras must be prepared to take souvenir photos.

Fortunately there are many places to spend the holiday, these days all countries are interested in entertainment.

If you want to go out, you will find deserts and mountains for those who love rough nature. And find beaches and water parks for those who love water and play. You have circuses and zoos for those who love watching animals of all kinds.

MY BROTHER, MY LAND: A Story From Palestine, by Sami Hermez with Sireen Sawalha

THE TALE OF A WALL: Reflections on the Meaning of Hope and Freedom, by Nasser Abu Srour. Translated by Luke Leafgren.

“The story of Palestine cannot be told smoothly,” the critic Edward Said observes in “ After the Last Sky ,” a meditation on the complexities of being Palestinian. “Palestinian life is scattered, discontinuous, marked by the artificial and imposed arrangements of interrupted or confined space,” he writes. “No straight line leads from home to birthplace to school to maturity, all events are accidents, all progress is a digression, all residence is exile.”

“My Brother, My Land” is a memoir of discontinuities, interruptions and confinements. The story belongs to Sireen Sawalha, a Palestinian woman who recounts the short and troubled life of her younger brother, Iyad, a high-ranking member of the militant group Islamic Jihad. Sawalha’s family narratives are relayed to us by the anthropologist Sami Hermez, who weaves them into their historical context. The resulting portrait of a Palestinian militant is at once intimate and patchy. Dramatic details stand out against a background of murky and perhaps unrecoverable motives.

In early chapters, Sawalha, born in 1966, tells the story of her hardscrabble childhood in the village of Kufr Ra’i, northwest of Nablus. In 1967, Sawalha’s mother, Mayda, was traveling with three young daughters in Jordan when war broke out between Israel and its Arab neighbors. While thousands of Palestinians fled what is now the West Bank, Mayda returned to Kufr Ra’i, where she secured the family home and its small fruit orchard. In Sawalha’s accounts of the olive and plum harvests, the picking of za’atar and the never-ending cycle of chores, she evokes a largely vanished world of rural Palestine, before its encirclement by Israeli settlements and the infrastructure of occupation.

The cover of “My Brother, My Land” shows an illustration of a barefoot woman in a patterned dress walking through empty abstracted space toward an orchard behind a house.

These are the book’s most vivid pages. But it is the story of Iyad, the sixth of Mayda’s 13 children, which takes up most of “My Brother, My Land.” Born in 1974, Iyad had no experience of life before occupation. As a teenager, he witnessed the deaths of two schoolmates, killed by Israeli soldiers for throwing rocks during the first intifada. Soon after, he joined the paramilitary group Fahd al-Aswad (the Black Panthers) to take arms against the Israeli military and punish any Palestinians whom the group saw as collaborators.

In 1991, he was involved in the execution of four young men, supposed traitors. Hermez isn’t conclusive about the extent of Iyad’s participation, but notes that he came to regret his role. Iyad was captured by Israeli Defense Forces, interrogated and, Hermez writes, beaten. He was sentenced to 215 years in prison.

Seven years after his arrest, however, he was released as part of the diplomatic measures taken in the wake of the Oslo Accords. In prison, Iyad encountered the teachings of Islamic Jihad, a group hostile to political negotiations. Despite the pleadings of his father, who feared Iyad’s activities might lead to the destruction of their home, he planned a number of suicide bombing operations in Israel, one of which killed 13 soldiers and several civilians on a public bus. In 2002, Iyad was killed in Jenin by I.D.F. soldiers, who exchanged fire with him and broke into his hide-out, reportedly goading his civilian neighbors through the door first to act as human shields.

At its best, “My Brother, My Land” captures the tragic stuntedness of Iyad’s life and illuminates the sordidness of the occupation. But Hermez often struggles to inhabit his subject. He takes unusual liberties in depicting Iyad’s mental states, drawing from other stories of Palestinian prisoners to fill the gaps. His account of the bus bombing is written with a breathlessness more suited to a potboiler than a work of serious moral inquiry, and his fascination with Iyad occasionally lapses into uncritical admiration. Hermez describes a desire to “follow the path of Che Guevara,” to connect his writerly work to the liberation of Palestine. “Romantic thoughts,” he admits. “But then there is no resistance without romance.”

There are times one wishes for less romance. The backbone of Hermez’s book is the Sawalha women. It is Mayda who returns to Kufr Ra’i and protects the family home (when Israeli forces demolish it, as the father feared, Iyad tells his sister, “God will build you a palace in heaven”). It is the women who raise the children, take care of the elderly and organize trips to prison (where Iyad tells Sireen she shouldn’t visit him unless she wears a hijab). Perhaps there is nothing particularly romantic about such activities, but there would be no resistance without them.

Iyad’s is a tangled and sorrowful life. Although Sireen visited him in jail, she mostly received news through relatives. Is the story of her baby brother, whom she tickled on a picnic blanket during breaks from fruit-picking, the story of the same person who seems to have become a single-minded militant? Listening to Sireen recount her family tale, Hermez felt that “she needed someone to make sense of it.”

Even Palestinian prisoners who write their own stories can struggle to make sense of their lives. Nasser Abu Srour’s memoir, “The Tale of a Wall,” echoes the story of Iyad in disquieting fashion. Born in 1969 in a refugee camp near Bethlehem, he was sentenced to life in prison in 1993 after confessing — apparently under torture — to involvement in the killing of an Israeli intelligence officer.

Abu Srour’s book is a disquisition on the toll of prolonged confinement as well as his methods of surviving it. “Don’t set your roots too deep in any world you inhabit,” he advises. “In prison,” he writes, “you are your liberation.”

Another liberation comes through reading. Abu Srour earned a master’s degree in political science while in prison and he scatters references to Kierkegaard, Kant and Derrida throughout the book. His ironic style — he reflects on his own life in mock-epic terms — owes something to the bitter comedies of the Israeli-Palestinian politician and writer Emile Habibi. His flights of lyricism, capably rendered into English by Luke Leafgren, turn each scene of prison life into a kind of prose poem — “rooms and courtyards so narrow that the sun grew tired of being confined within them and moved quickly on” — that recalls the memoirs of the Palestinian poet Mahmoud Darwish.

At times, the fancy prose style seems like an evasion. Abu Srour offers few details about his arrest, interrogation or court case (“you are surprised to discover that you wrote a confession”). It is only the book’s back cover that mentions the killing of the Israeli agent. This conspicuous silence is debilitating to the memoir, since the reader can never quite trust Abu Srour’s version of events or account of his motives.

There’s also little evidence of his interest in other people. The second half of his book tells the story of his doomed romance with a young Palestinian-Italian lawyer, Nanna, who regularly visits him in jail. But Nanna never comes alive on the page. Her letters to Abu Srour, quoted at length, are awkwardly melodramatic and full of paeans to the power of his words, and he never seems to inquire about her life.

This self-centeredness is eloquent in its own way, as a testimony to the conditions of writing — the punishing solitude of a life lived behind bars. Reading both memoirs, I thought of Darwish’s short poem “No Walls to the Cell,” whose title describes so many sites of Palestinian life, from exile to the refugee camps to Gaza. It is sobering — and frightening — to imagine what stories will emerge from the current invasion, which has turned the prisons of Palestinian existence into slaughterhouses.
