प्लास्टिक से ही हमारा दिन शुरू होता है और दिन खत्म भी प्लास्टिक पर ही होता है। प्लास्टिक के शुरुआती दौर में यह काफी ज्यादा सहायक अविष्कार साबित हुआ था लेकिन जैसे जैसे समय बीतता गया, प्लास्टिक के नुकसान सामने आने लगे। प्लास्टिक का सबसे बड़ा नुकसान तो यह है कि उसे गलाया नहीं जा सकता है।

प्लास्टिक के हमारे पर्यावरण पर पड़ने वाले कई नुकसान है। प्लास्टिक ने हमारे पर्यावरण को लगभग खोखला कर दिया है और यह काफी ज्यादा मात्रा में उत्पादित की जाने लगी है इस कारण यह काफी ज्यादा बुरा प्रभाव भी छोड़ रही है। प्लास्टिक द्वारा किए जाने वाले नुकसान निम्नलिखित हैं :-

मृदा प्रदूषण, प्लास्टिक द्वारा किए गए नुकसान में प्रमुख है। प्लास्टिक के उत्पादन के पश्चात सबसे बड़ी समस्या यह आती है कि प्लास्टिक का केवल एक बार ही प्रयोग किया जा सकता है।

उसके बाद उपयोग किया जा चुका प्लास्टिक एक कूड़े के रूप में परिवर्तित हो जाता है, जो कि काफी ज्यादा नुकसानदेह होता है। उस कूड़े को ठिकाने लगाना और भी बड़ी समस्या होती है।

प्लास्टिक उत्पादन के शुरुआती दौर में जब प्लास्टिक का उत्पादन इस स्तर तक नहीं किया जा रहा था, तब प्लास्टिक को जमीन में ही संग्रहित कर लिया जाता था, लेकिन जैसे जैसे दिन बीतते गए यह बढ़ता चला गया और धीरे धीरे प्लास्टिक ने थल में एक बड़ी जगह को घेर लिया। अब के समय में यह एक समस्या है क्यूंकि घेरी गई जगह के कारण बहुत सा प्रदूषण होता है।

2. प्लास्टिक के उपयोग से जल प्रदूषण को बढ़ावा

प्लास्टिक के कारण जल प्रदूषण भी काफी तेजी से फैल रहा है। गौरतलब है कि जल प्रदूषण होने के कारण जल में मौजूद जीव जंतुओं पर भी खासा प्रभाव देखने को मिल रहा है।

प्लास्टिक के उत्पाद काफी हल्के होते हैं जिस कारण कई बार वे हवा के संपर्क में आकर उड़कर वहां तक चले जाते हैं, वहीं कई बार ऐसा होता है कि प्लास्टिक के द्वारा उत्पन्न हुए कूड़े के निबटारे के लिए उसे जल में प्रवाहित कर दिया जाता है।

दोनों ही तरीकों से जल में पहुंचे प्लास्टिक का जल पर अत्यधिक प्रभाव पड़ता है और वह जल को दूषित कर देता है। जल में मौजूद जीव जंतु जब उस प्लास्टिक को खाते हैं तो वे भी मृत हो जाते हैं। गौरतलब है कि पिछले एक दशक में समुन्द्र में पाए जाने वाली अनेकों व्हेल मछलियों के पेट में से कई किलोग्राम प्लास्टिक निकाला गया है। यह प्लास्टिक उन्हे मरने पर मजबूर कर देता है।

3. पेड़-पौधों के विकास पर बुरा प्रभाव

प्लास्टिक से उत्पन्न कचरे के निवारण के लिए प्लास्टिक को अक्सर जमीन में संग्रहित कर दिया जाता है, जिस कारण थल प्रदूषण तो होता ही है, साथ ही साथ पौधों के विकास पर भी प्रभाव पड़ता है।

ऐसा इसलिए क्यूंकि जमीन में संग्रहित प्लास्टिक के कारण ह्यूमस जो कि पृथ्वी की ऊपरी परत है, उसकी गुणवत्ता काफी हद तक खत्म हो जाती है जो कि पौधों के विकास के लिए काफी ज्यादा जरूरी है। पौधों की जड़ें ह्यूमस द्वारा ही पोषण प्राप्त करती हैं। जब ह्यूमस की गुणवत्ता कम हो जाती है तो पौधों पर भी खासा प्रभाव पड़ता है, और वे कुपोषित रह जाते हैं।

4. जानवरों में बीमारी

प्लास्टिक के कारण जानवरों में बीमारी फैलना, प्लास्टिक के प्रमुख नुकसान में से एक है। जहां यह पाया गया है कि जल प्रदूषण के कारण जलीय जीव प्लास्टिक का शिकार होकर मारे जा रहे हैं, वहीं यह भी देखने को मिला है कि जमीन पर मौजूद जानवरों की मौत भी प्लास्टिक के कारण हो रही है।

गौरतलब है आजकल घरों में मौजूद खाद्य कचरे का बाहर फेंकने के लिए प्लास्टिक के बैग का उपयोग किया जाता है, और बाहर पड़े खाद्य कचरे को खाते हुए जानवर प्लास्टिक के बैग को भी खा जाते हैं। प्लास्टिक के बैग खाने के कारण जानवरों की मौत हो जाती है। यह समस्या शहरों में प्रमुख है।

5. ग्रीन हाउस प्रभाव

प्लास्टिक के कारण ग्रीन हाउस प्रभाव भी बढ़ा है। गौरतलब है कि प्लास्टिक का निर्माण पॉलीप्रोपलीन द्वारा किया जाता है जो कि प्रमुख तौर पर पेट्रोलियम और प्राकृतिक गैसों द्वारा बनाया गया है।

प्लास्टिक के अत्यधिक उत्पादन के कारण ये गैसें दिन पर दिन कम होती जा रही हैं और ये गैसें अनविकरणीय हैं इस कारण इनके कम होने के बाद ग्रीन हाउस गैसों की मात्रा अधिक हो रही है। यह दर्शाता है कि अगर प्लास्टिक को न नहीं कहा गया तो प्लास्टिक पर्यावरण को बहुत ज्यादा क्षत विक्षत कर देगी।

प्लास्टिक काफी ज्यादा नुकसानदेह है और यह हमारे पर्यावरण को काफी ज्यादा क्षति पहुंचा रही है। लेकिन यदि इसी समय प्लास्टिक को न नहीं कहा गया, तो यह आने वाले समय में समय में शायद पर्यावरण के आस्तित्व को ही खत्म कर दे। 

प्लास्टिक को रोका जाना आज के समय की सबसे बड़ी मांग है। प्लास्टिक को रोकने के लिए निम्न कदम उठाए जा सकते हैं :- 

1. सरकार को ध्यान देना चाहिए – प्लास्टिक का उपयोग बंद करवाने के लिए कड़े नियम होने चाहिए

प्लास्टिक बैग के उपयोग पर सबसे पहले सरकार को प्रतिबंध लगाना चाहिए। गौरतलब है कि प्लास्टिक बैग का उत्पादन विभिन्न कंपनियों में किया जाता है। वे सभी कंपनिया सरकार की इजाजत के बाद ही संवैधानिक तौर पर प्लास्टिक का उत्पादन करती हैं।

यदि ऐसी कंपनियों पर प्रतिबंध लगा दिया गया तो ये कम्पनियां प्लास्टिक का निर्माण बंद कर देंगी जिसके बाद प्लास्टिक की समस्या लगभग खत्म हो सकती है। प्लास्टिक पर प्रतिबंध लगाने के लिए सरकार का इन कंपनियों को बंद करने के साथ साथ जरूरी कानून बना भी अनिवार्य है ताकि काला बाजारी के चलते भी प्लास्टिक का उपयोग न किया जा सके।

इस तरह का कानून किसी भी तरह की सजा या जुर्माने के रूप में बनाया जा सकता है, जो कि सीधे तौर पर लोगों को प्लास्टिक के प्रयोग पर और कंपनियों को प्लास्टिक के निर्माण पर रोक देगा।

2. लोगों को जागरूक होना चाहिए – ताकि वे प्लास्टिक का उपयोग बंद करें

किसी भी वस्तु का चलन तभी होता है जब उसके उपयोगकर्ता मौजूद हों। यदि प्लास्टिक के उपयोगकर्ताओं या आम जनता को प्लास्टिक के नुकसान के प्रति जागरूक किया जाए तो शायद प्लास्टिक के उपयोग पर एक तरह से रोक लगाई जा सकती है।

इसके लिए लोगों के बीच तरह तरह के अभियान चलाए जा सकते हैं एवं उन्हे साफ सीधे तौर पर दर्शाया जा सकता है कि वे प्लास्टिक का उपयोग करके मानवीय आस्तित्व के ताबूत में कील ठोक रहे हैं।

3. प्लास्टिक को महंगा कर दिया जाए या पूर्ण रूप से बंद

प्लास्टिक को न कहने का सबसे आसान तरीका है कि उसके उत्पादन पर रोक लिया जाए और उसके बाद तरीका यह है कि लोगों को जागरूक करके उपयोग करने से रोक दिया जाए, लेकिन क्या हो यदि निर्माण एवं उपयोग दोनों पर ही न रोक लगाई जा सके।

ऐसे में यदि प्लास्टिक को महँगा कर दिया जाए तो यह कई लोगों को इसके प्रयोग से सीधे तौर पर रोकेगा। यदि प्लास्टिक को इतना महंगा कर दिया जाए कि यह आम लोगों के हाथों से निकल जाए तो ऐसे में प्लास्टिक का प्रयोग काफी ज्यादा कम हो जाएगा जो कि एक प्रकार से प्लास्टिक के प्रतिबंध की तरह ही कार्य करेगा।

अब भारत में कई जगहों पर प्लास्टिक को बैंड कर दिया गया है। परन्तु हर प्लास्टिक की वास्तु को बंद करना उतना आसान नहीं। इसलिए हमें ही जागरूक हो कर जितना हो सके उतना कम प्लास्टिक का उपयोग करना चाहिए।

4. प्लास्टिक बैग के विकल्प लाए जाएं

यदि प्लास्टिक के बैग का विकल्प खोज लिया जाए तो यह प्लास्टिक के प्रयोग से लोगों को रोकेगा और इससे प्लास्टिक से खतरा हट जाएगा। प्लास्टिक का विकल्प खोजते समय यह ध्यान देना काफी ज्यादा जरूरी है कि आने वाला विकल्प प्लास्टिक से सस्ता हो और प्लास्टिक से ज्यादा आसानी से उपलब्ध हो।

निष्कर्ष Conclusion

प्लास्टिक हमारे पर्यावरण को लगातार नुकसान पहुंचा रहा है। न तो यह पदार्थ गलता है और न ही इसके द्वारा उत्पन्न हुए कचरे का पुनरुपयोग किया जा सकता है। ऐसे में आने वाली त्रासदी का जिम्मेदार प्लास्टिक और उसे प्रयोग करने वाले लोग होंगे।

लेकिन प्लास्टिक का प्रयोग करना अब लोगों की मजबूरी बन चुकी है क्यूंकि प्लास्टिक ने उनके जीवन में इस तरह से पैठ बनाई है कि उसके बिना जीवन सुचारू ढंग से नहीं चल सकता। 

अगर प्लास्टिक के स्थान पर अन्य किसी पदार्थो का इस्तेमाल किया जाए तो प्लास्टिक पर प्रतिबंध लगाया जा सकता है। लेकिन इसे जल्दी से जल्दी करना पड़ेगा क्यूंकि दिन ब दिन प्लास्टिक हमारे पर्यावरण को खोखला कर रही है और एक दिन यह मानव आस्तित्व पर बहुत बड़ा खतरा बन जाएगी।

इसी क्रम में भारत के प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेन्द्र मोदी जी ने 2 अक्टूबर, 2019 ( गाँधी जयन्ती ) को single use plastic को पूरी तरह से प्रतिबन्धित करने का निर्णय लिया, इसे देशभर में राष्ट्रव्यापी जागरूकता अभियान के अन्तर्गत तीन चरणों में चलाया जा रहा है। इसमें विभिन्न सरकारी एजेन्सियों द्वारा सिंगल यूज प्लास्टिक के कचरे को जगह-जगह एकत्र किया जाएगा और इसे रिसाइक्लिंग के लिए भेजा जाएगा। सरकार का लक्ष्य वर्ष 2022 तक प्लास्टिक के प्रयोग को पूरी तरह से प्रतिबन्धित करने का है।

सिंगल यूज प्लास्टिक एक ऐसा प्लास्टिक है जिसका उपयोग हम केवल एक बार करते हैं। एक बार इस्तेमाल कर फेंक दी जाने वाली प्लास्टिक ही सिंगल यूज प्लास्टिक कहलाता है। इसे डिस्पोजेबल प्लास्टिक भी कहते हैं। प्लास्टिक की थैलियाँ, प्याले, प्लेट, छोटी बोतले, स्ट्रा और कुछ पाउच आदि single use plastic  के उदाहरण हैं। एक आँकड़े के अनुसार प्रत्येक वर्ष विश्व में करीब 300 मिलियन टन प्लास्टिक का उत्पादन होता है। प्लास्टिक कचरे के उत्पादन की दृष्टि से विश्व में भारत का पाँचवों स्थान है। सिंगल यूज प्लास्टिक उत्पाद को पुन: उपयोग में नहीं लाया जाता। 

एकल उपयोग वाले प्लास्टिक संक्रमणकारी रोगों के प्रसार को भी रोकते हैं; जैसे- सिरिंज, एप्लिकेटर, ड्रग टेस्ट, बँडेज आदि को अकसर डिस्पोजेबल बनाया जाता है, किन्तु इससे अधिक ये दुष्प्रभावी साबित होते है। अतः खाथ अपशिष्टों के खिलाफ लड़ाई में एकल उपयोग बाले प्लास्टिक उत्पादों को सूचीबद्ध किया गया है, जो भोजन और पानी को काफी समय तक ताजा रखते हैं और सन्दूषण की क्षमता को कम करते हैं।

यद्यपि कुछ एकल उपयोग उत्पादों का निपटान चुनौतीपूर्ण होता है, जैसे कि पेट्रोलियम आधारित प्लास्टिक बायोडिग्रेडेबल नहीं होते हैं और सामान्यत: ये लैण्डफिल में चले जाते हैं, जहाँ ये भूमि एवं जल में प्रवेश करते हैं। विघटन की प्रक्रिया में यह जहरीले रसायनों को निष्कासित करते हैं, जो हमारे भोजन और पानी की आपूर्ति में अपना स्थान बना लेते हैं, जोकि प्राणघातक होता है।

सिंगल यूज प्लास्टिक का नकारात्मक प्रभाव|single use plastic disadvantage

single use plastic को  लेकर केन्द्रीय प्रदूषण नियन्त्रण बोर्ड के अनुसार, दिल्ली में प्रतिदिन 690 टन चेन्नई में 429 टन, कोलकाता में 426 टन और मुम्बई में 408 टन प्लास्टिक कचरा फेंका जाता है, जिससे भूमि एवं समुद्र दोनों दुष्प्रभावी होते हैं तथा इसका प्रभाव मानव स्वास्थ्य पर पड़ता है। इसके अन्य प्रभाव निम्नलिखित हैं

•  प्लास्टिक की थैलियों का सबसे बड़ा दुष्प्रभाव यह है कि यह मॉन-बायोडिग्रेडेबल होती हैं, जिसके कारण इन्हें खाने से प्रतिवर्ष तकरीबन एक लाख से ज्यादा पशु-पक्षी मर जाते हैं। समुद्र की स्थिति और भी भयावह है, क्योंकि समुद्र में प्लास्टिक कचरे के रूप में असंख्य टुकड़े तैरते रहते हैं। जो अधिक समय बीत जाने के बाद माइक्रोप्लास्टिक में तब्दील हो जाते हैं, जो जलीय जीवों पर प्रभाव डालते हैं।
• यहीं नहीं प्लास्टिक के बर्तन में खाने और बोतलों में पानी पीने से कैंसर जैसी खतरनाक बीमारी हो रही है।
• सिंगल यूज प्लास्टिक  मिट्टी की उर्वरा शक्ति को भी समाप्त करता है, क्योंकि अग्नि में जलने से जहाँ जहरीली गैस निकलती है, वहीं यह मिट्टी में पहुँचकर भूमि की उर्वरा शक्ति को समाप्त करता है। 
• वैज्ञानिकों के अनुसार, प्लास्टिक के नष्ट होने में 500 से 1000 वर्ष लग जाते हैं। विश्व में प्रत्येक वर्ष 80-120 अरब का प्लास्टिक बर्बाद हो जाता है, जिसकी वजह से उद्योगों पर रिसाइकिल कर पुनः प्लास्टिक तैयार करने का दबाव ज्यादा होता है। फलतः यह मानव तथा पशुओं को प्रभावित करता है  single use plastic  के दुष्प्रभावों से निपटने हेतु राष्ट्रीय तथा अन्तर्राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर कई महत्त्वपूर्ण प्रयास किए गए है
• single use plastic समुद्र में 1950 से लेकर 2016 तक लगभग 66 वर्षों में जितना प्लास्टिक जमा हुआ है उतना ही प्लास्टिक जमा होने में सिर्फ 10 साल लगेगा और यही समस्या है पुरे विश्व के लिए क्योंकि प्लास्टिक महासागरों हजारों सालो तक खराब नहीं हो सकते जिसके कारण इसमें से  धीरे धीरे जहरीले रासायनिक पदार्थ निकलते जो पानी में मिल जाता जिसके कारण मछलियों, कछुओं और अन्य समुद्री जीवो के स्वास्थ्य पर गंभीर संकट पैदा हो गया है

राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर प्रयास|single use plastic

प्लास्टिक कचरे की समस्या से निपटने के लिए सरकार द्वारा  single use plastic  अपशिष्ट प्रबन्धन नियम 2016 लाया गया है। इस नियम में यह प्रावधान है कि ऐसी कम्पनियाँ, जो अपने पैकेजिंग में प्लास्टिक का उपयोग करती हैं, उन्हें ही इसे नष्ट करने की जिम्मेदारी भी लेनी होगी। इसके लिए कम्पनियों को एक्सटेण्डेड प्रोडक्ट रिस्पांसिबिलिटी प्लान अर्थात् EPR के अन्तर्गत रजिस्ट्रेशन कराना अनिवार्य होगा। 

अगर भारत में कोई बड़ी या छोटी कम्पनी EPR के अन्तर्गत रजिस्ट्रेशन नहीं कराती है, तो उस पर पर्यावरण सुरक्षा अधिनियम, 1986 और NGT Act. 2010 के तहत् कार्यवाही की जा सकती है। EPR प्रावधानों के अन्तर्गत कम्पनियों को एक बेस्ट कलेक्शन सिस्टम (WCS) तैयार करने का प्रावधान है, ताकि प्लास्टिक का प्रयोग होने के बाद उसका सही प्रबन्धन किया जा सके। प्लास्टिक अपशिष्ट प्रबन्धन (PWM) नियम, 2016 की अधिसूचना जारी करने और दो वर्ष बाद किए गए संशोधन के बावजूद अधिकांश शहर और कस्बे इसके प्रावधानों को लागू करने के लिए तैयार नहीं हैं।

वर्ष 2018 में प्लास्टिक कचरा प्रबन्धन नियम में संशोधन किया गया, जिसके तहत उत्पादकों को राज्यों के शहरी विकास विभागों के साथ साझेदारी में कचरे की रिकवरी के लिए छ: माह की समय सीमा निर्धारित की गई, किन्तु इस योजना में भी काफी कम प्रगति हुई। उचित औद्योगिक प्रक्रिया के उद्देश्य से पुनर्चक्रण को सुविधाजनक बनाने के लिए प्लास्टिक को संख्यात्मक रूप में (जैसे- PET के लिए-1, निम्न घनत्व वाले पॉलिएथीलीन के लिए 4, पॉलीप्रोपीलीन के लिए 5 आदि) भी चिन्हित नहीं किया गया।

गौरतलब है कि पुनर्चक्रण, गैर-पुनर्चक्रण की मात्रा को कम करता है, इसलिए सीमेण्ट भट्ठों में सह-प्रसंस्करण,प्लाज्मा, पाइरोलाइसिस या भूमि भराव जैसे तरीके अपनाकर किया जाना चाहिए। वर्ष 2019 में CPCB (केन्द्रीय प्रदूषण नियन्त्रण बोर्ड) देश के 52 कम्पनियों को नोटिस जारी कर विस्तारित उत्पादक उत्तरदायित्व सम्बन्धी अपने दायित्वों को पूरा करने को कहा है।  essay on   single use plastic in hindi

सिंगल यूज प्लास्टिक की समस्या को देखते हुए अन्तर्राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर भी कई कदम उठाए जा रहे हैं। इसी क्रम में यूरोपीय संघ ने वर्ष 2021 तक ‘सिंगल यूज प्लास्टिक पर पूरी तरह से प्रतिबन्ध लगाने की योजना बनाई है।  कचरे के निस्तारण से जुड़े कई अन्तर्राष्ट्रीय समझौतों, जैसे बेसल कन्वेन्शन आदि को लागू किया गया है।

हाल ही में यूरोपीय संसद ने समुद्र तटों को प्रदूषित करने वाले महासागरों और समुद्रों में उपस्थित एकल उपयोग बाले प्लास्टिक कचरों, जैसे- कटलरी, स्ट्रॉ, कपास की कलियाँ आदि पर प्रतिबन्ध लगाने के लिए मतदान किया है। इसी विषय पर चर्चा करने के लिए सरकार ने G-20 समिट के पर्यावरण और ऊर्जा मन्त्रियों को केरुजावा में एक सम्मेलन में आमन्त्रित किया गया इस सम्मेलन में समुद्री प्लास्टिक कचरे को निपटाने हेतु सभी में आपसी सहमति बनी हैं।

मई, 2018 में यूरोपीय संघ द्वारा समुद्री जीवन की रक्षा में मदद करने के लिए एकल उपयोग प्लास्टिक पर प्रतिबन्ध लगाने का प्रस्ताव लाया गया था। यूरोपीय संघ का मानना है कि प्लास्टिक कचरा निर्विवाद रूप से एक बड़ा मुद्दा है और इस समस्या से निपटने के लिए यूरोपीय लोगों को मिलकर कार्य करने की आवश्यकता है।

इस मुहिम में एक कदम चीन ने भी उठाया है चीन के वाणिज्यिक केन्द्र शंघाई में खानपान सेवाओं में एक  होने उपयोग होने वाले प्लास्टिक के उपयोग को धीरे-धीरे प्रतिबन्धित कर रहा है, जबकि हैनान ने वर्ष 2025 तक  single use plastic  को पूर्णतया समाप्त करने का लक्ष्य निर्धारित किया है। विश्व में कई ऐसे देश या राज्य हैं, जहाँ वन टाइम यूज प्लास्टिक को लेकर प्रतिबन्धात्मक कार्यवाही की जा रही है।

भारत में E-कॉमर्स की बढ़ती खरीदारी के साथ प्लास्टिक का उपयोग काफी बढ़ गया है। इन कम्पनियों को प्लास्टिक पैकेजिंग पर वापस कटौती करने की आवश्यकता है, जो कि भारत की वार्षिक प्लास्टिक खपत का 40% तक पहुँच गई है। इस सम्बन्ध में अमेजन इंक का जून, 2020 तक अपनी पैकेजिंग में सभी एकल उपयोग बाले प्लास्टिक को बदलने के लिए पेपर कुशन के साथ एक स्वागत योग्य कदम है।

यहाँ तक कि पका हुआ गर्म खाना भी प्लास्टिक में ही पैक करके दिया जाता है. इस प्रकार के प्लास्टिक का प्रयोग मात्र एक बार करके फेंक दिया जाता है, जो पर्यावरण को नुकसान पहुंचाता है

प्लास्टिक के प्रयोग की शुरुआत

इस तरह के उत्पादों का मुख्य रूप से आधार पेट्रोलियम होता है. यह बहुत कम लागत में बनते हैं, इसलिए आज यह सबसे ज्यादा उपयोग किया जाने वाला उत्पाद बन गया है. हालांकि इसे खरीदने एवं यूज करने में ज्यादा खर्च नहीं होता हैं

आज, हम एक बेहतर जीवन जी रहे हैं। हमारे लिए सब कुछ आसानी से उपलब्ध है। एक नाम जिसने इस उपलब्धता को संभव बनाया है उसे किसी परिचय की आवश्यकता नहीं है। प्लास्टिक ने हमारे जीवन को बहुत आसान बना दिया है। प्लास्टिक हमारे दैनिक जीवन का एक अभिन्न हिस्सा है जो किराने की थैलियों, शैम्पू की बोतलों, मॉइस्चराइज़र ट्यूबों, चिप्स और बिस्किट पैकेजिंग, दवाई की बोतलों, चाबी के छल्ले, जूते और चप्पलों और यहां तक ​​कि कपड़ों में भी प्रयोग होता है। लेकिन, यह विशेष रूप से पैकेजिंग उद्योग के लिए एक वरदान है।

प्लास्टिक की खूबियाँ

प्लास्टिक की किसी भी आकार में ढलने की अद्भुत क्षमता के कारण हर उद्योग में इस की मांग की जाती है।   प्लास्टिक के दानों  को एक निश्चित तापमान तक गर्म करने के बाद यह आवश्यक वस्तु का आकार ले सकता है। प्लास्टिक के इतना अधिक लोकप्रिय होने का कारण इसकी खूबियाँ हैं। पहली बात, इस पर जंग, नमी और कीटों का कोई प्रभाव नहीं होता। दूसरी बात, यह अधिक से अधिक भार उठाने में सक्षम है। चम्मच से लेकर पनडुब्बियों तक के बनने में किसी न किसी रूप में प्लास्टिक का उपयोग किया जाता है।

प्लास्टिक के फायदे (Advantages of plastic in Hindi)

• नाज़ुक वस्तुओं को नमी, सूक्ष्मजीवों, जानवरों और धूप से होने वाले नुकसान से बचाता है।
• लंबी अवधि के लिए उत्पादों को संरक्षित करता है।
• दूध और पेय पदार्थों जैसे तरल उत्पादों को बह कर हो सकने वाले नुक्सान से बचाता है।
• गैर स्थानीय उत्पादों को हर जगह आसानी से उपलब्ध कराया जाता है।
• यह वज़न में हल्का होने के बावजूद भी मजबूती में लकड़ी और लोहे से कम नहीं है।
• हल्का होने की वजह से परिवहन में मदद मिलती है।
• इसने लकड़ी और चमड़े की खपत को कम कर दिया है।

प्लास्टिक प्रदूषण क्या है? (What is plastic pollution in Hindi?)

जैसा कि कहा जाता है कि “हर सिक्के के दो पहलू होते हैं”। एक ओर तो इसके इतने लाभ हैं, दूसरी तरफ प्लास्टिक मनुष्य के लिए एक बड़ी समस्या है। प्लास्टिक ने कुछ समय के लिए तो मानव के कामों को आरामदायक  बना दिया है। लेकिन, वास्तविक समस्या तब शुरू होती है जब इसका उपयोग समय समाप्त हो जाता है, अर्थात, प्लास्टिक से बने सामानों के अपशिष्ट पदार्थों से छुटकारा पाने की समस्या। इस कचरे के सड़ने के कारण जल, धरती, वायु, इंसान और जानवरों पर विपरीत प्रभाव पड़ता है। जिसे प्लास्टिक प्रदूषण कहा जाता है।

प्लास्टिक सड़ता नहीं है

इसका क्या मतलब है ? इसका मतलब यह है कि जब हम फलों और सब्जियों के कचरे को फेंकते हैं तो सूक्ष्मजीवों द्वारा उन्हें खाया जाता है और  छोटे कणों में तोड़ दिया जाता है और अवशेष मिट्टी में मिल जाते हैं। लेकिन सूक्ष्मजीव प्लास्टिक को  कुतर नहीं सकते। इसलिए प्लास्टिक का कचरा सैकड़ों सालों तक पर्यावरण में पड़ा रहता है।

प्लास्टिक बैग के नुकसान (Disadvantages of plastic bag)

• पहला ,पॉलीथिन की थैलियां उड़कर जगह-जगह सड़कों पर और गलियों में फैल कर नगर की सुन्दरता को ख़राब करती हैं ।
• दूसरा, यह नालियों में अटककर उनका बहाव रोक देती हैं और बाढ़ जैसे हालात पैदा हो सकते हैं।
• तीसरा, पानी में मिलकर ये प्लास्टिक की थैलियाँ भूमिगत जल को भी ज़हरीला बना देती हैं
• इसके अलावा कभी- कभी जानवर प्लास्टिक की थैलियों समेत खाना निगल जाते हैं, जो उनके  जीवन के लिए बहुत घातक  हो सकता है।
• अंत में, जहरीले रसायन प्लास्टिक के द्वारा हमारे भोजन में शामिल होकर हमारे रक्त और ऊतकों तक पहुँच जाते हैं और विभिन्न बीमारियों का कारण बनते हैं।

डिस्पोजेबल प्लास्टिक को कैसे बंद करें

केवल एक बार उपयोग करके फेंकने लायक कचरे की विशाल मात्रा दुनिया के लिए सबसे बड़ी समस्या है। डिस्पोजेबल पानी की बोतलें समुद्री प्रदूषण का मुख्य कारण हैं। इसने समुद्री जानवरों के अस्तित्व पर एक प्रश्न चिन्ह लगा दिया है। इन समस्याओं के कारण सभी देशों की सरकारें प्लास्टिक पर प्रतिबंध लगाने के विचार की वकालत कर रही हैं। क्या प्लास्टिक मुक्त दुनिया का यह सपना व्यावहारिक रूप से संभव है? आदर्श अव्यावहारिक नहीं होने चाहियें। क्या हम पूरी तरह से प्लास्टिक रहित जीवन की कल्पना कर सकते हैं?

प्लास्टिक के बिना जीवन (Life without plastic in Hindi)

पैकेजिंग खराब होने वाले खाद्य पदार्थों के जीवन  को बढ़ा कर बहुत सारे भोजन को बेकार जाने से बचाती है। इसके बंद हो जाने से इंसान की दिनचर्या की शरुआत करने वाले बहुत से उत्पाद उसे उपलब्ध नहीं हो पायेंगे । डिजिटल दुनिया का अंत हो जाएगा क्योंकि हमारे स्मार्ट फोन, टैब और लैपटॉप इत्यादि में प्लास्टिक के  घटकों का बड़ी मात्रा में उपयोग होता है। हम इस हद तक प्लास्टिक के आदी हो चुके हैं कि हम अपने जीवन से प्लास्टिक को पूर्णतया नहीं हटा सकते । इसलिए हमे प्लास्टिक के कूड़े के  निपटारे के लिए कुछ सार्थक प्रयास करने की आवश्यकता है।

5 R सिद्धांत का पालन करें (Principles of Waste-Management in Hindi)

• कम करना                                           ( Reduce)
• मना करना                                          ( Refuse)
• पुनः प्रयोग करना                                  ( Reuse)
• पुनरुद्देषित                                       ( Repurpose)
• प्रयोग की गयी वस्तु का पुनः उपयोगी बनाना ( Recycle)

प्लास्टिक प्रदूषण को रोकने के उपाय (How to reduce Plastic Pollution in Hindi)

कम करना – reduce.

बिना ज़रुरत के थैली का इस्तेमाल बंद करें। खाना बर्बाद मत करो । स्वाभाविक रूप से सड़नशील होने के कारण जैव प्लास्टिक का प्रयोग उपयुक्त है।

मना करना – Refuse

पॉलिथीन की थैलियों और डिस्पोजेबल प्लास्टिक उत्पादों को ना कहने की आदत डालें दुकानदारों को ऐसे उत्पादों के साथ पॉलिथीन की थैली नहीं देनी चाहिए जो पहले से ही प्लास्टिक की पैकेजिंग में पैक हैं। जैसे ब्रेड और दूध

पुन: उपयोग – Reuse

फेंकने से पहले कई बार किराने की थैलियों का उपयोग करें। जल शीतक (water cooler) से पानी भरने के लिए बार-बार एक ही प्लास्टिक की बोतल का इस्तेमाल करें।

पुनरुद्देषित – Repurpose

इसका मतलब है कि प्लास्टिक के कचरे को उनके मुख्य उपयोग से अलग किसी और तरह से इस्तेमाल करना ; उदाहरण के लिए समुद्री कूड़े से सुंदर चित्र और आकृति बनाना।

पुनर्चक्रण – Recycle

इस भाग को पिछले 4 के लागू होने के बाद ही लागू किया जाना चाहिए क्योंकि दोबारा इस्तेमाल में लाये जाने योग्य अपशिष्ट पदार्थों को उपयोगी उत्पादों में परिवर्तित करने के लिए धन और ऊर्जा की आवश्यकता होती है। जिसे बचाना हमारा कर्त्तव्य है। व्यक्तिगत स्तर पर एक छोटा सा कदम भी एक बड़ा अंतर ला सकता है। इसलिए, पर्यावरण को बचाने के लिए सभी को कुछ योगदान जोड़ने का प्रयास करना चाहिए, जैसा कि निम्नलिखित लोगों ने किया है ।

प्लास्टिक प्रदूषण से निपटने के लिये प्रयास – कचरा निपटाने के लिए पहल करने वाले लोग और संस्थाएं:

पेप्सिको इंडिया ने Exnora (एक पर्यावरण एनजीओ) की साझेदारी में ३५००० टन कचरे को जैविक खाद में बदला है, जो अन्यथा लैंडफिल में स्थानांतरित हो गया होता।

हिमालय बचाओ अभियान: भारतीय पर्यावरण सोसायटी द्वारा हिमालय पारिस्थितिकी तंत्र की सुरक्षा और रखरखाव के लिए एक पहल है।

एडिडास (Adidas) जो जूते निर्माण में एक प्रमुख नाम है, पार्ले की मदद से महासागरों से अपशिष्टों का संग्रह और पुनर्चक्रण करके जूते और कपड़े बना रहा हैं। इस तरह एडिडास स्थायी भविष्य बनाने की कोशिश कर रहा है।

2003 से, जापान का एक छोटा शहर, कामिकत्सु (Kamikatsu) शून्य कचरा (zero waste) समुदाय बनने के लिए प्रयास कर रहा है। वे अपने फेंके हुए कचरे को पुनर्चक्रित कर रहे हैं और लक्ष्य के काफी करीब हैं। 2015 तक, उनका केवल 20% कचरा उनके स्थानीय लैंडफिल में जा रहा था।

हम अलग-अलग भूमि पर रहते हैं, लेकिन हम एक ही ग्रह को साझा करते हैं। अतः, इस समस्या से लड़ने के लिए सभी को मिलकर काम करना होगा। हमारा कर्तव्य है कि इसे प्लास्टिक प्रदूषण से मुक्त कराएँ।

प्लास्टिक प्रदूषण पर निबंध (Plastic Pollution Essay in Hindi)

प्लास्टिक प्रदूषण हमारे पर्यावरण को काफी तेजी से नुकसान पहुंचा रहा है। प्लास्टिक पदार्थो से उत्पन्न कचरे का निस्तारण काफी कठिन होता है और पृथ्वी पर प्रदूषण में भी इसका काफी अहम योगदान है, जिससे यह एक वैश्विक चिंता का विषय बन गया है। प्लास्टिक बैगों, बर्तनो और फर्नीचर के बढ़ते इस्तेमाल के वजह से प्लास्टिक के कचरे में काफी वृद्धि हुई है, जिससे प्लास्टिक प्रदूषण जैसी भीषण समस्या उत्पन्न हो गयी है। यह वह समय है जब हमे इस समस्या पर गंभीरतापूर्वक विचार करते हुए, इसके समाधान के लिये प्रयास शुरु करने होंगे।

प्लास्टिक प्रदूषण पर छोटे तथा बड़े निबंध (Short and Long Essay on Plastic Pollution in Hindi, Plastic Pradushan par Nibandh Hindi mein)

निबंध – 1 (300 शब्द).

प्लास्टिक प्रदूषण प्लास्टिक के कचरे से उत्पन्न होता है, आज के समय में यह विकराल रुप धारण कर चुका है और दिन-प्रतिदिन यह बढ़ता ही जा रहा है। यह हमारे इस खुबसूरत ग्रह पे भी कई प्रकार के नकारात्मक प्रभाव डालता है, जिससे यह जनजीवन के लिये एक गंभीर संकट बन गया है, यही कारण है कि आज प्लास्टिक प्रदूषण एक वैश्विक चिंता का विषय बना हुआ है।

प्लास्टिक प्रदूषण को कैसे रोके

इन दो उपायो का अपने दैनिक जीवन में अपनाकर हम प्लास्टिक प्रदूषण को कम करने में महात्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभा सकते है।

• उपयोग ना करके/ अन्य विकल्पो को अपनाकर

प्लास्टिक प्रदूषण को रोकने के लिये सबसे महात्वपूर्ण कदम यह है कि हमें प्लास्टिक के उपयोग से बचना चाहिये।

क्योंकि अब हम इनके उपयोग के आदि हो चुके है तथा यह काफी सस्ते भी है, इसलिये हम इनके उपयोग को पूरी तरह से बंद नही कर सकते है। हालांकि हम उन प्लास्टिक उत्पादो के उपयोग को आसानी से बंद कर सकते है, जिनके इको-फ्रैंडली विकल्प उपलब्ध है। जैसे कि उदहारण के लिये , बाजार से सामान खरीदते समय हम प्लास्टिक बैग के जगह हम जूट, कपड़े या पेपर से बने बैगों का इस्तेमाल कर सकते है। ठीक इसी तरह पार्टियो और उत्सवो के दौरान हम प्लास्टिक के बर्तन और अन्य सामानो का उपयोग के जगह हम स्टील, कागज, थर्माकोल या अन्य उत्पादो से वस्तुओ का उपयोग कर सकते है, जिनका आसानी से पुनरुपयोग और निस्तारण किया जा सके।

यदि आप प्लास्टिक बैगों और प्लास्टिक से बने अन्य वस्तुओ का उपयोग नही बंद कर सकते तो कम से कम उन्हे फेंकने से पहले जितनी बार भी हो सके उनका पुनरुपयोग करे। प्लास्टिक बैगों और सामानो का उपयोग करके उन्हे फेंक देना लगभग हमारी आदत सा बन चुका है, जबकि यदि हम चाहे तो फेंकने से पहले हम इनका पुनरुपयोग कर सकते है, इस लिये यह काफी आवश्यक है कि हम फेंकने से पहले इनका पुनरुपयोग करे। इस प्रकार से हम प्लास्टिक कचरे को कम करने में और प्लास्टिक प्रदूषण के रोकथाम में अपनी महात्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभा सकते है।

निष्कर्ष यह वह समय है जब हमें एक साथ मिलकर प्लास्टिक प्रदूषण जैसे इस भयावह दानव का सामना करने की आवश्यकता है। अगर हम सभी इन बताये गये उपयो को अपना ले तो हम प्लास्टिक प्रदूषण के स्तर को कम करके आसानी से इसपर काबू पा सकते है।

निबंध – 2 (400 शब्द)

आज के समय में प्लास्टिक प्रदूषण पर्यावरण के लिये एक गंभीर संकट बन गया है और आने वाले समय में यह और भी ज्यादे भयावह होने वाला है। इस प्रदूषण के कई कारण है तथा इसके नकरात्मक प्रभावो की संख्या उससे भी ज्यादे है।

प्लास्टिक प्रदूषण के कारण

1.किफायती और उपयोग में आसान प्लास्टिक सबसे ज्यादे इस्तेमाल किये जाने वाले पदार्थो में से एक है इससे डब्बे, बैग, फर्नीचर और अन्य कई उत्पाद बनाये जाते है क्योंकि किफायती होने के साथ इन्हे किसी भी आकार में ढाला जा सकता है। प्लास्टिक के वस्तुओं के बढ़ते उपयोग के कारण ही प्लास्टिक प्रदूषण जैसी गंभीर समस्या उत्पन्न हुई है।

2.नान-बायोग्रेडबल

प्लास्टिक से उत्पन्न कचरा दिन-प्रतिदिन बढ़ता जा रहा है, क्योंकि प्लास्टिक एक नान- बायोडिग्रेडबल पदार्थ है इसलिये यह जल और भूमि में विघटित नही होता है। यह वातावरण में सैकेड़ो वर्षो तक बना रहता है, जिससे यह भूमि, जल और वायु प्रदूषण का कारण बनता है

3.प्लास्टिक क्षय होता है परंतु विघटित नही होता है

प्लास्टिक बैग और प्लास्टिक से बने अन्य उत्पाद छोटे-छोटे टुकड़ो में टूट जाते है तथा मिट्टी और पानी के स्त्रोतो में मिल जाते है, जिससे प्लास्टिक प्रदूषण की समस्या उत्पन्न होती है।

प्लास्टिक प्रदूषण के प्रभाव              

इन बताये गये तरीको से प्लास्टिक प्रदूषण हमारे पर्यावरण और पृथ्वी के जनजीवन पर प्रभाव डालता है।

1.जल को प्रदूषित करता है

प्लास्टिक से उत्पन्न कचरा पानी के स्त्रोतो जैसे कि, नदियो, समुद्रो तथा महासागरो में मिल जाता है और इन्हे बुरे तरीके से प्रभावित करता है। यही पानी हमारे उपयोग के लिये हम तक पहुंचाया जाता है, इससे कोई भी फर्क नही पड़ता कि हम इन्हे कितना भी छाने यह उपने वास्तविक अवस्था में कभी वापस नही आ सकता और इस पानी के उपयोग से हमारे स्वास्थ्य पर भी नकरात्मक प्रभाव पड़ता है।

2.भूमि को प्रदूषित करता है

भारी मात्रा में प्लास्टिक से उत्पन्न होने वाले कचरे का लैंडफिलो में निस्तारण किया जाता है। इसके अलावा हवा द्वारा उड़ा लिये जाने पर प्लास्टिक के छोटे-छोटे टुकड़े एक स्थान से उड़कर दूसरे स्थान पर पहुंचा दिये जाते है और प्लास्टिक के यह टुकड़े हानिकारक रसायन उत्पन्न करते है जोकि मिट्टी के गुण तथा  उर्वरकता को नष्ट कर देता है। यह पेड़-पौधो के वृद्धि को भी प्रभावित करता है, इसके अलावा बेकार पड़े हुए प्लास्टिक से मच्छर और अन्य तरह के कीड़े उत्पन्न होते है जो कई तरह की बिमारिया फैलाते है।

3. समुद्री जीवन के लिये खतरा

प्लास्टिक बैग और अन्य प्लास्टिक कचरे जोकि नदियो और समुद्रो में पहुंच जाते है। उसे समुद्री जीवो द्वारा भ्रमवश अपना भोजन समझकर खा लिया जाता है, जिससे वह बिमार पड़ जाते है।

4.पशुओ के लिये हानिकारक

प्लास्टिक प्रदूषण पूरे विश्व के लिए एक चिंताजनक विषय बन गया है। कई सारे देशो के सरकारो द्वारा इस मुद्दे को लेकर प्लास्टिक बैगों पर प्रतिबंध जैसे कड़े फैसले लिये जा रहे है। इसके बाद भी इस समस्या का समाधान तभी संभव है जब हम सभी इस समस्या को लेकर जागरुक हो और इसे रोकने में अपना योगदान दे।

सरकार द्वारा कड़े फैसले लेने की आवश्यकता

यह वह समय है जब सरकार द्वारा इस समस्या से लड़ने के लिये कड़े फैसले लेने की आवश्यकता है। यह कुछ जरुरी कदम है जिनका आवश्यक रुप से पालन किया जाना चाहिए।

• प्लास्टिक उत्पादन पर नियंत्रण करके

प्लास्टिक वस्तुओं के बढ़ते मांग के कारण, विश्व भर में प्लास्टिक का उत्पादन बढ़ता जा रहा है। सरकार को अब किसी नयी संस्था को प्लास्टिक उत्पादन की मंजूरी नही देनी चाहिये, जिससे प्लास्टिक के उत्पादन को नियंत्रित किया जा सके।

कई देशो के सरकारो द्वारा प्लास्टिक बैग के उपयोग प्रतिबंधित कर दिया गया है क्योंकि इनके द्वारा ही सबसे ज्यादे मात्रा में प्लास्टिक प्रदूषण फैलाया जाता है। हालांकि भारत जैसे कुछ देशो में इन प्रतिबंधो को सही ढंग से लागू नही किया गया है। इसके लिये सरकार को प्लास्टिक बैग के उपयोग को रोकने के लिये कड़े फैसले लेने की आवश्यकता है।

प्लास्टिक बैग और अन्य प्लास्टिक के कण हवा तथा पानी द्वारा समुद्रो, महासागरो और अन्य पानी के स्रोतों में मिला दिये जाते है। वह लोग जो पिकनिक और कैपिंग के लिये जाते है, उनके द्वारा भी प्लास्टिक बोतलो और पैकटो के द्वारा प्लास्टिक प्रदूषण फैलाया जाता है।

यह सब नदीयों और समुद्रों में पहुंच जाता है, जिससे समुद्री जीवो के लिये एक गंभीर संकट उत्पन्न हो जाता है, क्योकि निरीह जीवो द्वारा इन प्लास्टिको को अपना भोजन समझकर खा लिया जाता है। जिससे मछलियों, कछुओं और अन्य समुद्री जीवो के स्वास्थ्य पर गंभीर संकट उत्पन्न हो जाता है। प्रतिवर्ष कई समुद्री जीव प्लास्टिक प्रदूषण की समस्या इस से अपनी जान गवा बैठते है और शोधकर्ताओं का दावा है कि आने वाले समय में इस संख्या में और इजाफा होने वाला है।

प्लास्टिक से उत्पन्न हुआ कचरा हमारे नदियों तथा पानी पीने के अन्य स्रोतों को भी दूषित कर रहा है। प्लास्टिक प्रदूषण के कारण हमारे पीने के पानी की गुणवत्ता दिन-प्रतिदिन खराब होती जा रही है, जिसेस इस पानी को पीने के कारण कई सारी बिमारीयां उत्पन्न हो रही है।

प्लास्टिक प्रदूषण से निपटने के लिये सामूहिक प्रयास

प्लास्टिक पदार्थो का निस्तारण करना काफी चुनौतिपूर्ण कार्य है। जब प्लास्टिक का कचरा लैंडफिलो या पानी के स्रोतों में पहुंच जाता है तब यह एक गंभीर संकट बन जाता है। लकड़ी और कागज की तरह हम इसका दहन करके भी इसे समाप्त नही कर सकते। क्योंकि प्लास्टिक के दहन से इससे कई सारी हानिकारक गैसे उत्पन्न होती है, जोकि पृथ्वी के वातावरण और जनजीवन के लिये काफी हानिकारक हैं। इस वजह से प्लास्टिक वायु, जल तथा भूमि तीनो तरह के प्रदूषण फैलाता है।

हम चाहे जितना भी प्रयास कर ले परन्तु प्लास्टिक उत्पादो के उपयोग को पूर्ण रुप से बंद नही कर सकते पर हम चाहे तो निश्चित रुप से इसके उपयोग को कम जरुर कर सकते है। प्लास्टिक से बने कई उत्पाद जैसे कि प्लास्टिक बैग, डिब्बे, ग्लास, बोतल, आदि की जगह हम आसनी से पर्यावरण के अनुकूल अन्य उत्पादो जैसे कि कपड़े, पेपर बैग, स्टील से बने बर्तनो और अन्य चीजो का उपयोग कर सकते है।

प्लास्टिक प्रदूषण को नियंत्रित करना मात्र सरकार की जिम्मेदारी नही है और वास्तव में अकेले सरकार इस विषय में कुछ कर भी नही सकती है। एक जिम्मेदार नागरिक होने के नाते यह हमारा कर्तव्य है कि प्लास्टिक प्रदूषण को कम करने में हम भी अपना महत्वपूर्ण योगदान दे।

पिछले कुछ दशको में प्लास्टिक प्रदूषण का स्तर काफी तेजी से बढ़ा है, जोकि एक गंभीर चिंता का विषय है। हमारे द्वारा प्लास्टिक के बढ़ते उपयोग को रोककर ही इस भयावह समस्या पर काबू पाया जा सकता है। हममे से हर एक व्यक्ति को इस समस्या के निवारण के लिये आगे आना होगा। और इसे रोकने में अपना बहूमुल्य योगदान देना होगा।

इन प्लास्टिक को का उपयोग हम करके फेंक देते हैं लेकिन हमें इस बात का बिल्कुल भी अंदाजा नहीं होता कि आगे इसका क्या होगा आपको यह बात जानकर हैरानी होगी कि पूरी दुनिया में 9 बिलियन टन प्लास्टिक मौजूद है और उस प्लास्टिक का मात्र 9% हिस्सा ही पुनः इस्तेमाल के लिए लिया गया है और बाकी के हिस्से अभी भी जलाशय एवं समुंद्र में जाकर मिले हुए हैं यह पानी के अंदर एवं जमीन पर कितने वर्षों तक पढ़े रहे यह नष्ट नहीं होते कई करोड़ों साल पश्चात यह छोटे-छोटे टुकड़ों में बढ़ जाते हैं लेकिन उसके पश्चात भी यह पूरी तरीके से खत्म नहीं होते और ना ही हमारी मिट्टी में मिलते हैं यह जलाशय में जाने के पश्चात इनके अंदर पाया जाने वाला रसायन और छोटे छोटे टुकड़ों में होने की वजह से यदि कोई जलीय जानवर से अपने अंदर ले ले तब वह उनके लिए भी बहुत हानिकारक होता है।

प्लास्टिक के उपयोग से हम सभी के जीवन में किसी न किसी प्रकार से हानि अवश्य पहुंच रही है क्योंकि हम जिस पॉलीथिन का उपयोग करते हैं उसको उपयोग में लाने के पश्चात फेंक देते हैं और वह सड़कों एवं खेतों में जाकर पड़े रहते हैं और बरसात के समय वह पानी और मिट्टी को दूषित करते हैं जिससे खेत की उर्वरा शक्ति भी कम होने लगती है कि इसके अंदर पाया जाने वाला रसायन मिट्टी के लिए उपयोग ही नहीं होता।

प्लास्टिक को बनाने के लिए कुछ जहरीले रसायन का उपयोग किया जाता है जो कुछ समय पश्चात एनिमल टिशु में बदल जाते हैं और वह सभी किसी न किसी प्रकार से हमारे खाद्य पदार्थों पर आते हैं और उसका सेवन करने से हमारे शरीर में बीमारियां होने लगती हैं और हमारा शरीर समस्याओं से जूझने लगता है। वर्तमान समय में मनुष्य पॉलिथीन के अंदर खाने की वस्तुओं को रख कर फेंक देते हैं जिससे देखने के पश्चात जानवर उसे खाने के लिए उस थैले के साथ ही खा जाते हैं और जब ऐसा होता है तब वह थैली उनके फेफड़े एवं पाचन तंत्रिका में जाकर फस जाते हैं जिस वजह से उन जानवरों की मृत्यु हो जाती है और यदि मृत्यु नहीं होती तब उनको बहुत अधिक दर्द होता है जो हम मनुष्य को वह बयां भी नहीं कर सकते।

हम सभी यह जानते हैं कि समुंदर बहुत बड़ा है एवं बहुत गहरा है लेकिन हम जिस प्रकार से पॉलिथीन एवं प्लास्टिक की बनी वस्तुओं का उपयोग करके उसे फेंक रहे हैं यदि इसी प्रकार चलता रहा तो आने वाले 20 सालों में समुंद्र के अंदर समुद्री जानवर से ज्यादा प्लास्टिक हमें दिखाई देगी जो हमारे पर्यावरण एवं समुद्री जानवरों के लिए बहुत ही हानिकारक है। हमें प्लास्टिक के उपयोग पर बैन लगाना चाहिए ताकि लोग प्लास्टिक का कम से कम उपयोग करें और इससे इसे बनाने वाली कंपनियां भी बहुत ही कम मात्रा में बनाए ताकि आने वाला समय हमारे लिए अच्छा रहे यदि हम प्लास्टिक बैन नहीं करेंगे तब इसका उपयोग इसी प्रकार से बढ़ता जाएगा और आने वाला समय जानवरों एवं मनुष्य के लिए बहुत ही खतरनाक साबित हो सकता है।

प्लास्टिक प्रदूषण एक पर्यावरणीय समस्या है जो प्लास्टिक के उपयोग के परिणामस्वरूप उत्पन्न होती है। प्लास्टिक एक अविश्वसनीय औद्योगिक उत्पाद है जो बहुत सारे उपयोगों के लिए इस्तेमाल होता है, जैसे कि खाद्य संचार, वस्त्रों, इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स, औषधि पैकेजिंग, आदि। प्लास्टिक की बढ़ती मांग के कारण, इसका उत्पादन और उपयोग भी बहुत तेजी से बढ़ रहा है। प्लास्टिक से बनी वस्तुओं का उपयोग करने के बाद उसे कचरे के रूप में भूमि पर या जल स्रोतों में फेंकना और इस प्लास्टिक कचरे का इकठ्ठा होना ही प्लास्टिक प्रदूषण कहलाता है।

सिंगल यूज़ प्लास्टिक वह है जो हम रोज़मर्रा के कामों के लिए इस्तेमाल करते हैं। जैसे कि प्लास्टिक की थैलि से राशन लाना हो फल सब्जी लाना हो आदि। आजकल ज्यादातर फूड आइटम प्लास्टिक में पैक होते हैं जैसे की चिप्स, कुरकुरे, चाकलेट आदि। पैकेजिंग पानी का बोतल, कोल्ड ड्रिंक की बोतल आदि सिंगल यूज प्लास्टिक कहलाता है। इन प्लास्टिक को ज्यादातर इस्तेमाल करने के बाद यहां वहां फेंक देते हैं। लेकिन हमारी यह गलती पर्यावरण के लिए बहुत ही हानिकारक है। प्लास्टिक का उत्पादन दुनिया भर में तेजी से बढ़ रहा है और उसका इस्तेमाल भी भारी मात्रा में हो रहा है।

प्लास्टिक प्रदूषण प्लास्टिक के कचरे से उत्पन्न होता है। प्लास्टिक एक नॉन- बायोडिग्रेडेबल पदार्थ है जो सैंकड़ो वर्षों तक पृथ्वी पर रहकर वातावरण को नुक्सान पहुंचाता है। आज के समय में यह विकराल रुप धारण कर चुका है और दिन-प्रतिदिन बढ़ता ही जा रहा है।

अब सवाल आता है कि प्लास्टिक प्रदूषण को कैसे रोकें? इसके लिए हम व्यग्तिगत स्तर पर प्लास्टिक का इस्तेमाल बंद कर सकते हैं। इसकी जगह हम विकल्प का इस्तेमाल कर सकते हैं। इसके साथ ही हम रीयूज़ की आदत अपने दैनिक जीवन में शामिल कर सकते हैं। प्लास्टिक बैग फेंकने से पहले जितनी बार भी हो सके उनका पुनरुपयोग कर सकते हैं। इस प्रकार हम प्लास्टिक कचरे को कम करने में और प्लास्टिक प्रदूषण के रोकथाम में अपनी महात्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभा सकते हैं।

माइक्रोप्लास्टिक जल स्त्रोतों से हमारे घर तक पहुंचाए जाने वाले पेयजल प्रणालियों में और हवा में प्रवेश करते\। जाने अनजाने में इन मइक्रोप्लास्टिक का सेवन हम इंसान भी कर रहें हैं, जिसके कारण हम बीमार भी पड़ सकते हैं और हमे गंभीर बिमारियों का सामना भी करना पड़ सकता है।

दुनिया भर में प्रदूषण की समस्या में दिनोंदिन बढ़ोतरी होती जा रही है। इसमें भी प्लास्टिक एक समस्या है जो सबसे अधिक चिंताजनक है क्योंकि यह एक ऐसा पदार्थ होता है जिसे नष्ट होने में काफी समय लगता है। केवल इतना ही नहीं इसके कारण पानी से लेकर हवा और भूमि सभी प्रदूषित होते हैं। हमें प्लास्टिक रिसाइकिलंग के बारे में गंभीरता से सोचना होगा और व्यक्तिगत रूप से भी अपनी ज़िम्मेदारी का निर्वाह करना पड़ेगा, तभी हमारी पृथ्वी सुरक्षित रहेगी। स्पष्ट रूप से हमें इस दिशा में और अधिक गंभीरता के साथ कार्य करने की आवश्यकता है।

प्लास्टिक प्रदूषण कई कारणों से होता है। प्लास्टिक सबसे ज़्यादा इस्तेमाल किया जाने वाला पदार्थ है। यह किफायती होने के साथ इन्हे किसी भी आकार में ढाला जा सकता है। प्लास्टिक के वस्तुओं के बढ़ते उपयोग के कारण ही प्लास्टिक प्रदूषण जैसी गंभीर समस्या उत्पन्न हुई है। प्लास्टिक एक नान- बायोडिग्रेडबल पदार्थ है। इससे उत्पन्न कचरा दिन-प्रतिदिन बढ़ता जा रहा है। यह जल और भूमि में विघटित नहीं होता है। यह वातावरण में सैकेड़ो वर्षो तक बना रहता है, जिससे यह भूमि, जल और वायु प्रदूषण का कारण बनता है। प्लास्टिक बैग और प्लास्टिक से बने अन्य उत्पाद छोटे-छोटे टुकड़ो में टूट जाते हैं। यह मिट्टी और पानी के स्त्रोतो में मिल जाते है। परिणामस्वरूप, प्लास्टिक प्रदूषण की समस्या उत्पन्न होती है।

प्लास्टिक अन्य जीवन रूपों को प्रभावित कर सकता है। जल में प्लास्टिक के पड़ जाने से जलजीवन, मत्स्य, और अन्य जलीय प्राणियों को नुकसान पहुंच सकता है। जब प्लास्टिक कचरा जल निकायों में पहुंचता है, तो यह जलमार्गों को प्रदूषित करता है। प्लास्टिक कचरे की वजह से नदियों, समुद्रों और झीलों का पानी गंदा हो जाता है, जिससे जलजीवन और मानव स्वास्थ्य पर नकारात्मक प्रभाव पड़ता है। प्लास्टिक प्रदूषण के कारण वनस्पतियों और महत्वपूर्ण प्राणियों को नुकसान पहुंचता है। प्लास्टिक के टुकड़े, छोटे उपकरण और प्लास्टिक वगैरह के साथ जंगली जानवरों के गले बंध सकते हैं या उनके पांव में फंस सकते हैं, जिससे उन्हें खाने-पीने और आकारीय गतिविधियों में समस्याएं हो सकती हैं। प्लास्टिक के उपयोग से उत्पन्न होने वाले केमिकल्स और विषाणुओं के कारण, मानव स्वास्थ्य पर भी नकारात्मक प्रभाव पडता है। सांस लेने या प्लास्टिक उत्पादों के संपर्क में आने के कारण स्वास्थ्य समस्याएं जैसे एलर्जी, श्वसन संबंधी समस्याएं, हार्मोनल असंतुलन, कैंसर आदि हो सकता हैं।

प्लास्टिक प्रदूषण को कम करने के लिए हमें व्यक्तिगत स्तर पर पहल करने की ज़रूरत है। प्लास्टिक के उपयोग को कम करना, प्लास्टिक से बेहतर निपटारा, विकल्प उत्पादों का उपयोग, जनसंचार के माध्यम से जागरूकता फैलाना , वैज्ञानिक और प्रौद्योगिकी उन्नति से प्लास्टिक के विकास को कम करना, प्रदूषण नियंत्रण नीतियों को सख्ती से लागू करना , सिंगल यूज़ प्लास्टिक पर बैन आदि से हम प्लास्टिक प्रदूषण को कम कर सकते हैं।

प्रस्तावना: हर साल लाखों टन में पॉलीथिन का उत्पादन किया जाता है। जिसके बाद पॉलीथिन तथा पॉलीथिन की वस्तुओं को कचरे में रीसाइकल के लिए फेंक दिया जाता है। लेकिन रीसाइकल ना हो पाने के कारण यह पॉलीथिन पर्यावरण के लिए अभिशाप बन जाती है। पर्यावरण का मनुष्य के जीवन में महत्वपूर्ण स्थान है। पॉलीथिन के उपयोग से होना वाला पर्यावरण का नुक़सान मानव अथवा प्राणी जीवन के लिए बेहद घातक है।

सिंगल यूज प्लास्टिक क्या है?

सिंगल यूज प्लास्टिक से अभिप्राय है, एक ऐसी प्लास्टिक जिसका उपयोग केवल एक बार ही किया जा सकता है। सामान्य भाषा में इस प्रकार की प्लास्टिक को डिस्पोजेबल प्लास्टिक कहा जाता है। सिंगल यूज प्लास्टिक के अन्तर्गत प्लास्टिक की थैलियां, प्लास्टिक के गिलास व चम्मच, पानी की बोतलें, खाद्य पद में प्रयोग होने वाली पैकिंग प्लास्टिक शामिल हैं। इस प्रकार की प्लास्टिक का उपयोग रिसाइकिल में भी नहीं किया जाता। प्रयोग के बाद इस प्लास्टिक को कचरे में डाल दिया जाता है। जोकि पर्यावरण के लिए नुकसानदायक साबित होता है।

सिंगल प्लास्टिक के यूज से पर्यावरण को नुक़सान: सामान्यतः सिंगल प्लास्टिक का यूज करके आमतौर पर लोग इसे फेंक देते हैं। जिसके बाद मिट्टी वाली सतह पर यह पॉलीथिन दब जाती है। इसके अतिरिक्त जब यह पॉलीथिन नाली-नालों में फेंकी जाती है। इनके माध्यम से पॉलीथिन समुद्र तक पहुंच जाती हैं। पॉलीथिन मिट्टी तथा पानी में पहुंचते ही छोटे कणों में विघटित हो जाती है। इसके अतिरिक्त पॉलीथिन सौ से अधिक वर्षों तक पानी तथा मिट्टी में व्याप्त रहती है। धीरे धीरे करके अधिक मात्रा में पॉलीथिन के विषाक्त रसायन बाहर निकलते रहते हैं। जो कि धरती के सुन्दर पर्यावरण को प्रदूषित करते हैं। इस प्रकार पॉलीथिन जल, मृदा तथा प्राणियों को आंतरिक रूप से नुकसान पहुंचाती है।

सिंगल प्लास्टिक यूज पर बैन लगाने का कारण: पॉलीथिन के उपयोग के कारण पर्यावरण में पैदा होने वाला प्रदूषण नियंत्रण करना बेहद मुश्किल है। यह समस्या संपूर्ण विश्व के लिए चिंता का विषय है। पॉलीथिन को दोबारा प्रयोग करना मुश्किल है। पॉलीथिन के कचरे में डलने तथा जलने से जो धुआं निकलता है वह हवा में विषैली गैस के रूप में फैलता है। इस प्रकार की परिस्थितयों पर गौर करते हुए, सरकार द्वारा सिंगल प्लास्टिक यूज पर प्रतिबंध लगाने का निर्णय लिया जाता रहा है।

निष्कर्ष: सिंगल प्लास्टिक यूज एक ऐसा पदार्थ है, जो कि रसायनों से बना हुआ है। इसका प्रयोग प्रकृति की लिए हानिकारक है। मनुष्य के साथ साथ यह जानवरों की जान के लिए भी घातक है। अतः सरकार द्वारा इसके प्रयोग पर प्रतिबंध लगाने का प्रयास सफल होना आवश्यक है।

प्लास्टिक प्रतिबन्ध पर निबंध

प्लास्टिक के उत्पादों को इसलिए पसंद किया जाता है क्योकि यह उपयोग करने में बहुत ही आसान होते हैं. एक बार उपयोग में लाने के बाद इसे फेंक दिया जाता है. इसलिए ये बहुत ही सस्ते भी होते हैं. लेकिन आपको बता दें कि प्लास्टिक उपयोग में जितना आसान एवं सस्ता होता है, उससे ज्यादा यह हमारे पर्यावरण को नुकसान पहुंचता है. और यदि पर्यावरण ही नहीं होगा तो हमारा जीवन भी खत्म हो जायेगा, इसलिए वश्विक स्टार पर प्लास्टिक पर प्रतिबन्ध लगाने के लिए अभियान चलाया जा रहा है. हमारे देश में भी ऐसे प्लास्टिक पर प्रतिबन्ध लगाया गया है जोकि सिंगल यूज़ के हैं यानि एक बार उपयोग में लाने के बाद इसे दोबारा उपयोग में नहीं लाया जा सकता.

सिंगल यूज प्लास्टिक क्या हैं (Single Use Plastic)

सिंगल यूज प्लास्टिक को हम डिस्पोजेबल प्लास्टिक भी कह सकते हैं. इसका मतलब यह हैं कि जब हम किसी ऐसे तरह के प्लास्टिक से बने उत्पादों का उपयोग करते हैं जिसे हम एक बार इस्तेमाल करने के बाद दोबारा किसी उपयोग में नहीं ले सकते हैं वे सभी उत्पाद सिंगल यूज प्लास्टिक वाले उत्पाद होते हैं. इस तरह के उत्पादों का मुख्य रूप से आधार पेट्रोलियम होता हैं. इसमें पैसे बहुत कम लगते हैं, इसलिए आज यह सबसे ज्यादा उपयोग किया जाने वाला उत्पाद बन गया हैं. हालांकि इसे खरीदने एवं यूज करने में ज्यादा खर्च नहीं होता हैं लेकिन आपको यह बता दें कि जब आप इसे एक बार उपयोग करने के बाद फेक देते हैं तो इसका कचरा, उसकी सफाई और उसे नष्ट करने के लिए बहुत अधिक पैसे खर्च हो जाते हैं. और इससे जो दुनिया को नुकसान होता हैं वह अलग.

प्लास्टिक प्रतिबन्ध उत्पाद (Plastic Ban Products/Items List)

जो सबसे सामान्य सिंगल यूज प्लास्टिक हैं वे हैं कैरी बैग, प्लास्टिक की पानी की बोतल, प्लास्टिक की बोतल के कैप, कप, प्लेट, डिस्पोजेबल प्रोडक्ट्स, खाने के खाली पैकेट, प्लास्टिक के किराना बैग, प्लास्टिक के पानी पौउच, प्लास्टिक के रैपर, स्ट्रॉ एवं अन्य प्रकार के प्लास्टिक बैग आदि. इसके साथ ही इस तरह के  प्लास्टिक के उत्पादन में कुछ मुख्य पॉलीमर्स का इस्तेमाल करना होता हैं. जिसमें शामिल होने वाले कुछ मुख्य पॉलीमर्स एचडीपीई, एलडीपीई, पीईटी, पीपी, पीएस और ईपीएस आदि हैं.

आज दुनिया में इसकी खरीद सस्ती होने के कारण यह सबसे ज्यादा उपयोग होने वाला आइटम बन चूका हैं. क्योंकि आज लोग ‘यूज एंड थ्रो’ वाली नीति को ज्यादा अपनाते हैं. लेकिन आपको इस बात की खबर नहीं होगी कि पर्यावरण ने दुनिया के 9 बिलियन टन प्लास्टिक का सिर्फ 9 प्रतिशत रिसाइकिल किया हैं. और बाकी का अधिकांश प्लास्टिक का कचरा जलमार्ग के माध्यम से महासागरों में जाकर मिल जाता हैं. प्लास्टिक स्वाभाविक रूप से सड़ने वाला उत्पाद नहीं हैं, इसकी बजाय वे धीरे – धीरे माइक्रोप्लास्टिक नामक प्लास्टिक के छोटे – छोटे टुकड़ों में टूट जाते हैं. फिर भी यह नष्ट नहीं होता हैं. इसमें एक तरह का रसायनिक तत्व पाया जाता हैं, जोकि मिट्टी के साथ मिलकर जलमार्ग के माध्यम से जलाशय में पहुँच जाता हैं, और इससे वहां रहने वाले जीव जन्तुओं को नुकसान पहुँचता हैं. यह न ही मिट्टी में घुल पाते हैं और न ही पानी में. इसी वजह से प्लास्टिक बहुत नुकसानदायक एवं खराब होते हैं.  

प्लास्टिक का प्रभाव (Plastic Effects)

एक बार उपयोग किये जाने वाले प्लास्टिक से क्या – क्या प्रभाव पड़ते हैं आइये जानते हैं –

• प्लास्टिक के कुछ उत्पाद जैसे की थैलियाँ आदि को सड़ने में काफी अधिक समय लगता है. और इस बीच में यह हमारी मिट्टी और पानी दोनों को प्रदूषित कर देती हैं.
• प्लास्टिक के निर्माण के लिए उपयोग किये जाने वाले कुछ जहरीले रसायन होते हैं जोकि पहले एनिमल टिश्यू में परिवर्तित होते हैं, और फिर यह मानव खाद्य श्रंखला में प्रवेश करता हैं. फिर ये खाद्य पदार्थों के सेवन से यह हमारे शरीर में पहुंचकर उसे भी प्रभावित करता हैं.
• यदि इस तरह के प्लास्टिक को जानवरों द्वारा या इंसानों द्वारा निगला जाता हैं तो या उनके तंत्रिका तंत्र, फेफड़े और कुछ अन्य अंगों को काफी नुकसान पहुंचा सकता हैं.
• यह जीव – जंतु, एवं मानव शरीर के अलावा पर्यावरण को भी प्रभावित करता हैं. जब प्लास्टिक के उत्पाद मिट्टी में मिलते हैं, तो उसमें पाए जाने वाले खतरनाक रसायन भी मिट्टी में मिल जाते हैं. इससे जब उस मिट्टी में पेड़ – पौधों लगायें जाते हैं या जो खुद से उत्पन्न होते हैं उनपर यह नकारात्मक प्रभाव डालते हैं.
• आज प्लास्टिक की बहुत अधिक मात्रा समुद्र में मिल रही हैं, जिसके चलते यदि वर्तमान रुझान देखा जाये तो सन 2050 तक समुद्र में जीव जंतुओं की तुलना में प्लास्टिक अधिक दिखाई देगा. जोकि पर्यावरण एवं जलीय जीव जंतुओं के लिए बिलकुल भी अच्छी बात नहीं है.

अतः लगभग सभी जानवरों की प्रजातियों, मनुष्यों और पर्यावरण के लिए प्लास्टिक का कचरा एक बुरा प्रभाव डालता हैं. एक बार एक वीडियो काफी अधिक वायरल हुआ था जोकि एक समुद्री कछुए के बारे में था, जिसमें उसकी नथुने में प्लास्टिक स्ट्रॉ जैसा कोई पदार्थ फंस गया था. और उस वजह से उसका क्या हाल हुआ था. वहीँ उस वीडियो में दिखाया गया था. और तब से ही प्लास्टिक के उत्पादों पर प्रतिबंध लगाने का मुख्य कारण सामने आया हैं.    

प्लास्टिक के स्थान पर किसका उपयोग करें (Plastic Solutions)

सिंगल यूज प्लास्टिक के स्थान पर आप इस तरह के तत्वों पर ध्यान दे सकते हैं जिनमें रिसाइकिलिंग दर, सुरक्षा, वजन, परिवहन क्षमता और सामर्थ्य सभी चीजें हों. प्लास्टिक के स्थान पर कुछ अन्य चीजों का उपयोग आसानी से कर सकते हैं जैसे –

• यदि आप प्लास्टिक की पानी की बोतलों का उपयोग कर रहे हैं तो उसके स्थान पर आप कुछ धातुओं से बनी बोतल जैसे कांच, कॉपर एवं मिट्टी से बनी बोतल का भी इस्तेमाल कर सकते हैं.
• आप यदि प्लास्टिक से बने कप, प्लेट, स्ट्रॉ एवं इसी तरह के अन्य उत्पाद का उपयोग कर रहे हैं तो आप तुरंत ही इसका उपयोग करना बंद करिये और इसके स्थान पर पेपर या जिसे दोबारा रिसाइकिल किया जा सके इस तरह के उत्पादों का उपयोग करिये.
• बाजार में इन दिनों प्लास्टिक की थैलियाँ काफी नजर आ रही हैं लेकिन इसके स्थान पर आप कपड़े या जूट से बने कैरी बैग बाजार से खरीदें और उसे अपने साथ लेकर भी जायें.
• इस सभी चीजों के अलावा आप प्लास्टिक की चम्मच या चाकू के स्थान पर स्टील के चाकू एवं लकड़ी आदि की चम्मच एवं चाकू का उपयोग करें.   
• इसके अलावा आप यह भी कर सकते हैं कि आप थोक में आइटम को खरीदें ताकि आप प्लास्टिक की पैकेजिंग से बच सकें, और जितना संभव हो उतना रिसाइकिल करें.

इसके अलावा कुछ ऐसे उत्पादों के विकल्प भी हैं जिनके बारे में बहुत कम लोगों को पता हैं, उदाहरण के लिए बीओपीपी फिल्म्स, इसके बारे में इंडस्ट्री के बहुत से लोगों को जानकारी नहीं है, लेकिन इनमें उच्च पारदर्शिता होती हैं और इसे नमी के लिए एक अच्छा स्त्रोत माना जाता हैं. इसलिए इसका उपयोग किसी उत्पाद को कवर करने के लिए किया जा सकता हैं. 

प्लास्टिक बैगों पर प्रतिबंध

प्लास्टिक पर प्रतिबंध लगाने वाले दुनिया में बहुत से देश हैं. आइये हम आपको इसके बारे में जानकारी देते हैं–

भारत में प्लास्टिक पर प्रतिबंध (Plastic Ban in India)

अन्य देश जहाँ पर सिंगल यूज प्लास्टिक की मैन्युफैक्चरिंग एवं उसके उपयोग पर रोक लगा दी गई हैं, उसकी सूची में अब एक और नाम शामिल होने जा रहा हैं वह है हमारा देश भारत. जी हां प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी जी ने इस साल स्वतंत्रता दिवस पर कई मुद्दों पर बात की थी, जिसमें से एक था प्लास्टिक के उत्पाद जिसे दोबारा उपयोग में नहीं लाया जा सकता उस पर रोक लगाना. उन्होंने लोगों को इसके नुकसान के बारे में बताते हुए उनसे इसका उपयोग न करने के लिए आग्रह किया हैं. और यह भी कहा है कि हमारे देश के राष्ट्रपिता की इस साल 150 वीं जन्मतिथि पर इस अभियान को शुरू कर दिया जायेगा. और साथ ही उन्होंने इस अभियान के चलते यह लक्ष्य तय किया हैं कि साल 2022 में हमारा भारत एक बार उपयोग वाले प्लास्टिक रहित देश बनेगा.

अतः गाँधी जयंती पर अक्टूबर महिने की दूसरी तारीख से अब भारत में इस तरह के प्लास्टिक का उपयोग करना गैर – कानूनी माना जायेगा. हालांकि इसकी घोषणा पहले ही कर दी गई थी कि अब से सिंगल यूज प्लास्टिक की मैन्युफैक्चरिंग बंद कर दी जाये, इसलिए महाराष्ट्र, तमिलनाडू, ओडिशा, मध्यप्रदेश जैसे भारत के कुल 18 राज्य ऐसे हैं जिन्होंने प्लास्टिक के बैग की मैन्युफैक्चरिंग पर रोक लगा दी हैं. जल्द ही यह प्रक्रिया पूरे भारत में लागू हो जाएगी.     

प्लास्टिक का उपयोग

दिन प्रतिदिन प्लास्टिक का उपयोग भी बढ़ता जा रहा है अब जैसे पानी की बोतल ले लो या फिर कोई भी सामान। अगर एक आंकड़े उठाकर देखा जाए तो एक व्यक्ति के द्वारा प्रतिवर्ष 11 किलो से भी ज्यादा वस्तुओं का उपयोग प्लास्टिक के रूप में किया जा रहा है। यह आंकड़ा भारत का है अगर पूरे विश्व का आंकड़ा देखें तो एक व्यक्ति प्रति वर्ष में 28 किलो से ज्यादा प्लास्टिक का इस्तेमाल करता है। इतनी अधिक मात्रा में प्लास्टिक का इस्तेमाल हमारे स्वास्थ्य के लिए बहुत ज्यादा खतरनाक है। आज के समय में प्लास्टिक का उपयोग बहुत सारी चीजों के लिए किया जाता है जैसे प्लास्टिक के चम्मच टूथब्रश प्लेट गिलास कब बैग, पानी पीने की बोतल आदि। इस प्लास्टिक को इस्तेमाल करने के बाद जब हम इधर उधर फेंक देते हैं तो आपको पता है इसके विघटन प्रक्रिया में लगभग 400 साल से भी ज्यादा का समय लग जाता है। इसका सीधा अर्थ यही है कि अगर हम आज प्लास्टिक का इस्तेमाल कर रहे हैं तो हमारी आने वाली पीढ़ी को 400 साल तक इसका नुकसान भुगतना पड़ेगा।

प्लास्टिक के लाभ

प्लास्टिक के इस्तेमाल के नुकसान ही नहीं कुछ लाभ भी होते हैं जो निम्नलिखित हैं:-

• आसान  प्रयोग करना और निर्माण :- प्लास्टिक को किसी भी आकार में डाला जा सकता है और इसका इस्तेमाल भी बहुत आसानी से किसी भी तरीके से लिए किया जा सकता है। दैनिक रूप से विभिन्न प्रकार के साधनों को जुटाने के लिए प्लास्टिक का इस्तेमाल किया जाता है।
• सस्ता : – प्लास्टिक से कुछ भी बनाने के लिए बहुत कम खर्चे की आवश्यकता होती है। इसके अतिरिक्त यदि कपड़े या कागज से कुछ बनाया जाए तो वह महंगा पड़ता है। इसलिए प्लास्टिक का इस्तेमाल बहुत लाभदायक होता है क्योंकि कम पैसे में ही विभिन्न प्रकार के उत्पाद जैसे पॉलिथीन, खिलौने आदि बनाए जा सकते हैं।
• मजबूत और टिकाऊ :- लंबे समय तक चलने वाला यह है कि ऐसा प्रोडक्ट है जो पूरी तरह से वाटर प्रूफ भी है और आसानी से उपयोग में भी लाया जा सकता है। इसका सबसे बड़ा फायदा यह है कि इसे आसानी से साफ ही किया जा सकता है और संभाल कर भी रखा जा सकता है।
• जल प्रतिरोधी और गंदहीन : – इसका एक फायदा यह भी है कि पानी से यह खराब नहीं हो सकता और ना ही इसमें कोई बदबू आती है। जबकि प्लास्टिक के बर्तन में लंबे समय तक पानी को स्टोर करके भी रखा जा सकता है।
• रीसायकल और पुनः उपयोग :- प्लास्टिक को तोड़ मरोड़ कर कुछ भी नया आकार दिया जा सकता है और उसका दोबारा से उपयोग किया जा सकता है। आज के समय में प्लास्टिक का पुनः उपयोग बहुत ज्यादा किया जा रहा है जिसे रीसायकल कर के नए-नए उत्पाद बनाकर बाजार में लाए जाते हैं।

प्लास्टिक से हानि  

प्लास्टिक से हमें बहुत ज्यादा नुकसान भी होता है जिसके कुछ नुकसान हम आपको यहां बताने जा रहे हैं विभिन्न जीवो के लिए भी और पर्यावरण के लिए भी:-

• स्वास्थ्य के लिए :- प्लास्टिक के बर्तन में खाना खाना है और उसमें लंबे समय तक खाना रखने से हमें कई सारी गंभीर बीमारियों का सामना करना पड़ सकता है। प्लास्टिक कुछ विभिन्न प्रकार के जहरीले रसायनों से बनाकर उसे आकार दिया जाता है जिसकी वजह से उसका सीधा प्रभाव स्वास्थ्य पर पड़ता है।
• पर्यावरण के लिए :- प्लास्टिक का एक बार संभाल कर के उसे खराब समझकर जब इधर-उधर फेंक दिया जाता है तो वह जमीन में जाकर उसे बंजर बना देता है। पानी में जाकर उसे दूषित कर देता है, इसके अलावा और भी कई सारे प्रभाव पर्यावरण के लिए बहुत ज्यादा घातक हैं जो प्लास्टिक की वजह से देखने को मिलते हैं।
• समुद्री जीवो के लिए :- समुद्र के पानी में आज के समय में बहुत बड़ी मात्रा में प्लास्टिक जैसे गंदे पदार्थ देकर जाते हैं जो यदि कोई समुद्री जीव निगल जाता है, तो उसके स्वास्थ्य पर बहुत ज्यादा नुकसान पहुंचता है कई बार तो वे जानवर मौत के घाट पहुंच जाते हैं।
• जानवरों के लिए :- अच्छा दे’खा जाता है लोग अपने घरों का कूड़ा पॉलिथीन आदि में इकट्ठा करके बाहर रख देते हैं जिसे जानवर खाना शुरु कर देते हैं। ऐसे में जहरीले प्लास्टिक बैग आदि को जानवर निगल जाते हैं, जिनकी वजह से उनके पेट और शरीर के अन्य हिस्सों में विभिन्न प्रकार के रोग और समस्याएं उत्पन्न हो जाती हैं।
• भूमि प्रदूषण :- प्लास्टिक में मौजूद विषाक्त रसायन इतने ज्यादा भयंकर होते हैं जिनकी वजह से कभी कभी भूमि को बहुत ज्यादा नुकसान पड़ता है। कई बार भूमि के आस-पास पड़ी हुई प्लास्टिक गर्मी या विभिन्न पदार्थों की वजह से जल्दी आग पकड़ लेती है  
• जल प्रदूषण :- घरेलू इस्तेमाल में दैनिक रूप से हम इतनी सारी पॉलिथीन इस्तेमाल करते हैं कि उन्हें इस्तेमाल करने के बाद इधर-उधर फेंक देते हैं जिसकी वजह से कई बार ये नाली में जमा हो जाती हैं और उसे जमा कर सकती हैं। यहां से निकलने के बाद बड़े बड़े नालों में जाकर मिल जाती हैं और पॉलिथीन की वजह से प्लास्टिक से निकलने वाला एसिड और अन्य विषाक्त जैसे पानी में मिल जाती हैं। इसकी वजह से पूरे विश्व में जल प्रदूषण की समस्या बढ़ती जा रही है।
• जलवायु परिवर्तन :- पॉलिथीन के इस्तेमाल से हमारा पर्यावरण बहुत ज्यादा दूषित होता जा रहा है। मिट्टी में मिल कर मिट्टी को दूषित करता है तथा जल में घुलकर जल को प्रदूषित कर देता है। दिन प्रतिदिन जलवायु में बढ़ते बदलाव का सबसे बड़ा कारण पॉलिथीन बनता जा रहा है।

प्लास्टिक रिसाइक्लिंग  

प्लास्टिक से निकलने वाले कचरे को रिसाइकल करके काफी विभिन्न प्रकार की चीजें बनाई जाती है।

• प्लास्टिक की बाल्टी, टब

• सड़क निर्माण में भी हो चुका है प्लास्टिक का उपयोग
• डेकोरेशन की चीजें बनाने के लिए भी होता है इस्तेमाल
• प्लास्टिक को रिसाइकल करके चटाई बनाई जाती है

प्लास्टिक का उपयोग करना कैसे बंद करें

प्लास्टिक का उपयोग हमें धीरे-धीरे बंद करना होगा तभी हम अपने पर्यावरण और स्वास्थ्य को बचाने में सक्षम हो पाएंगे। प्लास्टिक के उपयोग को बंद करने के लिए हमें निम्न उपाय अपनाने चाहिए।

• बाजार जाते समय अपने घर से अपना थैला लेते जाएं ना कि बाजार से प्लास्टिक की पॉलीथिन में सामान लेकर आएं।
• प्लास्टिक की खरीद पर बैन लगाने के लिए हर किसी को जागरूक करें।
• प्लास्टिक से बने उत्पादों को खरीदने का विरोध करें।
• प्लास्टिक के बैग की जगह कपड़े का बैग या कागज का बैग का इस्तेमाल करें।
• प्लास्टिक का इस्तेमाल करने के बाद उसे रीसाइकिल्ड के लिए इस्तेमाल करें ताकि वह पर्यावरण को नुकसान ना पहुंचाएं।
• सरकार को प्लास्टिक के उपयोग के लिए महत्वपूर्ण कदम उठाने चाहिए ताकि लोग भी इसके प्रति जागरूक हो सके।
• प्लास्टिक को महंगा कर देना चाहिए ताकि लोग इसे ना तो खरीदें और ना ही इसका इस्तेमाल करें।

• डाउन टू अर्थ नामक पत्रिका में एक रिपोर्ट में यह दर्शाया गया है कि भारत में हर साल लगभग 16.5 मिलियन टन प्लास्टिक का उपयोग किया जाता हैं.
• यूरोपीय संघ ने भी आने वाले 1-2 साल में कुछ प्लास्टिक वस्तुओं जैसे स्ट्रॉस, कांटे, चाकू, कॉटन बड्स आदि पर पूरी तरह से रोक लगाने की योजना बनाई हैं.
• आपको बता दें कि प्रत्येक वर्ष विश्व में लगभग 300 मिलियन से भी अधिक प्लास्टिक की थैलियों का उपयोग होता हैं, जिसमें से केवल 10-13 प्रतिशत प्लास्टिक थैलियाँ ही रिसाइकिल हो पाती हैं बाकी की पूरी समुद्र में जाकर मिलती हैं.

प्लास्टिक एक ऐसा पदार्थ हैं जोकि कुछ रसायन से बना होता हैं. इसलिए इसका उपयोग करना मतलब प्रकृति को नुकसान पहुँचाना हैं. और इससे मनुष्य के साथ – साथ जानवरों का जीवन भी संकट में डालना हैं. इसलिए हमारी भी आपसे विनती हैं कि आप भी प्लास्टिक का उपयोग करना बंद कर इससे फैलने वाले प्रदूषण से खुद को एवं दुनिया को बचाएं.

Today, plastic usage has increased gradually with the appearance of the number of shops in the market. Because of the most affordable and cheap material, plastic is used everywhere. Since plastic is non-biodegradable, it does not decompose easily.

Due to plastics being made up of strong chemicals, it is resistant to the many natural degradation processes. Plastic pollution is affecting both water bodies and land.

Due to excessive use of plastic, the soil of the Earth surface is losing its fertility because plastic marine life is severely hampered. Many species of fish are getting extinct because of plastic pollution. It is also destroying the habitat of aquatic organisms. Many companies are using plastic to package their food products and other things; it is causing many diseases by consuming the food products packaged in plastic.

Thus, to avoid the harmful effects of plastic pollution, consumers should be aware of using those dangerous plastic products.

People should not accept plastics from the stores while buying any item. The social organisation should conduct many awareness programs to educate the civilians against the harmful effects of using plastics. It is very important to be aware of plastic pollution because it is highly poisonous and deadly for the globe’s environment, which may even disrupt the hormonal balance in humans. So it has become very important to ‘say no to plastic’.

We know that plastics are made up of petroleum which is not easily degradable in the environment; therefore, the government should take strict measures and a lot of plastic bag disposal systems in many cities, towns and rural areas to avoid littering. Introduction

Plastic bags are quite popular because they are light in weight, easily affordable and easy to carry. Because of the cheap price, plastic bags are used by many shopkeepers. We don’t need to purchase these plastic bags and our purchased items as they are given freely by the shopkeepers.

A problem caused by plastic

As plastics are non-biodegradable, it takes hundreds and thousands of years to degrade completely in the soil. Here are some of the problems caused by plastic are :

Non-biodegradable

Plastic materials and plastic bags are non-biodegradable. Thus disposing of these plastics is the biggest challenge for us. They break down into small particles and enter the soil and water bodies; however, they do not decompose completely. Since it takes many years to decompose, it pollutes the ground of the Earth’s surface, decreases soil fertility, and decreases the production of vegetables and crops.

Harmful effects on the environment

Plastics are destroying nature owing to their harmful effect. Plastics have become a major cause of land pollution and water pollution today. Plastic wastes that are thrown into the landfills take almost 500 years to decompose. It is also destroying the ecosystem of oceans and seas. It is polluting the water bodies and killing the aquatic animals. Thousands of Whales and millions of fish are getting killed because of plastic pollution in the ocean.

The harmful effect of plastic on animals and Marine creatures

Many animals and Marine creatures consume plastic along with their natural Food. Plastics cannot be digested and thus get trapped in their body. Large amounts of plastic particles accumulated in the intestines of various sea creatures and animals result in serious health problems. Millions of animals and sea creatures are killed just because of plastic pollution. It has become one of the biggest problems for the entire world to avoid plastic.

Governments can also implement policies to reduce the production and use of single-use plastic, such as taxes on plastic bags and bans on single-use plastic items.

My Experience

As a frequent traveler, I have seen first-hand the harmful impact of single-use plastic on the environment. On a trip to a small island in the Caribbean, I was struck by the amount of plastic waste on the beach and in the ocean. I remember walking along the shore and seeing plastic bottles, bags, and packaging materials washed up on the sand, mixed in with shells and other natural debris.

One day, while snorkeling, I encountered a sea turtle that was entangled in a plastic bag. It was a heart-wrenching sight, as the turtle struggled to free itself from the plastic that was restricting its movement. I felt helpless, knowing that this was just one example of the harm that single-use plastic was causing to marine life.

The impact of single-use plastic on the environment is not limited to just marine life, but also affects the air, soil, and water. The production of single-use plastic requires significant amounts of fossil fuels, releasing greenhouse gases into the atmosphere and contributing to climate change. Furthermore, plastic waste can release harmful chemicals into the environment, polluting soil, water, and air.

I left that trip with a newfound appreciation for the need to reduce our use of single-use plastic. I made a personal commitment to reduce my own use of single-use plastic by bringing my own reusable bags, water bottles, and utensils with me when I travel. I encourage others to do the same and support initiatives to reduce the production and use of single-use plastic. By working together, we can reduce the harm caused by single-use plastic and protect the environment for future generations.

In our country India, many companies produce millions of tons of single-use plastics every year, most of which can not be recycled. Once the single-use plastic is used then it is thrown away in the garbage. It is very harmful to the life of human beings, animals, plants, and marine creatures. That is why the Indian government has strictly banned the use of these things.

What is single-use plastic?

Generally, single-use plastic means disposable plastic. All the plastic products that we cannot reuse are called single-use plastic. The main component of single-use plastic is petroleum. These are produced at very low cost and we are used widely nowadays. Since it cannot be used more than once and it is not spoiled, these are extremely harmful to the ecology.

Examples of single-use plastic

Single-use plastics include plastic bags, plastic glass, polythene, straws, plastic cups, dishes, plastic soda, water bottles, and food packaging items. All these items are used only once and after that are thrown far away in the garbage.

Harmful effects of single-use plastic

1. Single-use plastics are not biodegradable. They usually go under the ground where it is buried it goes into the water and after sometimes it goes into the sea through rivers.

2. Plastics break down into smaller particles by entering soil and water bodies and they do not decompose. Single-use plastics live in the soil and water more than hundred years.

3. The use of single-use plastic is very dangerous for humans, and animals.

4. With the food of water aquatic animals the plastic particles go inside the body. Since plastic is not digestible it has a deadly effect on the body of aquatic animals.

Elimination of single-use plastic

It is now known to all of us what single-use plastic can do to our beautiful planet. So it’s time to eliminate or at least reduce the use of plastics in our daily life. Following are some ways which can be acquired to deal with this burning problem.

Reduce of usage of Plastics

To effectively reduce the menace of plastic pollution, we ourselves are badly in need of reducing our usage of plastics. Everyone should build habits of carrying reusable shopping bags, avoiding bottled water, and drinking tea from a reusable cup. The main motto should be not to use plastics when there is a better alternative.

Reuse of Plastics

In spite of all our efforts, if we found hornists and have been compelled to use, then we should think about reusing those plastics. Many plastics can be reused for different purposes e.g. in art and craft, as resistance, etc. So before throwing the plastics into the garbage we just have to consider its reusage.

Recycle of Plastics

In unavoidable cases, one should go for recyclable plastic instead of single-use plastic, so that these can be reprocessed into new products and thus the load of plastics may be reduced in the wastage pant.

Awareness of using Plastics

Apart from all means, the most important work is to grow awareness among the people to change the mindsets and make a significant behavioral change regularly the reduction of single-use plastic.

Single-use plastics are a serious threat to the environment. It can really be one of the major causes of the destruction of our beautiful planet. So it is crucial to reduce, rather stop the usage of single-use plastic by getting habituated with eco-friendly products. Everyone should take an oath at the core of their heart to protect our world from plastic pollution.
