Title: Winter Season – Embracing the Beauty and Challenges of the Chilly Months

Introduction :

Winter, one of the four seasons, is a time of the year that brings a distinct change in weather and scenery. Lasting from December to February in most parts of the world, winter is known for its cold temperatures, shorter days, and unique charm that captures the hearts of many. The season offers a delightful respite from the scorching heat of summer and creates an environment of tranquility and serenity. From snow-covered landscapes to cozy evenings by the fireplace, winter evokes a sense of nostalgia, joy, and warmth.

The Beauty of Winter

Winter transforms the world into a picturesque wonderland. Trees shed their leaves, revealing bare branches that dance against the pale winter sky. Snowflakes gently descend from above, painting the ground in a pristine white layer, turning even the most ordinary landscapes into scenes of ethereal beauty. The sight of snow-covered mountains, frozen lakes, and frost-kissed foliage fills our hearts with awe and wonder.

Winter also brings a unique kind of silence. The stillness in the air, broken only by the soft crunch of snow beneath our feet, offers a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. It provides an opportunity to slow down, reflect, and appreciate the simple pleasures of life.

Outdoor Activities

Despite the cold temperatures, winter entices people to engage in a variety of outdoor activities. Winter sports such as skiing, snowboarding, ice skating, and sledding become popular pastimes. The thrill of gliding down a snowy slope or gracefully skating across an icy rink brings immense joy and exhilaration. Families and friends gather to build snowmen, have snowball fights, and create snow angels, fostering bonds and creating lasting memories.

Winter also offers the perfect opportunity for nature enthusiasts to explore the beauty of the season. Hiking through snow-covered trails or taking peaceful walks in the crisp winter air allows us to appreciate nature in its most serene state. Birdwatching becomes an exciting activity as migratory birds visit different regions, adding splashes of color to the otherwise white landscape.

Festivals and Celebrations

Winter is a season of festivities and celebrations. The holiday season, with Christmas and New Year’s Eve at its core, brings families and friends together to celebrate love, joy, and togetherness. Homes are adorned with sparkling lights, beautifully decorated Christmas trees, and the aroma of delicious food fills the air. It is a time for exchanging gifts, singing carols, and spreading goodwill.

Winter is also marked by cultural and religious celebrations around the world. Diwali, the Festival of Lights in India, is celebrated with grandeur, illuminating homes and streets with earthen lamps and vibrant decorations. Hanukkah, the Jewish festival, is a time of lighting the menorah and commemorating the miracle of the oil.

Challenges and Precautions

While winter brings enchantment and joy, it also presents its share of challenges. The plummeting temperatures demand that we take necessary precautions to stay warm and healthy. Proper clothing, including warm sweaters, jackets, scarves, and gloves, shields us from the biting cold. Layering clothing helps trap body heat and insulate us against the chilly winds.

Winter can also take a toll on our health. Cold and flu become common during this season, and it is important to practice good hygiene and boost our immune systems through a balanced diet, regular exercise, and adequate sleep. Additionally, staying hydrated is crucial, as we may not feel as thirsty during colder months.

Conclusion :

Winter is a season of beauty, tranquility, and celebration. It invites us to appreciate the marvels of nature and enjoy the warmth of relationships. From snow-covered landscapes to festive gatherings, winter offers a unique experience that captivates our senses and fills our hearts with joy. While the challenges of cold weather exist, they can be overcome with proper precautions. As we embrace the beauty and challenges of winter, let us cherish the moments it brings, creating memories that will warm our hearts for years to come.

Essay on My Favourite Season Winter

Winter is the best of all seasons and I like this season the most. December, January and February are the three winter months. The weather at this time is very pleasant. In this season we can work hard but do not get tired. We put on warm clothes and enjoy the bright sunshine. The nights are very cold. The night in a warm bed under a quilt is very comfortable.

Paddy is harvested in this season. Colourful seasonal flowers grow in gardens. Fish, vegetables and fruits are also available in plenty in this season. They are very cheap also. This is the most suitable time for holding picnics in the open air. We can go out and hold excursions in winter.

Various types of fairs are held and festivals like Saraswati Puja, Christmas, and New Year’s Day are celebrated in this season. While we enjoy the cool comfort of the winter, the poor people suffer a lot during these months. They do not have warm clothes to protect them from cold. Overall I love this season very much.

My Favourite Season Summer Essay

Of all the six seasons, my favourite season is summer. It is the hottest season of the year. The summer season starts in March and ends in June. In this season the sun shines brightly. The best part of this season is summer vacation. This is a great relief from a hectic schedule, home works, and exam pressure. I enjoy the vacation by going to a beach or a hill station with friends and families. In summer I like to have cold drinks, lassi, ice cream, and coconut water.

We get many fruits in this season like mango, watermelon, litchi, jackfruit, pineapple etc. Many festivals such as charak puja, Rama Navami, Baisakhi, Rabindra Jayanti, etc. are celebrated in this season. There are varieties of fruits and vegetables available during this season. Many beautiful flowers like Lilly, Marigold, Roses, Dahlia, and Sunflower bloom in this season. Summer is just a wonderful season with so much fun and enjoyment.

My Favourite season Rainy Season

The season I like most is the Rainy season or monsoon. In India, this season begins in mid-June and ends in early September. Rainy season comes after the scorching heat of summer season and gives us relief. Clouds float here and there in the sky. Lightning and thunder occur frequently. People can be seen with umbrellas and raincoats. Dry rivers and lakes become full.

Farmers plough their fields. Children become very happy. They make paper boats and dance in the rain. A variety of fruits, vegetables, and crops grow in this season. Beautiful flowers blossom in this time. Beautiful rainbows can be seen in the sky.  This season brings a lot of festivals like Raksha Bandhan, 15th August, Teej, Janmashtami, etc. We can enjoy various types of dishes in the rain.

But sometimes heavy rainfall brings the flood. Flood causes many to lose their lives, houses, and livelihood. On the other hand, if there is no rainfall for a long time, drought can occur. This causes extensive damage to crops. So, the Rainy season is an important season for us.

My Favourite Season Autumn

India is a land of seasons. Six seasons come and pass away here. Autumn, however, appears to me the most charming season of all. It covers roughly two months-September and October. Our earth looks fresh and bright with its coming. The cloudy sky and the rainy weather are over in autumn. A deep blue sky smiles and the sun shines brightly. Nature is adorned with grace and charms. The natural beauty of the season is greatly appealing to me.

Autumn is dear to me for another important reason. This is the season for the greatest Bengali festival-the Durga Puja. This is the festival of joy and happiness. It makes one happy. I enjoy in it the happiness of the season.

My Favourite Season Autumn Essay

During the rainy season, the sky remains overcast with clouds. Rains fall continually. But, with autumn, the clouds are no more. A deep blue sky spreads, like a deep blue sea. The white patches of clouds float like little fairy boats.

The day looks golden with the sun shining. The night has a silvery moon, with its silvery luster. The millions of stars, too, sparkle. Now and then, rain begins to fall thick and fast. But then suddenly the rain stops and, again, a deep blue sky smiles. In autumn, the rivers are full to the brim. The fields are all green and golden with crops. Men and women are busy among them, reaping the harvest. Nature and man seem to unite in one mood of peaceful gladness. Autumn is my favourite season.

Winter Season Essay 100 words

Winter is also called the cold season or the cold weather season . The season starts in December and lasts until March when the Holi festival is held. During the winter, the sun doesn’t get very hot, and the air is cool and pleasant all day long. When it’s cold, people sweat to get rid of it. And even though people work long hours, they don’t feel too tired.

As winter begins and the days go by, it gets colder and colder. When this happens, I always feel too lazy to get up early in the morning, and I always want to sleep for a little longer. Winters is one of my favourite seasons.

Winter Season Essay 150 words

Most of the time, the days get shorter, and the nights get longer in the winter. Winter happens mostly when the earth moves away from the sun instead of toward it. This happens when the earth is at a certain distance from the sun. Because the sun’s rays don’t reach as far, its heat doesn’t reach the earth.

When winter comes, people don’t want to take baths over and over again. During the winter, machines like cooler fans and AC are not much used. And because of this, less bill comes. In a way, this saves both electricity and money, and winter comes everywhere at the same time. Winter is my favourite season because it is the one I spend the most time outside enjoying the peaceful environment and warm feel of the home.

Winter Season Essay

Winter Season Essay 200 words

My friends and I live in the town, and on Sunday mornings in the winter, we get up early to go for a walk. In the morning, we just like to walk around since the weather is nice and there is fog all over everything. At times, the fog is so thick that we can’t see what’s right ahead of us. When it’s like this, walking feels like walking in a sky filled with clouds. Taking a walk in this winter season makes you happy in a different way.

Even though the sun is at the top, there is not a lot of heat in the air. The weather is nice, so it’s nice to go outside. During the winter, the environment changes in many ways. For example, trees start to lose their leaves and grow new ones. Fallen leaves around trees make them look pretty. There’s green grass everywhere, and it begins to feel like we’re surrounded by beautiful parks.

We wear a jacket to school when it’s cold, and going to class in the winter is fun because everybody plays with the steam from their mouths. When the cold gets worse, sleeping with two or three blankets is a different feeling. I enjoy this season very much.

Winter Season Essay 250 words

Winter is one of the most desired seasons due to its time of peace and quiet. This season starts in mid-November and ends in mid-March. But December and January are the coldest months in this season. Winter is a fun season for kids because they can play games like snowball fights. Also, we can watch our favourite tv shows while drinking tea or coffee and eating yummy meals.

Cold weather evenings are the most fun, and people like to walk around and buy food from market stalls. Children enjoy their winter breaks by enjoying outside games in the sun. Well, people wait for the sun in the winter because they like to relax and have fun in the sun. After all, it makes them feel warm and comfortable. Sometimes the sun doesn’t even shine, and it gets too cold, leaving people frozen.

People do everything they can to stay warm and safe. For example, they burn wood and paper along the roads to get some heat and to feel better.  Most hilly areas are covered in snow in the winter, and people have to clear it away to get to other places. In December, when Christmas and New Year’s are celebrated, there is also a feeling of celebration. But winter is terrible for animals and people who don’t have someplace warm to stay. Still, winter is an important part of the year and is needed to keep the world in balance.

Winter Season Essay 300 words

INTRODUCTION

Winter is my favourite time of year, and even though we live in a country with all four seasons, it’s still my favourite. It starts after the fall season and ends when the spring season comes back. I really like the season because of how cold it is. We stay healthy and fit because of the season. In our country, this season lasts for about three months. During this season, days are short, and nights are long.

CELEBRATION TIME

Winter has a lot of celebrations, like Christmas , New Year’s, Holi, etc. At this time of year, help them farm their rice and grow things like cabbage, green peas, beans, and so on. In India, people often go on trips or travels with family or friends during the winter break.

BEAUTY OF THE WINTER SEASON

This time of year, we wear clothes that are made of threads to keep our bodies warm. During the winter, when everything is covered in ice, hilly areas look amazing. Ice on anything is as lovely as pearls. When the sun comes up, flowers of all different colours grow, giving the picture a new look. The season is great, but it also has some issues.

FEW DIFFICULTIES IN THE WINTER SEASON.

In the winter, it’s hard to go out at night. Even though winter in the United States is not as bad as it is in some other countries, it makes things harder for people who already have problems. They can’t buy the clothes they need, and some of them don’t even have their own homes. They have to sleep outside in the cold at night. We should do our best to help them by giving people who can’t afford warm clothes.

Some schools have bonfires, which are among the most awaited events of the year. In short, winter is just as important as any other time of year. It may have both negative and positive parts.

Winter Season Essay 500 words

THE DEFINITION OF WINTER

Generally, schools are closed for the season and take breaks during the winter. The days are getting shorter, but the nights are getting longer. The cool air in the morning makes you feel very different. During the winter, people usually enjoy hot drinks like tea and hot chocolate. The sun comes up very late, and sometimes it doesn’t rise at all.

Even when it does, it does not become a bit hot. People wait for a little bit of sunshine when the cold weather starts and chills their bones. People can be seen on the roads setting fire to wood and paper in hard work to get warm. Still, not many people like to go outside in the winter. They love nothing more than to spend the day sitting in front of the fireplace or the heater.

WHY THE WINTER SEASON IS IMPORTANT

Even from the point of view of our society, the winter season holds a special and important place. By the time winter comes around, the rainy season is normally over. This means that rivers are at their best advantage, and the weather is perfect for getting out and discovering the area. People celebrate with their families and take part in other events, like Christmas and New Year’s, when the weather is nice. During this time of year, a lot of people take holidays and travel to different places.

NEGATIVE SIDE

But unfortunately, there are also some bad things about this time of year. People who work on the land, people who don’t have homes, and animals are the ones who suffer the most during this time of year. There are not many ways for farmers to make money during this time of year. Hundreds of people without homes die every year because of how harsh the winters are.

The animals die because they don’t have a safe place to live, which is important for their survival. During this time of year, a large number of flights are also forced to cancel for different reasons. Even so, winter is just as important as it would have been without this. Keeping the weather in our country in balance is a so very important thing to do.

WHY DO I LIKE THE WINTER SEASON?

Winter is the best season of the year for me. Fresh fruits and vegetables that are good for you are widely available this time of year. People can eat fresh grapes, apples, carrots, cabbage, and many other fruits and vegetables. Also, there are a lot of beautiful flowers at this time of year. This selection is made up of roses and other types of flowers. This makes the season’s natural beauty even more beautiful than it already is.

Different countries have created various ways of dealing with winter. It is difficult to say whether or not the result will be bad. To be effective, you need to plan properly yourself by doing the things required.

My Favourite Season Essay

My favourite season is winter. It begins in November and lasts until February every year. Schools usually shut down for a few days during peak winters and children get to relax at home while eating their favourite winter foods. Hilly areas can be cold, yet a delight to visit for the snowfall they witness during winter. Here are a few sample essays on “My Favourite Season” .

My Favourite Season Essay

100 Words Essay On My Favourite Season

Winter is one of India's four main seasons. It lasts from November until February. I enjoy winter the most because I enjoy the cold. The days are shorter, while the nights are longer during this season. December 21 marks the winter solstice, which falls during this time.

How We Enjoy | Going on picnics or enjoying a winter afternoon meal under the sun are immensely enjoyed at this time of year. Although my mother always warns me against it, I am fond of eating ice cream during the winter. We often have bonfires at home in the evenings with the entire family, where we enjoy popcorn and other snacks while drinking hot coffee.

Winter, in my opinion, is the most beautiful and colourful of all the seasons, giving me an unexplainable sense of warmth.

200 Words Essay On My Favourite Season

The winter season begins in November and lasts until February. The winter months of December and January are the coldest of the year. In some parts of the country, the temperature drops below five °C.

Some parts of India also witness snowfall during the winter. A white blanket of snow covering everything is a beautiful sight to witness. Many famous tourist destinations, like Shimla, Manali, etc., also see snowfall during the winter. People often travel to these places during winter holidays and enjoy the snowfall.

Best Things About Winter

People dress in warmer clothing, such as jackets, coats, sweaters, and cardigans, to shield themselves from the chilly winds. In the colder months, I love consuming hot beverages like hot soups, hot milk, and hot coffee. I can enjoy my favourite fruits, like oranges, apples, and kiwis, during this time of year. My family and I often light a bonfire and enjoy winter evenings.

My mother generally makes "carrot halwa", a delicious sweet delicacy, around this time of year, and I adore eating it. I love spending my entire day curled up in blankets. Last but not least, I enjoy spending time with my family and enjoying indoor games inside during this season. Although each season has its unique beauty, for many reasons that only the winter offers, I love this season.

500 Words Essay On My Favourite Season

I appreciate each season, for it has its unique offerings. Every season has its advantages and disadvantages. However, if I had to choose a favourite season, I would choose winter. I eagerly wait for the arrival of winter every year.

Winter begins in October and lasts until February. This season's coldest months are December and January. In the winter, the sun's rays are calming. Many people enjoy soaking in the sun’s rays on their homes’ rooftops during the winter.

The Speciality Of Winter Season

Shorter days and longer nights are specialities of the winter season. The mornings and evenings of winter are chilly and frosty.

Natural Beauty | I enjoy cooking potatoes over a fireplace while relaxing nearby. Most of the time, we are wrapped up in warm blankets. The sight of dew drops lying or falling on flower petals is lovely. After sunrise, which is typically delayed in the winter, the air becomes almost hazy and then clears.

Winter Foods | There are many different foods that we can eat in the winter. A variety of fruits and vegetables are readily available. In this season, people love hot beverages like coffee and tea as well as hot dishes. During December, schools offer a winter vacation. For students, it is the most lovely holiday. We can appreciate sleeping if we wake up late in the morning. As our ability to digest food and increase our food intake throughout the winter, we get healthier.

Mountainous areas experience harsher winters. There, people dress warmly by donning heavy, long jackets and boots. It is occasionally necessary to clear blocked roads to make walking easier after a hefty snowfall.

My Activity During Winter

Every winter, my friends and I organise a badminton competition in the nearby stadium. Winter badminton matches are a terrific way for me to stay active. This way, I am also able to take care of my health and stay fit during the winter, despite the rich and heavy winter foods my mother makes, and I eat.

Why Winter Is Difficult For Some

Winter is beautiful, but it can be uncomfortable when it's too cold. Everybody may be unable to afford amenities like heaters and blankets to keep themselves warm during the winter. The extreme cold weather also leads to the death of a lot of animals that are unable to bear it. Travel is also often delayed during winter since flights and trains cannot run on time owing to heavy fog on many days. Due to considerable fog and mist throughout the winter, trains fail to arrive on time.

How We Can Help

Every year, my mother donates my worn-out wool clothing to those in need in the community who are willing to take it. Additionally, our school raises money and provides blankets to the less fortunate.

Winter is a lovely season. It makes for the perfect time to enjoy activities like snow skating, snow fights, ice hockey, and so on in the hilly areas, and some delicious foods. However, we all should try and help the less fortunate with the basic amenities needed to survive harsh colds.

Feature image of Short Essay on My Favourite Season

My favourite season of the year is summer. It begins in April and ends in June. During the summer season, days are long and nights are short. The skies are clear and the sun is bright. We get month-long summer vacation and can stay at home with our parents and family without having to worry about school. We usually go to visit our grandparents in the village during the summer season.

In the village, I get the opportunity to play with the neighbourhood kids in mango and guava orchards that surround my grandparents’ place. They teach me new games and I always have a great time with them. Summer is also the season of mangoes. We get to eat so many varieties of juicy, delicious mangoes.

My favourite season of the year is winter. The Winter months are very cold as the temperature drops low. It also snows in the northern, high-altitude parts of the country. We wear a lot of warm clothes and eat hot foods to keep us warm. Our metabolism increases during the winter season and thus, we can eat a lot of delicious food. Hot drinks like tea, coffee and hot chocolate are also welcomed.

During the winter season, we usually go on a week-long vacation to hill stations to enjoy the snow. I make snowmen with my parents and siblings and go ice staking as well. There, at night, we create small bonfires to warm ourselves and chit-chat with each other. Winter is also the season of festivities as we celebrate Diwali, Christmas and New Year in winter.

My mother always bakes cakes for us on Christmas and they are warm and delicious. When I don’t have school, I like staying in bed covered in a thick quilt and reading my favourite storybooks. I also go out to play cricket and badminton with my friends every afternoon as it warms my body and keeps me active. Due to the cold weather, we don’t sweat much and can play for a long time. Because of all these reasons, I like the winter season.

Out of the four predominant seasons, my favourite is the monsoon or the rainy season. It starts to rain heavily all over the country by July. As it rains, the water washes away all the dust from plants and trees, making them look green and beautiful again. As the rain hits the dried-up ground, the smell of wet earth fills the atmosphere and makes our hearts dance.

New seedlings begin to sprout and grasses and plants begin to grow all around us. Our surroundings are covered in green and look very mesmerising. As India is an agricultural country, the rainy season is very important for us. Rains irrigate fields and help crops grow. Without rain, most of our major crops will fail, causing loss of business and even starvation. As my grandparents and uncles are farmers, I have experienced the joy that the rainy season brings to farmers very closely.

I also like the rainy season because when it rains heavily, I do not need to go to school. Sometimes, even my parents take leave and then our whole family gets to enjoy the day together. My mother makes delicious fritters with tea which we enjoy while playing board games like ludo and carrom. My father is very fond of flowering plants and we have a lot of plants in our garden. During the rainy season, our garden looks majestic with hundreds of blooming flowers in many different colours.

My friends often come over to my house and we enjoy playing in the garden when the rain stops. We make paper boats and put them in water puddles. Sometimes, we also compete to see whose boat would go farther. Sometimes our parents allow us to go outside when it is raining and then, we enjoy jumping in puddles, getting drenched and playing in rain. It is very fun to play in the rain. After that, my mother makes hot soup for us to warm us up.

When it rains at night and electricity is cut, we get to enjoy our food in candlelight. After dinner, we go straight to bed and tell each other ghost stories. I and my siblings always try to scare each other. When it rains for days, I like to sit by the window and read my favourite books while watching the rain. The rainy season is very special for me and when it ends in September, I wish for it to come quickly next year.

So hopefully, after going through this session, all your confusion regarding this topic has been cleared. Post your doubts if you have any, in the comment section below. I will try my level best to address your queries. Keep browsing our website for more such content.

250 Words Essay on My Favourite Season

Every season brings its own unique charm, but the one I hold dearest to my heart is autumn. Often overshadowed by the vibrant summer or the cozy winter, autumn, for me, is a sublime blend of the two, offering a warm, tranquil ambiance that resonates with my soul.

The Aesthetic Appeal

Autumn is an artist’s dream, a season that transforms the world into a living canvas. The leaves morph from monotonous green to a spectrum of reds, oranges, and yellows, painting a breathtaking panorama that no other season can replicate. The soft rustling of the leaves underfoot and the crisp air tinged with the scent of earth and rain, create a sensory symphony that is both soothing and invigorating.

Symbolism of Autumn

Autumn is not just a visual delight; it is a season rich in symbolism. It represents change and transformation, reminding us of the cyclical nature of life. As the leaves fall, they symbolize the need to shed the old to make way for the new, a lesson that resonates deeply in our personal and academic lives.

Autumn Activities

Autumn also brings with it a plethora of activities. From apple picking to pumpkin carving, from hiking through the autumn foliage to cozy evenings by the fire, the season is a treasure trove of experiences that are both simple and profound.

In conclusion, autumn is my favorite season, not just for its aesthetic appeal, but also for its symbolism and the unique experiences it offers. It is a season that inspires, rejuvenates, and evokes a sense of serenity and introspection, making it a truly special time of the year.

500 Words Essay on My Favourite Season

Introduction: the charm of seasons.

Seasons are a beautiful testament to the cyclical nature of life, each carrying its own distinct charm and character. Among them all, my favourite is the autumn season. Autumn, with its vibrant hues and mellow weather, is a season of change and introspection, making it an unparalleled source of inspiration.

Autumn: A Symphony of Colours

Autumn is often associated with a rich palette of colours. The leaves change from a monotonous green to a vibrant array of yellows, oranges, and reds. This transformation is not just a visual spectacle but a metaphor for life itself. It signifies the importance of change, of letting go, and of rejuvenation. The trees shed their leaves, preparing for a new cycle of life, much like how we must shed old habits and thoughts to make way for new perspectives.

The Weather: A Mellow Respite

The weather during autumn is another aspect that makes it my favourite season. The scorching heat of the summer gives way to a mellow coolness, while the biting cold of winter is still a distant thought. The days are warm, and the nights are cool, providing a comfortable balance. This weather is symbolic of a calm equilibrium, a lesson about the importance of balance in life.

Autumn: A Season of Harvest

Autumn is also the season of harvest, a time of abundance and celebration. It is a reminder that hard work and patience bear fruit. The harvest season is a testament to the fact that nature works in its own rhythm, and we must respect this rhythm in our lives as well.

Autumn Nights: A Celestial Spectacle

The clear autumn nights provide a celestial spectacle, with the stars shining brightly against the dark sky. This clarity and brightness serve as a metaphor for hope and aspiration. Even in the darkness, there is a light guiding us, much like the stars guide us through the dark autumn nights.

Conclusion: Autumn, A Season of Life’s Lessons

In conclusion, autumn, for me, is more than just a season. It is a teacher imparting life’s lessons through its changing colours, mellow weather, abundant harvest, and clear nights. It is a season of introspection, of understanding the importance of change, balance, patience, and hope. It is a season that reminds us of the cyclical nature of life, encouraging us to embrace change and look forward to rejuvenation. This profound connection with autumn makes it my favourite season.

Introduction

All seasons have unique features. We are blessed to enjoy four seasons in India. Among all seasons everybody loves to enjoy a particular season as their favourite season.

Spring Season is My Favourite Season

I love the spring season. It is experienced before the onset of the summer season. After the winters are over, the light warmth feeling gives us the essence of the spring season. This season is characterized by the chromatic beauty of nature. The morning in the spring season is very enchanting full of creeping sounds of different birds and winds laden with the scent of flowers and fruits. The small buds give rise to a new plant. Different plants and trees bloom with the flowers. The hibernating birds and animals start coming out of their deep sleep. The activities of searching for food and reproducing are regained. Some trees and flowering plants are filled with flowers.

I love spring season as the temperature in the spring season become very pleasant. The soft blowing winds are soothing. I could wear colourful clothes with prints of flowers. During this season nature around us seems colourful and lively. My birthday also falls in this season only. It becomes a boon for me.

Spring season brings the thought of doing something new. It is filled up with enthusiasm. The spring season favours the growth and rebirth of seeds and plants. We can also observe babies of animals born during this season e.g. young puppies, chicks and ducklings. They are little ones and are filled with cuteness.

I enjoy the spring season most of all seasons. I wish that season would be of longer duration.

Essay 2 (400 Words) – My Favourite Season: Summer Season

India is a country of diverse climatic conditions. People living here enjoy the characteristics of different seasons. All the seasons have certain specialties.

I eagerly wait for the arrival of the summer season as it is my favourite season of all other seasons. The summer season generally starts in April and ends in June. It is followed by the rainy season. Summer is the hottest season, but then also I greatly love this season. The main thing I love about summers is we get a vacation of a longer duration.

Reasons for Considering Summer as My Favourite Season

The Summer Vacation of Larger Duration – I love summer as we have a summer vacation of about two months. We are free from the daily routines of school during the summer vacations. We are free to eat, sleep, and play with our friends by forgetting the tension of daily homework and studies.

During many of the summer vacations, I got a chance to visit and explore different places in our country and especially hill stations. The summer season provides a chance to spend our time with our family members. Most of the time many of us visit our villages during this time and spend a great time with our grandparents and family. The village life is also awesome and I get a chance to visit my village during summers.

Playing Games During The Evening – Summer is the best time to practice for many sports and games. Outdoor activities are increased during summers. The small children are very excited to play in the evening and they spend most of their time playing with their friends. Playing games is also important for the overall development of children. Dancing and swimming activities are carried out by many people and students.

Enjoy Eating Mangoes – We enjoy eating many fruits during summers like litchi, watermelons, and muskmelons. Mangoes are available in this season which is the favourite fruit of the majority of people. I love eating mangoes. When we visit our village during summer vacation we get a chance to eat different types of mangoes in a larger quantity.

Enjoy Several Parties and Celebrations – People mainly schedule marriages and parties during summers. We enjoy many of the parties and celebrations and can refresh ourselves.

Longer Days and Shorter Nights – The days are usually longer during summer and nights are shorter. Longer days give us an opportunity to do the necessary works.

Summers although are hot but provides us with an opportunity to enjoy and relax. We can also enjoy several types of juice in summer.

Essay 3 (500 – 600 Words) – My Favourite Season: Winter Season

I like and enjoy all the seasons. Every season has some benefits and some drawbacks. Winter is my favourite season and I eagerly wait for the arrival of this season.

The winter season starts in October and ends in February. The coldest months of this season are December and January. The sun rays seem soothing during the winters. Generally, many of us spend some hours on roofs for receiving the warmth of the sun.

The Speciality of Winter Season

The winter season is characterized by the shortened length of the day and longer nights. Winters are cold and full of chills during morning and nights. There is little relaxation in the day time because of the sunlight. On most of the days, there is no sunlight. We could see vapours from our mouth when we talk. People lit bonfires, burn wood pieces and use a heater to reduce the cold and get warmth. I like sitting near the bonfire and cook potatoes in that. We spend most of our time in cosy blankets.

It’s very beautiful to see drops of dew falling or resting on the petals of flowers. The atmosphere is almost foggy and is cleared after the sunrise, which is usually delayed in winters. During winters we get rid of lizards which are one of my greatest fears.

There are varieties of food items which we can eat in winter. There is an availability of different vegetables and fruits. Hot coffee, tea, and hot foodstuffs are preferred by people in this season. Winter break is provided by schools during the month of December. It is the most beautiful holiday for students. We can wake up late in the morning and therefore enjoy sleeping. We become healthy during winters as food intake and digesting capacity improves.

Winters are more severe in the mountainous regions. People over there wear long and heavy jackets and boots to protect them from cold. The winters over there are accompanied by the snowfall. Some time due to heavy snowfall the roads are blocked and that has to be removed to make walking easier. People play by these snowballs and make a snowman.

Christmas Celebration

Christmas is a feast which is celebrated in the coldest month December. I love celebrating this festival. We celebrate it in our school as my school is mission school and the celebration of Christmas is awesome. This festival is celebrated for three days. Bonfire is lit and we dance around it. Many of us participate in different programmes related to the birth and happiness of Jesus Christ. The cold climate makes the celebration more wonderful. In the end, we get cakes and gifts by Santa clause. It is a belief that if we hang our shocks outside in our house on Christmas Eve, next morning we will see a gift inside the shocks.

My Activity during Winters

Every year during winters we arrange a tournament of badminton with my friends in our nearest stadium. Playing badminton during winters is a great exercise for me. It helps in making my body fit and healthy. It is like good refreshment in the morning during winters.

Disadvantages of this Season

Winters are wonderful but excessive cold weather becomes uneasy. There are many people who are not rich and therefore could not afford the facilities to protect them from excessive cold. Many animals also die due to excessively cold weather. My mother every year gives my old woollen clothes to the poor people of the society who are ready to accept it. Our school also collect funds and donate blankets to the needy ones. Trains also do not reach on time during winters due to excessive fog and mist.

Winter season is really amazing. It is the perfect time to enjoy snow skating, snow fight, ice hockey and many more things in the hilly areas. It is the best time to study and perform different activities without being disturbed by heat or perspiration.
