A system is being developed for visually impaired people using speech-to-text conversion and voice response also enabling them to read and send emails and do a variety of other useful tasks using their voice. The purpose of this paper is to propose a Voice-based Email System, to make email systems more accessible to visually impaired people and to help society as a whole. The most important aspect of this system was ease of accessibility. An accessible system is one that is easy to use for both able and disabled users. By describing the Voice based email system architecture, we can demonstrate how a blind person can access e-Mail easily and efficiently. As a result of this research, Blind people are now able to use computers to send and receive voice-based e-Mails by their own voice. The main focus of the proposed system is to help visually challenged people. Elimination of external hardware is the key feature of the proposed system.

Now-a-days internet has become one of the basic aids for day-to-day living. Every human being is widely accessing the knowledge, information and also using for communication through internet. However, blind people face difficulties in accessing these net-based information, also in using any service provided through internet. The advancement in computer based accessible systems has opened up many possibilities for the visually impaired across the worlds in a wide way. Audio based virtual environment like, the screen readers and many voice-based search engines have helped Blind people to access internet applications immensely. We describe the Voice-based mail system architecture that can be used by a Blind person to access e-Mails easily and efficiently. The contribution made by this research has enabled the Blind people to send and receive voice-based e-Mail messages with the help of a computer.

The increased use of technology and its unlimited possibilities have made it impossible for current generations to take full advantage of Internet technology. As a basic need, email is one of the most extensively utilized aspects of the Internet. Aside from the regular users, the face of a visually impaired person has a hurdle when it comes to surfing the Internet, despite the availability of many screen readers. This paper is therefore intended to provide voice assistance to them. As well as email help for simple but essential apps for everyday use like Calculator, Music, etc.

Voice Based Email for Blind

Profile image of International Journal of Scientific Research in Science, Engineering and Technology IJSRSET

E-mail remains the most go-to form of the many communication technologies in the business world. However all these technologies can be of no use to the people who are visually impaired as all activities that can be performed on the computer is based on visual perception. As nearly 285 million people worldwide are estimated to be visually impaired it becomes necessary to render internet facilities for communication useful for them also. This paper aims at developing an email system which helps them to use it without difficulty. The system makes use of speech recognition, Interactive Voice Response (IVR) and mouse click events. As an additional security aspect, the system makes use of voice recognition for user verification.

The development of computer-based interactive technologies has opened multiple opportunities for visually disabled people around a significant majority of the world. The virtual world focused on audio input including screen readers enabled blind people to achieve enormous accessibility to internet applications. That E-mail is consideredto have one of the widest spread forms of communication using in day to day life. Furthermore, visually impaired people cannot perform all the operations in computers with various technologies because it is completely dependent on visual perception. From the invention of emerging technologies in computers, various solutions have been implemented for visually impaired persons to be able to use and get benefit from them. Considering this as a key objective in this paper we have developed an E-mail system for Blind people which can be used efficiently and easily. In this system an individual will not be using the keyboard instead can work with mouse cursor and translation of speech to text and vice versa. This system is based on Interactive Voice Response which makes user friendly and easy to use.

As the technology is enhancing, people are coming more closer to digital life and digital communication. There are many ways to communicate with others through internet in this new advanced era. Most of them are choosing the easiest way of communication i.e., Electronic mail (E-mail). E-mail is the technology that enables user to contact with others by sending mails and also helps in business world communication. There are people who cannot use these technologies because either they are illiterate or do not have ability to see the screen. So, to make this technology closer to visually challenged people, authors proposed a Voice Based E-mail System. This system provides them the facility of communication and make them much stronger and independent. This architecture will help blind people to access e-mail and other multimedia functions. Leaving behind the old techniques, this voice-based email system will be containing new technologies that will be easily acceptable by visually chall...

Due to its clarity and availability, Internet is broadly utilized in practically all the communication applications. In the recent times, number of utilization dependent on web have been created to make the communication as a more reliable and proficient in nature. Out of this various applications, E-mail is the most broadly utilized and dependable approach to speak with one another. The usage of e-mail is quiet easy and clear for ordinary clients yet with regards to the client with visual deformity, the framework is yet exceptionally hard to utilize. Still the current emailing framework is yet not updated for the utilization of visually impaired. This emerges a noteworthy need to redesign the current framework to make it more valuable for the visually impaired. Subsequently, in this study we present an email framework chipping away at the voice controlling rule for the individuals with visual disability to convey a basic and simple admittance to the email framework. This structure will also supportive for the people with different weaknesses alongside the visually impaired peoples.

The advancement in computer based accessible systems has opened up many avenues for the visually impaired across a wide majority of the globe. Audio feedback based virtual environment like, the screen readers have helped blind people to access internet applications immensely. However, a large section of visually impaired people in different countries, in particular, the Indian sub-continent could not benefit much from such systems. This was primarily due to the difference in the technology required for Indian languages compared to those corresponding to other popular languages of the world. In this paper, we describe the voicemail system architecture that can be used by a blind person to access e-mails easily and efficiently. The contribution made by this research has enabled the blind people to send and receive voice-based e-mail messages in their native language with the help of a mobile device. Our proposed system GUI has been evaluated against the GUI of a traditional mail server. We found that our proposed architecture performs much better than that of the existing GUIS. In this project, we use voice to text and text to voice technique access for blind people.

currently, visually challenged people are not able to use computers on their own mainly because keyboards are not user-friendly to them. With advancement in technology, these people find themselves technologically more challenged. This is true especially in the case of social networking, which these people cannot do without external help. Voice-Mail architecture helps blind people to access e-mail and other multimedia functions. Nowadays, the advancement made in computer technology has opened platforms for visually impaired people across the world. Here, we describe the voice based e-mail architecture which can be used by the blind people to access E-mail and multimedia functions easily and efficiently. It will help to reduce the cognitive load taken by the blind to remember and type characters using the keyboard. In this context, we have proposed a voice based e-mail system which will definitely help them communicate over e-mails comfortably on their own , based on artificial intelligence.

The visually challenged people find it very difficult to access the technology because of the fact that using them requires visual perception. Unlike normal users they require some practice for using the available technologies. This application aims at developing an email system that will help even a visually impaired person to use the services for communication without prior training.. It has been observed that nearly about 60% of total blind population across the world is present in INDIA. In this paper, we describe the voice mail architecture used by blind people to access E-mail. This architecture will also reduce cognitive load taken by blind to remember and type characters using keyboard. It also helps handicapped and illiterate people. The system will not let the user make use of keyboard instead will work only on mouse operation and speech conversion to text. Also this system can be used by any normal person also for example the one who is not able to read. The system is completely based on interactive voice response which will make it user friendly and efficient to use.
