My school essay for class 3.

Writing an essay can be an easy task, even if you are studying in the 3rd grade. It requires an outline that states all the important things.

Let’s look at an example:

The name of my school is (NAME OF SCHOOL). It is one of the most famous schools in my city. The buildings in my school are very big and very nice to see. My class is in a clean, beautiful building that has three floors.

There are many school buses in my school for students and teachers. There is a GPS tracker on each bus so no one will get lost.

There is also a big playground with many plants and trees in which we play every day. My school is very clean and full of greenery and I like to study here.

My school has an auditorium where we assemble for prayer every day in the morning. All the competitions are done here. It also has a big lab where we learn how chemicals behave.

My school has many classrooms whose walls are painted with many nice designs. The library of my school has many interesting books that i like to read.

I have many friends in my school, and we play together during lunch break.

My school has a computer lab, music and craft room. All the students can use computers for their studies. I also like playing the organ when we have music class. Maybe I will ask my mother to let me go for organ lessons.

All the classrooms are airy and there are ACs and fans in each room. They also have a generator so we never have to feel hot if there is no current.

My school has the best teachers in the world. Our teachers are very affectionate and caring, and they teach us very politely and make us learn subjects in very creative and attractive ways. If we have any doubt in any subjects, the teachers help us any time.  They amke sure that we are healthy and happy.

We celebrate national events like Republic Day, Independence Day, Children’s Day, Teacher’s Day etc. at school with great joy and costumes. For Teacher’s Day I dressed up like my maths teacher, Rao sir.

My school offers scholarships to all talented students. My school also provides a city tour to the parks and museums for all students. I love to go on these tours.

We have sports class once every week and the teacher asks us to run and play outside. It is so much fun!

My school is my second home and I love my teachers.  I love to go to school on a daily basis in my blue and white uniform.

The colour of my uniform is blue, and I wear blue-colour uniform for five days in a week. On Saturdays, we go home early from school and we wear red-colour uniform because my house name is Red house and my friends wear green and yellow colours according to their houses.

My school teaches us how to be a good human being and be polite and respect everyone.

Every week my school has a different competition, in which many students participate. After winning, they compete in front of bigger schools and the students who win are rewarded by the principal.

How to Write an Expository Essay for Grade Three

Christi O'Donnell

How to Make an Outline for a Fourth Grade Research Paper

Third grade is often the year when students first begin to experiment with structured writing, such as the expository essay. Writing an expository essay in third grade is a lot like making a sandwich. Just as a good sandwich has three parts -- the top bun, fillings and bottom bun -- a good expository essay also has three parts: the introduction, details and conclusion.

Choose a Topic

Many children choose to write expository essays about animals.

You write an expository essay to tell or teach the reader about a topic. Start by choosing a topic that you think is interesting and that you already know a lot about. You might choose to write about an animal you like, a place you have visited or a person whom you have read about. If you have too many ideas, make a list and then close your eyes and pick.

Do Some Research

Use good research to bolster your topic.

Research is when you look for more information on a topic. Start your research by choosing and reading a book about your topic. Pick a book that is nonfiction, as it will have factual information that you can use in your essay. As you read, take notes. Use a notebook to copy down the facts that you think are most important and to write down questions that you have. You will refer to these notes as you write your essay.

Write the Introduction

The beginning of your expository essay is your introduction -- where you capture the reader's attention and tell her what the main idea of the essay is going to be. Make the introduction as interesting as possible so that the reader wants to keep reading. A good way to start an introduction is with a question or with an amazing fact. For example: "Did you know that great white sharks can eat up to 11 tons of food a year? Sharks are amazing and important fish."

Add Some Details

Once you have hooked the reader's attention, tell him more about your topic. Details are individual facts that provide more information about a topic. The best details give sensory information. That means that they give more information that helps your reader imagine how things feel, smell, sound, taste or look. Try to include at least three details in your expository essay. For example: "Sharks might look smooth when they are in the water, but their skin is actually very rough. Sharks are often called silent hunters, because the only sounds they make are crunching sounds -- after they've caught their prey."

Write a Conclusion

The final part of your expository essay is the conclusion where you return to the main idea of your essay and restate it in different words. The conclusion helps tie the whole essay together and reminds the reader of the most important points. Conclusions often start with phrases like "in conclusion," "as you can see," "finally" or "in the end."

Proofread Your Work

Turn in work that you're proud to put your name on.

If you wrote your essay on paper, reread it and look for spelling, punctuation and capital letter mistakes. If you find any, fix them. If you wrote your essay on the computer, print out a copy and read it on paper, looking for the same kinds of mistakes. Before you hand in your work, check that your name is on the paper. You want to get credit for the hard work you did.

Now that you have your outline, it’s time to start writing your essay. Follow the outline you created in the previous step, and make sure to use clear and concise language.

In the body paragraphs, focus on the topics you brainstormed in the previous step. Use specific examples to illustrate your points and make your writing more engaging. For example, if you are writing about your hobbies and interests, you could write:

“I love to read books, especially mysteries and adventure stories. One of my favorite books is ‘The Secret of the Old Clock’ by Carolyn Keene. I also enjoy playing soccer and practicing karate. Last month, I earned my yellow belt in karate and I am very proud of myself.”

In the conclusion paragraph, summarize the main points of your essay and restate why you are writing it. You can also end with a final thought or reflection.

“In conclusion, I hope you enjoyed learning more about me and some of the things I like to do. I am excited to share this essay with my teacher and classmates, and I look forward to getting to know everyone better.”

Proofreading and Editing

After you have finished writing your essay, it’s important to proofread and edit it carefully. Check for spelling and grammar errors, and make sure your sentences flow smoothly. You can also ask a parent or teacher to read over your essay and give you feedback.

Example: Myself Essay – A Little Bit About Me

Hi, my name is Sarah and I am in grade 3. I have a younger brother named Jack and two pets, a dog named Max and a cat named Luna. In my free time, I love to play outside with my friends, read books, and draw pictures.

I live with my mom and dad, my brother, and our pets. My mom works at a hospital and my dad is a teacher. They are both really nice and they help me with my homework when I need it. My School Essay 500 Words

The place where children as the leaders of tomorrow study and where the future of the nation is shaped are called schools. Education is an essential weapon for tomorrow, so the good schools of today are important for the best future of a nation. Schools are the center of learning where we attend classes on various subjects, interact with the teachers, get our queries

answered, and appeared in exams. In my school, learning is more like a fun activity, because of the extra-talented teaching staff.

My school is a government primary school located on the outskirts of the city. Usually, when people think about a government school, they perceive it to be at an isolated location and have poor basic amenities and teaching facilities. But, despite being a government school, my school defies all such speculations. Teachers of my school are not only knowledgeable about the subjects they teach but also are skilled enough to teach through fun activities. For example, our physics teacher explains every concept by stating real-life examples that we could relate to. This way we not only understand the subject better. Moreover, not a moment I remember, when any teacher had ever replied rudely to any of the students. They always patiently listen and provide answers to all the queries posed to them. Learning at my school is fun and it is made possible only because of the teachers.

My school is very important in my life, in a way even more than my family. My family gives me love, care, and affection, and provides for all my other essential needs. But, all of this isn’t enough to make me a good human being and succeed in life.  Favorably, I am lucky enough to be enrolled in a prestigious school, and gaining a wonderful education, looking forward to realizing my dreams one day. The most necessary for success in life is education, and only my school provides it to me. Without my school and the education that it gives, I would be like a confused and wandering soul, almost aimless in life.

My school helps with my educational and overall personality development. It imparts education through classes, tests, and exams to teach me how to conduct myself confidently. It just feels so great to be in my school and be a part of everyday activities, be it lectures, sports, or Something else. While in school, I always feel happy, confident, enthusiastic, and loved. I make friends at school, those whom I will never forget and will always love them. My family supports my materialistic needs, but school is the place where my actual physical, social, and mental development takes place.  I know that every question that crosses my mind will be answered by my teachers. I also know that my school friends will always be at my side whenever I need them to be. As much as the studies, my school also stresses much on These activities as the management thinks that extracurricular activities are very essential for our overall personality development. My school provides dedicated teachers and staff for each extracurricular activity. We have a big sports ground with kits for all the major sports; a covered auditorium for dance and music and a separate basketball court.

The role my school plays in my personality development is fantastic. It not only imparts education in me but also teaches me how to conduct myself and how to behave decently and properly. I get trained in all the other necessary skills of life, like how to keep calm in challenging situations and help others as well. My school teaches me to be a good and evolved human being, to stay composed and progressive always. It also teaches me to be kind and generous to others and not differentiate them based on their caste, religion, ethnicity, or other divisions. These are some of the most essential personality traits that my school imparts to me, something that I will always be thankful for. Every time I think of my school, I think of it as a temple of education. A temple, where my soul meets education, making my life more meaningful and useful to society and the nation as well. It is a place where my aspirations get a wing and I get the strength and confidence to realize them. No other place in the entire world could replace my school and the role that it plays in my life. I will always be thankful to my friends, teachers, and the staff of my school, for making it such a comfortable and Educational place of learning.

How To Write An Essay On Myself For Class 3 Kids

Shaili Contractor

Key Points to Remember When Writing an Essay on ‘Myself’ for Class 3

10-line essay on ‘myself’ for kids, short paragraph on ‘myself’ for class 3 kids, long essay on ‘myself’ in english for grade 3.

  • What Will Your Third Grader Learn From This Essay?

Young kids often struggle with expressing themselves, especially while writing! One of the best ways can be to ask them to write about themselves, such as an essay about ‘myself’. To improve their communication skills, they are taught essay writing. Essay writing tasks inculcate in them the habit of expressing their thoughts clearly and in a more structured format. When they write an essay, they learn to put their thoughts into words, think in detail about the given topic, and improve their writing skills. One of the best and most common topics to introduce them to essay writing is writing on ‘Myself’. For a third-grader, writing about oneself is easier than writing about other things. They know the basics about themselves, their likes and dislikes, their hobbies and other things. Once they experience the joy of expressing themselves fluidly, they will want to write about other things too. So start with an essay about myself for class 3 to set the essay writing guidelines for them and then give them other topics to write about.

Essay writing is an important part of the third-grade curriculum to inculcate the habit of good communication skills. An essay on ‘myself’ is the easiest essay topic for young kids. Some kids can express themselves clearly and fluidly when writing ‘myself’ essays. However, most kids struggle with what to write. Here are some key points to help the kids to write the best essay on themselves:

  • Introduce yourself first.
  • Write your age.
  • Introduce your parents, siblings, and other members of the family.
  • Mention the name of your school and the class you are studying in.
  • Write about your favorite subjects and/or teachers.
  • Talk about the sports you play at school.
  • Introduce your friends.
  • Talk about the things you do with your friends.
  • Mention your hobbies, likes, and dislikes (books, foods, places, etc) and pastimes.
  • Write about your pets, if you have any.

For a third-grader, essay writing is not so easy. Writing about themselves provides them with the opportunity to express themselves freely and easily. A ‘myself’ essay improves their creative writing and confidence to write essays. Here are 10 lines to help kids write the best my self essay for class 3:

  • My name is Rahul Arora and I am 8 years old.
  • My father’s name is Sushil Arora and my mother’s name is Ruchi Arora.
  • I have an elder brother, Prashant Arora, and a younger sister, Shweta Arora.
  • My brother is 10 years old and my sister is 4 years old.
  • I study in Modern Cambridge School in Class 3.
  • My favourite subject is mathematics.
  • Subhash is my best friend and we study in the same class.
  • I play a lot of games with him.
  • In the evening, I play football with my colony friends.
  • I love to read comics and watch cartoons.

When teaching young kids to write essays, it is easy to start with short paragraphs first to get them interested in essay writing. Writing a short paragraph on themselves is easier for third graders than a long one. Here is a sample of a short essay about myself:

My name is Rahul Arora. I am 8 years old and live in the capital city of India, New Delhi. There are five people in my family, my parents, two siblings, and me. My father’s name is Sushil Arora and my mother’s name is Ruchi Arora. My elder brother, Prashant Arora is 10 years old. My younger sister, Shweta Arora is 4 years old. I study in Modern Cambridge School in class 3. I study many subjects in my school and mathematics is my favourite subject. I also play many games at school with my friends. My best friend, Subhash also studies in my class. We go to the school together on the same school bus. In the evening, I play football with my friends in the colony playground. Sometimes we also play cricket and other games. I have two hobbies, reading comic books and watching cartoons. In my free time, I also like to draw cartoons.

Once the grade three kids learn to write short paragraphs on themselves , they can move on to write a long essay. Through short paragraphs, they have learned to express their thoughts, form paragraphs in a sequential manner, and write fluidly. So now writing a long essay on Myself for third-grade kids is easy. Here is a sample Myself essay on:

My name is Rahul Arora and I live in New Delhi. I am 8 years old and study in Modern Cambridge School in class 3. My father’s name is Sushil Arora and he is a businessman. My mother’s name is Ruchi Arora and she works as a manager in a big company. I have two siblings. My elder brother, Prashant Arora studies in class 5 and he is 10 years old. My younger sister, Shweta Arora is 4 years old and studies in kinder garden.

I have many friends but Subhash is my best friend. He lives near my house and studies in my class. We go to school together on the same school bus. In school, we study many subjects but mathematics is my favourite subject and English is Subhash’s favourite subject. During our recess and sports period, we play many games. In the evening, after coming from school we go to the colony playground. There we play football and cricket with our other friends. On weekends, we go to swimming classes.

I am fond of reading comics and watching cartoons. Doraemon is my favourite cartoon character. My parents keep gifting me comic books on my birthday and other occasions. I have collected many carton books. In my free time, I also like to draw cartoons. My elder brother is good at drawing and he keeps teaching me how to draw and paint.

I am fond of eating pasta. My mother, on Sundays and other holidays, makes a lot of pasta for me. She is a good cook. I don’t like to eat green vegetables but my parents tell us that eating green vegetables is good for our health. So, we eat green vegetables and salads every day. My father also likes to cook and makes many delicious dishes for us. I love to help my parents with their cooking. I can make sandwiches and cut vegetables. When I grow up I aspire to become a great chef.

What Will Your Third Grader Learn From This Essay?

Through a composition on the self, third-grade kids learn to express themselves. While writing a simple essay about myself, third graders improve their vocabulary, sentence making, writing/paragraph making skills, and grammar. Writing the ‘Myself’ essay is the first step of the creative development of a third-grader. It teaches young kids to fluidly express their thoughts into words and structure paragraphs. As kids learn to write sentences, along with their creativity, their intelligence quotient also improves. They gain clarity of thoughts and improve their concentration.

An essay on ‘Myself’ is one of the earliest essays written by a third-grader. Writing about oneself teaches young kids to explore their creativity and express themselves freely. It is the easiest way to interest young kids in creative writing!

My Favourite Subject Essay in English for Class 3 Students

Essay on my favourite subject for class 3 students.

Writing an essay on My Favorite Subject in English helps students from class 3 to express why the subject is close to them and what makes it interesting for them. Here, Vedantu has provided a Short Essay on My Favorite Subject for Class 3 Students so that it becomes easier for them to understand the importance of the subject and compose an essay on a topic of My Favorite Subject.

All students have one favorite subject out of all the different subjects they study at school. For most of the students, English is their favorite subject. English is one of the most interesting subjects. Students from class 3 can learn new words and read so many wonderful stories with English subjects. English not only helps students from class 3 to write better but also teaches them many new lessons.

Essay writing tasks are introduced in the syllabus of junior school so as to improve the English writing skills of young kids. It also helps the kids learn to put their ideas into meaningful sentences and paragraphs. While writing an essay on ‘My Favorite Subject’, kids will be able to communicate what exactly they are interested in when it comes to academics. We at Vedantu have come up with two essays on ‘My Favorite Subject’ that are easy to understand for the kids of class 3.

My Favorite Subject: Mathematics

My favorite subject is Mathematics and Miss Olivera teaches us this subject in school. Our school has given us three books on this subject. One book is for mental math, another book is full of worksheets and the third book has all the chapters explained with example sums.

Of all the subjects, I like doing math homework the most. I like solving the sums on double-digit addition and carry over subtraction. Whenever my mother takes me to the market along with her, I try to add up all the money spent before the shopkeeper makes the bill. Sometimes I can add it faster than the shopkeeper does.

I also like to solve the sums on Time and Calendar. My friends and I make teams and play games on time sums, at school. Another Math chapter that I find very interesting is Metric Measures. I do not like to learn all the conversions in this chapter, but I love to measure the lengths of my play tent and my teddy bear with a ruler. My father asks me to convert the length of my play tent into the other units of length that are given in my Math book. He keeps giving me a new task every day to calculate something.

My father helps me with my mathematics homework on the weekends. He always sets a timer on his mobile phone and asks me to finish all the sums within that time. He takes me out for an ice-cream treat whenever I am able to finish all the sums before the timer goes off. He keeps on telling me that I will be able to do good in Math if I practice more.

My Favorite Subject: English

My favorite subject is English and I love to read the stories in my English book. Miss Stephen is our English teacher at school. Our school follows two textbooks for English of which one is for English Grammar and another is for English Literature. Most of the stories and poems in my English book have interesting pictures illustrating the main plot. These pictures help me to understand the stories even better.

I get to learn many new words from each chapter in my English book. The meanings of the new words in every chapter are always given at the end of it. I find it very interesting to make sentences with every new English word that I learn. Also, our English teacher gives us five new vocabulary words to learn at home, every week. We have to write a spelling test on these vocabulary words, at the beginning of every week. I like to use these new vocabulary words when I write or speak to others in English.

In our school, inter-house competitions are held every month and I always participate in the activity of creative writing. All the stories and poems that I get to learn in the English classes help me perform better in this inter-house activity. My mother always tells me to write simple sentences in English so that the reader can understand my message. I love creative writing tasks as I get an opportunity to explore my imaginations more and to express my thoughts into words.

English is not only a regular subject but it also has a creative side. I like to write and express myself with these writings. English being my favorite subject, I love to read books and write poems and poetries too. This helps me with exploring my skills to write and communicate by learning new words every day through various lessons from the textbook.

One of the main reasons why English is my favorite subject out of all the subjects is because our English teacher is very kind and she teaches us very well. English is a subject that I want to learn more and more about in future.

In English, I not only study grammar but also get to read many different interesting stories and poems. The lessons contained in the English subject have interesting stories and poems that help me improve my reading skills as well as writing skills. When I read these stories and poems from English, I can relate to the characters and love to learn more about them.
